EPM11 Impossible to install and make run properly

Hi all,
I have made several attempts to install EPM11 on my box (XP, 4GB RAM)
After every unsuccessfull try I have uninstalled all components and deleted the entire Hyperion directory. Rebooted then the maschine.
There are a lot of not understandable issues that I found:
1. No Sample Apps has been installed except one with a strange name ($..). Sample Apps has been allways installed in older version - so only this seems to be a bug.
2. Finally in my latest attempt (after rebooting when the hss has been installed and confirured) I was able to register essbase to hss. In all priviously attemts (without reboot) allready this failed.
3. No Excel-Add-On is aviable after installation. And when I register it out from Excel nevertheless nothing happens when I try the connect menue.
4. When I'm in hss-Console and go to the Essbase-Server-Prohekt then my DB (Oracle11gR1) trurns hight up to 50% of proseccor. Afterwards it is impossible to something else with EPM.
5. Essbase Visual Explorer brings me an: Error initializing the Esbase API (Errorcode 1030725)
Question:
Has anyone ever been able to install the EPM11 in combination with a Oracle11gR1 Repossitory successfully.
Should not everything goes better with the new installer ?
Actuelly it seems more to be in a mess.
I'm really a bit despaired and helpless.

Sir/Ma'am, If you're going to install the entire EPM 11.1.1 (Client tier, Web Tier, Service tier), I suggest you use Windows Server 2003 or the likes. Never use a 32 bit OS like XP.
If you only want to install the client tier, then you won't have any problems with Windows XP.
Also, make sure that you install IIS 6.0 or higher on your Windows Server 2003 for EPM 11.1.1 to be installed successfully.

My first two thoughts
• Shared to Media Browser - BUT as Large or HD - try Medium !
• audio from iTunes - use to go silent
- in iTunes
- Create a new PlayList with needed audio
- BURN this as a standard Audio-CD (.aiff) - NOT .mp3
- use the files on this CD in Your Movie project - I ALWAYS DO - and only use .aiff ever - never .mp3'
My notes on this:
No audio on DVD disc.
Most common origin.
1. Imported audio from iTunes.
• In iTunes copy out as an Audio-CD .aiff (Same as played on standard Stereo CD - no .mp3)
• Use this in Your movie project
2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser
(iM’08 & 09)
3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as Large
large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provoking it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.
Minuscular - - 176x144
Mobile - - - - - 480x360
Medium - - - - 640x480
Large - - - - - - 720x540 960x540
HD - - - - - - - - 1280x720
4. Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
• Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
5. Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why

Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies — except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format — that I have noticed.
7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
Before burning the DVD.
• Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
• Double click on the .img file
• Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
• In iDVD 08 - or - 09
• Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
• OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

I like to install and make to work efront learning management system. Do anyone knowsthe steps i have to do? The only i did and was unsuccesfuly is to download unzip and put the folder in the libraries-webserver-documents and try from the browser putting the address http://mydomain.com/efront/www/install/install.php

If it has more than one OS installed you use either System Preferences>Startup Disk, or hold the Option/alt key at bootup to select which one.

I keep downloading Firefox 8.0 onto my computer but it still shows that I am running 3.5.6 (something like that). How do I get the downloads to actually install and then run?

found a fix... had this today.
I deleted FirefoxExtensionsSetup within this folder:
HD/Applications/Adobe Contribute CS5.1/SupportFiles/FireFoxExtension
Then Firefox worked.

Please tell me the Tips to install jdeveloper 12c at my system so that I could use my oracle forms and reports as well as Jdeveloper.For this should I install jdeveloper with seperate weblogic server. you should use the JDeveloper version matching the WLS version of your Forms installation. E.g. WLS 10.3.6 --> JDeveloper 11.1.1.6. JDeveloper 12c is set up with JDK 7 by default and JDeveloper 11g with JDK 6. So creating PJC in 12c has a the risk of minor major version mismatches when running the PJC in Forms as your Java Plugin for sure wont be of JRE 7

(I downloaded "2.0 - Final release" class files. It installed "J2EE.jar")

Can I install and/or run Photoshop Elements 12 Offline (behind Proxy)?

Due to the setup of our network at work, the machine that requires photoshop elements 12 doesn't have internet access. Can I:
- Install PS Elements 12 without the internet ?
- Run PS Elements 12 without the internet. I also want to ensure that PSE12 doesn't need to "phone home". I'll need to disable this so the user is never prompted ?
I have internet access on other machines that I can use to activate the key if needed, but consider the computer that requires the software completely offline.
I need confirmation of this from a Adobe rep before I can purchase the software. Thanks.

PSE 12 requires you to have an Internet Connection at least once when you are installing it so that you can register the product and activate it. After this process is complete, you don't need Internet connection unless you want to update it on a periodic basis (say once every 6 weeks). This is only for the updates; So if you are not bothered with updates then you don't need Internet Connection.

How do Install and make FFmpeg work with Video DownloadHelper?

I use FireFox v.29 in Windows XP; I installed Video DownloadHelper. I want to convert the videos as soon as I download them. In the preferences of the extension there's a box that says "enable conversion". As I check that box I'm asked to install an external application to do that. I press the button that says "install/update converter". This opens a page of the official site of Video Download helper. It says I need to install FFmpeg to convert the videos. I go to ffmpeg.org to download it, the download page tells me I must dowload it from http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/. So I donwload the 32-bit static build and I extract its files from the compressed folder.
That's as far as I go. There's no installation file inside; there are three executable files inside: ffmpeg,exe, ffplay.exe, and ffprobe.exe. I've opened all three of them and entered the Video DownloadHelper preferences after that. The problem is that when I try once again to check the box for "enable conversion" I'm once again told that I have to install the external application. What am I doing wrong?
In the official site of Video DownloadHelper there are a step by step explanation but for another converter: ConvertHelper, so they aren't really helpful.

How can I have Firefox 4.0 and a 64 bit version of Minefield installed and make them use separate profile folders?-thanks

I have been using Minefield, the beta version of Firefox 4 , in a 64 bit version. Since the final Firefox 4.0 doesn't seem to have a 64 bit version, I want to keep Minefield, but still would like to try Firefox 4.0. FF4 uses after installation automatically the Minefield profile folder, which leads to problems , mainly because both browsers are not compatible with the same versions of Add-ons. How can I keep them both but make each use its own profile folder?

Thanks. I tried this and it actually works for the desktops shortcuts but when I pin the modified shortcut to the task bar and try to start either of the two firefox versions from there, the profile manager shows up and asks which profile I wanna use.
Is there a way to fix this?

Itunes update wont install --error is "run prescript for apple mobile device support"

I am running 10.5.8 and trying to update Itunes to 10.6. It hangs on the install and says "run prescript for apple mobile device support"....I've tried numerous times and it always reverts to this message. Ideas?

11g demo install and missing WLS_FORMS\stage folder

What would cause the stage folder under C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\ClassicDomain\servers\WLS_FORMS to get created?
I have 11.1.1.3 frpd installed and am running forms successfully from the 11.1.1.3 Forms builder with WLS 10.3.3. But I don't have this stage folder and the 11g forms demo instructions say to put frmjdapi.jar in ....\stage\formsapp\11.1.1\formsapp\formsweb.war\WEB-INF\lib and to edit weblogic.xml in ....\stage\formsapp\11.1.1\formsapp\formsweb.war\WEB-INF.
A search for weblogic.xml turned up several copies but all are under WLS_FORMS\tmp. The closest I found is C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\ClassicDomain\servers\WLS_FORMS\tmp\_WL_user\formsapp_11_1.1\e18uoi\war\WEB-INF. That's not the right place is it?

The answer is yes, use the tmp folder instead of the stage folder specified in install instructions.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 8007054F, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

The AID of the applet is A0 00 00 00 62 03 01 0C 01 01.
Then I tried to install the application and make it selectable.
The application AID I used is A0 00 00 00 62 03 01 0C 01 02.
So I sent the APDU to the card as follows:

But the respose is 6A 80,which means incorrect data.

What card do you have there? Is it supporting Install[for install and make selectable]? If this command is supported, I see three possible reasons:
- Install parameter tag C9 is missing (LTL '02C900')
- Install Token is not supported (length set to '01' ?)
- Default selected indicated, but another applet is already default selected

Reinstalled from Install and Restore Disc

My PB G4 was delivered in 2005 with 10.4 installed and was running 10.4.11 before I decided to start over. Reinstalled and wish I had done it some time ago, but the OS disc installed 10.3 and maxed out at 10.3.9 after 19 updates from Apple.
How do I get to 10.4.11 again? Will the app be on my Home Back Up, or is this more likely a trip to the Genius Bar? Thanks much. ~Jeff

You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.

Tiger v10.4 is not an application, it's the Mac OS X operating system.
Probably best to visit the Genius Bar.

First of all, when I started the computer first time after installing Mountain Lion, some message advised me that some files were impossible to install. Once I wrote my password, and for now on, everytime I start the session, another window advise me that "Java SE 6" is missing, due that, the computer can't run some "CS5Service Manager". If I try to install it, the download ends with an error. If finally, you skip the istallation, you arrive to the dock, but the menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't show up.
In addition, my trackpad doesn't works either. I can move the arrow but i can't click anywhere, probably because the option of clicking by touching is disabeled and I can't performance a regular click.
I'll be very glad if someone know what the heck is happening with my computer. Anyway, I'm going to the genius bar next Saturday. Thx!
