What is the upgrade path from EP 6.0 SP2 to SP3 ? Can someone please point me to relevant documents, OSS notes etc. in this regard.

Hi Manish,
Starting with SP3 the portal becomes a part of Netweaver 04. The blunt end of the stick points to the need to upgrade your WAS to 6.40.

By your state, I know you get error when you use Get_ClientAccessServer. I think it caused by AutoDiscover, you can check it.

7. Tested opening EMC on both Exchange 2007 and 2010 and were able to successfully expand the Server Configuration for every role and enumerate all servers.

the problem is caused by wrong group type, so I agree with Martina’s suggestion to check your group type.

Exchange 2010 SP2 to SP3 upgrade question regarding Forefront
When doing an upgrade from 2010SP2 to SP3 is it recommended stopping all exchange services manually before installing the update? I know there is a prereq of stopping forefront or you may have an issue with services starting. I have not run into
this issue in my test environment. I do not know if the SP3 install requires any checks of services to be running or not.
I have also notices on a cas/ht server with forefront installed, you can't stop forefront without shutting down the transport service. So is it best to just shut all services down first before doing the upgrade?Hi,

We are running GW 8.0.2 HP2 right now and we need to upgrade to SP3 and are wondering (since the documentation for update was not very clear on that point) do I have to down all domains and poa's during the upgrade or is it just the domain/poa that i'm currently updating that will be down?

Upgrading from Exchange 2007 SP2 to SP3 stops and fails with Performance Counter
We are upgrading from Exchange 2007 SP2 to SP3.
Exchange Server is on Windows 2008 Enterprise 64 bit OS -SP2
DC is on windows 2008 Enterprise 32 bit OS - SP2
When we run Exchange SP3 setup.exe GUI, it runs through the pre-requisites completely and then starts to configure the Hub Transport services but @ exactly 55% it throws an error window "Exchange Server Setup encountered an error"
On repeating this process i noticed it throws the same error at 55% while "Performance COunter Configuring". Please find below the entries of exchangesetup.log

1. disabled anti virus and tried.
2. removed watermarks and action entries in the registry
3. tried almost everything mentioned on google but i am not able to move forward.

Upgrade Exchange 2010 SP2 to SP3 getting fail
Hi,
I am trying to upgrade from exchange 2010 SP2 to SP3, but it getting failed.
I have already run the prepare schema, prepare and domain prep in all domains and it got replicated in DR Domain controllers.
But, still i am not able to upgrade the server. The error says,

Schema updates should be done on a schema master or on a DC in the same AD site as the schema master. Once extended, the updates will replicated via AD replication. To narrow down the issue, I recommend you check if there is any event related to replication
on domain controller holding schema master role.
Is the schema master role in the same site as the Exchange server which you want to upgrade? If not, you can try to transfer FSMO role to a domain controller which is in the site where you want to install Exchange 2010 SP3 and then upgrade to check the result.

Weblogic 6.1 server upgrade from SP2 to SP3
Hi All
We have weblogic server 6.1 SP2 installed on the solaris machine. Now we
have to upgrade our weblogic server 6.1 SP3. We also have downloaded the installable.
But that installable seems to over-write the previous weblogic server & installs
the server afresh. Is there any patch kinda thing available which allows me to
upgrade from SP2 to SP3 ? I don't want a fresh new install of SP3 server.

We are planning on upgrading out Exchange servers from SP2 to SP3 RU7. We are currently using an Avaya phone system and have Dialgoc gate2ways between these systems to allow us to get the voice mail into the end user's mailbox as a wav file. We are using

Upgrading XP-Pro SP2 to SP3. What are the consequences to:
1] Recovery Console, especially if installed on your drive? Should it be reinstaled? But it will need a CD with SP3 version of XP.
2] Previously created recovery disk. Should it be recreated? If you do, is it actually taking account of SP3?
3] Can the SP3 upgrade be slipstreamed as SP1 and SP2, creating a SP3 version of XP?
There are more questions, but this are the most important.

2] you must create first a slipstream CD of XP PRO SP3, which can certainly be done,
3} following previously issue procedure by MS, so that it can find the new information.
In the same vane, you can not slipstream Vista to SP1. MS is suppose to provide it.

I'm midway through the swing upgrade process of migrating from Exchange 2003 - Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013. Everything has gone smoothly between the Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 migration which I started two days ago. it has been running

I have tried the FIX: WCF services that are hosted by NLB computers to route messages to Exchange Server fail when WebHeader settings are added by using a .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 application

The language of the Outlook user interface that an Outlook user sees, including the content generated by Exchange, depends on the following:
The language the user is using in Outlook
Whether the language they're using in Outlook is supported by Exchange 2010
Whether the language they're using in Outlook has been configured to be available on the Exchange 2010 server
Consider the following scenarios:
When an Outlook user who's set their language to <Language A> signs in to their Exchange 2010 mailbox and both Outlook and Exchange 2010 support the language the user has specified, <Language A>, the user will see all messages and Exchange-generated
mailbox components, for example, the Inbox, in Language A.
When an Outlook user who's set their language to <Language A> signs in to their Exchange 2010 mailbox that's been set to <Language B>, the Outlook user will see the Outlook user interface in Language A, but will see the content generated
by Exchange. For example, by default, folder names such as Inbox,
Deleted Items, and Sent Items display in <Language B>.
You can change the Exchange mailbox language setting on the server using Exchange Management Console or the Exchange Management Shell. For information about how to use the Shell to change the language setting for a mailbox on a server, see
Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration.

Hi,
We have an issue with our OWA page. We are currently publishing OWA via UAG.
We recently upgraded to Exchange 2010 SP3 and then SP3 Rollup7. Since the upgrade, we are keep getting the following error after entering our credentials on the login page. I've tried with every possible browser.
You do not have permissions to view this folder or page
Strangely enough, the mobile phones are sending and receiving emails just fine, the phones use the same OWA link, so it's not an authentication issue, the phones login into the UAG servers with no issues. I can see this on the Active Sessions screen
on Web Monitor.
I've attempted to connect to the OWA by bypassing the UAG server, so putting in the local OWA address of one of my Exchange servers, it works... so the OWA page is up and running.
No error logs get generated on Web Monitor when we receive the permission error, I think this is because it's past authentication, it's on the Exchange layer.
Any insight would be helpful? I'm assuming something changed on the Exchange side after the upgrade.
Just in case, I've upgraded the UAG and TMG servers to the latest SP and Rollup packets.
UAG > SP4
TMG > SP2 Rollup 5I've found a solution; UAG requires Basic Authentication over OWA. For some reason Integrated Windows Authentication got turned on after the SP3 upgrade.

Turning Integrated Windows Authentication off via the Client Access OWA settings resolved the issue. Though beware, you
have do this on all your Client Access servers. -

I get the following error while upgrading WL 6.1 from SP2 to SP3....
I noticed someone else on this newsgroup got the same error while upgrading
