Eprint on a laserjet 551dn

I just setup eprint on a new color laserjet 551dn and it seems to work with one problem.  The eprints want to use tray 1 which is the manual feed tray on this printer.  Obviously this is not helpful for remote printing since the idea is to be able to print without being at the printer to put paper int he manual feed tray or to select another tray to print from on the control panel.  Is there a way to change the eprint settings to use tray 2?

Hey ronmcgrath,
I would like to provide some assistance with the issue you are experiencing.  I would like to ask how you are sending ePrints to the HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color Printer (M551dn)?
Are you sending a standard email print job, printing from the ePrint app, or using the ePrint drivers on a PC?
As well, for further support on your M551dn you will be able to find better support options in the Enterprise - LaserJet HP forums.  I will provide a link to these boards for your convenience below.

Hope this helps,

  • Eprint with hp laserjet 177fw

    Hello,
I have HP laserjet 177fw and want to print my hand-writed note from my Ipad, using eprint.
Is it possible? Is there anyone know how to do it?
    Thanks a lot for responding

    Hi,
Firstly your hand writing note(s) must be saved as a file then you can use AirPrint or HP ePrint to print as long as your iPad and your printer are on a SAME network. Your printer supports BOTH. You can also send and email to its email address to print given you already set it up properly.
    Regards.

  • How to configure ePrint on LaserJet CP1025nw Color Printer

    Solution found:
How to Configure HP ePrint on the LaserJet CP1025nw Color Printer
    System:     Windows  (Widows 7)
    Step 1 – Install Printer
Install the CP1025nw Printer to USB, Wifi or Ethernet.
(Printer needs to print correctly in order to pass to the next steps).
    Step2 – Check Firmware Version
Press the “Info-Button” on the CP1025nw LaserJet for five seconds.
The printer will print two info pages.
Look at the first Page on the top-left for Firmware Version
Firmware version must be 20120103 or higher.
    Step 3 – Update Firmware
Download Firmware Update utility (LJCP1020_FWUpdate_signed.exe) from the following link:
Utilidad de actualización del firmware de HP LaserJet CP1025nw
    or
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=lj-86491-5&cc=es&dlc=es&lc=es&...=
Execute the Utility on the computer were the CP1025nw LaserJet is correctly installed.
Find the CP1025nw Printer on the list. The selection Window might show the printer several times depending on how the printer was installed. Select one option and press the button “Update One”.
Step 4 – Retrieve the Printer Code for your CP1025nw Printer
    ATTENTION:
The “Host Name” of the printer is not the “Printer-Code” you need  for ePrint setup.
To retrieve the Printer-Code you must run the ePrint-Setup-Wizard-Utility.
To download of the utility, go to the link: http://www.hp.com/go/ePrint .
Find the “HP LaserJet Pro CP1020 Color Printer Series” option in the Drop-Down-List.
Click “Windows” to download the wizard (EPrintSetupWizard.exe ).
Execute the Wizard on the computer where the CP1025nw Printer is correctly installed. After running the wizard press the “Info-Button” on the CP1025nw LaserJet for five seconds. The printer will print three info pages. The third info-page offers the Printer-Code you need for ePrint setup. The code is valid for 24h only. When time elapses you have to reprint the info-pages to get an actualized Printer-Code.
Step 5 – Get Printer Email for your CP1025nw LaserJet
In order ePrint on your CP1025nw Printer you need to assign an email address to your Printer. To do this, go to the following link: http://www.hpeprintcenter.com/
Log in with your HP-ID. If you don’t have one, register for a new account.
When logged in, click on “Add new Printer”-button. You will be asked to enter the Printer-Code. (On how to get the Printer-Code, see step 4).
While evaluating the Printer-Code, be patient, the program needs its time.
When the Printer-Code is accepted, you can assign an email address for your CP102nw5 LaserJet. Done this, your con print your CP1025nw Printer just by sending the documents per email to the email-address of your printer.
    Done.

  • HP Laserjet Pro 400 MFP M425dn - Will not work via wireless; is ePrint an option for this product?

We can print with USB plugged in but wireless shows as offline and obviously doesn't print.
On the listed products that use ePrint, the 400 Laserjet series is listed for Color only. This is not a color unit.

    @burgergal
The HP Laserjer Pro 400 m425dn unit that you are listing is capable of ePrint however it is only a duplex, networking unit...not wireless. It is a black (mono) unit, not color.

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw ePrint failures

We bought this printer several months ago.  My boss wanted a printer that could be printed to remotely.  I advised him to get one of the many Google Cloud Print ready printers out on the market, but the salesman at where ever he purchased this printer, told him the LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw was Google Cloud Print ready and that it also offered this amazing feature called HP ePrint.  The salesman was only half wrong.  Technically any printer is google cloud ready (at least in this braindead of a salesman's standards), as you just need to have it connected to a PC.  However, any notion that this printer is an ePrint printer is an outright lie.
So that I don't get bombarded with the normal responses from the "HP Experts," let me list all of the steps I've done:
First, few days I dealt with customer support.  Yes, dealt, as they were rude and ultimately had no information.  Even after the ticket got "escalated," the advanced tech support still had little to add.  I followed all of the steps for troubleshooting on the support pages as well as the forums.  I've changed to static ip's, google dns servers, power cycled all the devices, did a full printer system restore to bring it back to "out of the box" shape in terms of settings/firmware, tried wired/wireless/usb connections, changed routers, opened ports, disabled and reenabled web services, tried all of the above through the browser with direct ip settings prompts, updated firmware, and I'm sure countless other steps that I honestly don't even want to remember.
I was told the web services e-mail given contains the claim code needed for www.hpconnected.com.  When inserting it as required when adding a device, you'll get Unexpected Error unless it's feeling frisky, and then it gives the Invalid Claim Code prompt.  Let's not forget that when I originally signed up, it was hpeprint.com, and when signing in, they took you on the wonderful whirlwind of a redirects from it to hpconnected and back, never getting past the sign in process.
Eventually, I put this printer far far away from me.  Flash forward several months, and I've done all of the above and then some on top of updating to the latest firmware (which I had hoped would solve this issue finally).  Nothing.
When enabling web services, no information page is printed.  When trying to manually do so, we just sit and spin on the Connecting... screen on the LCD.  If I try to do anything related to the web services features, I get the same result, except in the lovely times it changes to Unable to connect to server.. etc.
Outside of the ePrint issues, this device is really nice.  But it is in no shape or form, an ePrint printer.  Fact is, if I wanted this printer without the ePrint functions, I could have saved money I'm sure.
While searching today for possible new solutions on the forums, I see the following thread:
Eprint on HP LaserJet Pro M127fw
An "HP Expert" advises this kid to use google cloud print, which although comical, is enraging.  This device has, and still is, being marketed as an HP ePrint featured printer.  You can see on the official HP website it's listed:
    HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw
or see the picture below. But as this other HP webpage shows, this printer is not listed as having these features:
    HP Web-Connected Printers
If anyone has any useful advice, or can get me in touch with the Experts of all "HP Experts," I would love you to my dying breath.  But more than anything, I really just want to know if this printer has, or ever will, have these features available. Because having it promoted on the boxes, in stores, on the websites, even having the LCD show settings for these features is nothing less than infuriating.

    Hi sunrotor,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you have had some issues with setting up the ePrint feature of your Laserjet Pro MFP M127fw printer.
Thank you for the very detailed post of things that you have tried. I had a customer who was able to connect with the ePrint servers when using a Level 3 Communications DNS server when trying to connect with their Laserjet Pro M125nw printer. I have included About.com’s list of Free & Public DNS Servers which the Level3 is the first one listed. Please try setting a manual IP address and manual DNS server for the printer using the Level3 servers instead of the public Google DNS servers.
I have also included a post by @VisionAiry that lists all the Incoming and Outgoing Printer Ports. Please ensure that the ports are available for using ePrint.
Please let me know how it goes.

  • Installed LasrJet P1102w Registration and creation of eprint account I type the wrong email address

I have just completed installing my HP LasrJet P1102w and when the installation was complete it printed a Test Page. However, during the registration of the product I messed up on the Email address account to include eprint account. Now I cannot do an eprint on my new HP LaserJet P1102w nor can I Log In to my account to change the screw up. Need help. Thank you. If there is a Tel Phone # that I can call it would be appreciated. again thanks.

    Hi WBL49,
Thank you for being a member of the HP Support Forums.  I see that you setup the ePrint feature of your Laserjet P1102W printer in an account with an email address that you don’t have access to. No worries WBL49,  if you don’t remember the email address that you accidentally used there are two options available.
The first one is to disable the web services of the printer and then re-enable the web services.  This will allow you to go through the ePrint setup process again allowing you to create your account with the email address you wish to use.  I’ve included the Remove ePrint and HP Printables in HP Connected document.  Please follow the steps in the Remove ePrint section for Laserjet printers.  Once you have completed that step, please follow the steps in Getting the Printer Claim Code to get a new web services information sheet with the claim code.  Once you have the claim code, please follow the steps in Setting Up a Custom Email Address for ePrint to reclaim the printer.  If you had created a customized ePrint email address earlier, please be aware that ePrint email address is no longer available and you will need to create a new ePrint email address for the printer.
The second option is to call HP.  Please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • Does eprint software communicate with computer it is installed on using port 443?

I have eprint installed with laserjet 551 dn color printer. My computer has 64 bit windows 7 installed. My firewall had issues with the software when https inspection was turned on (Microsoft Forefront TMG). If I exclude the printer client(IP address of printer) and the domain name of *.hpeprint.com the software will connect. After a number of days the connection is lost and can be restored for a few days again by disabling https inspection and refreshing at the hpeprint center. It is likely the eprint software is trying to communicate with my computer over port 443. Does anyone have information on this? If details are available a listener could be set up for the protocol on the firewall to mantain the connectivity without disabling https inspection.

The ePrint Software (www.hp.com/go/eprintsoftware) operates on the following
    Print job communication and transfer:
    ● Print jobs are transfered from the HP ePrint Software to the HP cloud eprintcenter.com through HTTPS (Oauth
    authentication).
NOTE:  if you are sending emailed print jobs (ie- not using ePrint Software) eprintcenter.com would accepts the SMTP print jobs, which depending on your setup might leave your host via POP3, IMAP, etc
    ● The HP cloud sends notification to the HP web enabled ePrint device of the pending print request through XMPP—an
    XML-based messaging procedure.
    ● The Web-connected printer authenticates to HP ePrintcenter cloud to receive the pending ePrint requests in queue. The
ePrint device establishes an HTTPS connection and downloads the job(s)
