EPM system Installer 11.1.2.2 is not allowing to install all Products
Hi All,
I am trying to Install EPM system 11.1.2.2 in Solaris machine, but in the Product Selection it is allowing to select only "Foundation Services" and all other Product Components are disabled.
Note:
EPM System Prerequisites check is showing that all prerequisites are okay.
This is the New Installation and no existing EPM installation is there in this box.
Have used the same assemblies in other Solaris box and it is working fine there. Please advice what can be the prospected reason for it.

Hi,
Have you extracted all the product components assemblies to the same folder from where you are launching the installTool.cmd/.sh?
The products that are grayed out is because you don't have zip files or assemblies extracted to that folder??
So try extracting all the product components zip files to the folder and then launch the installtool.cmd/.sh.
I am sure that you will then be able to select and instakll the products ..

I am starting to install version 11.
The Hyperion EPM System Installer Prerequisites shows an error on the first installer screen:
"Hostname resolved to an IP address".
Did anyone face this error?
I´ve checked the help button and found following tip:
"If you are using a hosts file to resolve your hostname, the host name resolves to the first entry in your hosts file. To prevent potential communication problems in a distributed environment, make sure that the first entry in your hosts file is the machine's fully qualified domain name so that the fully qualified name is stored in the Shared Services Registry."
How can I resolve this issue on my virtuell mashine?

thank you and regardsWe've seen this as well - and the web client is not supported in IE 9 - it's only supported in: Internet Explorer 6.0, , Internet Explorer 7.x, Internet Explorer 8.x, and Firefox 2.0.x.
Considering that IE 9 is being pushed out as an automatically selected important update and Firefox is up to v4.x (Firefox 2.0.x is not even supported anymore), this has already caused us a huge headache. -

i have tried to download version11.1 to my itunes so that I can transfer all my info to my new iphone 5 c i am using an imac operating system 10.6.8 OSX it will not allow me to download this !
What error message ar eyou getting. Why do you say it will not allow you to download?

EPM Add-in for BPC 10.0 NW not able to install

I am using BPC 10.0, EPM SP 16.1. Everything was working fine.
I had to install some windows updates. The updates wasn't helpful for all applications. So I have uninstalled IE 10.0 updates.
No I have IE 9.
After uninstalling the windows updates I am not able to install the EPM add-in. I am not getting any installtion errors.
However, it is not visible in the BPC Home page. Still showing "Install EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office" under 'Planning and Consolidation Administration" in the launch pad.
I think I am missing some required MS office or .Net4 SPs. But not sure which one.
Your valuable ideas/suggestions are most welcome.

Kindly un-install the EPM Addin from Control panel and Again Reinstall it
along with the EPM Addin.exe, also run the patch .msp file (provided in the setup)
and also make sure u have the Microsoft Office (32 bit version) only

I am planning to install EPM 11.1.1.1 in a distributed environment. I have one XP machine and two Windows 2003 machines. Can anybody please tell me which components of EPM I put in which machine? Where should I put 11g database and Oracle Application Server 10g?? A response will be appreciated.

Im making a song on Garageband and I have recorded guitar, drums recorded on the musical keyboard, and vocals. It now says this, and won't play. Ive worked so hard on this and I don't know how to fix it. I am not very skilled or knowledgable in computers and barely know how to operate Garageband as it is. I have many different tracks in this song for different drums and beats. Please someone tell me how to fix this, I'm not even finished it! And again I am not very informed on how to work computers as well as most of you are, just saying. thanks!!!

If there is not enough RAM, OS X temporarily stores RAM data on the harddrive and tries to retrieve it back into RAM when needed, unfortunately that is so slow that GB throws an error as it cannot play it all in real time. -
EPM system workspace showing no applications
Hi,
We have installed and configured EPM foundation Services, Financial Management and reporting. After configuration was successful, from the workspace page, it shows no application.
Please let us know if we are missing any steps to display the application.
Navigation:
hostname:9000/workspace/index.jsp -> login -> Navigate -> Applications -> "No application"

Step 1: Installed Database in linux
Step 2: Create schema hfm
Step 3: Downloaded EPM(part 1/2/3/4/5/6/7) on Windows
Step 4: Extracted all parts to one single folder
Step 5: Ran Installtool-auto from extracted folder for EPM system Installer
Step 6: On Installer window, selected Foundation Services,Financial Management and Reporting and Analysis
Step 7: After System Installer, clicked Configure button for EPM System configure
Step 8: Installed Financial reporting tool.exe
Step 9: Installed smartview.exe

While installing Oracle Database 'win64_11gR1_database_11070' on Windows Server 2008 R2,x64, I get this error during Product specific pre-requisite checks:
"The Operating system Windows Vista Version 6.1 is not supported. Install the recommended service pack"

Im trying to create the process chain in BW-Production System . Like im trying to delete the PSA data for one datasource in BI7.0 .
Im using the 'Delete requests from the PSA' process type in the process chain . When i try to give the datasource name and source system name in the variant of 'Delete requests from the PSA' process type and save them , then it is saying that

Since you are trying to create process chain in production system.
Normally production system wont be open for development at any time. Why the system settings does not allow changes was, your production is not modifiable state.
Check the settings in SE06. system would be non-modifiable for sure.
in SCC4, settings ->"changes to the cross customizing objects would be not allowed"
These two settings/configurations would not allow any development or changes or edit or create in production.
Please check with your basis folks and proceed further.

First I get: VLD-2771: System privileges may not allow extraction from source Product.
Then if i ignore the warning and deploy, i get
ORA-06550: line 15, column 18:
PL/SQL: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
I have a public database link to the sql server database.
When I create the mapping, I am able to see the tables and create the map. So why this problem when deploying. Which user is to be granted access to the source tables. I belive we cannot grant access to remote database tables using a database link. So what is the work around?

I have installed EPM system V11.1.2.2 in single server environment (MS 2008 Server R2) with following components:
* Foundation Services
* HFM
* FDM
Have used embedded Weblogic server as application web server and Oracle HTTP server as web server. The installation was successful.
While configuration,
1) I selected the option to deploy web applications SharedServices and Workspace to a single managed server. The applications got successfully deployed to EPMServer0.
2) Also, I selected to configure Oracle HTTP server as web server.
Both these steps were successful.
But SharedServices and Workspace URL's are not working. Getting 404 error.
SharedServices : http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000/interop/index.jsp
Workspace : http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000/workspace/
When I checked Weblogic admin console, EPMServer0 is in SHUTDOWN state, tried to start it but it goes in ADMIN state instead of RUNNING.
Checked EPMServer0 log at "D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs" and found the error given at the end of this message.
Can anyone please suggest a solution for this.

* Uninstalled EPM system V11.1.2.2 completely and after rebooting the server installed EPM system V11.1.2.2 again.
* During configuration, deployed SharedServices and Workspace to single managed server EPMServer0 on Weblogic server and configured to Oracle HTTP server as web server. Configuration seems successful.
* Started EPM system.
* checked Weblogic admin console - EPMServer0 goes into ADMIN state from STARTING.
* Checked EPMServer0 logs at "D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs" and found the error given below:

EPM system security is not initialized properly
Hi,
We are in the process of installing 11.1.2.2 on Windows 2008 server.
Step 1. we installed Foundation Service, Reporting and FM
Step2. 1st did configuration of foundation service and Performance Management Architect
Result - Successful. Was able to login to workspace ans shared service
Step 3. 2nd we Configured Financial Management.
Configuration was successful.
All services are running but we are not able to login into workspace.
We are geting following error in log file of HyS9EPMServer
"EPM system security is not initialized properly"
Any help will be appreciated.

We did run Foundation Service --> Configure Web Server after configuring HFM module. It was susccessful.
After that we run "Start EPM System". Then everything stopped.
While installing HFM in 2nd leg on "Configure Database" screen we selected "Perform first-time configuration of database".
Entered username HFM.
We noticed that after installation EPMSystemRegistry-jdbc got changed.
Path is C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\config\jdbc\EPMSystemRegistry-jdbc.xml
<value>HSS</value> got changed to <value>HFM</value>
I are not sure but I think we should have selected "Connect to a previously configured database".
I am going to install it again and will update the forum.

I am trying to open EPM System Configurator but getting error:
"The Vital Product Data registry is in use by another installer. Please start this installer after the other installtion is complete."
I am not installing the EPM system. It is already installed. I am just trying to open EPM System Configurator by Start--All Programs--EPM System--Foundation Services-- Start EPM System Configurator
I am not running any othe installer. I tried restarting the system also but again I am getting the same error.
Please help me with this error.

Hi Experts,
I have Installed EPM 11.1.2.1 with ESSBASE,HFM,PLANNING,FDQM.While Iam going for launching the Epm system Configurator it is unable to launch for Configuration.It is throwing error like
Fatal Error:Windows\System32\system32 not present in path wait for 30....
Please give me suggestions in detail becuase i am new to this Epm 11.1.2.1 Installation

Just looking the issue and needed some more information to know the cause...
Have you installed HFM 11.1.2.1 for 32 bit or 64 bit ?
If you have installed 32 bit... than have created environment variables as defined in installation guide.
