EPMA hierarchy management to Planning

I have created hierarchies in EPMA. When they are deployed to Planning, none of the UDAs are included in the Planning application or the Essbase database. I have added the UDA dimension to the Planning application and added the UDAs to the correct members in the Accounts dimension. Anybody have any idea where to look to figure out why the UDAs are not getting pushed to Planning?

I know it has been a couple months but I have reproduced this issue. Did you get anything from Oracle Support?
I am running EPM 11.1.1.2 with patch 01 released July 15. I am using the EPMA ads file generation utility. All of my dimensions are shared with the exception of two Smart Lists. I added UDAs to my Accounts dimension, added the dimension association, imported the changes and deployed to Planning. The UDA shows up as available in the dimension library but is not assigned to any member and shows up nowhere in Planning or Essbase.
<Side Note> Does anyone else miss the old days when we simply assigned UDAs directly in Essbase? </Side Note>

I believe this happens when you have a problem with your datasources or instances, if you have two conflicting ones then the process manager will not start up.
Can you check your planning instances and datasources and remove any duplicates or ones that could be conflicting.

Optimal configuration of laptop in order to install EPMA 11.1.x (Planning & Essbase), VM Ware.

I am planing to buy a new laptop and looking for optimal configuration of laptop in order to install EPMA 11.1.x (Planning & Essbase) to be run on VM Ware.

I have an old Lenovo W520 with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB Samsung Evo 840 SSD. I have Planning, Essbase, EPMA, FR, Calc Manager and Oracle 12c running (version 11.1.2.4) on Windows Server 2012 R2.
16GB of RAM will allow you to run a compact deployment, but probably not a "regular" deployment. I don't like compact deployments as they can make it difficult to troubleshoot issues with individual products.
I recommend 32GB of RAM. I also recommend an SSD rather than a regular hard drive. Quad-core processor is a must-have.
I would look at either a Lenovo W541 (not the new W550s as it tops out at 16GB of RAM) or a Dell Precision M4800 or M6800. If you really want to go nuts, check out Digital Storm/Clevo/Sager, where you can custom build your laptop. These three appear to use the same components.

Multiple EPMA Engine Manager

Hi All,
We're using EPMA to manage dimensions in several ASO and Planning applications. Currently we are having problems with deployment due to a large number of members in the Entity dimensions (100k including alt hierachies). I'm looking for a way to load balance EPMA to minimize deployment failure. So far, I've vertical cluster (add 1 more JVM) to the EPMAWebServer component running on Oracle AS. However, this is still not sufficient since deployment kept failing which will only work after several server restarts. In the installation docs, I found out that it's possible to install Engine Manager on a separate server. Does anyone know if this will help with our performance / deployment issue? Also, are there specific installation steps for this? I can't seem to find anything in the installation docs. We're running EPMA 11.1.1.3.

This is possible.You have to configure two connection points pointing to each of them. The TAFR has to be configured to Subscribe from one of them and publish to another.
Please give more information on your requirement. What difficulty you are facing on doing so?

We dont have any issues with other templates. All are working fine.
But at the time of saving Development Template in Config Define Process Periods and Groupings,we got an error message as below

Despite the error message the Development template still got saved. Is this an issue ?

EPMA process manager service is not starting

Hi gurus,
I'm working on Hyperion v-11.1.1.3 and in that i'm not able to start the EPMA process manager.It is throwing an error message as
The Hyperion EPM Architect - ProcessManager service on local Computer started and then stopped
Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the performance Logs and Alerts Service.

I have reconfigured, retyping the correct user and password many times now. I can log into the database from the server using SQL Plus with no issues. If anyone has an idea of what could be wrong, I would really appreciate the help.

I had the DBA create me a new empty database user. I ran the config tool again using this user/pwd and selected first time configuration of database. This finished successfully, 213 objects were created in the database. When I try to start the dimension server, I am still getting the ORA-1017 error.

LCM: Foundation Calc Manager vs Planning Rules Files

I need to LCM rules files and see the rules in 2 different places, Foundation -> Calc Manager and Planning -> Rules Files. Which one is the correct file from which to LCM, and what is the difference between them?
Also, files that were brought in via LCM show under Planning -> Rules Files but NOT under Foundation -> Calc Manager. Why would this be?

For this you need to understand the underlying design. Unlike HBR, which acted as the Rules repository, in Calc Manager, rules need to be deployed to Planning from Calc Manager. Once the rule is deployed to Planning, it (Planning) maintains the copy of the rule in it's repository. You can continue to make changes to your rules in calc manager and it will not have any effect on the rule in Planning.
So during LCM, you will the rules in 2 places, one in Calc Manager (the version can be different from what is in Planning) and also in Planning.
So you can import the Planning rules via LCM and it will run without calc manager coming in to picture. But if you want to edit these rules and deploy it back to Planning, you would need to import the rule via lcm in to Calc Manager and redeploy to Planning.

Solution Description
GL setup->financial->flexfileds->key -> segments 화면의
Structures region에서 Title에 입력된 Data가 20 chars(한글은 10글자)를 넘으면
