    FYI, the two episodes currently missing from iTunes Canada (Nov 17 "The Next Month" and Nov 24 "Whack-a-Mole") are available online for Global TV "subscribers":

    None of us are realy "Global TV subscribers", we are customers of one TV service provider or another, aka cable and satellite companies. Alas, I am in the situation where my service provider - Bell TV - has apparently not yet reached an agreement with Global, so I am hooped twice. I paid iTunes for a season pass that seems to have stopped delvering content. And I pay Bell TV for content which Global says I can only get in online form once Global and Bell reach some kind of agreement, although Shaw, Telus and Cogeco subscribers are already receiving it.

    Having trouble downloading an episode of the good wife! Being instructed to tap to download but unable to do so, is preventing any other downloads and cannot be deleted.

    First try a Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons

    I have a season pass to The Good Wife. I was downloading and synching as the episodes became available then one day I found all the episodes missing from my Apple TV and my iMac. Only the pilot which I bought separately is still on both machines. How do I get the episodes back?

    Welcome to the  Discussion Forums.
    If the episodes had already transferred back to your imac, then they will disappear from the tv unless your settings are such that they will sync back. There have been incidents where content has been lost during transfer however if they have been lost after transfer I would first suspect user error.
    Use spotlight or manually search your media folder for the missing content, it may simply be that you need to re-add the original files back to itunes, or if they are indeed gone select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button inYour Purchase History.

  • The good wife not updated

    I have been checking to see if the latest episode of the good wife, which aired Sunday, January 6, 2013 has been uploaded to see on demand and it still has not been added. In fact, I noticed most shows that have aired in the new year have not been uploaded yet. Is there some glitch in the system? Is anyone else having this issue? Thank you for you help 

    Not only isn't the Good Wife from 1/6 still not ON Demand as of 9 AM on 1/11, but the following shows are also m issing from this week: Vegas from 1/8, Private Practice from 1/8,Revenge from 1/6, Once Upon a Time from 1/6, Grays Anatomy from 1/10, Scandal from 1/10 and probably many more from other networks!
    This is a DISGRACE as neighbors with Comcast have all these shows the next day ON Demand!
    Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can get Verizon management to realize that many of us are upset about the lax attitude in tech support when you call about this issue?

    Why are no episodes, old or new, of The Good Wife showing on On Demand? Why is the On Demand service so poor in general?

    In general what shows are available are completely up to the various Networks.  In this case it would seem that CBS is holding it up.  Occasionally its the actual program owners, e.g. the Amazin' Race wasn't available until the last year.

  • HT1551 when we try to watch a purchased show like The Good Wife - the program freezes and the little circle goes around and around - the only way to get the program going is to rewind or fast forward to jump start the movie again. Help!

    When we rent a show like The Good Wife while watching the show it freezes and the little circle goes around and around. The only way to get the program going again is to use the remote and go forward or backward. This happens throughout the whole show and it is impossible to watch. Can anyone help? We cannot watch movies or shows this way.

    Check istumbler.net or netstumbler to verify any interference
    Make sure you are on your ISPs DNS (settings - network - configure DNS - automatic)

  • The Good Wife and football time change - video recorder problem

    For the last 3 weeks I have been getting half of the Good Wife recorded because the football game on Sundays has backed up all the evening programs 35 minutes.  I am furious with CBS for extending the football game so people cannot record the programs. 
    I just spent one hour with a Verizon "help" person setting up the Manual recording for The Good Wife from 9:35 to 10:35 pm.  It looks like I may see the whole show next week but it says "not available" at the end.  I do not feel too confident that this will work and I cannot speak to anyone higher. 
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I have the same problem with Amazing Race -- every Sunday, CBS runs late with football which pushes back 60 minutes and subsequently everything else that evening.
    What I've taken to doing for any show on a channel which follows football (Sunday or Monday night) is setup a Series recording and then go back into the series a modify it and extend the End Time by 1 hour (I found most games only run over about 20-30 minutes but usually no more than an hour -- although to be safe you could add 90 minutes to the end if you really want to).  
    This results in recording the end of the previously show before the show I wanted to watch on nights when the game runs late which I can just fast-forward over) or an additional hour on the end of the show on nights when football somehow manages to end on time -- but that's not all them much space on the DVR and as a result I don't miss any of the show.
    I would love if one of these days the guide providers and the TV channels could provide real time updates that the DVR's could leverage and adjust their recording times on the fly, but alas that doesn't seem to be in the near future.   Of course, I've also complained to the networks that since football always seems to run over by at least 20 minutes -- why not just make the football time slot 30 minutes longer!  (and on nights with a shorter game, fill the extra time with an extended sports wrapup show or something).

    I bought the season pass but the final three episodes don't seem to be available

    In the iPhone profile, have you defined the iPhone browser? If not, the profile is relying on the resolution and that is what could be throwing it.

  • Good Wife Programming Issues

    IF VERIZON DOES NOT FIX THE PROGRAM GUIDE ISSUES WITH THE GOOD WIFE BY NEXT WEEK, I AM CHANGING SERVICES IMMEDIATELY. TGW is scheduled to come on at 9p, but doesn't start until 9:10 or so. Therefore, when I schedule my DVR to record I miss the last 15 minutes of the show and have to watch on demand. I don't know if the time is a CBS network decision or what, but Verizon needs to fix this error or accommodate the time difference in their guide. I have so many issues with Verizon Fios sub-par service especially when it comes to DVR, but this is really getting on my nerves & will force me to change.

    The guide data is not updated when the schedule is shifted by Sports events.  TGW last night by the MASTERS (PGA) that went a bit over schedule.  This is a common problem with ALL DVR's and not unique to Verizon.

  • Good Wife s.3 ep.6 won't play on Apple TV 1

    I downloaded The Good Wife season 3 edpisode 6. It plays fine on the Mac, and on an Apple TV 2. But attempting to play it on an Apple TV 1 results in 'Authorising' with the spinning cursor, followed by 'not authorised on this device'. All my other shows just play; they don't even need to get authorised. I get the same problem whether I stream it from iTunes, or sync it to the Apple TV itself.
    Any ideas why ATV1 needs to authorise this show, but not any other show?

    Yes, it does need to be authorised. But the device itself needs to be authorised, like your computer is. And the device is definitely authorised, because it plays other content purchased with this account. In the past, only rentals needed to be authorised individually - purchases did not.

I've even gone on the website for support (apple.com/support) but cannot find anything that will help me with this situation. Can someone please help me find a solution to this problem? I have been without a phone and do not have money to buy another one and it is crucial for me to get it fixed. Thanks.

    What computer operating system is involved in the Premiere Elements 11 and 13 issues? Same computer or different ones? Are you installing from purchased download installation files or from purchased installation disc? Does Premiere Elements 11 work completely on this computer whereas 13 will not?
    Let us go through the typical drill so as to take nothing for granted.
    1. Does the problem exist with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Are you working with an individual home computer or in a
    school or company network?
    2. Are you running the program as Administrator and is there any "domain" account involved?
    3. Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
    4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
    Let us start by ruling in or out any of the above, and then we can decide what next.
    Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
