EPrinters "in the Cloud" Setup

I have three HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook computers along with three HP Envy 4500 ePrinters that I will be setting up very soon for family members.  (I am new to cloud computing.)  I have searched online and in this forum but I cannot find any explanation as to exactly how the printers connect to the internet.  The instructions simply say, follow the web-enabled printing setup instructions on the printer panel but I would like to know in advance.  Anyone familiar with Chromebooks knows you can't install software on those machines.  Yet the setup instructions for the printer reference the software installation on Windows computers but do not mention how to configure printers for Chromebooks.  I noticed there is only a USB port on the back of the printer so I'm assuming a direct connection of the printer by Ethernet cable to the modem cannot be used.  So is the only option connecting wirelessly to the wireless router-modem gateway?  This may be elementary to most, if not all, of you so forgive my "newbie" question.  Other than protecting the ePrint e-mail address, is any additonal security necessary "printing via the cloud"?  Thanks!

Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that you have 3 new Chromebooks and 3 Envy 4500 printers and would like to get them setup and running. And don't worry about asking "newbie" questions, everyone on the forums once started as newbie.
Let's start  by getting the printers onto your home wireless network.  That can be done from the front panel of the printer.  I have included a link to your user guide, on page 53 in the section titled "To connect the printer" you will find the detailed instructions.  Please take note of each printer's IP address once it is on your network (if possible, please print the network report once you have put the printer on the network).  We will need the ip address later for your scanning questions on your other post.
Now that the printers on your wireless network we need to enable the web services for each printer.  There is a section in your user guide starting on page that reviews HP ePrint.  In the section "To print using HP ePrint" please follow the instructions for Step 1 to enable web services.  
Once the web services are enabled you will want to create a customized ePrint email address for each printer (it is not possible to have one ePrint email address for all 3 printers). I have included a document with detailed instructions.
Now that we have customized ePrint email addresses we need to set up Google Cloud Print for each printer. I have included a document with the instructions for setting up Google Cloud Print.  We should now be printing. For additional reference I have included the link to the Google Cloud Print web page.

    If the photos were in your camera roll when you last backed up, restoring the backup should recover them.  Restoring an iCloud backup requires first erasing your phone.  If you have any newer data on your phone since the backup that you want to keep, you'll need to save that first.  Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.  Sign into your iCloud account and choose your last backup to restore to.
    Make sure you phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.

  • Why does Creative Cloud Setup stop working when I re-install the program?

    I have Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC trough Creative Cloud. But then Creative Cloud stopped working -and now I need help to get CC  running again.
    I have read the troubleshootingpages and this is what I have done so far:

    Restarted the PC
    Downloaded and run CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe
    After about 5 minutes of downoading and installing:

    Bjørnarj6963233 I would recommend utilizing the steps listed in Error "Failed to Install" Creative Cloud Desktop application to reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application.  Also which operating system are you using?

    Sounds like you did not delete the iCloud account on your device before you changed your ID. You will need to do the following:
    1.     Sign onto Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the old ID (this is temporary - do not verify it, do not change the password): Apple - My Apple ID
    2.     Go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom to delete the account. Use your current password when asked, follow the prompts to complete the deletion
    3.     Go back into Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the new ID (you may need to verify it again)
    4.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign onto iCloud with the new ID

  • Looking for a calendar that syncs with my other iPad in the cloud?

    I have tried numerous calendar/agenda programs, but none sync easily through the cloud with my other iPad.  Could be me being inept.  Trying to input appointments on my iPad at work and sync it with my iPad at home.  Appreciate any help.  Thanks  Peter

    Isn't it just called 'Calendar' ?  The one with a red bar across the top.  If you've put other calendar apps on the phone take them off because they'll take over some of the functions of the Apple software and stop it working properly.
    Make sure you're using the same account on both iPads.  For instance, you might have one connected to your 'work' account and the other connected to your 'home' account.
    If you enter an event into an iCloud calendar using one device, and it's connected to the internet, it should quickly show up on all devices using the same iCloud calendar, as soon as they can connect to the internet.  If that's not happening, something is wrong with your setup.

  • I downloaded Adobe Cloud setup but it wont open up anything

    SO I got myself a new PC lenova laptop and downloaded Cloud. It worked out well and was able to get photoshop (trial), but something happened to my laptop that forced me to system restore.
    I redownloaded and get Adobe Cloud setup, but when I double clock it nothing happened. It'll just gimme this "Initializing Installer" loading thing and after that, nothing. Nothing pops up or anything. I check my laptop to see if it installed anything but nothing. What do I do??

    sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

    You can not setup a new iCloud account using a PC. You must use an Apple device (Mac or iPhone/iPad) to create the account, then sign into it using your PC.

    First a brief history. I use the iCloud to backup my iPad 2 and hardly ever synch it to itunes on my computer. I got the new iPad and restored the backup of my iPad 2 onto it.  All was fine except that an issue I had on my iPad 2's Safari had transferred over to my new iPad. That's is for another discussion. Anyhow I went to the genius bar and they said to just setup my new iPad as a new device and then manually install everything back on it. Stuff like mail, contacts, etc, would be reloaded from the cloud. So I did and I noticed that one of my 3rd party apps, MadPad, had none of my saved data. Does anyone know of a way to restore 3rd party app data from the iCloud? Is there some sort of utility out there that would do this?  I don't want to restore it from my previous iPad 2 backup because it will reintroduce the Safari problem back onto my new iPad.

    Assuming that you even have a backup with the data in it, you have no choice but to use a backup in order to restore that data. That is the idea behind backing up to iCloud. If that is the only backup that you have - then that is the one that you have to use.
    But if the backup is bad - or had corrupt data - then you will end up with the corrupt data again. You cannot selectively restore app data from a backup. you restore all settings and data - or nothing at all.

    How can I delete the app off my phone without going through the entire setup of the new phone again?  App will not delete the normal way.  I hit delete and it just stays on the phone and tries to download over and over.

    If it has a cloud icon it means its no longer on your device.  Tapping on the cloud will effectively reinstall the App from scratch to your device. 
    There is no way to remove it from the cloud because its not yours to remove from there. Its the general App repository, you are just given access to it to download content you've already purchased.

    Hi - you can do what you want to do with AirPlay from your iPhone - but unfortunately it is not as easy as the people in the Apple store told you - your first problem is that you have a non Apple router - you cannot extend a non Apple router wirelessly with the Express - you can only join the network and connect an ethernet device to it - you can however connect via ethernet and have it create a wireless network of its' own - you can set this up from your iPhone or the XP - but this is a complicated setup and would involve many different discussion areas of this forum - therefore I would suggest that you use your 90 days of support and consult directly with Apple to do this - go to this link - http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

  • How do you update the song/artist information on songs that you have loaded to the cloud.  Some are not displaying correctly on my Iphone.

    I have loaded all my music to the cloud from my hard drive.  When I am viewing the music on my PC from the cloud it wasn't displaying all of the song/artist information correctly.  I took the time to go into each one that wasn't displaying correctly using the "get info" option and I updated them all.  Now they are displaying properly on my PC but not on my Iphone.  I'm sure it was because of the way they were loaded.  My question is how do I update the information for the music that is on the cloud so it will display to my Iphone correctly (and the Ipad I just bought but haven't setup yet?

    Pretty sure I just downloaded the .exe files to the SD card (I have a directory called "drivers" there & ran from Windows, no need to boot from anything else. Didn't even need to use Safe Boot. The files do need an .exe extension IE someimes downloads as _exe. No idea why but would just need to rename if download has the underscore and not the period. The you can run them.
    Was so easy I really did not think about it. One of the Intel Platform drives does say "requires 1.60 update" so that is the one you need. Do the 1.60, reboot, and then the Intel update.
    Key point is the release note on the Intel Platform Installer
    "Release Notes
    1.Please install the  Windows BIOS version 1.60 or higher for Encore WT8-A (PDW09x) before installing this Intel Platform Installer update." note this says "BIOS" and not "USB BIOS" which is a smaller file.

    As i am new to the Cloud connectors i am curious to know how connectors work.
    Can any one help me understand how the cloud connector (program builder) step calls the custom logic that is written to perform an external action. I beleive that we need to create a configuration page that is plugged in the Cloud connector step, where credentials, field mapping etc are configured. I guess the custom logic is not included in the Configuration page.
    What next! Does this information get stored in the external database and based on the unique instancename and program builder step ID these configurations are retreived.
    Also, hitting the "configure" button in the Cloud connector step opens the URL that is set up in the Cloud Connector manager. So, when the contacts flow through this step how do they get processed? While the configuration page is configured in the step but not the Custom Logic URL.

    You are correct that Cloud Connectors leverage Program Builder and have a separate configuration setup page that handles login authentication and customization of the specific Connector.  However, each connector can have a drastically different configuration within the configuration page.  Which Cloud Connector(s) are you looking to set up?  Let me know which Connector I can help you with and I will post a walk-through with screenshots for that specific example.  Hopefully that will help!
    To clarify your comments in the meantime:
    Based on your selected Eloqua Instance name, login authentication (for connector login), and other attributes, the information will be automatically pulled from the chosen Cloud Connector and stored in Eloqua (usually on the contact record).  Depending on what connector you are using, you may want to create custom fields on the contact record to store this new information that is being transferred from the connector service (ie Webex attendance information).  Keep in mind that all of the information that you bring into Eloqua will still reside on the Cloud Connector Service/Company’s servers as well.
    Again – feel free to let me know which Cloud Connectors you are looking at and I can send over a more specific walk-through on how they work and how to configure them.

    I have an iMac OS X and just bought the months usage for illustrator. When I go to download the software however, it makes me download Creative Cloud first but it won't do anything past the creative cloud installer load-up.
    It will load up to the end and then nothing! Nothing pops up, and I still don't have Creative Cloud anywhere on my desktop.
    I'm very confused and really need this program ASAP. Is there anyway I can skip the whole Creative cloud setup and just get this program right onto my computer?
