EOS Lens Registration Tool

What is the EOS Lens Registration Tool?
I suspect it was part of a recent upgrade to my Canon software.  When activated, it will not launch and said my XSi camera is not recognized.  The EOS Utility does recognize the camera.
Is it for a full frame or a newer model or version of Canon camera?
Thanks.  Lots of good information here.
Canon EOS Rebel XSi

EF 24-105 f4L IS
EF 85 f1.8 USM
EF 50 f2.5 Macro
Sigma 400 f5.6
Solved!
Go to Solution.

It is for newer model cameras. It allows the lens correction data to be uploaded to the camera.

I'm running Acrobat 9 Pro for Windows and am trying to georegister a PDF, however when I bring up the Analysis toolbar there are only three tools:
    Object Data
    Measuring Tool
    Geospatial Location Tool
The fourth tool (the Geospatial Registration Tool) is missing!  I've tried resetting the toolbar and it's not in the Tools > Analysis menu either.
    Thanks.

This tool is available in Acrobat 9 Pro Extended.

    Hi John,
I'm in the same boat, unable to use play as a plugin in mac os x 10.6.5
I had a HD Crash and had to reinstall everything.
The Mac Service people updated the OSX and and now all the EastWest Complete Composer Collection does not open , saying the same thing:
    Play could not load /Volumes/Macintosh HD/Play Libraries/EWQL Orchestra Library/Gold Instruments/Gold Strings/18 Violins/5 Keysw/../../../../Gold Samples/Gold Strings/18 Violins/18 V F/V18svF F/V18svF55 F.ews.
Something is going on with EastWest.
I'm now going back to Mac Osx 10.6 as it worked fine on this version
    I'll keep you posted

  • How to run SSO registration tool in Oracle SOA Suite 10g

    Hi,
I want to enable SSO for applications running in SOA Suite.
All the documentation discuss about enabling OSSO in Oracle Infrastructure or Oracle Identity Server but not for SOA Suite.
The biggest issue is SOA Suite doesnot has ORASSO application in it, so please guide me how to implement O-SSO in SOA Suite.

When you refer to the SOA suite, are you talking about the HTTP Server and OC4J or the BPEL products?
For HTTP server and OC4J, implementation is done like that of a AS10g middle tier. You need to run the SSO registration tool and configure the containers to use SSO. To do this you need to have a IDM 10.1.4 installed somewhere else.

    Hi all,
On Dynamics CRM 2015 Online, I have installed a Plugin Profiler using the Plugin Registration Tool provided in the SDK for CRM 2015.
When I start debugging using the profiler and Visual Studio 2013 the plugin profiler stops working with the error when reaching at the point of code with error. And actual exception is not showing. Any ideas how to resolve this?

  • Lens correction tool

Hi, do all versions of Elements have a lens correction tool like the one in lightroom 3?

    Sorry, posted in wrong forum.

  • Lens correction tool in Camera Raw 6.0???

I bought Photoshop CS5 last night and got everything loaded up.  The first thing I wanted to play with was the lens correction tool that is supposed to be in Camera Raw 6.0.  For the life of me, I can not find the barrel distortion corrections and auto CA corrections.  I find them in Photoshop, albeit a very limited selection of lenses (Canon's extremely popular EF 16-35L is not even an option) but not Camera Raw.  It does not appear to be an option under the lens correction tab.  What am I missing?

  • Auto scale/crop with lens correction tool in Camera Raw 8.4

Does anyone know if this type of functionality exists in Camera Raw 8.4 similar to the Auto scale function in the lens correction filter? I understand the straighten tool offers this effect but I'm looking for in auto crop or autoscale feature when using the lens correction tool. Thanks in advance!

    Good day!
I notice no difference to prior to 8.4.
But maybe the ACR Forum may be a better place for questions realted to ACR.

  • Lens correction tools

hello, my lens correction tools are suddenly missing from the develop page ... any advice?

Right-click on one of the other section headings such as "Basic" or "Tone Curve", etc. Make sure there is a checkmark in every section that you want displayed. Somehow the lens corrections section has been unchecked. It happens occasionally for some reason.

  • Issue with Plugin Registration Tool in CRM 2013

    Hi,
I've spent quite a while trying to connect up the Plugin Registration Tool for CRM 2013. I thought I'd had a breakthrough and got it connected but it's given me another problem. Let me try and explain where I'm at:
Software is installed and I can open it up and enter in some details about the discovery service.
With the credentials entered, I click on 'Login' and I get a pop up with 'Multiple CRM organizations are available to you. Please choose the one...' as the title and also a list of the environments to connect to - the list is as I would expect it to
    look.
I select the environment and then click on 'Login' again.
I get the same pop up box again, titled 'Multiple CRM organizations are available to you. Please choose the one...' but this time, there's no environments in there. Just before this new pop up appears, there's a message on screen for a very brief moment:
"Initializing UII core connections to Microsoft Dynamics CRM...".
At this point, there's not a lot I can do. Has anyone got any clues as to why this is happening and how I can get passed it?

    Hi Andrii,
Thanks for your reply. I tried double clicking but it didn't seem to do anything at all - the screen just stayed put. I noticed that after clicking 'Login' when I'd selected the environment, there was a message on the screen for a very brief moment before
I got the blank environment box - I tried to screengrab it a few times until I got it. It says "Initializing UII core connections to Microsoft Dynamics CRM..." - I don't know if this is relevany or not?

  • Lr4 - Lens Corrections tool.

Hi, I recently purchased LR4 -4.2 (as a download) and installed in onto my PC, running Windows 7, 64bit. I cannot get the "Lens Corrections" tool, to work correctly. When editing images, the lens correction tool, only displays a small sample (like 4 or 6 lenses approx.), of lenses to choose from, however (only once) it displayed a complete lists of lenses to suit my Nikon d800, including the lens profile I required at the time, being the Zeiss 50mm f1.4, so I am aware that Lr4 is capable of facilitating my lens profile requirements. This is frustrating, can you please help me rectify this irritating problem. In the mean time, I have resorted to using the ePaperPress product, PT Lens-which has helped me immensely.
    Thank you.

    Ask in the LR forum.

  • What about missing lenses in lens correction tool ?

    When/where other profiles ?
I need a profile for the Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4D, one of the best lens ever ! can't miss in LR.
I know there is a tool to make profiles but it looks to complicated to me so I was wondering if someone did that profile already...
    Thanks

    oh!
    thanks for your feedback!
then I may have been hard on adobe but wrong!? sorry if this is the case... though I still have a problem...
i double checked and can't find the profile you say exists.
i use LR3 in French (downloaded 2 weeks ago, I had the beta 2 installed before, it's installed on a pc with vista 32 bits). My translation may be imperfect: here is what happens when i edit a photo made with canon EOS 5D MarkII & EF 24-70mm F2.8 L USM:
    - i activate the profile correction.
the configuration is "default" (but the result is the same with "auto")
    - the system automatically used to propose me (before I made any changes)
         brand: canon,
         model: canon EF 135mm F2 L USM,
profile: adobe (canon EF 135mm F2 L USM)
    - I have searched for my configuration and found
         brand: canon,
         model: canon EF 24-70mm F2.8 L USM,
but then, the only profile available is: canon EOS 1Ds MarkIII - EF 24-70mm F2.8 L USM.
    non 5D Mk2 available.
    - now the above configuration seems to have become the default, even though i have never saved a new default
I have searched extensively on the adobe website and have not found neither a list of profiles available, not the possibility to download and install more!
    (i think this should be)
so does anyone know where my problem is ? and how i can solve it as apparently the profile should be available?
    thanks in advance!

  • Lens Profile Tool Addition – White Balance Offset Correction

I have noticed that my Canon 17-40mm and 70-200mm F4 IS lenses have virtually identical color temperature and can use the same white balance setting. My Sigma 50mm F2.8 Macro lens is another story, requiring almost 200K and +15 change to White Balance sliders. I am sure there are cases where Canon’s lenses will differ more widely and exhibit a similar degree of white balance differences, not to mention use of UV or 1B protection filters. An 85mm F1.2 lens using “rare earth” low dispersion glass, will have a warmer color temperature than a lens using more common glass elements.
I use the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport to create custom profiles for each of my camera bodies. I typically make separate correction presets for Daylight, Cloudy, and Tungsten (2700K). This requires changing the LR White Balance sliders to obtain “neutral gray in the ColorChecker image files shot in each of above described lighting conditions. It does not appear necessary to create a separate ColorChecker camera profile for each lens, just correction to the LR white balance slider settings.
I did some measurements of change in camera profile for Sunny Daylight (~5,500K), Cloudy (8,000K+), and Tungsten (~2,900K) lighting. There was no measurable change in rendering of the ColorChecker Passport images for the extreme Sunny to Cloudy conditions, and only very slight changewhen comparing the Tungsten profile. This was done by loading a ColorChecker Passport image file and applying alternate profiles:
    EXAMPLE:
Open a DaylightColorChecker Passport image file in LR, apply Cloudy Camera Profile, and adjust White Balance for the gray scale patches using the Eyedropper Tool. Then look at the 'Before' and 'After' images....you will see NO visual change to any of the color patches. I saw only a very slight change when doing this with the Daylight to Tungsten (artificial light source) comparison.
The relatively small change in color balance between lenses (~500K max.) should have no measurable or visible affect to the ColorChecker Passport created "Camera Profile." The ColorChecker Passport or any other "Camera Profile" creation tool is first and foremost correcting for differences in the camera's image sensor color rendering.
    SUGGESTION:
Since this white balance difference is a factor of the lens, it would be very convenient to add another tool in Lightroom's and Camera Raw Lens Profile panel for “White Balance Offset.” This allows setup of LR defaults for one specific lens type, such as your most used lens. Then you use the new ‘Lens Profile’ located ‘White Balance Offset’ correction tool to adjust white balance for all of your other lenses. In addition, Adobe or camera manufacturers could also provide the 'White Balance Offset Correction' as a function of the lens spectral response deviation from linear. This would provide a "uniform method" of calculating and adding the White Balance correction to the 'Lens Profile.' Since this is a factor of the lens only, the “lens offset correction” can be used with ANY lens/camera body pairing, The current LR and Camera Raw White Balance settings are then only used for “Global” correction of lighting conditions, and NOT for lens differences.
This is a linear mathematical function, which should be extremely easy for Adobe to add the ‘White Balance Offset’ correction feature to LR’s and Camera Raw's Lens Profile GUI. Just like many other tools in LR that some don't use, you can choose to use it or not!

    Interesting suggestion. Thanks. -Simon

  • Login & Registration tool / template advice please

    Hi everyone,
I have recently created a membership feature on my site using ADDT.  The Login wizard in ADDT is a piece of cake to use, and I'm very impressed with how user friendly it is - however, the end result does look a little amateur so I'm interested in exploring other options.
I'll just throw this question out there:
"Other than ADDT, what is the easiest way to create a membership function for my page, which includes registration, activation email, login, forgot password and logout?"
I do not need a forum or private messaging or anything fancy like that, just a good quality account creator.  I'm using PHP/Mysql.
Any advice / recomendations would be warmly received.

Dreamweaver's built-in server behaviors handle most of that out of the box, enabling you to design your own forms. With a little bit of hand coding, you can add your own error messages. The only part that Dreamweaver doesn't handle are the activation email and forgotten password. However, you should be able to code that yourself with a reasonable knowledge of PHP/MySQL. It doesn't require the skills of a rocket scientist.
