Eprint Enteprise Setup

Hello!
We are currently doing a POC with Eprint Enterprise 2.1 for our business.  We are using this to control printing to iOS devices (iPads, iPhones).
I have installed Eprint Enterprise 64 bit 2.1 version on a Windows Server 2008 R2 installation. All seems fine here, I can pull up the web interface at http://server.fqdn.com/cloudprintadmin
I can also add printers, users, and send a test job successfully to a printer.
My issue comes from the Eprint Service app on the iPhone. I have dowloaded and installed this app without any issues.
I tap on the settings button in the left hand cornder, and flip on Enteprise Printing. It then asks me to enter the hostname of our Enterprise server.
I enter server.fqdn.com and I get this error message everytime:
"Activation failed, please verify if you entered the correct code or try sending the email again."
I have verifed that my iPhone is connected to our internal network via our wireless. From my iPhone I can pull up the cloudadmin page without issue.
I have called HP support, and nobody that works there seems to have a clue what this product is/does. Very frustrating so far!
Thanks in advance!

Hi CurtisWebb,
I understand that you're trying to use the ePrint service app.  I would repost the question in the Enterprise board with similar users and for better coverage.

  • Hp eprint set up issues with non hp printer

    HI
I have a hp pavillion p7 1414pc desktop with windows 8.  There are also 3 laptops in the house  that are Toshibas.  Two use also windows 8 bought the week after the desktop one is a year and a hapf old using windows 7.  They are all networked for various reasons.
Have a Epson workforce 635 all in one that is not too old - year or so that works like a dream and is also networked. Can print from the laptops without a problem.  However can not print from the desktop. When it was installed it went right to this eprint set up. Not real familiar with it.  I have read the instructions. There is not an icon on my Epson as it keeps referring to. I have the ip address and i typed it into a browser as it has said. While i get a window of information there is not HP Web Services Tab it says will be there.  So i am not getting this printer code to in turn get the customized email address. I find it odd that my laptops will print wirelessly but the one plugged in - wired - to the printed i can not print from. I did go to Epson and download the windows 8 drivers for the printer and installed those.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I will not go buy a new printer when this one works like a champ and is windows 8 compatable. Thank you!

    Hi,
HP and Epson are two companies, they may have something similar but we can't use HP ePrint to setup an Epson printer.
    Hope this makes sense.

  • How do i set up the eprint from my blackberry so i can send emails to my printer and print them off

how do i set up eprint on my blackberry so i can send emails from my phone to the printer and print off

     Hi Tanya_Carroll,
You can follow this link to set up ePrint.
    http://h71028.www7.hp.com/hho/us/en/ep/articles/setting-up-mobile-printing.html
Once ePrint is setup, you can send an email to the printer's email address.
Be sure to use one of these email clients when sending to the printer.  If the Blackberry will not send using your original email address, setup a new email account on the Blackberry and try again.

  • Change owner of HP eprint enabled printer

I was forced to change my Google account name (it was an old account) when I signed up for Google  for Education. The old account was deleted and this was the account that was associated with my HP e printer. I cannot access the printer via a Chromebook now. I see "account was deleted and no longer recoverable" when I try to sign in with the old account
I see the owner of the printer on the HPConnected site is the account that was deleted. I need to be able to delete the owner of the printer  and use my new account for ownership.
    Thank you

    Hi @nanielee,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that your HP printer was added to an old Google account that has been deleted.
To reclaim the printer you will need to disable then re-enable the web services on the printer.  You will need to setup ePrint again.  If the printer had a customized ePrint email address, you will need to create the printer a new customized ePrint email address.  I have included the Remove ePrint and HP Printables in HP Connected document to walk you through disabling the web services.
To setup ePrint again I have included the Getting the Printer Claim Code document and the Setting Up a Custom Email Address for HP ePrint document.
Once ePrint is setup again, you will need to add the printer to your new Google account.  I have included the Using Google Cloud Print with your HP Printer document for reference, as by the sound of things you are very aware how to do this step.
Please let me know the outcome.

  • HP Wireless Direct Print

im using my new hp laserjet pro 300 with Wireless Direct Print. i can use the wireless direct print feature great with my iphoe as well as my android phone. advertisements suggested that i would also be able to print from my wireless laptop using the HP Wireless Direct Print feature. was i mistaken?

Install the HP eprint Mobile Driver
    Download the driver from www.hp.com/go/eprintmobiledriver.
Launch the installer and follow the instructions in the install wizard.
Register the HP ePrint Mobile Print Driver
Registering the driver to the Windows or Mac computer is required for the HP ePrint Mobile Driver to send print jobs from your print client, into your ePrintCenter.com account, to an HP ePrint enabled product registered to ePrintCenter.com. For direct IP printing from a Windows client over the local area network to a supported PostScript device, ePrintCenter.com registration is not required and is therefore optional if web-based printing is not required.
    ePrint Credential Setup
This default option presented during installation guides you through enabling the HP ePrint Mobile Driver for web-based printing. When presented with the HP ePrint Registration option within the HP ePrint Mobile Driver, you are asked to enter an email address and Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you skip this step during driver installation, you can access the registration option again from the user interface of the installed driver.
    Email
The HP ePrint Mobile Driver registration process asks you for an email address. This email
address is used by ePrintCenter.com to send a system-generated Personal Identification Number required to register the HP ePrint Mobile Driver to your Mac or Window client. The email address you provide can be the same email address used to create your ePrintCenter account, or any other email
address that you have access to read received emails.
    PIN
The registration process sends a Personal Identification Number (PIN) from [email protected] to the email address entered into the HP ePrint Mobile Driver registration screens. Supply the provided PIN to the HP ePrint Mobile Driver. Registration status is provided through the user interface (Success or Fail). Click OK from the Registration Successful acknowledgement screen. The credentials provided during registration are saved for this computer, which enable the print client to send print jobs from any installed application on the Mac or Windows system.
The system can now print to registered HP ePrint-enabled products.
Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!

    Hi,
A such may happen due to outdated software.
Please click the Apple icon and select Software Update, be sure to install any HP or Apple updated, reboot your Mac and check for any difference.
If the same persists, download and install the following software and then check for any difference while accessing the HTML Config / EWS browser tool:

Hey ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I see that you're unable to use ePrint or enable webservices with your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer.  I would like to help.  Have you tried the basic ePrint/webservices setup method as recommended by HP?  If not, give that a shot first.  If this is not new to you please read on, I have some more suggestions that might enable this feature for you.   I recommend you set a Manual DNS on your printer.  Here's how:  Click on the HP ENVY 7640 icon on your PC desktop (note that I've used screenshots for a different printer, but the steps are essentially identical) to access the HP Printer Assistant.  Click on the Embedded Web Server link (EWS) and then click on the network tab as indicated below:   Next, click Wireless and then IPV4 Configuration as indicated below:     Next, click on Manual DNS Server and input the numbers exactly as indicated below, clicking on Apply to complete this aspect of your setup:   For the next step, you can use the EWS 'Webservices' tab to enable webservices/ePrint or enable from the printer's front panel by touching the  icon.  Touch OK to allow this feature to activate and also to allow for automatic printer updates.   If you were able to complete the above-noted steps without issue, you will be ready to send your printer ePrint jobs. For more information on how to setup a custom ePrint address click here.  If you're an Android or iOS device user, click here for more information on how to use the HP ePrint app.  In its most basic iteration, you can send your printer ePrint jobs from any web-ready device by emailing content you want to print directly to your printer's @hpeprint.com address.  Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to say "You rock!" by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and clicking to accept this solution. Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!

how to connect my HP DeskJet 1515 Ink Advantage printer to google cloud ?

    Hello PavikuttyPC,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Regaridng the setup for the Deskjet 1515 for Google Cloud Print, it can only be done one way, and that is USB connection to another computer with the 1515 software installed.
To learn more, check out this Google guide: Connect your classic printers with Google Cloud Print
If the printer was wireless and had ePrint, the setup would be simpler and more user friendly. I hope this helps you get printing.

  • What is POP, POP3, and IMAP When I Setup My Email Account in the HP ePrint App?

I have done as much research as I can do in regards to setting up the HP ePrint App Email Accounts.  If you do not see your email information listed here, feel free to post it below or contact your internet service provider, phone or email company, or whomever else that might know this. I am certain there are many more that could be added but this is a rather extensive list.  I hope you find what you need to finish setting up your email applications.
I have noticed information differs from website to website but as I have learned over time, with domain masking and companies buying out other companies, I just researched all the information I could find and that way if one of the hostnames or ports don’t work, then you can continue to view further into this page to see if that information is the same. At that point, if you can’t find what you need here, I would say you have done all that you can do before contacting the appropriate support team for your email information.
Most of the links are active and the ones listed below should send you directly the pages I pulled this information from but only a few of them were from the actual support sites themselves (Apple support was vague, as well as Microsoft, Macintosh, and commonly used ISPs). Save yourself some time by searching here first. I hope you find what you need in this one-stop-shop and if you get an email address not listed here please post it below and I will add it to this original document.
Lastly, as this information is from forum-based and other unofficial websites, I would like to add that this is a copy/paste/edit-for-easy-reading document I created in my spare time. This is a very long document so I do recommend using the search and find quick keys to search for the email you need but the top part of this has definitions as to what servers, ports, and hostnames are and the basic setup in case you need to know what these options are used for and what they mean.
Below are the most common settings needed to set up most POP3/IMAP Email Clients or Devices:
The following information below can be found at http://www.swestcom.com/Support/q4.htm
    “What is POP3?
Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3) is a standard mail protocol used to receive emails from a remote server to a local email client. POP3 allows you to download email messages on your local computer and read them even when you are offline."
    "What is IMAP?
The Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) is a mail protocol used for accessing email on a remote web server from a local client. IMAP and POP3 are the two most commonly used Internet mail protocols for retrieving emails. Both protocols are supported by all modern email clients and web servers."
"Main difference between IMAP and POP3:
The POP3 protocol assumes that there is only one client connected to the mailbox. In contrast, the IMAP protocol allows simultaneous access by multiple clients. IMAP is suitable for you if your mailbox is about to be managed by multiple users."
    "What is SMTP?
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is the standard protocol for sending emails across the Internet. SMTP uses TCP port 25 or 2525 and sometimes you can have problems to send your messages in case your ISP has closed port 25 (How to check if port 25 is open?). To determine the SMTP server for a given domain name, the MX (Mail eXchange) should have more information."
    "When setting up:
POP - choose POP and the incoming server port will default to 110
IMAP - choose IMAP and the incoming server port will default to 143
All other settings are the same.
    Username = [email protected]
Password = the password you set up when you configured your mail box
    Incoming Mail Server = mail.yourdomain.com
    Outgoing Mail Server= smtp.yourdomain.com
Outgoing Server Requires Authentication (typically found in advanced options or settings)
Do NOT check "Log on Using Secure Password Authentication"
Use the same Username and Password as Incoming or select "Use Same Settings as Incoming"
Outgoing Server Port= 2525 or 587This is subject to change based on the individual preferences of your ISP"
Note - Substitute your actual domain name for "yourdomain.com" and substitute the first part of your email address for "user."
    Email Ports
For networks, a port means an endpoint to a logical connection. The port number identifies what type of port it is. Here are the default email ports for:
    POP3 - port 110
    IMAP - port 143
    SMTP - port 25
    HTTP - port 80
Secure SMTP (SSMTP) - port 465
    Secure IMAP (IMAP4-SSL) - port 585
    IMAP4 over SSL (IMAPS) - port 993
    Secure POP3 (SSL-POP) - port 995.

Have you ever wished you could use your AOL email account with something else, something more powerful, something more convenient than AOL, something like Outlook, Windows Mail, Outlook Express, or The Bat!? Thanks to the wonders of IMAP, you can.
If you set up your AOL email account in any email client capable of IMAP, you can receive and send messages easily. Even the AOL folders — Spam, Saved, Sent Items and your Trash will be there automatically. Of course, you can also use POP to fetch incoming mail in an uncomplicated fashion.

Set Up POP or IMAP E-Mail on an Android G1 How do I set up POP or IMAP E-Mail on an Android Device?
From the home screen, tap Applications > Settings > Accounts & sync > Add account > Manual setup.
On the Incoming settings screen, in the Protocol drop-down menu, select IMAP or POP3. We suggest you select IMAP because it supports more features.
In the Email address and Username text boxes, enter your full e-mail address, for example [email protected], and then select Next. Your user name is the same as your e-mail address.
In the Password text box, enter your password.
In the IMAP server or POP3 server text box, enter your IMAP or POP server name. For information about how to look up the server settings you need to complete this step and other steps in this procedure, see “How do I find the server settings” later in this topic.
In the Security type drop-down menu and Server port text boxes, specify the POP or IMAP settings that you looked up in step 5, and then tap Next. Your e-mail application will check your IMAP or POP settings.
On the Outgoing server settings screen, the Login required option should be selected for you, and the Username and Password text boxes should be filled in.
In the SMTP server text box, enter the SMTP server name you looked up in step 5.
In the Security type drop down menu and Server port text box, specify the SMTP settings that you located in step 5, and click Next.
In the Account name, text box, enter a name for your account (for example “Office 365 email” or “Work email”). In the Your name text box, enter the name you want displayed when you send e-mail to others (for example “Tony Smith”), and then select Finish Setup.
What else do I need to know?
If your e-mail account is the type that requires registration, you must register it the first time you sign in to Outlook Web App. Connecting to your e-mail account through a mobile phone will fail if you haven't registered your account through Outlook Web App. After you sign in to your account, sign out. Then try to connect using your mobile phone. For more information about how to sign in to your account using Outlook Web App, see How to Sign In to Your E-Mail Using a Web Browser. If you have trouble signing in, see FAQs: Sign-in and Password Issues or contact the person who manages your e-mail account.

The following information is according to a forum comment at the bottom of this webpage concerning HOTMAIL and mail server settings:
“As other web based email services, Hotmail is using the HTTP protocol for connecting you to your mailbox. If you want to send and receive Hotmail emails using an email client software, then your software must support Hotmail HTTP access for your email account. Some email clients, such as Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook, offer builtin support for Hotmail accounts, so you only have to select HTTP when you are asked to select your email account type and select Hotmail as the HTTP Mail Service Provider.”
Mail Server Settings for Hotmail using the Microsoft Outlook Connector
If you are using Microsoft Outlook & the Outlook Connector, you can define your Hotmail account just like any regular POP3 email account:
Hotmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop3 . live. com  (logon using Secure Password Authentification - SPA, mail server port: 995)
Hotmail Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) -smtp . live . com (SSL enabled, port 25)
Additional information from this website has not been confirmed or validated as of yet but it does include additional information or perhaps corrected information. If the above steps do not fix the problem with setting up an email account for the HP Apps then read on:
    Yahoo! Mail Settings
Yahoo Mail offers standard POP3 access for receiving emails incoming through your Yahoo mailbox, by using your favorite email client software. To setup your email client for working with your Yahoo account, you need to select the POP3 protocol and use the following mail server settings:
    Yahoo Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (port 110)
Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (port 25)
POP Yahoo! Mail Plus email server settings
Yahoo Plus Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995)
Yahoo Plus Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465, use authentication)
    · Google GMail Settings
The Google GMail service offers email client access for retrieving and sending emails through your Gmail account. However, for security reasons, GMail uses POP3 over an SSL connection, so make sure your email client supports encrypted SSL connections.
Google Gmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.gmail.com (SSL enabled, port 995)

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app.  I am certain other applications also need this information.  Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information.  Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Thank you!

  • Can't setup ePrint / Web Services on a new HP 8600 Pro Plus Wireless Printer

I just purchased a new HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus All in one printer. I setup the printer on my home wireless network and it prints great. I am now trying to setup ePrint and when I go through the option to setup the Web Services /ePrint function on the Printer or via the web application for the printer I get the following error:
    "Cannot connect to the server.
Check the Internet connection and try again. Or contact your system administrator or the person who set up the printer. If your network requires a proxy server address to connect to Internet, click Enter Proxy or check your browser settings."
My primary PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium with Svc Pac 1, 64 bit
My home network is set for DHCP and I do not have a Proxy Server setup but the Web Services setup page is asking for a Proxy Server an Port.
I have already established a ePrint ID but cannot complete the process until I can get the Printer Web Services setup process to complete.
    Any suggestions?

    HI Adrianf;
Hope you are doing well, welcome to the community,
I wil take several steps to make sure they are not causing the issue,
     Try this tool Click here
I will also set an static ipaddress for my printer and change the DNS servers provided by your ISP to Google DNS servers
How to set an static IP address
Follow these steps to assign an unchanging static IP address to the product through the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
Open a new Web browser window.
Type the IP address located on the Network Configuration Page in the address bar of the Web browser, using http:// to begin the address e.g. http://192.168.0.1  Then press Enter .  The EWS home page for the product opens.
In the EWS screen, click the Network tab.
Click Wired (802.3) , and then click the IPv4 Configuration or the IPv6 Configuration tab.
Click Manual IP . The Manual IP Address box opens.
In the Manual IP Address box, type an IP address with the same values in the first three sets of digits (subnet values) as the product's IP address (listed on the Network Configuration Page), and a higher value (between 1 and 254) in the fourth set of digits. This creates a static IP address on the same subnet, but outside the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) range.
For example, if the product's original IP address is 192.168.0.1 , assign the static IP address to 192.168.0.200 .
    NOTE:
Do not type the static IP address use as the example. Enter a static IP address based on the IP address for your product. This can be found on network configuration page.
Enter the Subnet Mask and the Default Gateway settings as they appear on the Network Configuration Page.
Click OK to save the new settings, and then click Exit or close the browser to exit the EWS.
    While you are here in the IPV4  you can set the DNS servers of google instead of the DNS servers provided by your ISP  just change the option of automaticly select DNS server and use this;
DNS servers of google are 8.8.8.8 and alternative DNS 8.8.4.4
Make sure that the operating system is updated, that the routers firware is the lastest.
    Hope it helps and best of luck;
    RobertoR

  • Can't setup ePrint and Web Services on my New HP Officejet Pro 8600!

I just purchased a new HP Officejet Pro 8600. I setup the printer following the setup wizard: my home wireless network work perfectly and the printer prints great. I am now trying to setup ePrint but I get the following error:
    "Cannot connect to the server.
Check the Internet connection and try again. Or contact your system administrator or the person who set up the printer. If your network requires a proxy server address to connect to Internet, click Enter Proxy or check your browser settings."
I don't use any server proxy and my OS System is Windows 7 64 bit.
    Someone can help me?

I just went through this a few days ago.  I had changed internet service providers and thus had a new router.  My hpconnected migrated from hpeprint andkept saying it was not connected to the network and hpconnected status kept saying 'offline'
    This totally worked:
    on hpconnected.com remove your device
on your printer or from hp printer software on your system 'remove web services'
readd webservices, your printer will print the new information with the claim code
add your device back to hpconnected with the new claim code
and wah lah....you are connected to your network through webservices
you will need to create a new hpeprint email as a result
PS on the set up when it asks for Proxy Settings and you have ATT Uverse these do not exist so just leave the areas blank

  • How do I setup my smart phone to send pics to my eprint printer?

I cannot find ANY information on how to setup my smart phone to print. I have somehow activated the printer but it does not show up on my phone! It's unfortunate that what seems to be a good service is too difficult for the average user...much less a beginner! I don't understand why the information can't be more obvious in the search tools. Thanks anyone who can help.

    Printerpuss,
If your trying to just use ePrint, all you have to do is email what you want printer to the printers email address.
If your trying to print directly from your phone, I would need to know what kind of phone it is first.
The iPhone you can print directly from as long as you are on the same wireless network.
There is also an app available for the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry phones. For the iPhone and Android phones, you will want the ePrint Home & Biz app. With a Blackberry, you just want the normal ePrint app.
There is also a help section with some commonly asked questions on the ePrintCenter website, here is the direct link to that: https://h30495.www3.hp.com/help/about
If you are still having issues, let me know what kind of phone and printer you have and I'll see what else I can do for you.
