Envy 7640 won't print anything except the print quality diagnostic

I'm trying to get a new Envy 7640 installed and working from my desktop running XP SP3. I have it wirelessly connected to my home network and all machines can see the printer. If I launch the HP Printer Assistant and print the quality diagnostic page, it works fine. If I try and print a test page from Windows (or print anything else), it spools for a couple seconds, then the print job disappears. My wireless laptop (MacBook Pro) can print just fine.
I've already tried the following:
Reboot the computer
Power cycle the printer
Uninstall/reinstall the print driver in Windows
Connect the printer directly to the desktop via a USB cable (same result as trying to use it networked)
Restarted the print spooler service
Disabled print spooling for the printer via the Advanced tab of the Printer Properties
Manually created my own TCP/IP port and configured the printer to use it
I'm at my wit's end here. What else can I try? Has anyone else experienced something like this?

The difference is a Windows print job goes through the spooler, and the situation you are describing, sounds very much like the spooler is corruppted or not working.

HP Envy 7645 won't make copies using the printer's feed

When I place my to-be-copied paper into the feed on top of the printer, it will feed 1/2 way and say it is copying, but ulitmately it ends up with a spinning wheel on the screen until I finally have to cancel it. Then it feeds a blank page through the printer, but will not release the original and will not allow me to power down the printer. Ultimately I have to pull the plug and then turn it back on to reset. This seems to be a problem with this model. Is there something that can be done to fix it? (It will not copy at all if I place the original on the scan glass) Thank you!

Installed my HPDeskjet2050All-in-Onej510. Worked fine until I noticed an icon on my screen and it said Dell imaging toolbox(used to have a Dell)don't have a Dell anymore so I deleted the icon. My printer hasn't printed since except to print location(I think) and date at the bottom of whatever I'm trying to print. What did I delete and can I get it back? I have emptied my wastebasket or whatever it's called. I'm not computer literate so instructions will need to be simple. Can't afford repairman. Am on fixed income.

It sounds like you need to uninstall the Dell drivers/software from your computer. Disconnect the HP printer first. Then go into the Windows control panel, then Programs/Programs and Features (depends on which version of Windows that you have) and find the Dell items listed. Now, as long as this is not a Dell computer, and you don't have any other Dell devices connected, then select all the Dell items, one at a time and select Uninstall. Once that is done, restart your computer, and perform the normal installation of the HP printer. You shouldn't see anything with the Dell imaging toolbox anymore.

Had a hp officejet 4500 printer and now have a HP ENVY 4500 e-ALL-in-On series and neither one will print anything from the internet.
Any ideas on what to check ?????

I would start with restoring your iPod classic by putting it into Disk Mode. Once you have that done, you should be able to restore your iPod in iTunes and then start the sync again. Let me know if this works out for you.

Why can't I print anything on the web?

I can print from all the software on my desktop BUT when I try to print anything off the web, nothing happens (i.e., no message appears). I have tried trouble shooting the printer but it says everything is working correctly. How do I enable the printer for internet printing?

As far as printing a page as you see it, many web pages use '''print.css''' files for print-media. The print.css specifies exactly what is to be sent to the printer and it can control the formatting of the printed page.

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw will not print anything except its own config

Just purchased a HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw. I cannot manage to get it to print using any type of connection to the printer.
I can connect to the printer from my Ubuntu PC and my Android phone, but when I attempt to print, the job just hangs, never erroring, but never completing. I have attempted printing from various applications, including a test page from the HPLIP tools, but the jobs reports "processing".
When I attempt to print an information sheet from the printer's front panel, it asks me to confirm, but then nothing happens.
I can connect to the printer's web server, but clicking on the print info button there does nothing.
I have successfully connected with HP's ePrint service using the printer's reported email address, but the service reports "problem with printer".
I don't know what else to try here.

I see that you are having issues printing from the computer and the Android phone.
I will be happy to help you.
Power cycle the computer and the router.
I would do a power reset on the printer. With the printer still turned on, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
Print a hardware self test. Find out what the IP address is.
Printing a Configuration Report.

Is there a reason I can't print wirelessly in Aperture? I am able to from other programs. When I try to print in Aperture, the printer tells me it's offline.

Aperture won't print a photo wirelessly. My other programs print fine wirelessly. Anybody know why? I'm using OS X 10.6.8, Aperture 3.2.4 on an iMac with an Epson Artisan printer. When I try to print in Aperture, the printer utility tells me the printer is offline. But it isn't. I am shooting in RAW, by the way.

I don't have much, but ... make sure you are selecting the entry for the _wireless printer_. It's been some time since I did this — and a few OS's and Aperture versions ago — but I remember that there were multiple entries for my printer: USB, Ethernet, Wireless, and mounted to other computers on the network.

If not the "dnf MFP" model, then no.
The router needs to support the Bonjour protocol. If not, the airprint won't work.

Under "Basic" in the "Printer Settings" of the Print menu, the dropdown menus for both "Page Setup: Sheet" and "Media Type" are frozen.

Frozen selections: I'm working from my Intel iMac trying to print (from both Aperture and Photoshop CS5) to my new Epson 4900 printer. When the Print menu comes up, under the "Basic" section of the "Printer Settings" the dropdown menus for both "Page Setup" and "Media Type" won't activate. All other options and selections work fine. Print directly to the printer option in the Windows registry

I need to find the location for the option to "Print directly to the printer" in the Windows registry. I am trying to create a GPO to enable this option at login and I can't find the location for it. Is this possible to do? If not, is there another way to enable this at startup for all users? We are running Adobe Acrobat X on Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit.

I guess that those of use responding don't know enough about the process you are trying to implement to be of help. Printing to network drives has been an issue for folks for a long time and a lot seems to depend on the network. That is probably of zero help and all I can suggest is just to hang on for someone who hopefully has an idea. If we can get a better handle on what you are trying to do, we might be able to make suggestions. However, I think our answers are not going to be there for the registry issue.
