EPM report issue

I have 5 sheets full of EPM retrieve formual, since I need to  bring values in the specified cells.
Now at time each sheets is giving #RFR message inspite of refresh.
What is the cause of this? We are in SP 13.
Appreciate inputs.

The only thing I can recommend - just stop using EPMRetieveData functions, switch to static EPM report Static report in BPC NW 10

    Hi Experts,
    I have a few queries on creating EPM report:
    1. Sometimes, when I create a report, the report did not start on the first line / row of the excel sheet even though my cursor is on the first cell (column A, row 1). The report will start at a few lines below and I can't remove the empty lines above. No page axis selection is selected. Why is it happening?
    2. The EPM context contains default selection. In my sheet options, I have selected "Remove Empty and Zeros Values". 
    When I put selections of the dimensions in the EPM pane, the report on what I have selected will be displayed. If my selections does not exist (empty values), I am expecting nothing will be displayed in my report. However, the default selections of EPM context is displayed. Some more, in the report, the line contains the EPM context data is being hide. I am expecting nothing as the default selections of EPM context does not exist too (empty values). It should not display as I have selected "Remove Empty and Zeros Values".
    Appreciate if anyone can provide some feedback.

    1. No issues with first line (EPM SP17)
    2. Looks like it's by design - at least one column and one row of the report has to be present (even hidden).

  • The efficient way to repair broken EPM report

    Hi experts,
    I'm looking for the efficient way to repair broken EPM report.
    In following cases, the relevant EPM reports are broken and I can't push "Edit report" (gray out) and lose connection to model...
    i) In removing dimension from a model (ex. rename dimension ID, add & delete it)
    ii) in removing member which is located on page axis of EPM report.
    To avoid the situation, I make a point of taking following measures:
    i) - clean up the dimension that I want to delete from axis of EPM report before remove it from relevant model
    ii) - clean up the member from EPM report before removing it.
    However these measures terribly bothered me if number of relevant EPM reports is too large... If these reports can connect to model or be able to "Edit report", the work will be more efficient.
    Do you mind if you tell me a good idea?

    Here's the example in appearing issue ii).
    No i) is my misconception, sorry...
    in opening the broken EPM report:
    This dialog appears if the member that has already removed is located in pase axis. Unfortunately, this broken report isn't able to execute "Edit Report".
    My question is how I can repair the report by something to do. Please help me...

  • GR/IR GL Reporting Issue

    1. 30 documents of 2009 were matching and post with clear is perfomred. After performing post with clear also the line items are not moving from open line items. When we download the open line items as of today, these line items are appearing.
    2. When we download the ZBLRFIOI report for GRIR a/c 349100 to have the opne line items. we have some set of documents showing as " FI Open items without J2" - This is reporting issues.

    Pls try with F.13 for that GR/IR account 349100 by selecting check box select gl accounts
    And give Company code, year and pending document numbers in selection screen
    And before that pls make sure that OB74 clearing settings maintained or not
    It will clear all the open items exists

  • BW Reporting Issue

    Hi,
    I am facing one reporting Issue relating to Display Attributes.
    Characteristic: Business Partner
    Display Attributes: Address0, Address1, Address3...etc.
    Requirement is to display mentioned Display attributes along with Business Partner.
    For this I have selected Business Partner as characteristic and mentioned above three as display attributes to Business Partner.
    But Query out put is not showing Display attributes. For this I have done all settings at reporting level, all gone vain.
    I am using Bex 7.0.
    Kindly look in to the Issue and let me know the solution.

  • User report issues in 1.1.0.21.97

    A couple of issues i'm experiencing with user reports on Mac OS X in the latest pre-releas build
    first off, if I am asked for a password (first time I use the connection) there is no feedback if the connection fails (worng password for instance)
    The second problem I'm facing is every time I try to rerun a certain master-detail report I'm getting an NPE

    We have verified the connection error on the latest evaluation build is working as expected. i.e. if you supply wrong password you get alerted to that. This has been verified on the windows and Mac OS X. Please try the latest evaluation release 1.1.0.22.71.
    Your reports issue has also been addressed.

  • Empty rows, Columns  in EPM reports

    Thru the EPM new report creation ICON,  I am selecting rows and columns to create new report.
    I am selecting nearly 20 accounts in account selection most of them are parent account.
    However while displaying the report inbetween some of the accounts I need to leave empty rows and put some summation totals.
    Is it possible to leave many blank lines in between some of the accounts? How to do it?
    Similarly in the column I have selected time dimension and inbetween some months I need to put some local member formula.
    Does the EPM report works like that? Or do I have to go for EPMretrievedata based  reports.
    Appreciate inputs.

    I have EPM report created dynamically for all base level member of the hierarchy.However in the left most coumn, I need to show the top most parent of these base level account.How to achieve this in reporting? For example ....my current state is Account 1: Amount Account 2: Amount My future requirement is Parent of account 1: Account 1: Amount Parent of Account 2: Account 2: Amount Is it possible to achieive this in report. I have nearly 500 accounts depends on which parent Iam running the report for.How toachieve this in dynamic repot(not the EPM retrieve formula) based report. Appreciate inputs

    Hi there,
    I understand the set up of the report, but fail to understand the reason for the structure of the report being the way it is - especially because the folks who run the reports know the account structure.
    Anyways, as you know, in BPC reports we cannot have the same dimension show up more than once in the same axis.  You may however use a local member (for example, to retrieve the description for "Assets") and insert this local member before the column axis.  Hope this helps.

    Update 3/22 - the below issue has been resolved.
    It has come to our attention that certain Windows Phone download reporting aggregations are not matching. After investigation, we found an issue related to 11/1/14 – 11/9/14 transactions.  For example, if you chose an “All
    app” aggregation (6 month view) and compared it to “Monthly by app” aggregations (6 month view), the totals weren’t matching.  The root cause of the issue was due to the 11/1/14 – 11/9/14 data not being considered for all  of the available aggregations.
    We are scheduled to fix the issue today. 
    If you have transactions between 11/1/14 – 11/9/14, you will see an increase in the following aggregation totals once the fix is completed:
    Monthly aggregations (6 and 12 month views) by app and in-app aggregations
    Cumulative downloads – app and in-app aggregations
    Please note, this is strictly a download reporting issue.  There is no impact to any payout reporting or payout amounts.
    When the fix has been completed, I will update this post.

  • Inserting titles between multiple dynamic EPM reports

    Hi,
    I am currently working on some templates where there are multiple dynamic EPM reports with shared column dimensions and multiple dimensions in the rows.  I am using EPM Add-in SP21 patch 1.
    We would like to have a section title appearing between the reports, I have tried a number of methods but have not found a solution that produces quality results.
    Methods tried:
    1. A local member on the row inserted at the start of the second report.  The local member text appears in the right most row dimension column which is not the right place for a title.  Also the titles for the dimension rows are not copied.
    2. Insert a dummy member and override the member name.  There are a couple of problems with this method, subsequent dimension ID's are populated and local members are also applied to this member.
    3. EPMInsertCellsBeforeAfterBlock.  I only managed to get this to copy a single cell into the data columns, not the row dimension columns.
    4. Use VBA to add a title.  The API GetDataTopLeftCell will return the starting position of data in a specific report.  This can then be used to insert text into the previous line as a title.  The disadvantage here is that VBA is being used but it can be used to produce the required results though you need to handle formatting and any password protection within the VBA.
    I imagine that this is quite a common requirement.  Ideally I would like to solve this without resorting to VBA or some exotic workaround.
    Any suggestions appreciated.

    I want results similar to what I have achieved using VBA.  Where I have one row for column titles, which I am copying using Excel formulas, these should appear on every column including the dimension columns.  On the row above this should be a subsection title, in this example this is "Bezüger"
    The screen shots contain two reports, one below the other with shared column axis.  The second report has been shifted down by a couple of rows to introduce a break between the reports.
    Using VBA I inserted titles onto two rows, with a section title above a repeat of the original column header.
    The best that I have achieved using local members resulted in a title being on the right most column, and there being no way to put title column header above the dimension columns.
    I have played around with all the options for the local member but find no way to make the title appear in the left most column.
    In this screen shot, the local member is disabled, because I have replaced it with the VBA solution.
    I hope that the updated screen shots make this clearer to you.

  • Odd Reporting Issue (ENTERPRISE)

    I have a client with some users experiencing a rather odd reporting issue. The report runs fine, but only shows values for the totals and not the line items that make up the total.
    For example, when I run the report (logged in as admin as well as under their ID), I see:
    Net Sales 1,234
    Cost Of Sales (1,111)
    Gross Margin 123
    When they log in on their machine, they see:
    Net Sales
    Cost Of Sales
    Gross Margin 123
    Very odd. I figured maybe it was an application setting, but the INI didn't look off anywhere particular.
    They are running Enterprise 6.3.1 (yeah, insert comment here on the upgrade needed).
    Any thoughts???

    Check their Effective rights, and reset them, that has worked out for me. Otherwise, try copying the user and paste it as a new user and retest; I had to delete users and recreate them to correct problems of this nature.

  • Green spots in excel cell of epm reports

    I have greeen spots in the reports in all cells, where normal column member or local member column. This is in each cell in top left most part. This is normal epm report created with page,row,colum axis( it is not EPM retrieve report). What could be the reason and how to get rid of the error. Appreciate inputs..

    Thats is the excel problem, In the background it will check errors so that is enable you excel. in order to remove that goto Excel---> File-->options--->Formula---> uncheck there enable background error checking. then the green marks will disappear

    Just to be sure - is it possible to create EPM report in excel addin and show values by property of dimension? Let say, report which summarize values into account types: AST, LEQ, EXP and INC, only 4 rows and sums?

    As suggested by Vadim use Hierarchy to aggregation data, by using property you can do subtotal in template but displays the grouped members.

  • EPM Addin - Grey Edit Report Issue

    Even after applying KB3025036  fixit for MS office 2010 or 2013, still the problem exists for SAP EPM addin. It is a big show stopper and not allowing for next steps
    MSoffice 2010 and 2013 - Issue still persists.
    After installing Microsoft security updates, the following issues are encountered in the EPM Add-in (10.X) and BPC for Excel (7.X) products:
    'Edit Report' is grayed out
    Context options are grayed out
    The EPM pane shows no connection for current report
    Refreshing the report has no effect
    Journal options are grayed out
    It is not possible to open an EPM Add-in report
    The following error is displayed: EPM - General Error: Unable to get the Object property of the OLEObject class

    We have definitely heard your frustration, and Microsoft understands the position our customers are in and we are actively working to find a solution besides a FixIt that can be deployed to remedy the issue.
    We can also remove the MS14-082 Microsoft Office Security Updates for December 2014 by temporary bypassing this issue.
