EP Load time is too High - and Browser crashes

Hi,
We have customized Enterprise Portal for our Company. All are going fine, but some users who are in same network as others are facing Long load time issue. It takes lot of time to load the home page and some time it even crashes.
Is there are other reason for such occurrences other than network error, like browser setting or any thing else. Please help me out in this.
Best Regards,
-Shabir Rahim.

  • I/O too high and it almost reach 100%

    Experts:
I use berkeley DB to store some index information, the key values are string type and usually they are 20 chars.
Now the hit rate shows it is 98% and db_stat shows no more pages are pageout or pagein. While the I/O rate is too high. I only run the serach command.

  • Page load time differences between IE and Firefox

    Hello all,
I have a problem with page loading time in IE 8. My page contains tabular form, classic report and some other items. I use some javascript code(placed in HTLM Header section) and also dynamic actions. When I try to display the page in IE I have to wait for 40 seconds (100 rows in tabular form). I realized that the performance is dependent on the number of displayed rows in the tabular form. But decrease the number of visible rows, using pagination, is not an option, because all needed rows should be visible for the users. During the tests I have tried to remove all the JS code and disable all the dynamic action, but the loading time was more or less the same.
When I try to run the same page in FireFox then it is displayed in 4 seconds!
I have already try to search some tips or advices how to speed up the page loading, but only what I have found out is, that every web browser is different. The javascript is handled differently, page rendering is done differently and so on.
Maybe there is something what I have missed, and you experts can help me. Is there anything general what I should check or change to speed up the loading time in IE?
    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks Denes for your reply.
I use HttpWatch tool to measure the loading times. Reports are mostly the same for IE and FF. I can see from the report, there is three times shown error 404 Not Found for the items below.
    http://......./images/sRegion-Body.png
    http://......./images/sRegion-Bottom.png
    http://......./images/sReportBG-Standard.png
The last action which caused 404 error started 2 seconds after the page was asked to refresh. The next action http://......../i/libraries/jquery-ui/1.8.22/ui/i18n/oracle/jquery.ui.datepicker-cs.js started after 38 seconds (hanging in the same place for 36 seconds). Does it mean that the problem is caused by http://......./images/sReportBG-Standard.png action which returns 404 error?
How can I add the missing images?

  • Db_files too high and  High parse to execute ratio Error

    Hi DBAs,
I was using TOAD to check the statistics on our database and got the above
error(db_files too high) against DBWR avg scan depth(3,057.4334) AND ALSO High parse to execute ratio against Parse to execute ratio 83,2903 How do I
    deal with these problems ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Database version ?
    9.2.0.4.0
db_files is a parameter. Check what it is set to.
    show parameter db_files
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    db_files integer 200
"High parse to execute ratio" may mean that your code does not use bind variables, so there is not much reuse. It can also be impacted by the setting of parameters cursor_sharing or shared_pool.
    show parameter cursor_sharing
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    cursor_sharing string EXACT
    show parameter shared_pool
    shows nothing!!!!!!
    show parameter sga
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    lock_sga boolean FALSE
    pre_page_sga boolean FALSE
    sga_max_size big integer 1612782288
    So what do you suggest?

  • "db file scattered read" too high and Query going for full table scan-Why ?

    Hi,
I had a big table of around 200mb and had a index on it.
In my query I am using the where clause which has to use the
index. I am neither using any not null condition
nor using any function on the index fields.
Still my query is not using the index.
It is going for full table scan.
Also the statspack report is showing the
"db file scattered read" too high.
Can any body help and suggest me why this is happenning.
Also tell me the possible solution for it.
    Thanks
    Arun Tayal

"db file scattered read" are physical reads/multi block reads. This wait occurs when the session reading data blocks from disk and writing into the memory.
Take the execution plan of the query and see what is wrong and why the index is not being used.
However, FTS are not always bad. By the way, what is your db_block_size and db_file_multiblock_read_count values?
If those values are set to high, Optimizer always favour FTS thinking that reading multiblock is always faster than single reads (index scans).
Dont see oracle not using index, just find out why oracle is not using index. Use the INDEX hint to force optimizer to use index. Take the execution with/witout index and compare the cardinality, cost and of course, logical reads.

  • I had gain too high and mike was too sensitive, now my audio is distorted!

Is there any hope for me? I was using an external directional mike, and I think I had the gain (or mike input volume) too high.
I was recording an outside rock concert, and the sound is muddy, distorted, and horrible. Can I use Soundtrack Pro to clean this up? Is there anything I can do or is the situation hopeless?
    Thanks for any help.

All of us who work with technology can tell stories of really bad mistakes we made
as we were learning our craft. Some of them are funny. Some are not. But we learn and move on.
There's nothing you can do about that distortion.
However, from now on, you will always remember to check your levels and monitor your audio.

  • Windows loading time is too long!

After I installed Desktop manager  ver4.6 to my PC .  PC loading time  is very long,
It takes 3 minutes to load  desktop screen when turning on PC .  (without Desktop Manager it takes one and 30 minutes)
Does Anyone have same issue ?         OS: XP pro
After  finish loading  I do not feel slow.
    please help me out .
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Do you have the Desktop Manager set to load when the computer boots up? If so you can disable that by going into Add/Remove Programs, select the Desktop Manager and hit the Change/Remove button. Hit Modify, select the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and hit Next. You want to keep going through the wizard to pick the same options you did when installing it. When you're on the last screen before you hit 'Install' uncheck the box that says to start the Desktop Manager when the computer starts.

  • Load Time of Pages  High For Some Reason

    Hello,
    I have a win 2003 server running cf7 on iis 6.0
Once and awhile some pages are taking between 10 and 11
seconds to load, so fusion reactor will send me an email if they
    are over 10 seconds.
The pages pull 2 very small database queries and that is it,
the rest of the page is just text and graphics. When I get the
email I always go to the page and it takes 15 ms , a little more, a
    little less at times.
If a person that has dialup accesses the page could this be a
reason why it is taking so long for the page to execute? I didn't
think the speed of the connection to the page actually effected the
    execution times.
I am on a high speed connection and I have never been able to
go to the pages in question and have it take time to load
    Any thoughts / Comments?
    Thanks!
    Randy

You may have other pages that are causing this problem. If
    you have
some other pages that take a little longer to process and
    sometimes
these pile up and use up all the available threads. Then
    another page
comes along and has to wait eight or nine seconds for a
    thread before
running. It is these pages that trigger the error, but they
    are not
necessarily the ones causing the problem.
So you will have to look at your entire system to see where
    the actual
    problem may be.

  • Execution time is too high.

    Hi,
I got several xsql-files that uses aprox. 1 minute to execute by them selves. I want to run one xsql that includes them all, but it times out, and I get an server-error. Is there any way I can get the execution time down, or change the timeout-setting?
I am running the xsql that comes with 8.1.7

If Oracle8i JServer is included in the Oracle 8i package, then yes. The database itself is not large (aprox. 50Mb with data), but the results of the queries can get somewhat large. Here is an example:
    1. first I made a view:

  • SLOW Music Store loading times (Safari too)

For the past few weeks (unsure if directly tied to a security or version upgrade), the ITunes music store has become painfully slow to load. The load bar starts, gets about 90% there quickly, then appears to 'hang', like it is having trouble loading the last couple images. All store pages have the same problem, including searches. Similar thing happening in Safari, though is more manageable since, unlike ITunes music store, the screen appears before it is fully loaded.
Other computers on my same home network, including both a mac and a PC, do not have this problem with ITunes. It is definitely just this one computer.
Have tried resetting Safari, playing with the buffer setting on ITunes, no luck.
    Thoughts? Thank you

    Hi Jim,
The 'refresh to force the page to load' symptom is usually a sign that you either have the wrong DNS addresses specified in your Network preferences or your ISPs DNS server are very slow.
Have a search for DNS on the Safari forum - there's quite a few posts and sample addresses for you to try out.
    Good luck.

  • Account Balance too high and won't let me make any...

All of a sudden couple weeks back I was seeing $4.26 million in my Skype account although I recharged my account with $5.00. And it is still showing up on my Skype account and it's still a mystery. However, the biggest challenge that I am having as of now is making calls from Skype which have come to a stand by since I cannot make any outgoing calls wherever it is chargeable. Not sure what happened but since I started seeing this huge credit balance on my account, my outgoing PAID calls seems to have been blocked. There is no customer service no that I could reach out to, but I need this to be resolved at the earliest. Also I didn't utilise all of my balance so not sure where did that balance vanish. I would really appreciate a quick response. Thanks, Sandi.

Hello and welcome to the Skype Community!
Your account shows that you have used up your last credit purchase made on 08/02/2014. To be able to make calls again you'll need some more credit. I'll check out the other aspects and advise.
