Epson can do only 1st print job via AirportExpress

I have an Epson M1400 connected to the AirportExpress. After the 1st print job no other print jobs are executed. After switching off and switching on the printer a new print job can be done.
When connecting the printer via USB to the MacBook I can print multiple print jobs as nornal without a problem.
All drivers and OSX 10.6.8 are updated.
Anyone an idea what to do?

Hi 4epHaus,
On the iPad, if you press the home button (the circle indentation with the rounded square) two times, a list of currently running apps appear. Look for an app called Print Center. Select that app and choose the print job, then touch the cancel button.

  • How can I make my print job go fast again?

How can I make my print job go fast again? Since february when there was a update for snow leopard, all of my print jobs almost take forever to finish.. a pdf file 10MB size will take about 1 hour to send to the printer that is a Nashuatech mp c3500.
And yes, if the pdf for example is 20MB size, it will take about 2 hours to get it done..
    My equipment is:
    Macbook pro OS X 10.6.8
    Nashuatech NRG MPC3500

Sometimes, Software Update doesn't apply updates entirely correctly, and odd issues can happen.
You might download and install the latest combo update for 10.6.8, which is at http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 . Before installing, bring up Disk Utlity (on your hard drive in applications/utilties) and repair permissions. Install the update, then repair permissions again when done.

  • Add print job via DI Server?

Is there a way to add a print job for the delivery note when adding a delivery to the database via DI Server?
In the SBO Client you can set that a delivery note is automatically printed when adding a delivery. I'm developing a software for pocket PCs to edit picklists and add deliveries and I want exactly this printing feature for my software.

Well, you could define an alert + print the required objects "manually"...
...or you could checkout the DI Events Service sample which provides notifications about transactions based on the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification stored procedure.
But you will have to do the printing anyway. Sorry.
Please note that there are discussions about future notification mechanisms; watch-out for changes!

  • Pinter won't print; can't cancel failed print job; cannot print anything

If I try to cancel a print job,  the printer dialog box claims the print job is being deleted, but it never is.  The only nway I can get rid of the message and clean up the print queue is to reinstall the printer.  This is absurd.  HP's help is anything but.  What is the problem.  I have a Deklsjet 1660.

    Debra,
Look at my solution just above your post. Go here:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us
Scroll to the bottom of the page for the download link, and download it to your desktop. The link looks like this:
Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package now.
Double click the icon that is on your desktop to install it. Startt eh program through "start", then "Programs".
Find Adobe reader in the list, highlight it and click the "Remove" button.
Got to www.adobe.com and download Adobe Reader to your desktop, and install it. You should be good to go.

  • Errors when sending a print job via samba with CUPS 1.4.6-3

Hello people, this is my last resource i made the things posted in the wiki for CUPS and CUPS via samba and CUPS specific problems and cant find the solution.
When i send a print job using  HP LaserJet Professional p1102w with driver hpcups 3.11.5, requires proprietary plugin i recieve this message in localhost:631
    "/usr/lib/cups/filter/hpcups failed"
if i change driver to hpijs, 3.11.5, requires proprietary plugin i recieve this message in localhost:631
    "Session setup failed: NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE"
the hp-plugin is installed, in fact i have to change the link from python 3 to phyton 2.7 to work properly.
the uri for the printer is the form smb://username:password@domain/hostname/printer_name also tried smb://username@hostname/printer_name and smb://username:password@hostname/printer_name
i am in a Domain with Active Directory, all the share from server to my computer is working fine so i dont think its a problem from samba. All the data for the uri is correct in fact is my desktop pc at work with window$, i am trying to send a print job from my laptop with Arch.

  • I just upgraded and now can't cancel a print job.

The icon to delete is not there anymore. It was so easy to cancel. I'm trying to print a photo and it wanted to print on paper. That mistake will waste a lot of ink, so I want to cancel the job, but can't. Of course, I could unplug my printer, but obviously I don't want to have to do that every time I want to cancel a job. Help!

No it's not, that's the reason you should click the x if you want to cancel a print job. If is has already started, pausing it will pause a partially finished job. Subsequently canceling it may cause corrupted print output or a communications error the printer ought to handle.
If there is nothing in the print queue then the job has already been sent to the printer and your Mac is finished with it. In that case, use the printer's front panel control to cancel the job.

  • Can I retrieve a print job that I accidently deleted?

I was going to print a saved print job and I accidently deleted it from my print job list. Is there a way to get it back?

See if you can locate it either in the Trash or by using Spotlight.

  • Cancel all print jobs via command line

    Hi there,
I'm trying to write a logout hook that cancels all existing print jobs on my client machines.
From the man pages of lprm I believe it should be:
    lprm -
But when I run this as root I get the following returned:
lprm: The printer-uri attribute is required!
I used to run this using Apple Remote Desktop under 10.4 and it worked fine, it doesn't work now either remotely or as admin on the client itself.
    Have things changed under Leopard?

    Hi
    +*". . . Have things changed under Leopard? . . ."*+
Absolutely. Did you have any doubts? For example apropos has disappeared yet the man page is still there. Its not the only thing that has disappeared. Clearly nicl had to go because of NetInfo's demise. These are just some of the differences I've found. No doubt there will be others?
You could look at the man pages for cancel and lp. They appear to be the same thing. Might be up to what you want?

  • I can see only one Printer with Apple Talk, but there are five ???

I have a problem on only one mac, with the Apple Talk. We have over 100 Macintosh and all the other machines see the five printers. But this one can only see "one" printer???
What is this? We change the switch port but nothing.
Can i delete any chaches oder preferences to clear the printers???
    The problem Mac have 10.3.9

Have you added the other printers to the problem mac?
If you have then my guess is that it is a network issue. How are the printers and macs networked?

  • Windows XP Home can't find HP printer connected via Ethernet

I posted this on the Bonjour forum, but this might be a better place for it. So:
We just got an HP Photosmart D7260, which I've connected to our network via Ethernet.
My MacBook and Kittendaddy's eMac found it with no problem, but when I boot into XP Home, the Printer Wizard can't find it, and Bonjour sees it but can't find the correct driver (even though I've installed it). When I click on "Have disk", it takes me to the disk contents but I can't seem to find the file it wants.
    Any ideas?
God, why is everything so complicated when it comes to Windows? It drives me crazy, I tell you.

Obviously the job exists. I've tried issuing another Open with the same name and It complains that the job already exists. As I understand it, I have to attach to the job and issue a stop_iob in order to dispose of it.
    Thanks
    Steve

OK, mystery solved, sort of. If I close my sqlplus session, and log in again, issuing the same sql, it works.
I suppose I should read the message "job does not exist" as something like "already attached to a job, detach or disconnect"
Can anyone shed some light on this? I guess it means you can only attach to one job per session, or that only one handle can be issued per job per session. But I'm only guessing.
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • How can I cause HP Mobile Printing print jobs to default to duplex printing?

I purchased an HP Officejet Pro 8620 a few days ago--for use with my Windows 7 PCs. I want all print jobs to default to two-sided (i.e., duplex) printing.
I used Windows' Devices and Printers to access the printer's preferences. I selected "Two-sided (Duplex) Printing" as the Printing Shortcut. This causes all print jobs from Windows to default to two-sided printing.
(Side-point: I notice that all of the printing shortcuts have padlocks on them; if I change any of the properties, a new entry ("User Specified Print Settings") is created; I press the Cancel button to avoid creating the new entry.)
Then I opened a 10-page PDF on an Android device and printed it using HP Mobile Printing (i.e., the HP Print Service Plugin on my Android device). The plugin interface has limited print options; duplex isn't one of them. The printer did not print the PDF duplexed!
How can I cause *all* print jobs (including those from HP Mobile Printing) to default to duplex printing?

    Hi,
There are several different printing solutions available for Android, such as HP's built-in print solution for Android, the HP ePrint mobile app, HP's built-in print solution for Android, etc..
As much as I aware, none will allow setting duplex printing as default, still.. mobile printing is more limited than a standard PC..
The HP plugin allow printing to a printer connected to the same local network from several apps which support the plugin, its features are limited as included in my previous link.
The HP ePrint mobie app allow printing to both a printer connected to the same network or via the cloud using the HP ePrint service to print even when the Android device is not connected to the same network as the printer.
As well there is a new 3rd party service, the Mopria Print Service which allow printing from specific apps through the local network, it should be quite similar to HP's built-in print solution for Android
The following document list different printing solutions available for Android and can be viewed as a reference:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03679829&tmp_task=useCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=e...
The following document also list different prinitng solutions for Apple or Android devices and include a description of any of the options I included above:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03722645&tmp_task=setupCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc...
I surely do not mean to confuse you, but would like to provide you any of the options (Yes, I know, it is quite a confusing field..) and worth trying if it may allow changing the default settings, I personally not aware so it worth trying..
    Hope that helps,
    Shlomi

  • Can I use ARD3 to send print job to client's printer?

I like the sound of ARD3 for everything else, but before I buy it, I need one specific feature - when I am controlling the client's computer, can I send a print job to the client's printer?
    Thanks a bunch!

When you're controlling a computer you can do everything you would be able to do if you were sitting at the chair in front of the computer.

  • Can I reprint a completed print job from CUPS?

I recently printed a document that I cannot access anymore. I need to reprint it and I can see the job in CUPS but there is no option to restart the job. I need to at least be able to open it, if I can't reprint it I can take a screen shot or something..

IN the print qeue you can select Hide/Show print jobs. Select Show and it will list all past print jobs. Highlight the print job you want and Reprint/Resume the job.
