EPrint on Photosmart Plus B210a

I can't enable Web Services on Photosmart Plus B210a. When I try, appears on printer's screen this message:
"There was a problem connecting to the Server. Touch Retry to connect again, or OK to Exit".
I press Retry again and again but I only receive that message. How can I solve this issue?

Hi Adriano
Apologies if you have tried all these already
Have you assigned a static ip address to your printer . If so have a look at this thread where an issue like yours was solved
Heres a link to a thread where the issue was similar to yours
http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile/Unable-to-Connect-to-Web-Services-Server/m-p/4...
and
Here are some steps that solved a sililar issue to yours
Try these steps  and check if printer connects to Web Services or not:
1) Turn OFF the wireless radio
2) Perform Restore Network defaults from the printer menu
3) Turn OFF the printer and unplug the power cable from the back. Wait for 5 min
4) Reconnect the power cable and turn ON the printer
5) Run the wireless setup wizard from the printer menu.
6) check if you are able to print and scan
7) "Remove Web Services" from the printer menu and wait for 2 minutes
8) "Enable Web Services" from the menu and wait.
This should print a page automatically.

  • How to set black and white only on Photosmart Plus B210a

I just buy my HP Photosmart Plus B210a at staples on 25. Usually I will just print some word documents,I want to set to use black and white only (black ink only), but can't find it.

    Hi espressoking,
I understand that you are looking to print grayscale from your iPad.
I have included 2 different documents about using Apple's AirPrint.  The first one is from Apple and the second one is from HP.  If you find that the option to print in grayscale isn't available with AirPrint then I suggest you check out HP's ePrint app.  It gives you the options to print 'Color, 'Grayscale', or 'Black Only'.
For further reference I have also included a document about getting started with the HP ePrint app.

  • I can not print a PDF from a HP Photosmart Plus B210A.  HP says its is a Adobe problem and Adoble says it is not there problem

I am unable to print a PDF file from a HP Photosmart Plus B210a.  I contacted HP and they say because the printer does print word docs etc. the printer cannot be the cause of the problem.  This is from the Top Level Support team.  When contacting Adobe, they say that not being able to print their PDF files is not there problem but HP's.
Another call to HP and they now say it is Apple's problem.
I am in the middle and still can't print a PDF file.  When trying to do so, it doesn't print and I receive no error messages.  Just nothing.  My serial number is
W88110PFZE3 and my operating system is OSX 10.6.8.
Does anyone have a suggestion, or do I just throw out HP?
    Thanks, Bob L.

Try opening the PDF in Preview and see if it will print out of it.

  • Hp photosmart plus b210a unwanted printing

I am using hp photosmart plus b210a wireless printing mostly from my laptop which is windows 8 HP.
I've been seeing unwanted high-ink-use pages that do not belong to me or a friend i share it with.
Other people are having access to my printer, without my permission, and wasting my ink and paper.
Is there a way I can control which computers can use my wireless hp printer?

That's the information I needed.  You have set up a 'public' WiFi and don't want others to use the printer.
    You have two options here.
First is to set up Printer security.
Go to Start/Devices and Printers/Printer Properties.  Select the Security tab and set up the Users only.
    Second it to follow here.
Connect wireless printer when away from home in a hotel/motel/dorm room with total security.

  • Printing from Macbook Pro to HP Photosmart Plus B210a

    Hi,
I am experiencing difficulty in printing documents from Macbook Pro to HP Photosmart Plus B210a. This has only been a problem for the last 2 weeks.
I think this may be due the most recent update of OS X Mavericks 10.9.3.
I have tried to update printer drivers from HP web, and it indicates that the printer in connected to my network router, and I have been able to run a testprint to the printer.
However when I try to print any documents the print queue seems to be trying to print, but never actually generates an output document.
I am looking for any advice/guidance on how to solve this printing problem.

    Hi Eric,
i note that 10.9.4 is Mavericks.I cannot link directly as it is a wireless printer.
I have tried using the Terminal app, and typed the command as you indicated and i got the response attached.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210a won't add

    Hi!
My HP Photosmart Plus B210a won't create a printer queue in the printer list! Any help on installing the printer?
    Thanks in anticipation!

    Okay, I found this:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/11007096#11007096
Looks like the same problem, but with Mac OS X 10.4 and a slightly different HP printer. How do I reinstall my MacBook Air like she did? (I have no experience with this).
Any easy way to back up everything I need to backup? I have an external hard drive.
Do I reinstall using the white 'sort-of' USB stick that came with my MacBook Air?

  • Photosmart Plus B210a

I have the Photosmart Plus B210a, the cartridges that came with the printer barely worked so I took them back for new ones. The store insisted on taking cartridges from another box of the same printer. Now my printer will not print at all and is saying I have incompatiable cartridges...564 setup black, 564 setup magenta, etc. I don't know why it is reading as a setup cartridge or what the difference is, however even with the HP Doctor I can't get it to print anything. I just keep getting the error message...the ink cartridge is incompatiable???

    Welcome to the forums Bestmother5
I saw your post about the message you are seeing on your Photosmart B210a saying the cartridges are not compatible. I would like to help you the best I can!
If you had initiated your printer for the first time with the setup cartridges that came with your printer, that would be the only set of setup cartridges the printer requires. All printers are boxed with the setup cartridges to "initiate" the printer to calibrate it correctly.
Having said that, you can try the steps in the guide below however, I am unsure that they will correct the error if you are using a second set of setup cartridges. If you still see the message on the printer, I would recommend calling HP directly to see what their options are for you in this situation.

  • Unable to connect laptop to Photosmart Plus B210a

I have a new Photosmart Plus B210a that I have been unsuccessful connecting to with my Toshiba Satellite laptop running windows XP.  I have a second PC, a Dell Desktop, that I was able to connect and print flawlessly from.  Both are on the same network, using the same firewall.
When I attempt to use the HP software (tried both the CD that came with the printer as well as the newest version on HP's support website) and connect via wireless, I am able to see the printer with correct IP address (reserved in DHCP on my router).  When i select it and click next, it acts like it is trying to connect then i get a message saying it was Unsuccessful.
I downloaded and ran the HP network diagnostic utility and am able to see the printer there as well.  When I "Check Connection" I immediately get a message saying the "Software Missing!  HP Software required to connect to your printer over the network could not be found on this computer."
I have verified that I have the  newest versions of the HP software installed on the laptop.  I have also verified that the firmware is current on my router.  The laptop is current on all Microsoft updates.
If i connect the laptop via USB cable, the printer works flawlessly.
Any suggestions would be welcomed and I would like to thank you in advance for any assistance.

    Update:
I completely disabled my antivirus (Avast!) and disabled the only firewall (windows firewall) and can confirm that neither of those is preventing the installation.
I deleted every trace of HP and Hewlett Packard software by deleting all folders, registry keys, temp files, and programs.  Restarted the laptop, and reinstalled the newest software from the "Support and Drivers" section of the website for the HP Photosmart Plus B210a for windows XP, and still no luck.
I was able to install the printer manually by going into control panel >> printers and faxes, and adding a new printer.  I used a standard TCP/IP port a entered the IP address of the printer.  This allows me to print, but I still cannot connect using the HP software, which would allow me to do the fancy stuff like scanning.

  • My printer -photosmart plus B210a prints but the photos are very very dark HELP please

I have a Hp photosmart plus B210a just trying to print out some photos and they are very very dark The photos themselves are light and of a high Dpi any suggestions anyone ??? please they are of my son's wedding so are very important to me

What program are you printing from? What operating system? What are the printer settings for paper type and quality?
If you are printing from a program that allows selection of CMYK or RGB printing then select the RGB setting.  Even though the inks are CMYK the driver is expecting RGB data.

  • How to install HP Photosmart Plus B210a under Lion?

I just bought an new HP Photosmart Plus B210a for my Macbook Pro. I tried to install the software from the disk but it says that it only supports OS 10.5 and 10.6. I also couldnt find any update on the HP Homepage to download. Could anybody help me how I can set up this printer wireless? I'm using the new OS Lion.
    Thanks!!

I had the same problem. I was unable to use the software so I ejected it and tried the following:
While in the document, when I went to File>Print, I was then able to select the printer (see picture below) because my Macbook Pro found it wirelessly. From there, it installed and I was able to print just fine. I was also able to print from my iPhone 3GS. If the printer and your Macbook Pro (iPhone or any other device) are on the same wifi connection, your device should find your printer just fine.

  • Photosmart plus b210a won't print info page for web services

I have just purchased a photosmart plus b 210a and its on a wireless network.  I have finally managed to get the webservices enabled (it took about 4 days of trying) but now I can't print the info page to get the code to register on to the eprint centre.  When I try it tells me to upgrade the product but how do I do that.  I have done the product updates through the preferences menu and its telling me there aren't any.  I have gone through most of the Hp websites for help but can't find anything on this particular problem so any help will be gratefully received.  Thank you.

    Hi there,
Thanks for posting all the steps you've done so far, and that pretty much covers HP's print quality troubleshooting document.

  • My Photosmart Plus B210a is not detected by my MAC after updating to Yosemite

    Hi guys,
Since I updated to 10.10 Yosemite last week my MAC desktop no longer sees or communicates with my B210a.  This applies to both printing and scanning.  When I go under "Preferences" and "Printers and Scanners" my printer is not even listed as an option.
However, I can still airprint from my ipad and iphone.
I'm not sure what is going on, but it's like my desktop no longer "sees" my printer at all, even though it is on the same wifi network.
Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210a unable to scale prints?

Photosmart Plus AIO, product no CN216B, model no B210a, running under Win 7 x64.
Cumulatively I have spent a ridiculous number of hours searching for a way to scale printouts, usually web pages I'm trying to fit on a single sheet of paper.
Tantalisingly, I found a US HP retailer site that listed specs for this printer including the ability to scale prints between 12-1200%. However, I've yet to discover where/how this can be achieved. Is it really impossible to simply 'fit to page'?
Please, PLEASE, will one of you experts put me out of my misery once and for all on this question? Thanks guys.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

For this printer itself, it does not have the feature to scale prints. However, there are third party applications (such as Adobe) that can provide that option through their software. But is not included in this printer's drivers.
