EP 6.0 SP13 is not starting! Urgent!!

Hello,
I made new installation of EP 6.0 SP9 on SAPDB. After the installation I applied SP13 and the everything was working fine.
But after a restart of the complete server the portal is not starting. In the management consol the server node is in status "Starting application".
Everything looks normal and I made no changes before the server restart.
I the defaulttrace.0.trc file the is the following message:

But the port 3201 is okay.
Does anybody has an idee???
Best regards

I think I have solved this now. Some problems still persist due to cleanup, but portal is running and everything seem to be in place.
Take a look at Central Note 832967. It describes additional tasks / notes to apply when applying SP13.
But note 870234 and 871632 are not included on the list.
Note 870234 did the trick.
Since I had restarted the portal several times to try to fix this, all my applications were down. I used Visual Administrator to restart the applications manually, then the J2EE server becomes available again, sort of. It is then possible to restart SP13 for portal. Some errors will be issued during installation, but after restart after completion of SP13 my installation is up and running again. All relevant components at 613. Check with
http://<yourserver>:<yourport>/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo
Please keep in mind that for my installation the restart and deployment took 2,5hrs (2GB RAM, Dual 3GCPU)! Be patient.
After Portal SP13 i did KMC SP13 and it worked quite nicely. Some minor issues there also.
Hope this helps someone else.

  • HELP urgently needed: My Sandberg FireWire for Laptop will not start on my T60

Let me start with information on my T60:
    OS information: Microsoft Windows XP
OS version: 5.10.2600   Service Pack 2
    Processor: x86 Family 6 Model 14 Stepping 8
    Memory: 3.135.856 kb
    BIOS version: 2.09  (79ETC9WW)
    Machine type-Model: 1951A47
I have just got a new Sandberg FireWire for Laptop, a PC Card with 3 6-pins connectiont. After inserting the card in the PC Card slot, the Windows Device Manager tells me that there are problems with the card. Looking at the 1394 Card Properties the status says:
"This device cannot start. (Code 10) - Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."
The troubleshooter did not solve my problem. I have tried disconnecting, re-connection, shut down Windows and start again etc.
At Sandberg Help Desk they tell me that I have two slots in my laptop, one with a 16 bits bus and another with a 32 bits slots, and I should use the latter. It seems that I can use the lower slide only in my laptop and I cannot push the card into the upper slide. There is not enough room for it.
Here is what I found on Lenovo's support site on my type & model:
     PC Card
Conforms to the PC Card Standard 95
    Type II slot
Both the 16-bit Release 2.1 card standard and the 32-bit CardBus card are supported.
Have a look at these screen captures.
What should I do to solve my urgent problem!?

Sounds to me like a driver configuration problem.  Maybe something bad happened during driver install.  I would recommend uninstalling the device from device manager by right clicking on it and hitting uninstall.  Reboot the computer.  Have a go at it again.  Also, test your pcmcia port functionality by finding and plugging in a different card.  See if that works.  It might need repair.

    The status right now is:
The PC Card reader works on my T60
If I use a Firewire PC Card it will not start - as described above (on T60)
The PC Card work properly on my T61P - and I succeeded importing a video file from a digital camera using the Fireswire PC Card.
So what does a wise man do in this situation??
Please help me as I urgently need to know how to solve this serious issue!!
Have you got an idea? Can I import the video in another way??

The debug output doesn't show an obvious problem. You're
going to have to actually debug your program. A debugger
    might be helpful.

Are you sure there is not another web analysis web application process running, have you checked the processes running on the machine, you may have to kill or stop one of them to release the lock.

    Hi Susan,
    2 possible solutions:
    1. as root user, "chmod -R 777 /tmp" and retry start CRSdon't set it to 777 as it would lead to a security nightmare.
the problem is indeed a permission problem. the script tries to write to the file as user oracle and to remove it afterwards. the error message is from the removal.
check, if oracle user can create files in /tmp and if not fix it by setting the proper permissions which are 1777 (drwxrwxrwt).

  • URGENT - SL410 will not start

When I try to start up it asks me to choose between normal startup and to repair (recommended).  I choose repair and it starts the repair.  After hours,  I went to bed last night while it was finding problems to fix and this morning, it was finished.  But it just took me through the same steps and it will not start up.  It will act like it is starting up.  You see Windows Starting up, then the logo and it stays stuck there and then goes right back to the screen choose between repair startup or normal startup. I checked the USB ports.  All pins are the same distance apart so I don't think that could be the problem.
Thank you for any help with this in advance.
    Beverly

I am able to get to screen for Safe Mode, etc. however whether I try Safe Mode or Safe Mode with networking, it just hangs at the loading windows file screen. After a while, it goes right back to Launch Startup Repair screen. Then it is a constant looping of same if I just let it run without turning off the computer.

  • Urgent-Application server 9 will not start

The Sun Java System Application System could not start. I am using Netbeans 5.5. The following was displayed.
More information about the causes is in the Server log file.
    Possible reasons include;
    - IDE timeoout: refresh the server node to see if its running now.
    - Port conflicts. (use netstat - a to detect possible port numbers already used by the operating system.)
    - Incorrupt server configuration (domain.xml to be corrected manually)
    - Corrupted Deployed Applications preventing the server to start. (This can be seen in the server.log file. In this case, domain.xml needs to be modified).
I would like to reset the domain.xml file as though no project has ever been deployed to the server how can this be done. Please help.

    Hello experts ,
Last one and half month on-words we are phasing some problems on STMS
while releasing the Transport Request getting this error messages on
    status-bar
    1. "could not start transport control program tp"
    2. while importing the TR into quality system getting this error message" RFC Error :timeout during allocate/CPIC-CALL "
3.while forwarding the TR from QAS to PRD : " RFC Error :timeout during
    allocate/CPIC-CALL "
after continues refreshing,we are able to release the request and importthe request into quality system. But after some time again same problem
    coming
for this we did the kernel upgrade , tp , & R3trans update and STMS RE-
Configuration etc...But no use with this we got the same problem after
finishing all these workaround , but don't know what happened after 2-3
days STMS starts working fine DEV-QAS-PRD ,
Now we are in the same problem after continues refreshing,we are able torelease the request and import the request into quality system. But after
some time again same problem coming
please suggest us what could be the reason behind this & what we can do
    for better

  • Import process not started in CHARM 7.1 when there is empty transport

    Hi all,
We have this issue when using CHARM in Solman 7.1 to import transports for Urgent Change documents (ZMHF).
When we import 2 transports (1 released Workbench and 1 unreleased empty transport) to the ECC QA system, the system returned with error "Not all transports yet released". The Task List log displyed that releasing process was completed ok, but the import process was not started.
We had this issue after we applied Support Pack (EHP6) to our ECC QA system.
Prior to the upgrade, the releasing and import process are ok even there is empty transport. The system will just delete the empty transport when we use the action "Pass Urgent Change to Test".
Has anyone have any idea about this issue?
    Thanks,
    Tess

    HI Tess,
What is the SP version of SAP Solution manager 7.1 system.
Normally subtask only needs to release in TR, once the click the "pass change to test"
    https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000478212011E/index.htm
    Action :
CLEAR_EMPTY - This action will delete the empty TR in the change document.
RELEASE_REQU - it will release the TR
IMPORT_TEST - Start importing in the QAS
Please update the ChaRM master note in the system and try iy.
Also  check the action log and post it.
