Epson 2200 not working upgraded to 10.3.9

I foolishly upgraded my system to 10.3.9 from 10.3.2 and my Epson 22oo does not have a driver posted in Epsons site for the newer Apple operating system update. What gives. They stop writing software support for their older printers. Am I missing something simple?? I am only using this printer for the duo-tone B&W with 2 blacks so I need the proper driver.
I had to back intstall my older disks (10.3.2)to get it to work again. Pain!
Anyone have any ideas. I followed Epsons advice but it did nothing. Their site does not list any software since 2004 for this printer.

It will refer you also to article #25588 which shows the drivers installed in the 10.3.9 installation. It looks like your driver (S 2200) should have been installed in the default installation. I would assume that the upgrade would have taken care of this.
Then again, I'm not sure which "2200" you have. There are at least two, one of which is in the non-default group. See the article.

Epson scanner not work with Mountain Lion?

I have an Epson Expressio 1600Pro scanner with transparency adaptor. It has worked perfectly with previous Macs using OSX 10.4. I have recently bought a MacBook pro and upgraded it to OSX 10.8. I went to Epson's website to get a new driver etc. That tells you it can only be downloaded via Mac Software Update. That was duly done and installed. System prefs lists it under printer and scanners. OK
I have also installed Photoshop Elements 11 and expected to be able to scan direct to there but nothing seems possible. Going to Help says use Image capture or Preview. Yes! there is a small very rudimentary scanning window appears in both apps. Now the problem! Nothing happens. I have tried ALL the various meagre settings on offer, changing size, resolution, custom etc and all that happens is a small rectangle of a scan occurs but no resulting file.
I have been on to Epson who say ONLY image capture will work with 10.8 but as it is a 3rd party software they can offer no assistance. Well image capture does NOT work. I have spent all afternoon trying various things like restarting, unplugging, reconnecting etc etc nothing.
10.8 does seem very buggy. I have even had to stop using Mail and Safari simply because it doesn't work whereas Thunderbird and Firefox work very well.
But I digress, does anyone have any thoughts please?

The following comments are based on installing an Epson RX700 All-in-one printer/copier/scanner so they may not be applicable to you but, for what it's worth here they are. The RX700 scanner worked perfectly with Snow Leopard and then Lion but, when I changed to Mountain Lion, and used the app store to download and install the drivers, I lost the Epson scanner utility (ie. the user interface that gives you all the scanner options).
However, if I used System Preferences and then the Print and Scan option, it brought up a small window where I could select either Print or Scan. Selecting Scan or Open Scanner from this window then opens up a window with all the scanner options in it, including an overview scan. This window has the option to either Hide Details (all the detailed scanner options - resolution, size, output file name etc) or Show them. As far as I can see, this window is actually the Image Capture app, although it doesn't say so.
It might be a long shot but try changing the Auto Selection box in this window to one of the other options (eg. "Detect Separate Items") or setting the "Scan to" to a file.

ITune not working, upgrade failed

I am unable to upgrade to iTune 11.1 on my Mac (OS X Lion 10.7.5) The upgrade downloads and runs for a long time with and it hangs when it gets to "Running Package Scripts"    After a time it then throws the following error message: The update "iTunes" cannot be installed. An unexpected error has occurred.
After I attempted this today it froze up my computer and I had to do a Safe reboot just to get it running again.   Also had to do the type of reboot that resets the screen settings (Control, Option, P, R)
Now iTunes will not work at all on my Mac. When I click of the iTune icon a box appears on my screen that is blank except for an OK button.   When I click theOK button the the little "dot" under the iTunes icon goes off.
VERY weird . . . anyone out there have any ideas how to fix this.   As it is now iTunes is completely non functional on my imac.

Missing borderless print option on Epson 2200 since Leopard upgrade

Since upgrading to Leopard, I no longer fine an Epson borderless print option when I go to select printers. I have an Epson 2200 and am using with Photoshop CS. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Are you using the Epson driver, as opposed to the Gutenprint driver? I am using the Epson SP 2200 driver on 10.5.3 and can see and print with the borderless options in Photoshop. In the Print Dialog in the Paper Size menu, I see the following:
US Letter
US Letter (Standard - Minimize Margins)
US Letter (Sheet Feeder - Borderless)
US Letter (Roll Paper)
US Letter (Roll Paper - Borderless)

Epson 3800 not working with Mavericks even after downloading new driver

Epson 3800 printer stoped working when I upgraded to Mavericks. Downloaded the latest Epson driver, v9.17, keep getting error message and not able to print although I can add the printer in Printers/Scanners. Been on the phone with Epson, no results, they recommend talking wth Apple. Hah! Anyone else with this issue? Do I need to go back to Mountain Lion? How big a deal?

Is it an AL-C3800? If so, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669 shows it's supported. Did you try deleting and re-adding the printer? Installing updates?
If not of that works, try deleting the the /Library/Printer/EPSON and the /Library/Caches/Epson/ folder and then reinstalling the updates.

Epson printer not working after maverick 10.9.5 update

I recently updated my 2011 Macbook Pro with the OSX 10.9.5 software. Since then I have had a lot of trouble printing on my EPSON NX430 small in one wireless printer. I have tried deleting the printer from the printer list as well as removing the EPSON software, and re-downloading the EPSON print driver package from the apple website again. When I go to add the printer, in the print list, it seems to see it, but can't automatically find the print driver (I have to manually assign it.) When added the printer appears to be on "idle" and when I try to print the job seems to be sent though (the printer returns to idle) but nothing prints! I'm at my wits end with this - it is so annoying, and I've spent way too much time trying to troubleshoot. I do NOT recommend updating to Maverick!

Try some generic maintenance (we're trying to avoid reinstalling OS X):
Restart into Safe Mode, which does some system repairs. When it's finished, restart normally.
OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
Next, Reset the Printing System:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Now, add the printer in Print & Scan prefs.
(PS - even if this doesn't fix it, it eliminates many possible glitches for troubleshooting. The things you've done just scratched the surface.)
BTW - you didn't need to download the Epson package. The new Apple driver paradigm is that the driver is automagically installed when you add the printer in Print & Scan prefs. And if that doesn't work, you have other issues with OS X.

Epson Projector not working as second monitor

Does anyone know how to set up an Epson Projector to a Macbook Pro? I have a mini display to VGA adapter. We are running Bootcamp and Windows XP Pro. You can make the 2nd screen in the display properties in a continuous page. So you can see on the projection but you can not make the whole desktop a projection. So it will work as a continuous desktop but not as a primary desktop.
Any help is appreciated!

For some reason the 'Display Properties' does not always 'stick' and often does not do what you are trying to do. (at least that is what I have found) so going to the advanced settings and creating a 'scheme' has fixed issues similar to this.

Epson R300 not working on MacBook Pro

Hello again.
I am experiencing a problem using my Epson R300 Ink Jet printer, it refuses to load glossy or heavy paper and when I print on thin paper it becomes extremely green.
When I use the same printer on my old iMac (the round one with the screen on an adjustable arm) it works with no problems.
I've opened Printer Setup Utility and removed the printer, then re-installed the latest driver for Intel macs... doesn't seem to work.
Any suggestions?

edit: Forgot to mention I'm running OS 10.4.5 because I've had problems with freezes and non-startup after updating to 10.4.6...

What you could do is just access the documents you wish to print off the Macbook using the "Connect to Server" option in finder under "Go".
But otherwise I don't know what to tell you. It could be an issue with the computer itself. Try using different USB ports, there could be an interruption in the port your using. Or if it's Firewire, use another Firewire port.
Otherwise I can't go much further than that.

Note: If you are going to connect to the Macbook from the iMac, you'll need to make sure sharing is enabled for the Macbook, and you'll need to know the IP address.

Epson Printer Not Working

I have an Epson Stylus SX510w and since updating to Mavericks the scanner won't work. The printer works fine but the scanner does not.
I have tried using Image Capture, Preview, Photoshop and also system preferences>printers & scanners. In each case I am met with the message 'an error occured trying to connect to the scanner'.
I have the latest software update, I checked, and I even downloaded and installed it again just to make sure (Epson printer driver ver. 2.7)
All suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

The error actually came up after it opened the new window for the scanner preview, and before it warmed up was when the error message occured.
I had actually tried that a couple of times - adding a new printer, removing them both, adding them again - to no avail, and in the "use" field I had checked it was the right model selected as oppsoed to auto.
Believe it or not it worked by when adding it as a new printer, in the "use" field choosing the "select printer" option and manually searching for my printer model. I figured I may as well try that before another printer model and it worked! Who knows why it went in the first place but all is well now.

Printer sharing with Epson printer not working

I have an iMac using OS X 10.5.5 with 2 printers, an Apple LaserWriter Select 360 and an Epson Stylus Photo 820. I want to share these printers with Windows XP machines. The Apple LaserWriter works fine. I can print from the Windows machine without any problems.
The Windows machine sends the file to the Epson, but it never shows up in the Epson print queue. Drivers from Epson have been installed and Windows indicates every thing is OK. Windows sees the printer and does not indicate any problem.
Every thing else is the same for both printers.
Any ideas?

OS X printing is based on postscript.
Print queues on OS X expect to receive postscript.

Epson Printer Not Working Over WIFI

I have an Epson XP-400 printer and am having trouble getting anything to print over the Wifi connection (I've already contacted Epson and they're saying it's probably an issue with OS X). The printer queue keeps telling me "The printer is not connected". I've gone through the whole wifi setup, and have gotten it to print in the past just fine, but whenever the printer goes to sleep, it ceases to wake up when I tell it to print. I have to manually go upstairs and hit the power button. But even then, it takes another minute or two to finally decide to print the thing. It's a huge pain in the butt...
Is this an issue with how my settings are configured inside OS X?

I was wondering if one of the recent mountain lion updates has caused this issue eg the Airport Update.
The recent updates were to the Airport Utility which is only used to configure Apple Airport base stations such as Airport Express, Time Capsule, and Airport Base Station and an update to the firmware in the Airport base stations. There was also a recent update to the Canon printer drivers. So unless you actually ran Disk Utility and changed the configuration and/or updated the base station firmware they would have no effect on your printer connectivity.
You may be encountering WiFi network interference from other WiFi networks on the same or adjacent channels. There are a number of apps that will analyze your local WiFi network environment, If you do not have one there are some available at reasonable cost from the App Store. There are several free apps but they only show your particular WiFi signal. You need one that shows ALL the network activity in your environment. WiFi Radar is one that will do nicely. If you find another network on the same or adjacent network channels when the printer quits working configure your wireless router/base station to work on another channel. That may solve your problem.

Adobe Flash Player "upgrade" is NOT working/upgrading....

I have : HP laptop, new less than 6 months; Windows 7; IE; and according to my Programs List, I have the 'current version' of Adobe Flash Player installed.......yet, when I try to view a video on youtube, or play a game through Facebook, it shows I need to "upgrade the Flash Player". I have followed the links, all directions step-by-step, to upgrade, install, uninstall and reinstall the Flash Player. I then check the list, it shows I have the most recent version, yet it still doesn't work. VERY FRUSTRATED. Any ideas to what is wrong? Or, is this a current product issue?!? Would appreciate any help!!

Adobe Web Premium CS4 setup.exe not working (upgrade)

Just bought and downloaded Web Premium upgrade, extracted with no issue, ran setup.exe and the mouse flickered but nothing happened. No service listed in taskmanager, nothing. After googling a while, I used msconfig to turn off everything possible on startup, mcafee, carbonite, video card GUIs, java runtime, etc etc. rebooted, again nothing. I'm upgrading from Studio8 which installed with no trouble. I'm pulling my hair out!
I run vista ultimate 32bit, 700gigs free space, 4gig ram, 1gig video card, 2.4ghz dual core intel chip. I also have premiere elements and Photoshop elements package installed (v7) but they installed without a hitch.
Any suggestions?
PS: I did read through these forums and was trying to avoid editing my registry etc. When I go into add/remove programs, there is no trace of CS4 (thinking setup was running hidden or something) nor are there cs4 directories created in /programfiles/adobe.

any input on this? Adobe mail customer support recommended disabling UAC and/or using a new user account... neither worked.
