EPrint capable ?

Im new to this, so forgive me if Im incorrect in asking for advice on this forum and I should be somewhere else? I have just learned of the Google Cloud Print and need to know if anyone knows if my printer would be ePrint capable? I have an HP PSC 1315v All in one printer(1310 series) and am using Windows 7 Ultimate operating system.
Thank you for any assistance anyone can give me!!
                            Terry         (maninblk)

Hello,
You have an older printer and it does not support HP's ePrint service. HP ePrint didn't hit the streets until Spring of 2010 and now most new consumer printers ship with the feature.

  • How do I add multiple family members to eprint capability on my 8600 pro?

I dont know how to add my wife and son to the eprint capability on my 8600 pro, i tried adding them as seperate users under hp connected but it wont let you use the claim code more than once.  Anyone have any ideas?  I'm sure someone has done this before, any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance

    Hi AV55,
I think you misunderstood banhien's earlier post.  Your wife would need to log into her ePrintCenter/HP Connected account and then add each family member as an authorized sender following the steps banhien posted.

  • HP ePrint Home & Biz failing to find Business Inkjet 1200 on wireless network

I am trying to set up printing from my phone over my local network to an HP printer.
I have downloaded the HP ePrint Home & Biz app onto a Samsung SII runningAndroid  v4.0.4 the app cannot find the HP Business Inkjet 1200 (C8156A) on the wireless network.
    1) The printer is functional and other devices can print to it
    2) The phone is able to conect wirelessly to the printer via a browser connection
    3) The printer is on a fixed IP number
    4) The BI 1200 is listed on the supported models page for ePrint Home & Biz app
    5) I have registered the app with ePrint but should be able to connect via the local wireless network
I tried to use the Connect Manually option but it is tring to get me to supply an ePrint e-mail address. Do I really have to register the printer on ePrint to get this app to work?
As someone else said why not have an app that just formats the print job and sends it to the local printer?

The app can actually do what you want and print over the local network.
It sounds like what you are doing is going to settings, and then manage eprinters, and trying to add the device there. This section is only for eprint capable devices, and allows you to print to them even when you are not at the same location.
Go back to the home screen of the app.
Select a photo or document from within the app.
Simply push on the area near the bottom of the screen that may show a printer, or if its never printed it may just have a down arrow.
From here you should be able to click on printer and choose your printer.
The above method will simply search the local network for supported devices, and does not require any registration of the app.

  • Trouble adding printer to HP ePrint Home and Biz iPhone app - can't find printer's email address

I'm trying to connect my HP Photosmart c6380 to my iPhone. I already downloaded the app and my printer is connected to my wireless network, as is my iPhone, but I can't add my printer to the app.
When I go to "Manage ePrinters" and try to add a printer with the + button I see 3 choices:
Add ePrinter from list: "No ePrinters available"
Add Manually: I can't find the printer's email address even using the instructions found at the ePrint center.
Add from WiFi Network: My printer isn't shown in this list so it does not support auto discovery.
So I'm guessing that if I could just find my printer's email address that would connect it to my iPhone for wireless printing, but I can't for the life of me find it.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hello amybett,
I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that your printer is not Airprint/ePrint capable. However, the good news is that with the HP ePrint Home and Biz iPhone app it does not need to be Airprint/Eprint capable, as long as it is connected to the same network as your phone.
Here are the steps you will want to take to print something:
    1. Setup the app by completing the email registration and entering the code (which I believe you have).
    2. Select the item you wish to print using the menu in the app (Photo Albums, Saved Files, Web Browser, etc.).
    3. Once you select the item you should see the item and a large "Print" button under it.
    4. If the printer you want to print to is not listed above the "Print" button, select the icon on the right (wrench/computer) and select the printer you wish to use (along with other settings).
    5. Tap on the "Back" button in the top left corner, then tap "Done" (blue button in the top right corner), and then tap the "Print" button to print your item.
Let me know if you are still having trouble after following the guide above.

  • HP ePrint Home & Biz and HP3050 J610a and iPhone4

I realise that the HP3050 does not support eprint, I have however been able to connect my phone to the printer using HP ePrint Home & Biz app and scan a document,  when I turn the printer off then back on HP ePrint Home & Biz cannot see the printer.  I have tried the usual steps, power off printer and phone, power on phone then printer.  Unplug printer from wall etc, turn off bluetooth.  It seems to be random as well because sometimes it works other times it doesn't, lately I cannot get it to work.  Any ideas

    Hi RagDaz,
I wanted to first check on something you said here, the ePrint Home and Biz will only scan from ePrint capable printers.
Do you have the J610 or the J611 printer?  The 3050 J610 does not support ePrint and the 3050A J611 does support ePrint and thus scanning from the ePrint Home and Biz app.
    On to the question.
The behavior  you are describing has a couple possible causes:
    1. Poor signal strength - When the signal is strong enough, it works.  When the signal weakens, it does not work.
If  you suspect you might be having signal strength problems, try moving the printer and router into the same room and placing them about 6 feet apart.
    2. Router problem - Some routers need to be restarted from time to time.  Try powering off the printer, router and iPhone.  Turn the router, iPhone and printer back on in that order.  Wait for about 1 minute between, making sure the router had enough time to finish booting up before turning the iPhone back on.
    3. When it does not work,  make sure the iPhone is attached to the right network.

  • CP1025nw firmware upgrade for eprint and/or airprint?

I bought one of these which is supposed to be eprint capable by late 2010.  I can't find the firmware for this update.  Otherwise, I believe it's misleading of HP to advertise the availability.  If I had known, I would have returned the printer within the return period.

    Hi jw4570,
Your printer can is AirPrint compatible. I found a firmware update for it at this link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4062&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4052...

  • Can't get ePrint to work on 3050a

    Hi,
I just bought a 3050a, mainly because of the ePrint capability.  I have spent all day trying to get it working and it will be going back to the store unless it starts working.
I am using Windows XP and I have succeeded in installing the printer and can print to it via the wireless network.
It claims that webservices are set up on the printer (the ePrint light is on).  When I do a check for update from the device control panel it claims that it is up to date.
If I ask it to print the info sheet, I the yellow squares of the progress bar all fill up, so it looks like it should have done it, but no info page prints.
However I can print a windows XP test page just fine.
The printer is on the same wifi network as my laptop, so it should be able to see the internet.
AFAIK my ISP (Virgin Media) is not sending my traffic via a proxy (and also not according to http://www.lagado.com/proxy-test ).
    This is deeply, deeply frustrating.
    Any help gratefully received.
    Crush

    Hi Crush_157,
I would suggest reconnecting the printer to the network by running the Wireless setup wizard and try to launch web services again. If this does not help, you may need to change some DNS settings within the printers EWS (embedded web server) To do this, put the IP address into a browser window on your PC.
This should launch the EWS. Within the EWS, select the network tab. under the network tab, select "networking".
Then select "network address" (IP). Do not change the IP configuration at the top. Go to the bottom under "DNS Address configuration “and select "Manual DNS server”. Under manual DNS server, input 8.8.8.8 (one 8 in each box) on the first line, and 8.8.4.4 on the second line. Hit the "Apply" button at the bottom.
Now try to connect to Web Services again.

  • I want to install eprint on my iPad 1, but it apparently needs iOS6

I would like to be able to print from my iPad 1 to the HP Officejet Pro 8000 which is connected to my iMac, but I can't download eprint - it apparently needs iOS6 or later.
Is an earlier version of eprint available?

    FoxyLady,
    Interesting.
I do have an ePrint printer and I do have a vintage iPad running iOS 5.1.1 --I have the old ePrint App installed on the iPad.  The app has been on the iPad for some time.  I did find a Paid version of the ePrint App in the Apple App Store that claims it will run on iOS 5.  I am not recommending you consider purchasing a paid App.
I do not find your printer on the Airprint list of supported printers.
I do not find your printer listed as an ePrint capable printer.

As a matter of academic interest I have asked the question about the version of the ePrint App.  If someone knows something about it, we will hear back.
I could well be missing something.  It would not be the first time.

  • What is eprint and how can I use it?

i just discovered e print on my wireless printer and hooked it all up. What is the purpose of having e print and how do I use it as an e mail tool? Can you give me some examples?

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
When you register your ePrint-capable printer with hpconnected.com, and your printer is alive on a home network, you can now print to it from anywhere in the world via email!
Any file added to an email as an attachment , and sent to the printer's email address will be spit out of the printer! This works for phones, computers, tablets, etc.
You can print a simple email itself by forwarding the email to your printer's email address.  I set up a Contact in all my  HP devices named "Printer", and I give it the email address HP provided me when I registered the printer. Anything I want to print is done by forwarding to "Printer"!
Using an Android device, or iOS device can be enhanced by downloading the HP ePrint app.  It will add additional wireless printing capability to the devices.

    Hello fishermantrap,
"Web Services" is an option on HP ePrint capable printers that must be enabled to setup and use ePrint. "iCloud" is a service Apple provides that is not necessary to ePrint to your HP ePrint capable printer.

  • EPrint identification problem

I have previously registered an HP printer and have forgotten my password.  I can't seem to get anywhere properly to register my new HP Officejet 4620 in ePrint. My email address is not accepted.

Hi ns10s, when you say you've previously registered an HP printer do you mean you've created an ePrintCenter account and added an ePrint capable printer to that account?
Registering your product (which you get prompted to do during setup) is not the same as registering the printer to the ePrint service.
