Does anyone know how I would achieve this exact effect in Photoshop in the image above (without the circular logo)? The 2 light blue type of effects, one at the top of the image, the one at the bottom of the image. I don't know how to achieve this effect, please show me if you know how. I'm using Photoshop CS5.
I have looked through hundreds of tutorials, none provide me any clue as to how this is achieved.
Or does anyone know a tutorial on how this effect is achieved?

Check out the Option bar that one gets under the Menu bar. If it is not showing, go to windows>Options.

If you select the brush tool, you will notice a flow value, that you can lower; and a Mode drop down list.

Set the mode to Linear Dodge, then for the next stroke set it to lighten.

The title says it all! After installing the new Mavericks update, I cannot put my MacBook Pro to sleep after a single press of the Power Button like before. Does it have something to do with this update or my MacBook Pro? Or do I have to change something in Settings?

After updating 10.5 itunes didn't work anymore. We uninstalled itunes and installed it again, nohing helped. Does anyone has any idea?

My iMac is not sleeping properly(any help is welcome Thank you)
Ok heres the thing I had my mac on computer sleep for an hour and my display sleep for 30 minutes originally. I noticed that when I was asleep it turn on in hte middle of the night. So i started messing with the timers and putting it on 10 minutes and it would not sleep and if it did it would wake up like 10 minutes all of a sudde. I put my browser on a site does not have videos or anything that will wake it up. I've tried an SMC reset and everything. I've tried pmset -g to see whats keeping it awake and nothing. Right now i have my computer sleep and display sleep on 5 minutes but thats really too short. I dont have any applications running I think. My computer went to sleep on the 5 minutes but when i increase the setting it wont sleep. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. Im not meesing with it anymore till I get any suggestions. My Mac OS X 10.6.8

Do you have a video card with at least 512 MB of vRAM?
I only have 256 MB vRAM on my older iMac and still have 3D capability in PS CS5, but not in PS CC. The newer versions of PS require 512 MB in order to enable 3D. -

My phone ran out of battery last week. The battery got totally empty, I suppose, while I was making a phone call. I plugged it in immediately just to find the on/off button defunct. Whenever I press the power button, the charging light (the one on the usb out, that lights while being charged) blinks a few times, then goes off. The phone never starts. I think the device has gone brick or it's a firmware-related issue even if recoverable. What could the problem be? Isn't there any solution available except taking it to a service point? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
Did you leave it for charging for about 2 hours and see NO difference ?
Next..Remove the battery for a couple of minutes, Insert and then try switching ON..If no change then Try a Hard Reset...(Press Answer + Reject + Camera keys together..and while kept pressed Start the phone.. Leave the buttons only when you see the Nokia Logo on the screen..)
If nothing works, ONLY Nokia Care may provide the solution.. -

I'm sorry, had you already pointed out the rules which stated that lines from 2 separate accounts were eligible??? I don't see anywhere in the advertisement specifically stating that lines from 2 separate accounts would be eligible, so THAT is not what's advertised, either.
As far as I know Verizon's BOGO offers have ALWAYS been for lines on the same account. Possibly someone could chime in where they have received this offer on 2 separate accounts? The ONLY exception to this was someone getting the offer with 2 eligible lines on their account, reactivating the old phone on one of the lines and then giving one of the new phones to someone on another account.

In Finder you will find the voiceover in the project's package contents folder. If on your internal drive, the project will be in your User (Home) folder Movies/iMovie projects. If on an external drive it will be in the iMovie Projects folder at the top (root) level of the drive.
Right-click (or Control-click) on the project name and select Show Package Contents from the pop-up menu. There should be a file named something like Voiceover Recording.caf in the package contents folder. Copy and paste this .caf file to the Desktop. See if it will open in QuickTime, GarageBand or another program capable of editing audio, such as MPEG Streamclip or Audacity (both free). If it will open, save (export) it in a different format, such as AIFF, preferably to a location where it will not be moved, such as iTunes.
Now drag that file into iMovie to the desired position (if in iTunes drag from iMovie's music browser panel). Hopefully it will now play correctly.

Why has my ipad mini stopped connecting with my iPhone 4S? I used to use it to download books, or transfer emails to my ipad mini. It was fine 3 days ago, now I get a message saying " cannot join with iPhone" Any help greatly appreciated.
You can try resetting your iPad and iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. -
I am having trouble downloading a whole playlist to my phone. Parts of the playlist will sync but there are still a lot of songs that won't. I have plenty of space to hold this playlist as far as I can see. Any help is appreciated.
I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/ -
Did a clean install 10.9.4. on a Apple Stock 1TB Fusion Hard Drive. When I run "diskutil list" via Terminal, everything is wrong. I have "EFI" and "apple Boot Boot OSX" in every dev/disk** Everything is out of place, How can I repair? Im willing too reformat if need be, however thats what I did in the first place.
