Few things to check.
1) If your machine is not in any domain then make sure you have nabled loopbac adapter on the network. also add your hostname is the host file at c:\windows\system32\driver\etc\host
Also, I think I have seen this error and that was because when I unrared the installations files for sneak preview, I got few errors although all looked fine. So, did you recieve any error while doing unrar. If yes, then check if you have correct size of installable.
Also, in my case it was actually due to the problem with winrar utility itself. I used winrar on another machine on the same rar file and it worked fine.
But as u are saying SQL 2000 server you may not be using Sneak Preview.
Also check the user you are using to install has Admin rights.

MIM PAM - Service and Portal Install Error
Guys,
I'm having an issue deploying MIM Service and Portal.
I have downloaded the MIM CTP from the Microsoft Connect and following the MIM CTP test lab guide for PAM.
I'm on page 25/26 trying to launch the Service and Portal msi to install. When I launch the setup as the
administrator I get the following error.
When I enabled msiexec logs, the only error I see is shown below. Any ideas?

Have you filed a bug on Connect? That is the preferred support method for
the CTP.

ORA-06510 error in portal install
The portal install fails at 50% and the following is from the
portal install.log:
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
Errors encountered in the Install process. Installation Aborted.I also have this problem. Portal configuration/installation crashes at
about 50%.
Maybe it is because my installation lasted more than 2 hours as it
is said in installation program. But on the other hand, I also get no-
data-found error and therefore this should not happen because of
some kind of timeout. Because of this no-data-found I get core
dump in database.
Technical details:
I am using Oracle9i 9.0.1 DB on SuSE Linux 7.2.
DB alert log contains:
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kzrtevw()+323]
[SIGSERV] Address not mapped to object [0x4] [] []
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
ORA-06512: at "PORTAL30.WWSEC_API", line 433
ORA-01403: no data found
Trace file contains current SQL statement:
INSERT INTO WWSEC_MEMBER$ ...
How can NO_DATA_FOUND happen on INSERT?
Portal configuration assistant log file shows that error happened in
step 14: installing seed data for all layers and it ends with error
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel (standard client
error when core dump occurs).
Any ideas how to solve this problem?

this is a portal application problem - nothing to do with this forum. Anyway - you can try by changing your component-config portion in portalapp.xml and see whether it works or not.
Your current component config is like below
<component-config>
<property name="ClassName" value="com.rr.JspPage.JspPage"/>
<property name="ComponentType" value="jspnative"/>
<property name="JSP" value="pagelet/JspPageFile.jsp"/>
<property name="ServicesReference" value="com.sap.portal.ivs.connectorservice"/>
</component-config>
Try replaing the same with below:
<component-config>
<property name="ClassName" value="com.rr.JspPage.JspPage"/>
<property name="SecurityZone" value="com.sap.portal.pdk/low_safety"/>
</component-config>
Check once and let me know...

EP6.0SP2: MSS teamviewer - portal runtime error
Hi all,
could you provide me with information how to solve this problem:
We implemented the BP MSS 60.1.2 . Now only a few iviews are working fine - he most of them occur this error:
Portal Runtime Error - ... - tcom/sap/pct/hcm/orgmanagementeventing/CKey.
The teamviewer is not working neither, here this error appears:
Portal Runtime Error - ... -
Component Name : null
Page could not create the iView
I have found some similar topics within the sdn forum, but the only solution mentioned there are to reimplement MSS 60.1.1 .
Is this the only solution for this foreseen ??
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sandra1st question would be.. does that iview in that path actually exist. If it does it may be worth delting it from the page and then adding it again. if it doesn't, well that's your problem.
If it does exit then try previewing it. Looking at the error (Component Name : null) it could be that the par file has not deployed properly, in which case it is basically pointing at java code that doesn't exist. If that is the case look for any .err files at OS level, rename then to .par and restart j2ee.

Portal Runtime error during 1, 2, 3 Drag & Relate?
Hi,
I have successfully install SR1 version of the EP6. I am attempting to complete the "1, 2, 3 Drag&Relate" weblog. During one of the steps you have to go to User Administration > User Mapping to set the Everyone group user mapping.
I am using sa id and the password I set during my SQL installation.
As I click save button after entering the input I get this error:

Please help.
SriramThis was also discussed several days ago in this forum - please search the forum before posting.
Did you install the strong encryption libraries? Without those libraries then usermapping cannot be stored securly in the DB and thus you see the error - by default ume.usermapping.unsecure is set to false, for VERY GOOD REASON. If you allow unsecure usermapping the the user/pwd data is stored in BASE64 strings in the DB - this is hardly secure.
Only set ume.usermapping.unsecure to true in non-productive environments.

How to bind an IIS to the enterprise portal installed on a linux machine
Dear all,
I am very new to the topic of Enterprise Portal.
Our intention is, to develop .NET IViews and deploy them in the Enterprise Portal.
The Enterprise Portal Server is set up on a linux machine.
The Guy who did install the Portal Server, has no idea how to "integrate" the Microsoft IIS to the Portal.
After deploying my .net Component, i tried to view this component in the portal (by right clicking the mouse on the Component in in the .NET Solutions Explorer).
This gives me the following error:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occured while processing a request for:
iView:N/A
Component Name: N/A
Could not find portal application com.sap.portal.dotnet.framework.
Exception id: 02:06.......
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
I think that this has something in common with integrating the IIS on the Linux Machine, and maybe additionaly installing the pdk.net on the IIS webserver machine which should be used.
Thank you for your help.
RegardsHi,
Welcome to the world of Enterprise portal
Seems to me like you are trying to use the PDK for .NET. If so - Please read the overview section in the documentation to get a general idea of how it works (for example - IIS is not used at all!).
See the Visual Studio integrated help or click this https://media.sdn.sap.com/html/submitted_docs/dotnet/index.htm
there go to "Getting Started" and mostly "Overview".
Anyway, It seems like the problem is that you didn't deploy the 2 required SDA's to the portal. You should also take a look at the "installation and configuration" guide. Download it here: https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/developerareas/dotnet.sdn?contenttype=url&content=/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/a1-8-4/pdk for .net administrator guides.zip
Good luck,

yes, Karsten is correct. Just some background:
"User Mapping not fully available.." finally means that user mapping is configured to use strong encryption, but the main crypto key for user mapping is missing. Usually, that's because "SAP Java Cryptographic Toolkit" and/or "JCE policy files for unlimited strength encryption" are not installed (or the server hasn't be restarted afterwards). The note will most likely help

Refer to the log file for details about this exception.
I have looked into log file for Portal and detected the following error text:
#1#com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException:
Exception in SAP Application Integrator occured: Unable to parse template &\#39;<System.Access.WAS.protocol>://<System.Access.WAS.hostname>
/sap/bw/BEx?sap-client=<System.client>&sap-language=<Request.Language>&accessibility=<User.Accessibility
[SAP_BOOL]>&style_sheet=<LAF.StylesheetUrl[url_ENCODE]>&<TrayInformation[IF_true PROCESS_RECURSIVE]>&<Authentication>&<Report>&<BusinessParameters>&\#39;; the problem occured at position 82. Cannot process expression <System.client> because Invalid System Attribute:
System: &\#39;SAP_LocalSystem&\#39;,
Attribute: &\#39;client&\#39;.
Question:
How can I correct this error?
Any helpful information will be very appreciated!
AxelHi Alex,
It seems that the iview (of the type Application intergrator) cannot read or interperet the "client" parameter from your system object.
I can also see that the systemobject-alias that is reffered to is "SAP_LocalSystem".
Find the System Object called SAP_BW and see if all settings to connect to the backend are correct.
In addition in the iview try to set the system-alias from SAP_LocalSystem to SAP_BW and retry.
Good Luck.

Got a Portal runtime error while using JSPDynepage
Hi,
Please help me out in the this error which I got when I tried to run the component developed based on JSPDynePage. I developed the component in the Developer Studio (version 2.0.4) in my local machine, built the project and deployed in the remote server using the option "Quick PAR Upload".
It says JSP file could not be found.
Thanks in advance
Sushma
