Aggregate tables have many partitions per request

We are having some performance issues dealing with aggregate tables and
Db partitions. We are on BW3.5 Sp15 and use Oracle DB 9.2.06. After
some analysis, we can see that for many of our aggregates, there are
sometimes as much as a hundred partitions in the aggregates fact table.
If we look at infocube itself, there are only a few requests (for
example, 10). However, we do often delete and reload requests
frequently. We understood that there should only be one partition per
request in the aggregate (infocube is NOT set up for partitioning by
other than request).
We suspect the high number of partitions is causing come performance
issues. But we don;t understand why they are being created.
I have even tried deleting the aggregate (all aggregate F tables and
partitions were dropped) and reloading, and we still see many many more
partitions than requests. (we also notice that many of the partitions
have a very low record count - many less than 10 records in partition).
We'd like to understand what is causing this. Could line item
dimensions or high cardinality play a role?
On a related topic-
We also have seen an awful lot of empty partitions in both the infocube
fast table and the aggregate fact table. I understand this is probably
caused by the frequent deletion and reload of requests, but I am
surprised that the system does not do a better job of cleaning up these
empty partitions automatically. (We are aware of program
SAP_DROP_EMPTY_FPARTITIONS).
I am including some files which show these issues via screen shots and
partition displays to help illustrate the issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ideally the aggregates should get compressed by themselves - there could be some change runs that have affected the compression.
Check the following :
1. See if compressing the cube and rolling up the aggregates will merge the partitions.
2. What is the delta mode for the aggregates ( are you loading deltas for aggregates or full loads ) ?
3. Aggregates are partitioned according to the infocube and since you are partitioning according to the requests - the same is being done on the aggregates.
Select another partitioning characteristic if possible. - because it is ideally recommended that request should not be used for partitioning.

Upload is not working on the new JDev10131 production.
I followed the instructions, but it does not work. (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/jsf/doc/devguide/fileUpload.html)
I used small (1k,30k) and big files (1mb+)
I've done it before in JDev10131 preview and it works.

I have created a PO for a plant with IN country.
I have deleted that line. Now i am adding a new line with another plant. This plant refers to US country.
System is not allowing to save and it is giving error message as below
Error:Please choose plants from one country only per PO (Here IN)
Message no. ME552
Can any one pls expalin why do i get this error even if i have deleted the first line. From where the country is getting refered and its throwing error inspite of deleting the first line.

Thank you for your response.
Both the plants are created for the same company code.
One plant is with IN country and the other with US country.
And the company code is created with IN country and currency INR(T001)
Will this cause the error. Can you pls expalin.

Per-request singleton

I am coming from the .NET world and am relatively new to Java web apps. A construct I have found very useful in .NET is having a class that acts as a singleton to provide services to other classes on a per-request basis. In other words, for the purposes of that request the class is a singleton. I would use it, for example, to signal the beginning and end of a SQL transaction. .NET has the concept of "thread-static", which means that a member variable can be declared static on a per-thread (or per-request) basis. I cannot simply declare an variable "static" in Java because it would be available to all simultaneous requests, which would be an error. Is there a way of doing this in Java?

This is definitely the Java part of what I need. Thanks! Now, the remaining part is to figure out the - I assume javax part, which allows me to insert code that is executed at the beginning of a request and at the end. I assume there is some javax class that I need to extend, or an interface I must implement in order to get this. The ServletContextListener class allows me to hook into web app startup and shutdown, but not each request.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I received an erroneous "per request" downgrade email (saying I had downgraded to free account) but my account was charged $20.00! I had never requested a downgrade! Why? And what has happened to my data in excess of 5 GB storage??

I received an email from Apple about fifteen minutes ago saying that "per your request" I had downgraded to a free account for iCloud. But I had made no such request! In fact, I had expected Apple to charge me $20.00 for a full 15 GB of storage. And Apple in fact did charge my bank card for that amount! But when I check the Apple device, an iPod Touch (4th Gen) for my iCloud storage status, it states that I had "exceeded" my free 5 GB! This is absurd, since Apple owes me a full 15 GB based on the fact that it has charged my bank card for the amount of $20.00 for that storage option.
To make things worse, the device nevertheless contradictorily refuses to let me "upgrade" to the $20.00 option on the relevant screen (since obviously the truth is that I have a full 15 GB and the information on the screen recognizes this fact), even as it continues to state on an earlier screen that I had only 5 GB, not 15 GB, of storage (and had exceeded it).
So the bottom line is that 1. Apple sent me an erroneous notice that I had "downgraded" to a free account when I had done no such thing; 2. My iPod now relates two contradictory stories about how much storage I really have (as noted in the second paragraph above); and 3. I'd like to know what happened to the data I already had in storage that had already exceeded 5 GB -- did it get erased?
I've been charged $20.00 for a full 15 GB and yet still have nothing to show for it but the 5 GB free account! Worse yet, I may have lost data (as the storage used before all of this happened was a little over 6 GB already).

I have the same problem. For about 1 month ago I extended my iCloud storage account (+20 GB) in order to maintain my backups for iPHONE and iPAD as my account would expire 14/10. In spite of this, I got an email 15/10, which said that iCloud was reduced to 5 GB. 2 hours later I received a new email with comfirmation on the purchase of +20 GB storage plan. However, I only have access to 5 GB on my iPad and iPhone. Called Apple Support but they couldn´t help me. Did you find any solution ?

[Feature request] Here Drive+ - possibility to cho...

It's one of the features that it lacks most. Righ now I need to open Here Maps. Long tap on location then choose navigate and select which app to use. It would be great if I could do the same in Here Drive+. Just long tap on a map and from context menu select "Navigate" or "Add to Favorites".
Second feature that should be one of a basics is to add waypoints on a route. For example I'm driving from Town A to Town B but I also have to pick up my friend from Town C which lies near the road to Town B. Righ now I have to start navigation from A to C then after I reach my destination I need to start it again from C to B. Instead of just set navigate me from A to B via C. I would like to prepare my route at home and then just launch Here Drive+ and drive. Right now after reachning my waypoint I have to find some place to park a car and set next point on a route.
Third and last feature would be adding radars and voice nottification to POI.

Why PageController method invoked multiple times per request

I have a page with a customized PageController to override the "prepareModel(LifecycleContext)" method to create bindings dynamically for the page.
I expected the overridden method only invoked once per loading/refresh of the page.
From debugging, I found the overridden method actually invoked 3 times before the page was loaded.
When I put some logic so that bindings only created the 1st time the overridden method invoked, then the page failed to show the data properly as if the binding was missing.
With some debugging, I noticed the PageController invoked multiple times when I added the af:table to the page.
Any idea why prepareModel() got invoked multiple time per loading of a page with af:table ?
How do I determine when to create bindings within prepareModel() so that bindings only created once and the page can use the binding to show the data properly?

Serious problem! Setting per-request proxy server

I wrote the usual code for setting a proxy server for my application:

More than 700 iphone4 are stolen per month here. how to lock or recover them?

My iphone4 was stolen. And when I went to replace the SIM card, I was told at least 20-30 people came daily for same reason in Shanghai now.
Can I somehow have my iphone locked or positioned with the serial number? Sorry i did not have mobileme or find my iphone installed yet.

Crop anomalies

As per request, here is a description of my problems with the crop tool. About 1/2 the time I use the crop tool I get a new version, but the white "select" rectangle around the thumbnail disappears. I can still make adjustments to the version, but when I select "promote", nothing happens unless I click on the thumbnail version to re select it.
Every time I try to use the crop tool. the first time I click and drag, nothing happens. I need to click 2x to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.

I've always had trouble with the Aperture cropping tool, always. I'd hoped upgrading to the Lion OS would fix it but it hasn't.
I'm on Aperture 3.1.3 and Lion 10.7. When I click the cropping tool then click the photo where I want to start cropping, half the time nothing happens. I have to click my photo a second time to get the crop to start. Same problem with the allignment tool. I never know if it will work when I click it the first time or if I'll need to click it again. Even when the allignment tool starts to work, it often (usually?) stops working and I have to click the photo again.
My other continuing irritation is with the pinwheel. WHY do I get the pinwheel so often for so long on so many of the things I do in Aperture?!?!? It's maddening. I've searched out every solution and none has made any difference int the time Aperture gets stuck processing the simplest thing.
I love Apple, but after two years of using Aperture, I've had enough, it just doesn't work for me. I downloaded a demo copy of Adobe Lightroom last night and was up and running in ten minutes. So far it's great. If Apple really wants to compete, they better catch up fast.
The only solution I've found for the problems with Aperture's cropping and allignment tools is to buy another program. That means spending another $300 to switch over to Lightroom. That means I've wasted two years and a lot of money on two versions of Aperture. Enough, I've had it. If Apple can't fix this program, I'll use a program that works properly.
Sorry I don't have a better solution for you.
