Envy4-1053TX Cant boot windows

I have envy4-1053tx and os already corrupted,i have try to reinstall the windows using F11 function but after finish recovery it show NO Bootable devices.i try to swap ram & hdd also same issue. What cause the problem

Hello pklam. I understand that you're being told that there are "no bootable devices" is this correct?
When you enter the BIOS for the notebook does it detect an HDD?
Have you tried running the built in hard drive test? Here are instructions.
Have you verified the boot order of the notebook in the BIOS? Is the HDD listed in the boot order?  To do this enter your BIOS by pressing F10 during boot and then going to the "System Configuration" section and then the "boot order" section.
I will await your response; have a great day!

  • Cant boot windows-Missing config file

My sister has a Satellite A105-S4384 laptop and she got a virus on it. I restarted the pc on safemode and did a scan. When the scan finished, it prompted me to restart to finish removing the infected files, so I did. after that, I wanted to restart in safemode again so I could do another scan, but i forgot to press f8, so when the system was still loading, i pressed the power button and the pc rebooted. Once the pc restarted, I pressed f8, then i got the error message that windows could not start b/c it was missing the file or it was corrupted (windows/system32/config/system).
I dont remember having the the XP media center edition installation disk, nor can I find it. Please help

Best to restore the hard drive to its original factory-new contents. Replacement media can be ordered by calling Toshiba Customer Service at 1-800-457-7777.
They will want the computer's serial number and a credit card number.

I have installed windows on the new NTFS partician and cant boot  it back to mac. I dont think I loaded the bootcamp for windows properly now it is stuck in Windows with no bootcamp icon

  • Cant boot os x after installing windows

I have a 2011-2012 macbook pro 15. yesterday I installed windows 7 using bootcamp and installed all drivers. everything seemed fine and I even switched to OS X Yosemite once and went back to windows again. and then I tried to restart and boot back to OS X and it did not let me. so basically once I restart, I hold the option key and when I do that nothing happends. all I see is a black screen. it does not show me the booting options. If I restart the computer and touch nothing windows automatically boots up. so windows is fine. so what I tried to do is go into bootcamps control panel and change the start up boot to OS X and restarted thought this might automatically boot osx but it didnt. so macbook got restarted and it stayed on black screen. option key still doesnt work. I also tried the command + R and i get the utility screen but I still cant boot OsX eventhough i can load windows again from start up on my utility screen. so I dont know if i need to re install OSx, or if its the drivers or a hardware issue or what. please help me out, I need my OS X and files that i have on it

Agree. Zalman 9900 is my CPU cooler of choice.
In tests done with a lot of recent Intel platforms, in many cases, 4.4 - 4.7 seems to be the optimum range. The performance curve often starts to level out with not much to show for it other than high voltages and the associated extra heat.
The 'double boot' behavior is common. My Z68's do it too, but not always. There are a lot of theories as to why, but I think it is some kind of frequency anamoly. For example, RAM at 1866 doesn't do it, but RAM at 2133 will. 2200 it stops again.
Make sure 'Spread Spectrum', 'EuP 2013', and 'Overspeed Protection' are 'Disabled'. Double check that the duration and power limits are set above the defaults in the OC sub menu 'CPU Features'.
all of that is disable and i cant see the short poer durations and all of that.
with them enable they stop arround 200 and i cant set them higher

  • CDBOOT: Cant boot from CD - Code 5 (Windows 7)

    Hey gang,
I been searching for the past 2 days for my answer but unable to find it. Maybe you guys can help me which is VERY VERY VERY important that I get Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro!
I have a Windows 7 ISO which I obtain leggaly.  When I turn off my Mac and when it boots back up I keep getting:
CDBOOT: Cant boot from CD - Code 5
I have a "early" 2011 Macbook pro, I made 6 diffrent versions of the ISO (which none work), and Im stuck on what to do next.
I have tried to mount then burn, creat new ISO then burn, and I even tried to change the buring speed to x2.  I even tried 3 diffrent types of media too...
I been using the Disc Utility which came with my Mac which is ran by Lion 10.7.2
Any ideas on what to do?

This may be the answer. https://discussions.apple.com/message/10499544#10499544
However, if that doesn't work, why bother with bootcamp? Use a virtual drive via Parallels or Fusion, and run both simultaneously. Rebooting is a pain.

  • Windows on Imac12,1 issue - Cant boot from USB or CD/DVD

    Hello people.
I have this problem with my iMac, that i cant boot it from a USB drive or a CD.
Every time i try it says "No bootable device". Obviously i want to install Windows 7 to play a few games once in a while, and I've tried about everything i could imagine.
When i bought the iMac, some moron had installed windows and somehow deleted OSX. The problem was the same back then when i tried to boot from the Snow Leopard CD/DVD, all it said was "No bootable drive". I installed OSX by FireWire (Target mode) and formatted the hard drive.
I've tried to burn windows on a DVD as well as making a bootable usb drive, both with boot camp assistant, bot failed. "No bootable device".
I have seen some workarounds been done with Virtual machines and such, but it didn't work for me.
I already have downloaded parallels 7 and VMware Fusion (Latest, 5 i think. trial though). If any of you should know of a guide thats up to date, please do direct me to them - I've tried the ones i could find :-)
I would really appreciate you guys taking your time to answer, as i have been struggling with this issue for weeks and weeks with no luck.
    Specs:
    Imac 21.5-inch, Mid 2011
    Model: iMac12,1
    2.7 Ghz intel i5
    8GB RAM
    OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)
    Yours sincerely
    Emil

Did you ever get this to work?  I even made the Diag USB with the tablet 10 special code - and when I select the USB device for boot, screen goes black for a few seconds - then back to the menu.
I can't boot a default win 8.1 Pro CD either (with a lenovo USB drive).
I tried win10 and it pooched my system - does not boot at all, so I need to boot of an external device.

I really want to dual boot and have downloaded all of the drivers for windows 7 but for the life of me I can not get past the initial boot screen of my windows 7 disc
    Can anyone help please

    hi botards01,
If you're planning to use linux occasionally (Ubuntu for example) and you don't want to risk losing the One Key Recovery functionality, try to install Ubuntu via Wubi as this doesn't repartition your HDD but creates a virtual disk on your current OS.
Check it out - Install Ubuntu in Windows With Wubi
    Hope this helps

i cant install windows 7 ultimate on my imac every time i gets to the part wherr you shall pick the boot camp it says that i should put a cd with a driver in it put the windows cd wont get out.

    Hi Andreas,
Please specify your hardware and software. Running OSX? Which version? Old hardware/new hardware?
It is not sure what your problem is: is it that the CD will not eject? Or is it that the winbdows cd is not installing?

  • Can't boot windows 7 installed by bootcamp

On my iMac I installed windows 7 x64 professional by bootcamp. I did the instalation with 4GB RAM. Windows boots perfectly!
After that i change my RAM for 16 GB (4x4GB same plates). OS X booting is still perfect, but windows cant boot and it shows me only mistakes, and it offers me to make recovery. by the way with 16GB RAM recovery fails too.
    P.S. i have bootcamp 5.0

I find the solve. i have the same type of RAM-plates but 2 of them was produced earlier than the second one.
to resolve my problem you need to install you RAM-plates correctly.
i have two plates A-type(earlier) and two plates B-type(later)
iMac as everyone known has 4 slots for RAM
           Left                       Right
    |        1L(1)         |      |       1R(3)       |
    |        2L (2)        |      |       2R(4)       |
When i placed wy RAM this way
           Left                       Right
    |        1L(A)         |      |       1R(A)       |
    |        2L (B)        |      |       2R(B)       |
my windows didnt want to start, and send me a request for recovery
But today when i placed my RAM this way
           Left                       Right
    |        1L(A)         |      |       1R(B)       |
    |        2L (A)        |      |       2R(B)       |
    problems gone.
maybe its a problem of only newbies in Mac-using? So am I.

  • (OS X Lion) cant install windows on HD with multiple partitions

I have installed os x 10.7 lion the day it rolled out from the app store and everything was good. But now, I decided to re-install windows 7 on my macbook on lion.  I currently have 2 partitions: 1 for media files and the main partition for the os files.  But I cant use boot camp because it keeps on notifying me that i can only have one partition so I could install windows through boot camp. Is that the thing with lion, when I was able to do the same with snow leopard?
Now, I figured that I could not really do anything about and decided to install windows on a single partition and everything went well, though I am still sick that I had to copy everything on one parition.
My next question is: how come that after everytime I get to install windows, the partition does not recognize it anymore after I try to divide the mac partition on disk utility? Here's the scenario, I am able to install windows properly, so I boot to the lion parition and divide it into 2 through disk utility (making the total number of partitions to 3), so I could have one partition I could access both on windows and lion, but after that, when I try to boot windows, the system does not recognize the boot camped anymore.  Do I have to stick with just 2 partitions(1 for lion and 1 for windows)? Or there is something wrong with my windows installation?
I am certain that I do not erase the windows partition as I can still the files on that partition through the finder.
I am in need of serious help here. Please.

    Greetings,
Use Fusion, or Parallels. They are better for running Winblows, and you don't have to reboot in to it, you simply run Win 7 as an app. I have tried Boot Camp, a few times since it first came available, and it has always been cumbersome, and problematic, to use, and allows typical Winblows issues to happen. Running Win 7 virtual seems to not have those same issues.
Until I retire, soon, I still have to use Windows, along with Macs, Linux, and UNIX, but after that, it all goes, except for the Macs - no more headaches.
Give Fusion, or Parallels a try, they are cheap, and work really well.
    Cheers,
    M.

I do not know about Disk Warrior but if you have a compatible OSX on an external HDD you certainly can boot the MBP.  Use startup manager:
