Envy100 "Device not reachable"
I have searched but could not find an answer to my question and appreciate any input.
I have just purchased an HP Envy 100 and my problem is that I cannot connect it wireless. iMac OS 10.6.7, HP Software 10.6, Airport Xtreme router, I can connect via USB to print but when setting up wireless I receive the following message " device not reachable" the printer provided an ip address in the network settings which i have tried to manually set this on the imac but to no avail. I also have an ipad 4.3.1v that cannot see it and along with an macbook pro 10.6.7v. that i cannot get it to work with. The printer is less than 2ft away from the airport extreme. There are no security password to the network and all computers are using the same network name. I have powered on/off and reset the printer. I have uninstall the printer software and rebooted and reinstalled but no luck.
This question was solved.

Let's start over. From the front of the printer: Setup > Network > Reset Network Defaults. Now, from the same menu run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to the router.
Now, on your Mac let's reset the printing system:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
Finally, run the software again to connect your Mac to the printer.

Photosmart C4385 "Device Not Reachable"
I know this has been addressed in other threads, but none of the solutions have worked for me and my configuration is a little different. So here goes:
I'm running OS 10.6 Snow Leopard with my C4385. My computer is connected to a wireless network via an extender. I don't know anything about the router other than it's probably a Cisco since that's in the network name. The router and extender are both in my landlord's house, so I don't have access to them to reboot, check settings, or anything. Until this morning my printer was associated with the main network, which worked fine, but the signal is very weak and I would rather have it associated with the extender network. I went through the HP Setup Assistant and now all I get is the "Device Not Reachable" error message, whether I use the extender or main network.
I printed a Network Configuration Page and typed the printer's IP into my browser, and it shows up just fine, saying it's connected to the main network. Print & Fax under System Preferences disagrees and I can't print at all anymore (except with the USB cable). The only thing I changed recently is switching to a manual IP address for my laptop since I had lots of connectivity issues with automatic IPs, but after that everything worked until this morning when I ran Setup Assistant.
Sorry for writing a novel. I wish I had more information about the hardware but my landlord's not very helpful with these sorts of things. Any advice would be great! I've tried scrubbing software and reinstalling it and resetting the printing system, with no luck.I see a couple of potential problems, here.
First, adding the printer by IP is dicey. If the router changes the printer's IP (actually WHEN it does, because eventually it will), then your Mac may lose track of it. Plus, adding by IP usually only enables printing, not scanning.
Second, HP printers don't seem to play well with wifi extenders. Is there a way to move your printer so that it is connected to the main router, not the extender?

Configuring Device - Device not reachable
My new Envy 4500 _IS_ on my network.
My new MacBook Pro _IS_ on my network.
I get to the configuration step and all looks good until I get the response below:
"Configuring Device

0 Confirm Wreless Settings
O Select Network
Configuring Device
Configuration Results
Device Not Reachable
Th) wireless network settings were successfully downloaded to your device. However, your Mac
was unable to locate the device on the network.
Please make sure that:
• Your Mac is connected to a wired or wireless network that has access to your device.
• Your device is connected to the wireless network "AC Network".
Fomore information online, visithftp://www.hp.com/o/wirelessprinting"
This is the second HP printer that I am trying to configure that is doing the same darn thing. I thought the first one was faulty, so I exchanged for a slightly different printer. This one has a control screen, so I KNOW that it's on the network. And I KNOW my computer is on the network, or I wouldn't be able to write this.
But they refuse to talk with each other. SO frustrating. I'm ready to give up on HP.

View Solution.Found the problem. HP printers don't support AC Wifi. That would have been nice to know before I wasted 4 hours on 2 printers......

Mac unable to locate HP ENVY 5532 on network during configuration - device not reachable
I have MacBook Pro with OSX 10.9.5 and HP ENVY 5532. I have had it set up and configured for over a year but have always had a problem with scanning. Today after becoming frustrated that the scanning capabilities no longer worked, I found another thread which suggested re-installing the HP drivers and software here. http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/Scanning-from-HP-ENVY-5532-to-Mac-with-Yosemite-operating/td-p/4819461 So I did a full install of the drivers but now the mac cannot even connect to the printer at all during the configuration process. I had been prompted to connect the USB to the printer if the device was not picked up during the configuration process, so I did that. However the printer cannot be reached by the Mac. But I can see that the printer has sucessfully connected to the network. I can see it on the network which I log into the router and I can access it via it's IP address. The printer is connected to the correct network. I have also noticed that the printer itself is showing as a separate wireless network. I have no idea how this happened as I had been trying to do so many things to fix the scanning capabilities in the first place I may have somehow inadvertently set up this network!! Could the printer itself as a network be causing these problems? ANy help would be appreciated.
Hello, I had already re-installed the drivers from the HP website as shown in the link, so I went to the steps as below. Also the router I have has always worked with the printer before (not the scanning capability) but the printing has worked. So does this mean that it supports Bonjour as I have no manual? These are the steps I followed: On the step to Print a Network Configuration Page, the network settings need to be checked . It asked to review the following Review the following sections on the test page.No Filtering: Pass or FailPass: There is no MAC filtering preventing communication between the printer and the router. No action is required.Fail: There is a MAC filter preventing communication. Refer to the router manual or contact the router manufacturer for steps on disabling MAC filtering.
My problem here is that I do not see any section on the test page for No Filtering but everything else appears ok. In the next section Option one: My test page shows the correct SSID and a valid IP address when i get to step 5: Click the plus sign () at the bottom of the left pane. NOTE:Make sure that the printer kind is Bonjour or Bonjour Multifunction. First of all there is no printer to choose from and secondly I see no option to ensure that the kind is Bonjour or Bonjour Multifunction After clicking the + icon, you can see no printers are shown, I think it is probably not much use to me to to do anything further right now until I see what feedback I can get from you. IN the meantime, I will contact my internet service provider to make sure that the router they have supplied supports Bonjour. I have tried to add the printer manually using the IP address and managed to print a page. It shows as following However I am not able to scan. Have you any ideas what is going on? is this something to do with Bonjour? Best RegardsNuala -
Officejet Pro X476dw MFP not reachable
Hi,
out of the blue my Officejet Pro X476dw MFP turned 'not reachable' from my MacBook. Device is still connected to my Wifi network, no changes there since last use. I can print ok from my iPhone. I turned the device off and on again - no success. I turned the MacBook off and on again - same. I reconfiguered Wifi connection at device - same. I deleted printer from MacBook and tried to re-add but installation program couldn't find device. I tried to connect manually using IP address that was shown on device - 'device not reachable'.
I am running out of ideas, appreciate any help!
Thank you!

LMS 3.2: WISM not reachable
Hey Pros.
When I try to add WISM cards to the LMS they are not managable. Neither inventories nor configs can be collected. It's telling me "device not reachable". The community strings are correct and by trying "Management Station to Device" it says "ok" to SNMP but SSH is not successful, nevertheless they are accessible via SSH from the LMS server.
Any idea how I could fix this?
Device updates are all installed.

Thanks in advance!

MarcPerform a new inventory collection job for this device, then look at the IC_Server.log. What is the error you see there?

All the subnets are not reachable over the VPN
Hi all,
We have a EZVPN connection to one of our branch office. Connectivity diagram is attached with this discussion.
HO LAN (10.1.0.0/16 & 192.6.14.0/24) --------- ASA5520-------- Internet ---------- Cisco2911-------- LAN of remote location (10.2.0.0/16)
we are using 10.2.0.0/26 subnet at remote office and 10.1.0.0/16 & 192.6.14.0/24 subnets at HO. From HO through 10.1.0.0/16 & 192.6.14.0/24 all the devices are reachable except the firewall which is connected with GigabitEthernet0/2 interface of cisco2911 router(on which VPN is created).
Its a fortigate firewall and it is reachable locally from the network 10.2.0.0/16. I believe its an issue with phase2 ACLs but didn't able to resolve the issue.
I'm not able to take GUI / CLI interfaces of fortigate firewall even i'm not able to ping the IP of GigabitEthernet0/2 interface of cisco2911.
kindly advise on same.

ISE NODE NOT REACHABLE when building distributed deployment
I am trying to build a distributed deployment with the following personas:
2 policy admin nodes
2 monitoring nodes
4 policy service nodes
This was a project that was partially implemented but never in production. It was in a distributed deployment, but half the nodes were no longer working (http errors or devices weren't reachable or could not sync). I decided to start from scratch. All nodes were:
-de-registered
-application was reset to factory defaults on all nodes
-upgraded all 8 nodes to 1.1.4.218 patch 1
-installed all new certs and joined all nodes to the domain
-added to DNS forward and reverse lookup zones
When I make 1 admin node primary and register the other nodes (secondary admin, monitoring, policy services) the nodes successfully register and show up in the deployment window of the primary; however, all the nodes show as NODE NOT REACHABLE. After registration, I've noticed that the registered nodes are still showing as STANDALONE if I access the GUI. I've tried rebooting them manually after registration and they are still unreachable. I have also tried resetting the database user password from the CLI on both admin nodes and the results are always the same.Originally I had added them all at the same time. I thought that maybe I just wasn't waiting long enough for the sync. I waited an entire day and all the nodes were still unreachable. At this point, I've de-registered all the nodes, rebooted all the nodes, converted the primary back to standalone (the remaining nodes never converted from standalone to distributed even when I rebooted them after registering despite a message that they were successfully registered), converted one node back to primary and tried to register just the secondary admin node giving it plenty of time to sync; this node is still not reachable from the primary.
I've quadruple checked the certificates on all the nodes, these certs were all added on the same day (just last week) and the default self-signed certs were removed.
I had restored from a backup on the primary so I might just rest the config on that node and try joining the other nodes before I restore again. -
ISE 1.1.3.124 secondary node not reachable after registration
G'day All,
I'm constantly seeing that the sync and replication status for my secondary admin/monitor node in the primary node as node not reachable. The secondary still thinks it is in standalone mode. When I run the ISE diag tool connectivity tests I am able successfully ping the devices from each other using both hostname and ip and the nslookup also works fine between both nodes. Ping and nslookups also work from different networks within the environment. The two nodes are in the same vlan on a 6500 vss pair but on different switches of the pair. I'm new to ISE so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks All.

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPhone AppHi Saurav,
Thanks for your prompt repsonse...
I have worked through that section of the document. The registration completes successfully, I've got NTP sync on both nodes and the system time on both nodes is identical.
I am only using the self signed certificates, but following the user guide instructions I have imported the secondary's cert into the primary node.
Just as of about 30 minutes ago, I saw an alarm on the Secondary ISE node stating that a Slow or Stuck Replication has been detected...
As I said in the original post, I can ping the fqdn's from each other so it appears that the DNS requirements have been satisfied.
I've changed the admin account password, I am certain that the ISE DB passwords are correct and the same on both nodes and the timezones for both nodes is the same also....
It looks to me that registration is fine, but the first full replication isn't completing successfully
Thanks,

Afaria Trial Server Not reachable
Hi All,
I created a SAP Afaria Trial account, the account has instantiated a Server with a IP private address
which is not reachable, I have tested the IP (10.17.3.207) with following tools
Ping.eu
Tracert
It fails to reach the server
I did the following :
Went to the site http://www.sapmobilesecure.com/
Clicked on Free Trail
Registered my self
Got Two emails with login credentials
Logged into the server https://portal.sapafaria.com/login.php
Got the Server IP(10.17.3.207) address from Server Tab from the Administrator menu
Tried to access the wsdl as follows from desktop chrome browser
http://10.17.3.207:7980/AfariaService/Policy?wsdl
Which returns following error message in the chrome browser (I have installed fiddler in chrome)
[Fiddler] The connection to '10.17.3.207' failed.
Error: TimedOut (0x274c).
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly
respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
The IP provided is private(as tested from ping.eu).
Can any one help in any pointer to resolve the issue.Hello Prakash,
as SAP Afaria is a tool for mobile devices, you might have a faster answer if you post this question in the SAP for Mobile Discussions (as that Space is more relevant for mobile-related problems).

SPA 3102- STUN SERVER NOT REACHABLE
Hello,
Following are Line 1 settings of an SPA-3102
Nat mapping enabled=yes
Nat keep alive enabled=yes
Proxy server:correct proxy server specified
Outbound proxy server: Correct outbound proxy server specified
UserID and passwords are configured properly
SIP TAB:
RTP port min=16384
RTP port max=16390
Handle via received=yes
Insert via received=yes
Substitute via addr=yes
STUN enable=yes
STUN Server=aa.aa.com (correct STUN server configured)
Hadle via rport=yes
Inser via rport=yes
Send resp to SRC port=yes
STUN test enable=yes
TURN server=not configured
STUN test enable=yes
EXT IP=not configured
NAT keep alive INTVL=15
Problem:
On the REGISTER message I am receiving following warning
Warning: 399 spa "STUN Server Not Reachable"
User-Agent: Linksys/SPA3102-5.1.7(GW)
Content-Length: 0
Allow: ACK, BYE, CANCEL, INFO, INVITE, NOTIFY, OPTIONS, REFER
Supported: x-sipura, replaces
Would you please explain why I receive STUN not reachable warning? It is a reachable STUN server. SPA 3102 devices are placed behind ADSL modems of ITSPI just noticed that you have Handle VIA received = yes, so if the proxy is responding with a 'received' tag, then the SPA would learn its external IP, without needing to contact the STUN server. I have a system that is behind NAT but does not need STUN or symmetric RTP, because it uses the IP from the received tag in the SDP. (In my case, I have the RTP ports forwarded to the SPA, so no port number translations are needed.)

DMP 4305 getting hanged and not reachable
Hi,
We have a DMP 4305 player which is running the version 5.2.1 and MCS 7835-H2 server playing version 5.2.2.
The players are getting hanged after few days and is not reachable. We need to restart the players, but the same thing repeats after few days.
Kindly advise.Hi,
Normally DMP and DMM are supposed to run the same version so the first step here would be to upgrade your DMP to 5.2.2 so that it matches the DMM version.
If you still have the problem afterwards a TAC case would be the way to go to investigate if we are facing a memory leak or a simple hang of the device.

How do you reset activation lock when original owner is not reachable?w
How do you reset activation lock when original owner is not reachable?
You don't. If you cannot locate the original owner, then the device is useless to you. If you purchased it from someone, try returning it for a refund, otherwise it is an expensive paperweight. Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

When i loose network in elevators-basments, after network is restored my phone is not reachable to anyone until unless i make it wakeup manually.
have tried restoring to factory setting but nothing worksOn2CO, I'm glad you have reached out to us today. Thank you so much for the very detail description on what is going on with the device. Sounds like there might be an issue with an application that might be causing these issues. The reason I say that is, when the phone is in Safe Mode you are able to access the Settings screens with no issues. While in Safe Mode that does block all 3rd party applications from running on the phone. I would suggest on trying to back up the device and perform a factory reset: http://spr.ly/6-182Vuo (you would want to make sure to uncheck Automatic Restore in step 3). Once the reset is complete try to see if you can get into Settings. Then, I would recommend on adding 3rd party applications back on to the device one by one to see if we can find what app might be causing this issue. Please keep us posted if you have any further questions or concerns.
