Epma 11.1..2.0 Interface tables created but could not find the dimension
Epma gurus, interface tables (4) for Dimension account are copied to Account1 (4) tables, after copying in the Datasource,
creating a new profile
In 11.1.2.3 the data source configuration should be available in Workspace, have a read of Configuring Interface Data Sources

"Could not find the application that created this file" error when trying to combine files
I am working with a user that is trying to combine a pdf & word doc (docx). When they try to combine the files she gets the error: "Could not find the application that created this file" & "Please select a file created by an application that resides on your computer". The computer is running windows XP, with office 2010 SP1, & Adobe Acrobat Pro X.
Per previous suggestions, I have already checked to see if Adobe PDFMaker is enabled as a Word plugin, and it is.
Recentley the user was running Acrobat 6, and this error did not occur. It is only after upgrading to Acrobat X that this is happening. Any help with this issue would be appreciated.This can also be caused if the files are in a folder deep in the file system. For example C:/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy/zzzzzzz/aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa/bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb /cccccccccccccccccccc/dddddddddddddddd/eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee/ffffffff/ggggggg/hhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhh/myPDF.pdf
At some point Adobe PDFMaker cannot handle the path length (also, Windows can't handle the path length either eventually)
Solution: move the files to a shorther path (perhaps the desktop) and try from there.
I am filing a bug report with Adobe. A descriptive exception message should be thrown instead of "could not file the app.." -
Hello,
I am working with Acrobat Pro 8 and am trying to create a pdf by converting a word doc. When I try that, I keep getting an error message, " Could not find the application that created this file...please select a file created by an application that resides on your computer." I can always convert a word into pdf first and then insert it into the pdf project that I am working on, however I have multiple files and I really would like to bypass that long step.
I found another thread in this forum which talks about a simillar issue (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/429585).I tried the solution suggested there by Bill@vt regarding the print menu. I am not really sure if t have distiller installed, so I tried opening it in acrobat, but it failed. During the process, I got the follwing message "Check the Status column for a list of files that could not be printed".I do not have any clue how to check for AcroTray running in the background.
I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks!If Distiller failed to open, it sounds like you need to do a repair of your Acrobat installation. Have not heard that one before!

Create New gives an error "Could not find the user document directory"
Fresh installed Adobe Edge Animate CC (2014). When I try to Create New, I get an Error popup "Could not find the user document directory"
I think this worked!
I just downloaded an example file and tried opening from outside of the program. At first it gave me some errors but then loaded it up.
After that I've re-saved it and now I can create new files and open files.
Before that I also uninstalled old CC programs that were not showing in the Adobe Creative Cloud apps. -
Could Not Find The Application That Created This File
Hello Community,
I have already been to the Acrobat forum with this post and they re-directed me to this forum.
My problem seems to be with a InDesign file that will not export to a PDF, nor can I create the PDF from within Acrobat itself. BTW I have Acrobat 8.1.6 on a Vista OS.
Here is what I've done thus far:
restarted my computer, which didn't correct anything
printed the InDesign file to the PDF printer unsuccessfully
Checked for InDesign and Acrobat updates and found I'm current with the updates
Please NOTE: I have no problem with creating a PDF with either a Word or Illustrator file; it's the InDesign file that's giving me a problem. The message I get when I try to export from within InDesign to a PDF file is "Could not find the application that created this file; please select a file created by an application that resides on your computer."
Please help. Thank you very much.Hi John,
Before replying to you, I decided to give it another go. This time out, I
was finally able to export the InDesign file, which I created, to a PDF.
Hooray!
I have found, in the past, that restarting my computer will clear something
in my system, and then I can create the PDF. Sometimes this inability to
create a PDF happens in Word. But this time around it was InDesign that was
the problem file.
Maybe it has something to do with the preferences menu. I'll have to check
this out. Otherwise, all is fine. Thanks for answering.--Pat -
I recently updated to the OSX 10.8.3 Operating Sistem. I am writing a book and now cannot open any word document I've created with the old system. Could not find a newer version of the Microsoft Word Processing Program. Is Pages the next thing? Can I recover my documents? How?
I'm in the same boat: new to OS X and Mac, and in the middle of a book. I switched because I heard about the the ease of using Mac, but so far, for me, it's been a nightmare. I bought 2011 Office Mac and hate everything about it, the most recent being the inability to open or cut or paste any of my original word files. I understand that this could have easily been done with earlier versions, but not Mountain Lion (which I learned is what OSX is.) Since I work with language, I am amazed at the assumptions of the Apple community. It helps to use common language and explain even the basics.
So all the helpful hints to use the latest version of Office Mac are to no avail. Now what? -
Could not find the ColdFusion component or interface
I don't know what else to try. I have created a fully functional ORM CRUD application that is working perfectly when I have the mapping cfc located in the root folder with the index.cfm file that is using it. However, as soon as I move the mapping cfc into the "ORM" folder that is in the root folder and add the cfclocation attribute all I ever get is that it can't find the component or interface. To make sure that it works and I don't have any strange errors I have (in the index.cfm file) instanciated it using createObject with a path of "orm.HistoricalEvents" and then dump it to the screen and that works just fine as well. Below is my setup and directory structure. If anyone has any suggestions i would love to hear them. I love the ORM capabilities and want to use them but I don't want to have a pile of mapping cfcs just sitting in the root folder.
Setup:
Windows 7 Enterprise, 64 bit
IIS 7.5
File Directory/IIS Physical Path: C:\WebDev\DevGamma
Virtual Directory under IIS Default Web Site: /DevGamma
ColdFusion Developer Edition > Standard Installation > All IIS Websites
ColdFusion Directory Location: C:\ColdFusion9
CFIDE Directory Location: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\CFIDE
Folder Structure:
[root]
/orm
HistoricalEvents.cfc
Application.cfc
index.cfm
Application.cfc
component
this.name = "CF/1 Application Generator16";
this.version = 1.0;
this.datasource = "fw1testdsn";
this.sessionmanagement = true;
this.ormenabled = true;
this.ormsettings = {
autorebuild="true",
dialect="MicrosoftSQLServer",
dbcreate="update",
cfclocation="orm"
HistoricalEvents.cfc
component persistent="true" table="HistoricalEvents"
property name="EventID" fieldtype="id" ormtype="int" generator="identity";
property name="EventDate" ormtype="date";
property name="EventTitle" ormtype="string" length=250;
property name="EventLocation" ormtype="string" length=50;
property name="EventType" ormtype="string" length=30;
property name="EventRating" ormtype="short";
property name="IsPositiveEvent" ormtype="boolean";
index.cfm
<cfset data = EntityToQuery(entityLoad("HistoricalEvents"))>
<cfdump var="#data#">
If anyone needs more information please let me know. If you have any suggestions please send them my way. I want to use ORM but this is killing me and is a deal breaker if I can't get the cfclocation thing to "see" my components. Thanks!
JasonI wholeheartedly agree it seems hacky. I had a very similar issue and added the path to the model (mapping cfc) on to my application.cfc's this.customTagPaths list and it suddenly started working.
It seems to me.... that if you specify a cfclocation.... it should..... Just Work. One man's opinion.
See this post where I detail my problem for why I think it can locate the file itself even, but just doesn't know how to handle it: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/coldbox/dFMG5PB6wn4 -
When create heirarchy, can not find the entry which is in master data
Hi, SDNs
When create a heirarchy for a char , click this char button to add a fields to a node, i can't search the value which is actually in the master data.
Thansk for your timeIf you go to create hierararchy or change mode of hierarchy
3 types of nodes you can create
1)Text node
2)Charecteristic node
3)Infoobject values node
text node - is simple any text node you can create
infoobject values node - if the master data is loaded you can create it
if master data is loaded make sure its activated and no master data is under "M" version.
charecteristic node - only if particular infoobject node is included in the tab "external chars in hierarchies" in RSD1 of that particular infoobject
Hope it Helps

Could not find the application that created this file Acrobat Pro XI and .pptx file
Hi,
I just installed Acrobat Pro XI and I am trying to combine files into one pdf. The combine feature works fine with Word, excel, other pdfs but does not work with powerpoint files (.pptx). I have searched and found others have been having this issues for many past versions. I found a workaround (print the powerpoint to pdf and then merge the files) but I should not have to do it that way. Can someone help me out? Powerpoint is installed on my computer, the print pdf function works, and the Adobe add-in is active (these are the 3 solution I keep encountering) but it still will not combine a powerpoint file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
SteveHi Stephen ,
Could you please elaborate a bit more that what exactly happens when you try to combine .pptx file?
Do you get any error message?
If yes ,please share the screen shot of the same.
Are you facing challenge with the powerpoint files only?
I have tried the same on my end and it is working perfectly fine .
Try updating your Acrobat to the latest version .
Launch Acrobat>Navigate to Help>Check for Updates .

I need help here. Saved events/projects are not visible or listed when I reopen FCP X. Tried to open from the event folder don't seem to work.
I'm using MacOS X 10.6.8 and just bought FCP X 10.1.
Help.No. I'm not using two hard drives. Files saved on MacBook Pro HDD. Only time I use the second HD is for backup but while working on FCP X.
This is unclear.
Do you have another HD with FCP X projects and / or events?
If you do (whether it's a backup or not) it will cause the exact problem you described. Make sure any other drives with FCP X events or projects are turned off before you launch FCP X.
If you don't have a second drive with events or projects, I suggest you try trashing your preferences.
Faults like this can sometimes be fixed by clearing out FCP X's preferences (for some reason, they get knotted up from time to time).
Download Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager (free, simple to use, and quite safe).
http://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/
With Pref Manager, you can backup the Prefs first, then if trashing makes no difference, you can restore all your settings.
If you trash them and don't restore them, you will need to go over your FCP X settings again, so it's a great idea to backup Preferences from time to time when FCP X is working well, then you can ditch the bad prefs and restore from your (Digital Rebellion) backup.

Thks Bob. No. I'm not using two hard drives. Files saved on MacBook Pro HDD. Only time I use the second HD is for backup but while working on FCP X. I'm getting very frustrated whenever I return to work on the video to find the file 'missing'. I know its there but it's just not showing up on the Event Browser. Sigh!!
How come you marked your own post as "Correct Answer" when all it does is tell Bob he's wrong? This will mislead people.

I am trying to work with Application settings. I would just like to put together a very simple example of using these, but I can't get the most basic example to work. Virtually every tag regarding the new Settings produces an Error "Could not find the schema information for the element "applicationSettings". or the element "Settings" etc. etc. I am not using IIS, this is not a Web Project, and I am not working with User Settings. Just simple read-only Application Settings. I've read every MSDN page regarding this subject, I don't see that I am missing a reference - HELP !!!
REPRODUCING THE PROBLEM:
Step 1. Create a new C# solution and Windows Forms project.
Step 2. Add a reference to System.configuration
Step 3. Right click the project, choose Properties, then Settings.
Step 4. Using the Settings Designer, create ONE setting called "MySetting" as a String with the value "MyValue".
RESULT: Observe the Errors like these, complaining about all of the Settings tags and elements.
Message 1 Could not find schema information for the element 'applicationSettings'.
Message 2 Could not find schema information for the element 'LoadOriginalLists.Properties.Settings'.
Message 3 Could not find schema information for the element 'setting'.

</configuration>Ummmm... okay so these are Messages that are in the Error List. Whether or not they are actually Errors is debatable. They are in the Error List, so they are errors.
The application runs, so my question is slightly changed to the following.
I would like to use Application Settings. However, having settings in my app.config pollutes my Error List with a bunch of meaningless messages like "Could not find the schema information for...". These messages then hide real errors.
Am I missing some setting or is there something I can do to make Visual Studio not show me these messages? -

Create a query to find the open PO
Hi all,
I want to create a query to find the Open PO which GR is not complete or Open invoice.
But I don't know how can I get the value: still to be invocied ,still to be delivery .
I want to know which table I can find these information.
I know a T-code :ME2L can run this report, but the format is not user friendly,so I want to create a new query .Hi
No need to create any query to find an Open PO.
You can use ME2N or ME2L or ME2N with proper scope of list and selection parameter.
In scope of list you can use the ALV one to get the user friendly report, if you do not have the ALV then you can
create your own scope of list by following the steps.
1) press F1 and click on the customizing icon
2) Click the button W/O specifying the project
3) Click Define scope of list
4) Copy any scope of list for example BEST and rename it as BEST_ALV and Tick the check box AL on the Bottom
5) You can get this new scope of list in the tcods mentioned above and execute thereports.
6) Once you get the output you can modify the layoout to get the user friendly format. Also you can download into excel sheet.
Hope it helps

Use a PDF file for so many times
Hi there, I am at the moment researching a requirement for a client. They want to be able to issue a number of documents, where they can fill out the forms and print them, but this to only happen say 15-20 times before the document becomes unusable.
-
Suddenly, I cannot print any webpages.
Printing icon appears on toolbar but nothing happens, and page does not go to pending document queue [sp?]. I am able to print webpages using Internet Explorer; I can also print Word documents. Printing test also confirms my printer is working.
