EoIP Tunnel across two locations
Hi,
Appreciate if some one advise on how to configure EoIP tunnel. One wireless LAN controller is in a DMZ acting as an anchor controller...and this needs to get traffic from foreign Wireless LAN Controllers from other remote locations over an EoIP Tunnel . Should any configurations needs to be done on Routers/Switches? Or would it be sufficient just configuring the mobility groups and anchors in WLCs. Please advise.
Thanks
Dany
Hi Dany,
Here is the link which provides you the depth info on the WLC configuration for Mobility
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Mobility/emob41dg/ch2_Arch.html#wp1028143
And here is the link whcih expalins about the configuration example as well for Anchor and foreign setup.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Mobility/emob41dg/ch10GuAc.html
However make sure we do have all the neeeded VLANs on the network and route to the remote site or basic connectivity..
lemme know if this answered your question..

Can WLC create EoIP tunnels to more than one Anchor Controllers
Hello,
Is it possible to create EoIP tunnels to two different Anchor Controllers on two different DMZs from a single WLC. So we can tunnel the traffics of two SSIDs to different DMZ environments.
Anchor Controllers can create 71 connections to Foreign Controllers, but can Foreign Controllers create EoIP tunnels to more than 1 Anchors.
Regards,
SinanJust to note, an anchor WLC can be a WLC in the DMZ or even another foreign WLC which you want to anchor an SSID to. You only limited in very large environments when you might hit that max limit.

Using one Itunes database across two macs
Using one itunes database across two macs
I currently run a 2010 MBP (500gb hd) at home and on the road and a 2013 Imac (1Tb hd) at work. I have a large lossless itunes library of about 300gb and would like to increase the library further.
My MBP started running slowly and I realised that my iTunes library was choking the whole computer. I started to explore ways to store my library on a remote disk and bought a G drive 1Tb portable drive.
My efforts to carry out the transfer were only partially successful with most of my library transferring but a significant number of tracks displaying the ! sign which means they couldn't be located.
I have also got an Imac at work and what I had hoped to achieve was to have my iTunes database on the 1tb portable drive and use the portable disk on both my MBP and iMac.
Our technical support company are dubious about whether this will work because the local specific itunes library data on each machine will differ and each machine will not operate correctly with the underlying data on the portable drive.
I am not very technical and I am finding it difficult to follow the various posts on this board and elsewhere. Many seem to comment on splitting their library across multiple disks but I cant really seem to get to the bottom of storing my library on one disk and using it across multiple computers.
Is what I am trying to achieve practical?
If it is, can someone point me to an article/post please? Or alternatively could someone explain how I might achieve my goal.
Thanks in a advance for your help. Here you go.

Not able to form EoIP tunnel with anchor WLC
Hi all,
I have a WLC at a remote site that is supposed to form an EoIP tunnel with 2 anchor WLCs located at a data center. From the site WLC and the anchor WLCs, the mobility show UP on both ends. Also I can ping to the mobility peers from each end. However, when I look into the client details on the remote site WLC, there is no Mobility Anchor IP address, which tells me that the EoIP tunnel between the site and anchor controller is not forming for some reason. Any idea what I could be missing?

Split of metadata across two copies of the photographs
My metadata for the catalouge has become split across two copies of the photographs on different hard drives. Is there a way of recombing the two so that lightroom only uses the photographs at one location? It is difficult to work out which copy of the photo on which disk has the metadata asigned to it. Thanks for any help.
You can copy the metadata from one photo to another, select one, the ctrl-click on the other, and use Sync Metadata button.
It is difficult to work out which copy of the photo on which disk has the metadata asigned to it.
I don't understand, LR shows the metadata on the right in the Metadata Panel.

Normally, I would advise not to have two copies of the same photo imported into Lightroom -
App duplication in iTunes library shared across two accounts on same iMac
I'm sharing media across two user accounts on a family iMac running Yosemite. The shared content is distributed across folders (Audiobooks, Music, Mobile Applications, etc.) inside Users/Shared/iTunes Music. Both accounts have read and write permissions, and family and home sharing are both turned on and linked to one primary Apple ID. In both accounts iTunes preferences point to the same shared folder. The problem: Updates to mobile applications in one account do not carry over to the other. After updating mobile apps for account A, when I switch to account B, I get the same list of apps awaiting updates. If I update for each account, I find duplicates for each updated app in the shared Mobile Applications folder.
I can avoid the duplication by control-clicking, in the Updates window of iTunes in account B, an app that has already been updated in account A. That will open a dialogue window saying the original file can't be found and asking if I'd like to locate it. When I do, the update disappears from the list in the Updates window. However this is a cumbersome process that I'd think iTunes would perform automatically if it were functioning properly. Has anyone encountered this issue and found a better solution? For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
What you mean by 'share'.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
(You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up. -
Deployoing two FE Servers in same Ent FE Pool across two datacenters
Couple of questions around Enterprise FE Pool, hope to get feedback.
1/Has any one had the experience of deploying two FE Servers in same Ent FE Pool across two datacenters? Any experience you can share?
2/What is the network requirements among FE Servers in the same FE Pool? Such as LAN subnet, network latency, jitter, ...
Thanks
Albert
AlbertAlbert,
#1 - officially no for Lync Server 2013 core setup. Site level redundancy is achieved with a multi-server Enterprise Pool setup + SQL Mirroring backend (optionally SQL Witness) whereas Disaster Recovery depends on Pool Pairing of liked
pools across disparate geographical locations.
Assuming that the 2 datacentres are part of the same campus connected with each other in a high speed LAN (low latency, delays, etc.), it is indeed possible to separate, say a 6 server Enterprise Edition pool, into 2 groups of 3 servers within
the same IPv4 subnet. Depending on whether SQL Mirroring is deployed or not (and how), the reachability and availability of each "server group" may not meet the minimum number of servers required to keep the pool functional (see "Topologies
and components for Front End Servers, instant messaging, and presence in Lync Server 2013"). Hence, it may still be better to consider having 2 separate paired Enterprise or Standard Edition pools located in the 2 datacentres.
Please share with us if this helps.

How many EoIP tunnels at the same time? (One Anchor -- HA Pair )
Hi Experts,
With AP SSO, there should be two CAPWAP tunnels between an AP and the HA controller pair at the same time. Is it correct?
Then how many EoIP tunnels between the internet anchor controller and the foreign controller HA pair at the same time?
Thanks
CedarHi Cedar,
in AP SSO, only single CAPWAP tunnel maintan at a time & see the below reference for details.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10315/products_tech_note09186a0080bd3504.shtml
There is only one CAPWAP tunnel maintained at a time between the APs and the WLC that is in an Active state. The overall goal for the addition of AP SSO support to the Cisco Unified Wireless LAN was to reduce major downtime in wireless networks due to failure conditions that may occur due to box failover or network failover. This allows the access point (AP) to establish a CAPWAP tunnel with the Active WLC and share a mirror copy of the AP database with the Standby WLC. The APs do not go into the Discovery state when the Active WLC fails and the Standby WLC takes over the network as the Active WLC.
in the same sense, EoIP tunnel limitation will be 71 for a anchor controller. See below

How does Creative Cloud from teams work with staff who work in two locations i.e. in the office and home?
There is no difference please be aware that each login is provided with two activations however. If you wish to have a computer at both work and home activated though that is perfectly fine as long as your employer is ok with using company software at home.

Hello there - I am sharing an iPhoto library across two accounts on the same computer - it works fine EXCEPT for Quicktime movies - they play on one account and claim I don't have the rights on the other - all permissions are on and ok?
It should be in the Users/ Shared folder.
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Note the option to check and repair Library Permissions

Technical question:
Is it possible to work on the same Lightroom catalog across two computers and have the catalog sync? If so, how??
Here's a little more information on what I am trying to do.
I have a desktop computer with 4tb worth of pictures that has Lightroom and Photoshop on it. I also have a laptop with Photoshop and Lightroom. I would like to be able to edit those same pictures with their current edits that are currently on my desktop on my laptop. If this can be done, I'm sure I need to be on the same wifi network for my laptop to be able to access my desktop's photo library. I am technically savvy enough to map a network drive, but how do I get my two Lightroom catalogs to sync when I make a change on one of my computers? Would i be working only on one catalog? Or two separate catalogs that would need to be manually synced to the other computer? Would it be beneficial to put my lightroom catalog on something like dropbox?
I'd appreciate any information or tutorials if someone knows how to do this.I do this by having my LR catalog and photos on an external drive that I swap between the two computers. I am on Windows and have the same drive letter assigned to the drive on both computers.
Because the photos are on a portable drive I back up the portable drive to another hard-drive every night or after important work, because portable drives are susceptible to damage or loss. -
Use one IPS port to create tunnel to two remote MDS switches?
is it possible to use one gigabit port on MDS IPS 14+2 linecard to create FCIP tunnels between two other remote MDS switches?
each tunnel will allow a different VSAN. this is kindda crude but gotta do it, if it can be doneyes it can be done, make 1 FCIP profile defining the Ip address of the GE interface. Then create 2 different FCIP interfaces ( tunnels ) each one will use the same profile, but have different peers.

I have my personal music (not purchased from Itunes) stored in two locations, on my PC and on an external HD. How can I find out which directory itunes uses to access this music? I am using Itunes version 11.4.0.18. Thanks
Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. Many thanks again though for helping me.

The USB ports on my 30" Cinema HD display appear to not work. The monitor has not been used for almost a year, when I upgraded to a new Mac Book Pro and the 27" retina display. Now I need to move the computer back and forth between two locations using the two displays. The need for operating USB ports is essential. Any ideas. The display appears entirely normal. Am running OS X 10.9.
Disregard, problem solved.

How do I combine my Contacts across two email accounts into one?
Somehow my contacts got split randomly across two email accounts. One is IMAP and the other pop3. I am trying to consolidate all my contacts again under the pop3 email account. iCloud support could not understand how the mixing occurred, but I need to fix it now. Can anyone help?
Btw, I do use iCloud across my iPhone 5, iPad mini and MacBook Pro!
Thanks
RobertContacts are not saved by type of account so your description is confusing. No matter if you have iCloud, Google, "On My Mac", Exchange, Yahoo and AOL contacts, Mail uses them equally.
Please post a screen shot showing this separation.

Command-Shift-4 takes a portion of the screen. <--use this one
