EOL reports in PI 2.2

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to find the EOL reports PI is suppose to be able to generate for Cisco kit it monitors ?
regards
Rich

Hello Rich, hello Marvin,
"These reports are expected to be available in the next version of Prime Infrastructure." What does that mean? PI 2.3 or will that be fixed with a software patch in PI 2.2 ? Is there a known point in time for this feature to be available?
I'm a little bit disapointed... with Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
Some (for me) important features are (still) missing:
customizable reports (like availible in Cisco LMS4.x)
searching for configuration strings within the configuration archives (like availible in Cisco LMS4.x)
device configuration export (like availible in Cisco LMS4.x)
the syslog feature is reduced to a minimum (not a real syslog server feature)
Administration > Settings > Background Tasks > Other Background Tasks > Controller Configuration Backup: why isn't it possible to configure the directory path? like it is possible with sftp
of course EOL/S service reports (like it was availible in Cisco PI2.1)
...please fix and improve the existing featrues in a new PI before adding/implementing new options like Google Earth/Topology Maps...

  • LMS 4.2 EoL Report Location issue

After upgrading to 4.2 months ago, I've noticed that the EoL report has been moved to the new interface.   Though it's a welcome change, there's an option that's since disappeared which I used on a weekly basis.   There was an option for saving the report to a specific location, where it would keep a "latest.htm" file that our CMDB team could pull for their own records for administration to view when they need.     As of right now, there's no option for this, and it only lists what type of e-mail attachment to use.
One would think that the reports would be saved in the default report repository that's specified in the admin panel, but it's not saving those reports to that area.  I'm not certain where -if at all- it may be saving them.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,

I started a RME Inventory EoS/EoL Hardware Report on devices and got the appended error log. Cisco.com and proxy authentications seem to work well.
Any idea how to solve this problem?

this could be due to bug CSCte71764. A patch is available on CCO:

  • RME 4.1.1 - PSIRT and EoS/EoL reports authorization failure

    Hello group,
I have RME 4.1.1 installed and I am attempting to generate either a PSIRT or an End Of Sale/End Of Life report. I start the report from RME->Reports->Report Generator and input all the appropriate information (CCO user/pass, email, etc) and then click "Finish". I get the popup that says to get Report Jobs for the status of the report, and as fast as I can navigate to Report Jobs I see that the job failed.
So I check invreports.log and this line stands out in particular:
    [ Fri Oct 01  13:45:38 CDT 2010 ],ERROR,[main],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.inventory.reports.job.JobExecutor,runReport,773,Authorization failure for ajschroedercom.cisco.nm.rmeng.util.NotAuthorizedUserException: ajschroeder
I do have my Ciscoworks server integrated with ACS, so I reregistered my apps with ACS, and restarted ACS and Daemon Manager with no luck, I even applied the patch described in the following doc: https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9080
I am confident that I am missing something, but I have no idea what. I have attached my invreports.log
As always, any help would greatly be appreciated,
    AJ Schroeder

This is CSCsm77700 which is fixed in RME 4.2.  I highly recommend you download the upgrade to LMS 3.2 from http://www.cisco.com/go/nmsevals .  However, a patch is available for RME 4.1.1 if you contact TAC.

  • EOS sales reports in LMS4.0

    HI it's me again:-)
I'm trying to generate EoS/EoL reports and reports are empty. so thinking that the download was faulty I have manually downloaded the two ZIP files and copied them in the dedicated directory. rreports were still empty. so I have run the job (Admin> Network> PSIRT/EOS and EOL Settings> PSIRT/EOX system job schedule) and this one was successful But by going to the attached log file I think it's not so successful..
    If you have any ideas?
PS: sorry for all questions in this forum but the goal is also to share this for everybody and anyway I'm so happy with the new version that I'm trying any reports / functionnalities...

A Nexus5000 package was just posted on 2/8/2011.  I'm not seeing it in the Software Center in LMS 4.0, but you can download it from http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=279256862&flowid=21521&softwareid=282812296&release=Nexus5000(1.0)&rellifecycle=&relind=AVAILABLE&reltype=all .

  • LMS Report Question for RME.

Can someone tell me when the patch for the EoS/EoL report is going to be released?
    Thanks

  • Printing fails, gs crashes

In my workplace I have two printers a Ricoh Aficio and a HP Color LaserJet 5550 and they are running via a remote CUPS server. However I can browse their cups page via the remote cups web interface.
I downloaded the suggested drivers hplip and openprinting-ppds-pxlmono-ricoh, in cups as connection I use the webaddress http://cupsserver/printername and I select the correct driver.
However, each time I try to print I get filter failed on both printers.
In the /var log file are lines like:
    D [05/Mar/2015:17:07:21 +0100] [Job 9] Running command line for gs: gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -dSAFER -sDEVICE=ps2write -sOUTPUTFILE=%stdout -dLanguageLevel=3 -r600 -dCompressFonts=false -dNoT3CCITT -dNOINTERPOLATE -c 'save pop' -f /var/spool/cups/tmp/foomatic-uP3YzG
    D [05/Mar/2015:17:07:21 +0100] [Job 9] Started filter gs (PID 30674)
    D [05/Mar/2015:17:07:21 +0100] [Job 9] Started filter pstops (PID 30675)
D [05/Mar/2015:17:07:21 +0100] [Job 9] The print file is empty.
    D [05/Mar/2015:17:07:21 +0100] [Job 9] PID 30674 (gs) crashed on signal 11!
    D [05/Mar/2015:17:07:21 +0100] [Job 9] PID 30675 (pstops) stopped with status 1!
so it seems that ghostscript crashes with a segfault.
I used this printers with another arch machine, I do not actually remember the precise settings. But I guess a gs crash should not happen...
    What can I try?

    Hi,
the same here. I'm using Xerox machine so it's not printer dependent.

  • Canon MF5950dw throwing Stopped - 'filter' failed printer error

We just bought a Canon MF5950dw printer, and on a MBA running 10.8.2 when we try to print anything over the network, it'll stop with the error: Stopped - 'filter' failed.
    I've:
repairing permissions from the rescue disk
tried deleting and re-adding the printer
    uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers
    reset the CUPS printing system
and nothing has helped. The MBA has no problem printing to our old printers. It works fine on the my MBP running 10.8.2 and our Windows 7 machines. It persists whether I set it up as a Bonjour printer or an IP printer.
Anyone know how to fix this? thanks!

  • Why xml hearders changing frequently on running export model definitions

    Hi
We are using source change control SVN for model changes and group of people working on model and making changes in parallel.
some changes are from backend.. editing xmls and some from ui.
i have observed without having actual definition changes in xmls... like cube_<name>.xml, if someone run export model definitions, it starts reflecting some changes in file.
those are mostly xml tags or grammar changes and not actual user change.
for any instance some ns** will get change or
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns3:ReportWorkbook viewScenario="Any" private="false" final="false" subType="Report" name="xyz EOL Report" dependencyOrdering="0" systemVersion="4.0.5" xmlns="http://schemas.interlacesystems.com/workbook/Worksheet.xsd"
reference to xsd changes from earlier copy of file to next exported file.
please let me know if i am clear with the problem or need to give more elaborative details

Can you please elaborate some more on the issue observed.

  • Aironet 1231

The information is not clear to me. We have a couple of Cisco Wireless access point that we just bought. After running an EoS/EoL report using CiscoWorks, they show up on the list like "Cisco Aironet 1210 Access Point" as a device that has announce End of Sales. Why?? I thought we bought 1231's.
If I login to the device and execute show version, I get this information:
    Product/Model Number: AIR-AP1231G-A-K9
but if I execute "show inventory", I get the following information:
NAME: "AP1210", DESCR: "Cisco Aironet 1200 Series Access Point"
    PID: , VID: , SN: FTX0821J156.
So, do I have a 1231 Series? or do I have a 1210??? or what do I have???

    Hi,
I completely agree with what Rob stated.
    Here's my version -
Basically 1200 AP was designed in a modular fasion, just like routers. You get the router chassis and then install modules like WIC, VWIC etc.
1200 APs were designed in a similar fasion - 1210 chassis and the radio modules - 802.11b, 802.11g or 802.11a.
So 1231G access point is provided to you as a bunde of the 1210 chassis and 802.11g module.
This is the reason why they share the same OID.
AIR-AP1210 - part number for the chassis.
AIR-MP21G-x-K9 - part number for G radio Module.
AIR-RM21A-x-K9/AIR-RM22A-x-K9 - part number for A radio module.
AIR-AP1231G-x-K9 - bundled part number for chassis and module.
    Hope this clarifies.
