Episodes of Downloaded TV Seasons play in incorrect order
When I attempt to play episodes of a tv series, and use the "skip" function to move to the next episode in the season, it instead takes me to a random episode in the season rather that the next on in the sequence, as though I was using shuffle (which I am not). So, for instance if I am watching episode 1 of season one of Firefly, and I attempt to skip to episode 2, iTunes decides to play episode 4 instead.
In principle TV Shows are grouped on the Show field and within a show sub-grouped on Season No., then ordered by Episode ID. In practice recent builds of iTunes and/or Apple TV firmware seem to be taking account of Album, Artist & Album Artist in certain views. For consistency I would suggest the following approach:
Show = Album = <Show Name>
e.g. "30 Rock"
Artist = Album Artist = <Show Name> Cast (or something like that)
e.g. "30 Rock Cast"
Season No. = <Season No.> or <Blank> (Separate seasons or all listed together)
e.g. 1-3
Episode ID = s##e## (This field, sorted alphabetically, controls order)
e.g. s01e01 - s03e58 (use s##e### when >99 episodes)
Episode No. = Track No. = <Absolute Episode No.>
(Can also be per season, but abs. is better) e.g. 1 - 58
Disc No. = <Season No.> (Can be set even if merging seasons)
e.g. 1-3
Taking this approach you can always merge or split into individual seasons simply by clearing or setting the Season No. field.

More than just a couple iTunes U classes and other podcasts I have downloaded somehow have incorrect clock or date issues that (so far) make it impossible to listen to them in the correct order on my ipod.
Is there a way within iTunes to correct the organization information for podcasts or lectures produced by other parties?If you keep them in the Podcasts section the order is determined by the feed, as is the data, and you can't alter them. If you drag them out to the Desktop you can rename them in a way which will get them to sort properly, and repimport them - though they will then turn up in the Music list and be treated as songs. They may well not carry any embedded data, so you may need to re-enter it manually.

I Purchased season 5 of Downton Abbey and have downloaded episode 1. It will play on my iPad but will not play on Apple TV. Other movies and videos work fine. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?
OOur internet service is not always fast enough to stream directly on Apple TV which is why we want to use AirPlay from the iPad to Apple TV. When we try to play a movie it starts for one second and then crashes out. This does not happen with every TV show - we watched 8 episodes of Season 4 with no problem, but it would not play episode 9 or episode 1 of season 5.

Does TV Shows show as a category under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes ? If it does, and that series is still in your country's store, then it should show there and you can download it from there (click the cloud icons) onto your Mac's iTunes library - you can then sync the episodes to your phone.

I have recently started downloading video files. I

Purchased the first four episodes of The Killing Season 2 and am so frustrated. Tried downloading on both my computer and iPad. Think they might be too big for iPad - says it's downloaded but can't open even though GB says there is enough. Here's how to do it.
1. App Store, iTunes Store should have the same AppleID on Computer and iPhones. (Free to share apps, music and books... )
2. Person A uses the same purchasing account for everything (ie. email, contacts and ...).
3. Person B have the same purchase account see no. 1 (for App Store and iTunes Store) but create a second AppleID for iCal, e-mail, contacts and etc. -

I paid for the entire second season of Homeland but only 4 episodes have downloaded. I have an email confirming my purchase and giving me a receipt number, so what should I do now?
If you click the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option on your computer's iTunes does that download them and/or do they show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (TV programmes won't show in all countries) ? If other TV programmes show there but not those then check to see if they are hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

I download radio programmes via Podcast, but have recently found that some episodes play for only 30 seconds and then the whole app quits. This happens even though the whole episode has downloaded. I would be grateful for advice.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Delete the problem episodes and redownload.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -
Why can't I download season episodes that are previous seasons?
I purchased a season pass for Warehouse 13 Season 2 in SD, but none of the episodes are downloading. I see that other people have had the same issue with season passes, but all of them are talking about current seasons. Is there a reason why it won't download old seasons?
Andre, when you said "if the license holder don't want my money", you said the key words. Apple doesn't control what can be distributed in each country's store the copyright holders in your country for that content do. Until they negotiate a contract with Apple for distribution rights, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Sorry!

I was trying to download 1 episode of "SUITS" when I noticed that I was actually downloading 2 seasons !!!!!!!! I am new to all of this, so I have no idea how any of this happened. The episode I was trying to download was supposed to be free !!!! I want the charges off my phone; I had to save up for my phone, I can not afford this. What can I do ???
There aren't 2 seasons of suits. There are only two episodes of the first season.

Basically I have 10 complete seasons of Friends and I often watch it again and again but at the moment my itunes play my tv shows in random order!
Please help!First, make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes on your computer. Update your Apple TV if you are using this as well.
Second, if the updates don't resolve it, you'll need to use 'Get Info' on each TV episode. Make sure the media type is 'TV Show'. Then make sure that the epside number and season information is entered properly.
That should fix your issue. -
I downloaded a full season of Tudors. I have watched them all. NOW.. I am downloading Carnivale Season2 (or trying to)and every time I try, ALL of the Tudors episodes start downloading again. I deleted them from my Itunes and my pc because now Im getting errors for disk is full, then I go to download Carnivale again and again Tudors is downloading. (I have deleted them from my pc and my itunes 3 times now) I am not able to make them stop from downloading whenever I make a new purchase.
Itunes has been contacted. They removed those files from my cue. Now that solved that issue but if I ever want to watch them again I will have to repurchase I guess.
