EPM Configurator Error "Failed to navigate from RegistryWizardState: Error while initializing registry. See logs for more details" while configuring Essbase Server on 64 bit OS using Oracle Database

Failed to navigate from RegistryWizardState

Hi,
I am running into an issue while configuring EPM system 11.1.2.3. When I enter the Shared Services user credential, it gives me an error "Failed to navigate from RegistryWizardState:. I have granted the shared services user with the following grants. Which grants am I missing? HYP_SS being my shared services user/schema?
Also, as mentioned in one of the threads to delete the reg.properties file. I can't seem to find that file in 11.1.2.3 directory structure.
Grant create table to HYP_SS;
GRANT CONNECT TO HYP_SS ;
GRANT RESOURCE TO HYP_SS ;
ALTER USER HYP_SS DEFAULT ROLE CONNECT, RESOURCE;

Have you given all privileges as per below listing in Oracle Install-Config guide?
It says,

Did you have a look at configtool.log as to what errors its having ?
I think the reg.properties will get created if you have all sufficient rights on Oracle database user/schema.

Failed to navigate from registry

On a distributed install for 11.1.2.2 on win 2008 R2 64 bit, I was able to get Shared Services configured to a new schema. But when trying to configure R&A and Planning on another box I landed on "failed to navigate from registry wizard state error while initializing registry" while trying to perform a connect to shared services DB. I tried and tested the following:
added entries to the host file, verified db connectivity, telnet to the db host everything is fine. Its an oracle database on a unix box. I have been able to use the same db for performing config on DEV and was successful at that .
Any thoughts on this ?

RH7 Error: Failed to read from log... Failed to generate WebHelp Pro

Installed RH9 trial on Windows XP PC. Then, generated an existing project using RH7 to a new C: drive directory location on the PC using the same name. Renamed the project files in that C:drive directory to a test name and opened the project's .xpj file in RH9. It converted cleanly.
Now, when I go to generate the RH7 original project from the original server directory, I receive:
Error: Failed to read from log (file name) .log.... Internal error encountered, Failed to generate WebHelp Pro.
Does the log file keep track of the previous generation (time stamp,etc), since this RH7 generation has a skip in it for the one generated to the C:drive? I've compared the log files from each run (.txt files) and don't see a difference. I even copied the log file from the C:drive run to the Server directory. No luck. Any ideas?

Thanks for the prompt response. I am trying to evaluate RH9 / RH Server 9.
When I generate RH7 projects, I’ve always put the server (RH7 Server) directory reference in the ‘Output Folder and Start Page’ field. This directory reference is where the compiled output ends up right? In my case, it’s in that field as:
PBSrobohelp\D$\RoboHelp <file:///
PBSrobohelp\D$\RoboHelp> Web Files\PBS Unit Processes Manual. I’m not aware of a C:Drive local copy of the files. Doesn’t it go out to the server output for the .log file in question?
For the test, I took an existing project in RH7 and replaced this server reference with a C:Drive local hard drive directory reference and ran the output to it. Then I went to the C:Drive directory and changed the project name, because there doesn’t appear to be a way to do a ‘save as’ on a project – RH7 wants to keep that name badly. I then, shutdown RH7 and started RH9. I opened the .xpj file from the new test project copy. It recognized that it was from an older release and it converted the test copy to RH9. It converted cleanly with about 2 inconsequential document warnings but did not create a TOC. I looked it over and saved it in RH9 – it was already my test name.
The original RH7 project opens fine in RH7 and the Test RH9 project opens fine in RH9. So I think I have a good test copy. It’s just that when I point the RH7 original to the Server Output folder (which has its files) it gets the error on generation.
We are evaluating RH Server 9 but I haven’t attempted to publish anything to it yet. I’ve stayed purely on my desktop.

Hello experts,
I am facing this issue in SBO 9.0 PL 08.
Using SBOdemoUS, clic 'Duplicate' an existing Sales Order, then select a Business Partner, and hit 'yes' to the question in order to refresh rows with new BP info. You will get red bar error 'Failed to load from XML resource - (UI_API 7004) [Message 66000-6]' and it wipes out all the copied rows info. Does not happen with BPs that don't have default Ship To info.

Here I am wondering that I have installed and configure successfully in dev environment with the same DB privileges and folder permissions,as well same character set details and the same install files every thing is same as dev environment, but the same approach is failing in prod environment.
I am unable to figure out what exactly issue is,
Can any one please help me out in this regard.

We are using the different schemas(ESHSRVC for dev and ESHSRVC4 for prod)and different user ids as well in the db server( devdwdb.newcorp.com:1531:DEVDW)
where the DEVDW is the sid for both schemas.
Here the HSS tables created in ESHSRVC and working fine for dev.
but in the new installation and config with the ESHSRVC4 schema the config is failing and throwing the error msg..
I am sure the new installation is not pointing to the old HSS populated schema(ESHSRVC) and I have given the connection details of ESHSRVC4(new schema) while config the shared services for new one.
I cross checked the both schema's have the same privileges and character sets.
but in the new config with new schema is unable to create the registry and throwing error.
I have uninstalled and deleted the entire folder and created new schema's and started the new install and config still getting same error.

Please try to avoid posting duplicate forum posts.
This command :
bouser@v-bo-1 bobje$ ./ccm.sh -restart ras
Restarts RAS server and has nothing to so with WebIntelligence.
To be able to Start/Stop servers from CMC, you have to have rexec running on your Unix box.
Google rexec for more information on what it does and ask your Unix admin to enable it.

Yaourt fails "error: failed to prepare transaction (unexpected error)"

Today, I am trying to do a full system upgrade using yaourt, but I get this strange message:
[christian@pb-tj72 ~]$ yaourt -Syua
:: Synchronizing package databases...

extra is up to date
community is up to date
error: failed to prepare transaction (unexpected error)
:: Starting full system upgrade...
It makes me wonder that it first reports the error and then executes the full system upgrade.
I hope that this is a well-known problem or that somebody can help me with instructions regarding how to increase verbosity or which log files to look at.
Otherwise, will the yaourt-alternatives work with the AUR packages that I've already installed with yaourt?

Failed AAF Import from PT: Error Code -39, bad references. Any clues?

I received an AAF file (and associated 96khz 24bit aif's) exported from ProTools. Several of the aifs are 28kb files that Finder's Get Info says have a duration of 0:00. Earlier on in the project I successfully imported an OMF export; this AAF was updating four tracks.
When I important the aaf into Logic—whether into a new or pre-existing project—regions appear at what look to be the right time indexes, and they appear to be the right length, but the waveform preview never fills in. All of the regions except one appear to be tied to a single audio file; the many of those very short files are apparently in a "Sample accurate edit.2" region that I can't find elsewhere in the project.
When I try to play the project, I quickly get a popup stating: "Error code -39 was returned by the Audio driver."

Any idea what's going on here? Is this a Logic importing AAF issue, a PT exporting AAF issue, or something else?

One of the problems PT has.. is that it has issues exporting AAF files if the file name or path.. contains what Avid describes as "Foreign Characters" (Or to be more accurate... They spell it 'Foreing Characters'!!)

This particular 'feature' has been one of many long standing bugs with PT and AAF exporting... Just do a quick google for "failed aaf export from Pro tools" without the quotes.. to see what I mean....

Receiver JMS ( websphere MQ ) error - No transition found from state:ERROR

Hi all
we are using JMS adapter to connect to the Queue manager . whenever the queue manager restarts , the messages is not getting thru and it is struck in the adapter engine with status " not to be delivered "
i am getting error in receiver communication channel audit log....its showing
*MP: Exception caught with cause com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: No transition found from state: ERROR, on event: process_commence for DFA: CC_JMS_XXXXXXXXX:15fa03eb9fd837849906f512610314c4*
note : already i have gone thur many forum and nothing helps.

If you are using the FCC then this could be because of that. What is the connection status with MQ? Are there any connection errors with MQ.
If you are using FCC in your Receiver JMS channel then just to confirm, first remove the FCC configuration and try to send a xml file. If the xml file goes in successfully then the problem is in your FCC configuration.

Error checking out files from TFS - error getting files: update.IsFullyPopulated(setFileTimeToCheckin)

My configuration:
- MAC Mini 2,8GHz i5, 8GB - OSX 10.10.3
- Eclipse Luna SR2 (4.4.2.20150219-0708)
- TFS plugin for Eclipse (12.0.2.201409181809)
I can connect to the TFS server and have created a mapping. When I do a "Get Latest Version", the console shows "Getting $/..." for many files until suddenly the checkout seems to hang. After a long wait I get the error message
Error getting files: update.isFullyPopulated(setFileTimeToCheckin)
It seems that the files have been retreived from TFS (they are in the mapped folder), however in the Source Control Explorer, all files are set to "Not Downloaded". In the .metadata folder, I can find a log showing the information below. Anyone
having similar problems and a solution to this particular issue?

How do i report an error downloading a song from Itunes (error = -100000)

I purchased a song from Itunes with a number of other songs, all other downloaded as usual, but this in particular restarts downloading up to three times and then gives the error = -100000, and a pop up message suggest "the file may be corrupted" and instructes me to try it later. I have tried a number of times and the result is the same. Is there a way to report the specific file to Itunes Store?

While I got genuinely concerend support, I didn't get this issue resolved. I'm noticing that more and more posts are popping up with the same error code so it may be a new issue. Good luck in getting yours fixed!

Error:" Failed to save package list! "while creating package

Hello
I m working in BPC 7.5 NW version.Here I am trying to create a package for the process chain /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER and /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_HIER,however when I am trying to save them to the package list, an error is popping up saying"Failed to save package list!".
Can anyone say me what would be the reason for such error, where can I debug and fix it?

Please check your Task profile whether all tasks in DM were given to your ID or not. So please check your
Security then try to save it. If still problem exists, please let us know so that we will try to explore it.

EPM configuration err - RegistryWizardState

While trying to configure the product the EPM configuration utility gave me the following error. "Failed to Navigate from RegistryWizardState: Error while initializing registry". Has anyone seen this one before?

I have not, but looks like others have:
EPM 11.1.2: Foundation Services config fails on Windows 2008 SP1 server.
You may also want to do a search on the Essbase Forums. I did a quick search for RegistryWizardState and it returned 7 threads.
