  • Supported Browsers for Captivate 4

Can someone please list the supported browsers for version 4 of Captivate?  I've scoured the web site and am coming up dry.  They are really pushing version 5 now.  I even called support, who later transferred me to sales, and neither could tell me what browsers are supported for version 4 - they only wanted to sell me a newer version.
I work for a non-profit children's hospital.  We are finally trying to upgrade from IE6 to a newer browser, and I just need to make sure our version 4 files will be compatible.  Thanks in advance!

    Hi there
I stand to be corrected on this, but...
I don't believe it's the browser that's the concern here. The browser uses either the Flash ActiveX control (IE) or the Flash Add In (Netscape, Mozilla Gorilla and others). So it's the Flash component that matters.
I do suppose there could be some concern with 64 bit systems, but even though I'm using a 64 bit system I'm able to see Captivate movies just fine in my browsers (IE and Firefox)

  • What is Apple's policy regarding supported browsers?

How long does Apple support a particular browser?  On the website it looks like I can download 14 different versions + I can go to iTunes to download earlier versions - what's the policy? I want to make sure I can get help when I need it. :-)

Apple only has one Browser: Safari. You can't really download Safari for iPad as its built in and can only be udpated via the General Sytstem Updates.
Browser support for 3rd parrty browsers depends entirely on the developer of the App.
Not sure what you mean by 14 different versions though.

  • OWA Full Version - Supported Browsers?

Our organization is facing an issue with users not being able to delete or move emails in the OWA. After much testing and research, we determined that users were able to use the full version of OWA without any issues using IE. However, in order to be able
to move or delete emails in all other browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) users are limited to using the light version of OWA. I have read that MS supports all of the aforementioned browsers with the full version of OWA. However, the full version only
works with IE for our organization. Has anyone else experienced this issue and what, if anything, have you been able to do to resolve the issue other than have users to select the light version of OWA when using any browser other than IE?

    Hi,
Please make sure "Use the blind and low vision experience" is unchecked in OWA.
Here is a related article which may help you for your reference.

  • Parental support browsers vs safari, does anyone have any tips?

I am looking at installing an app that will put in place some parental controls for my children, but the ones I have looked at all suggest disabling safari and using their browser.  I'm a bit wary of this, anyone got any experience, tips, things to avoid?

I'm not sure why using a different browser and disabling Safari would make you "wary". If you want more parental controls for browsing, it's the best way. Should you want to use Safari, it takes 10 seconds to disable Restrictions. The McGruff browser gets recommended quite a bit.
