EPCM Support for Firefox
Hi
We are running EP7 SP12.
I'd like to know if EPCM raiseEvents are supported in forefox? I have checked the PAM for SAP NW7.0 (Browser support) and I am able to see that firefox 2.0 and 3.0 is supported, but somehow can't get it to work in both versions.
We have an application that has links that uses the following code to navigate to other jsps:
function linkPL(name)
EPCM.raiseEvent("urn:com.epcf.EPCFProducer", "myInbNavClickEvent", name);
<<a href="#" xxxxxx="linkPL('sap.myml.portal.rsp.MyInboxDynpage')"> My Inbox</a>>
xxxxxx=onClick (For some reason, if I put this along with the code, it doesn't get posted here!)
While these seem to work just fine in IE6, they are not working in Firefox (I have tested them in both version - 2.0.0.17 and 3.0.3).
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I use Firefox on my desktop and love it. Would love to have it on my smartphone Samsung Galaxy Music Duos S6012. However my smartphone is not supported by firefox. Any changes of it being supported in near future ?
Thanks and Regards
ShriramThanks Aron for the reply...
From my smartphone, when I visit google play and search for firefox, both firefox as well as firefox beta are not visible... When I search on my desktop both are visible but saying my device is not supported...
I installed the OpenGL-ES Info app. But when I run it on my device, I just get blank screen with name of the application (OpenGL-ES Info) on top...
No info about OpenGL is displayed... My smartphone has got Ice-cream sandwitch 4.0.4 and it is upgradable to Jelly Bean 4.1
I than installed OpenGLES Extensions Viewer app from google play which displayed the OpenGL details.. Below are the details :
Android Version: 4.0.4

Looks like my smartphone has got OpenGL ES 2.0 from the above output... Why firefox is not supported in that case ?
Is that anything to do with Shading Language: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 1.00 ???
Thanks & Regards

Support for Firefox 3.5
This is my first post. So first of all let me say this; great work on Buzzword so far!
I recently upgraded Firefox to 3.5. Unfortunally Buzzword doesn't officially support this version yet. However Buzzword does work. So far only copy/pasting isn't working. So right now I'm switching between Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox just to copy/paste.
Any update on when Firefox 3.5 will be supported?Firefox 3.5 support is in the works. I know what you're going through: am stuck with IE8 until everything's fixed.
Rest assured: a fix is on the way. More info here:

Why no email addy for firefox, and why no support for firefox
moving shortly to chrome or any browser that does have an email addy and does support its product. since the latest update firefox comes up with "not responding" after every page or click on screen, however as their is no email to write to in order to find out whats gone wrong, then it shows that firefox have no confidence in their own product as they refuse to respond or have a contact us email addy. mind you its nice to know that this has happened before firefox 4 appeared as that will be even more hopeless if the latest update is anything to go by. should think that ie will be overjoyed at the large numbers coming back to them due to firefox's untested updates that kill firefox.

Flex automation support for Firefox 3.6.8
Hi There,
I have been using flex automation plugin for a while which comes with Flex Builder 3.0. Where it is mentioned that flex only supports automation with IE browser. Is the same comment applicable with Flas Builder 4 automation plugin. or is it supporting other browsers other than IE from Flash Builder 4 like Firefox.
Thanks,
RajeshSome say October. Though I have not seen any possible dates yet from Mozilla as they cancelled the3.6 EOL discussion they planned for in meeting at end of June and did not mention 3.6 in June 6 meeting notes.
There will be a 3.6.19 update at minimum scheduled for about August 16. -
I do not know what else to say except the support is very sketchy and I need help
Support articles for the various versions of Firefox are automatically shown based upon the version of Firefox that is used to view those support pages. If you use a different browser to view the support pages, you might need to select the correct version of an article on the right-side of the page.

Support for Firefox V3.0 on AIX available? Is v3.0 downloadable?
I need to download Mozilla Firefox V3.0 for AIX. Is this version (2007) still supported/downloadable ?
Mozilla makes desktop Firefox available for Windows, Mac and Linux. For AIX availability, you would have to check with IBM or whatever third-party source supplies it.
Apparently, IBM only makes Firefox 3.5.13 available:
http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/power/software/aix/browsers/index.html
Older and newer versions can be downloaded from third-party sources, but version 3.0 doesn't seem to be available:

I'm gay. FF, CEO is a bigot ,who financially, supports GOP efforts, to deny freedom and civil rights to Gay Comunity. I always thought FF was about a responsible company with an eye on the future and inclusion? Disappointed, and sadly, about to move on. I cant support injustice. Been a FF user since about 06-07', turned tons of friends on to Mozilla, love it. Sad day, I love products, but time for open minded CEO. Peace

Remote panel plugin support for Firefox browser?
I think I've been through all the relevant material on the NI site, but to no avail. I used to be able to make Remote Panels work with Mozilla by copying the NPLVWin32.dll into the Mozilla plugins directory. This doesn't seem to work with Firefox--at least, not with my Firefox.
I have XP, Firefox 1.0, and LabVIEW 7.1.1, and these tests are all on the machine that has LabVIEW installed, so the run-time engine is not the issue. The symptom is that I get "Click here to download plugin" when trying to load a page with an embedded panel no matter what things I do in the Firefox plugins folder.
Any ideas? I think that Firefox/Mozilla are closing in on 10% market penetration, with much higher rates in Europe, and I'm wondering if others have made this work. This experience has also made me want to know more about how browser plugins work (how the supporting library is selected and located by the browser, how the OBJECT and EMBED tags work, etc.), so good tips on explanatory nuggets are also appreciated.
Thanks,
JohnI have no issues using remote panels in Firefox (2.0) I believ 1.5 worked as well.
You only have to make sure you accept the ActiveX component

WebStart support for Firefox Browser using Java Linux AMD64
I am trying to setup a Firefox browser to use Java WebStart (jnlp).
I am running Java Linux (AMD64)
but I have no <JAVA_HOME/jre/plugins directory and no libjavaplugin_oji.so file with the Java installation.
1) Can I download libjavaplugin_oji.so plugin somewhere?
2) Will it work in Java Linux (AMD64)?
3) Can Java Linux (AMD64) be setup to operate Java WebStart Technology?
If so, How the h--- do I do it?
Frustrated
NewbeanI have the same problem. Downloaded the 64 bit jre and found no libjavaplugin_oji.so in it.
Then downloaded the 32 bit jre and did the soft link and still no work.
Has anyone made the 32 bit jre work on the 64 bit linux? -
Support for kde activities in firefox
I've just started making use of activities in kde but prefer firefox over the kde browsers. One thing missing though is proper suppoert for firefox profiles so I've put togeter a quick bash script and a .desktop file to take care of it.
Before you use it make sure that:
1)you only have one firefox profile named "xxxxxxxx.default" in your ~/.mozilla/firefox/ folder. There's no mechanism for handling more than one yet (maybe in the future)
2) you've enabled/conigured firfox sync- tick all boxes required *except* tabs- that would defeat the purpose.
Put this script somewhere in your path (mines at /usr/bin/) and make it executable
# Compatability for Firefox and kde 4.x's activities.
ACTIVITY=$(qdbus org.kde.kactivitymanagerd /ActivityManager CurrentActivity)
FF_FOLDER=$"$HOME/.mozilla/firefox"
DEF_PROF=$"$FF_FOLDER/????????.default"
NEW_PROF=$"$FF_FOLDER/????????.$ACTIVITY"
if [ -d $FF_FOLDER/????????.$ACTIVITY ];
then
firefox -no-remote -P $ACTIVITY
else
firefox -createprofile $ACTIVITY
cp -a $DEF_PROF/* $NEW_PROF/
cd $NEW_PROF
rm sessionstore.*
cd ~
firefox -no-remote -P $ACTIVITY &

exit

Well, there's too much more (like the desktop widgets) than what I'm going to explain here and there are articles that explain better than me.
Stock KDE has always let you save your applications when you close your session or shutdown the computer. The "set of applications" that were opened is called session. So... KDE when you boot again tries to open your opened applications at the same desktop where they were opened and with the same files that were open.
You can for sure exclude or force the load of some of these applications at login, but that's for another thread.
The thing is that you sometimes have a set of applications (and files opened) geared towards an specific activity. You might choose you to put them into a single desktop. That's great at the beginning but when you have too many activity-related-applications it's cumbersome. Too much applications opened at the same time. Or too many times changing the number or name of the virtual desktops.
So... If there were an specific way of saving a session of only the activity-specific-applications? So... that these applications just opened in a virtual desktop just for them?
Well... X11 Desktops were not powerful enough and Kde people invented another dimension on the work management called activities.
So basically when you stop an activity you just save the session (set of applications opened and its opened files) of that activity,not of all of your programs as before. When you start an activity (either manually or automatically because it was already opened when you closed your desktop session) all the saved session is restored.
The trick is that applications need to be activity-aware when it comes to save session, restore session and have not surprises as having all the windows of a given application in the same one activity or desktop. So... most of KDE applications are or will be activity-aware.
While the Mozilla people (or the people that make the mozilla-qt integration) decide to implement activity support for Firefox we need a workaround. And it seems this is a quite pretty one. It could be improved with hard links in order not to waste so much space with repeated profiles but I'm not quite sure it would work.
About deleting unused profiles technononsense explains my script exceptions that avoids accidental loose of information. I cannot live without deleting unused profiles because I use temporal activities a lot.
