Epson Printing Trouble
I recently bought a Mac Book Pro back in May. I installed my Epson NX510 about week ago and had no trouble using it. I printed several papers with no trouble. But last night I went to print a paper and the printer wouldn't work. I spent over an hour on the phone with a representative from Epson only for them to conclude it was a Mac issue. We tried everything known to mankind, including reseting the printer, removing and re-adding the printer on the mac, "pinging" the printer to make sure it was detected by the Mac and nothing was solved. The Epson guy said that this problem is most likely caused by a corrupted file in the Mac, which could have been caused by an update of the system. I'm all out of options but I really need my printer to work. Here is the error message I receive when I try to print papers:
/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacOS/ rastertoescpII failed
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Since you have tried deleting and re-adding the printer, try resetting the printing system.
Here's how to reset your printing system:
1. Control-click or right-click a print queue in the "Printers" pane.
2. Choose "Reset printing system..." from the contextual menu.
3. Click "OK" in the "Are you sure..." confirmation sheet.

Epson printer not working after maverick 10.9.5 update
I recently updated my 2011 Macbook Pro with the OSX 10.9.5 software. Since then I have had a lot of trouble printing on my EPSON NX430 small in one wireless printer. I have tried deleting the printer from the printer list as well as removing the EPSON software, and re-downloading the EPSON print driver package from the apple website again. When I go to add the printer, in the print list, it seems to see it, but can't automatically find the print driver (I have to manually assign it.) When added the printer appears to be on "idle" and when I try to print the job seems to be sent though (the printer returns to idle) but nothing prints! I'm at my wits end with this - it is so annoying, and I've spent way too much time trying to troubleshoot. I do NOT recommend updating to Maverick!
Try some generic maintenance (we're trying to avoid reinstalling OS X):
Restart into Safe Mode, which does some system repairs. When it's finished, restart normally.

Next, Reset the Printing System:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Now, add the printer in Print & Scan prefs.
(PS - even if this doesn't fix it, it eliminates many possible glitches for troubleshooting. The things you've done just scratched the surface.)
BTW - you didn't need to download the Epson package. The new Apple driver paradigm is that the driver is automagically installed when you add the printer in Print & Scan prefs. And if that doesn't work, you have other issues with OS X. -
Can I increase communication speed between my Epson printer and the airport?
I am having trouble printing large documents on my Epson printer. typically I can print up to 10 pages of a document and then the printing fails. In speaking with Epson, they are telling me it is the communication speed between the router (Airport Express) and the printer. I am registering about 26 mbps and they are recommending 52 mbps. It is connected through the wifi. Signal strength is excellent. The printer is in a second floor home office, and the Airport is located downstairs on the 1st floor about 15-20 feet away. Is there a way to increase the communication speed without having to move the Airport upstairs (which of course would cause connection problems with other devices). Thank you
Please check out the following AirPort User tip about base station placement for better bandwidth performance. The key is that a slight change in position of either the AirPort or the Epson printer may improve the situation.

Epson Print CD v2.00.00A crashes on launch
I have installed Epson Print CD on two G5s. One works fine so it is not the program. The other G5 begins to open the app but I get this message. "The application Epson Print CD quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Relaunch to launch the application again. Click Report to see more details and send a report to Apple." I have reported to Apple. I would like to know how to trouble shoot this myself but I need some competent help. Here are the details:

Problems printing from LR 4.4 to Epson printer
Mac 10.9.5; Lightroom 4.4; I just got an Epson Printer Stylus Photo R2000; when I print from LR it will only print a 5x7 rectangle of the picture and not the whole thing; trying to print letter size or larger; set all sizes correctly. Printer prints whole page from Apple programs but not from Light Room; I spent an hr with Epson who initially said it was an apple problem; spent another hour with Apple support which got the printer printing correctly from Apple programs but it continues to have same problem from Lightroom. So Apple said it's an Adobe problem. What do I do to get LR to work correctly?
I am back and still having trouble with Lightroom. Someone suggested I downgrade to LR 4.1 (from 4.4) but that didn't help. To reiterate: I have a MacBook Pro, using 10.9.5. I got a new Epson Stylus Photo R2000 printer and LR is having trouble communicating with the printer. When I try to print a letter size (or other size) picture, a 5x7 partial tile of the picture prints off center bleeding to the top. The only way I can print a whole picture is the size it 5x7; then it prints the whole picture but it is still off center, not as it appears in LR print view. I have talked with Epson who said I had Mac conflicts; I spoke with Mac who got rid of the conflicts so it can print fine from Apple programs like Pages, or the internet. It is only LR that won't print right. Obviously I got a photo printer to print photos so I would like help resolving this. It has been very frustrating that although I could talk with both Apple and Epson support, when I tried to contact Adobe both by phone and Live chat I was told that LR is not supported except on this forum. How do I remove Epson Printer Software Update 2.15.1?
I have two Epson Perfection 1670 Scanners. Epson Printer Software Update 2.15.1 installed today on my new MBP, and both scanners immediately stopped working. A hard reboot does not solve the problem. I had the same trouble on two other Macs running OS X 10.7 after similar software updates. The scanners still work on computers without the software updates, and on computers [including a G4 iMac] with earlier versions of OS X.
The symptom is this: I try to import a scan from Preview, and the scanner light starts, but the motor stalls at the start of a scan, and I receive the message 'Scanner is warming up', and then nothing more happens. If I try re-starting the scan, I have a message telling me that the scanner reported an error.
How can the software update be removed, and the previous software be restored? Will Time Machine do it? If so, then what needs changing, please?I was told by Epson:
If you have a Time Machine setup and a restore point saved for your computer that is earlier than the day you performed the update, Time Machine should take care of the problem. It is meant to restore your computer to the way it was at the time of the restore point. If you have any more detailed questions about time machine, I would suggest contacting Apple support.
Another option is to install an older version of the ICA driver. If you would rather do this, reply to this message and let us know so that and we can have the file uploaded and then send you a link to download it.
I opted for the second solution (the previous ICA driver) and they sent "ICA v530". This too didn't work.
What DID work was manually replacing the current driver (version 5.6) with a version of the driver from my other computer. . . this computer had version 5.11 of the driver.
To find the driver:
go to Library -> Image Capture -> Devices. Go to file name EPSON Scanner. THIS is the driver.
"Get Info" will tell you what version you have.
What is interesting/odd is that all my computers are updated by Apple's "Software Update". Yet only one computer (attched to the scanner via USB), had the problematic driver version 5.6.

I have an Epson printer on a Wifi network. Windows 7 desktop is running the network, and my wife's HP Win 7 laptop prints to it just fine. My MacBook Pro running Yosemite won't detect it, and I do have the latest driver installed. I didn't have a problem when I had a Canon Pixma on the network, but when I replaced it with the Epson nothing seems to work. I go to add a printer to the queue and only the FAX function of the printer shows up - not the WS-4530 print function. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Please??? :-)

Can't find printer in epson printer utility
just set up new epson sylus photo r220. works great but can't check ink levels because when i open epson printer utility no printers show up. if i try opening the printer fron the "print & fax" box in system preferences and click on "supply levels" i get a "information not available" box.
any ideas?Syd, you only need the GIMP Print driver if your printer doesn't have a driver for Tiger that is available from your printer's manufacturer. If reinstalling the printer's driver from the Cd that came with your Epson doesn't work, then you'll probably have to reinstall the system this time deselecting the GIMP Print driver as an optional install. Then install the Epson driver according to the instructions that came with your printer if the driver isn't already installed by Tiger.

I installed the current Bonjour printer services software on the Windows machine, and separately installed the driver software for the Epson printer on the WIndows machine. Running the bonjour wizard, I get an alert saying 'I don't have sufficient access to my computer to connect to the selected printer'.
The printer has 'sharing' turned on from the Mac end; this works with a Powerbook via the wireless connection. Sharing is also turned on in the Windows printer control panel for this printer (under properties). The Mac is a G5 running 10.5.8. When I try to print a page from the Windows machine it gets hung in the print queue.
Any advice how to proceed would be appreciated!

How?print report on A3 paper to epson printer
HI,
Now I am using Report Builder 6.0.5.35.0. to write report to print to printer epson LQ2080 for A3 paper size 16.5 x 8.3 inch with fond size 15. But it keep printing in fond size 10 with maximum 80 character per line. The remaining sentence will come down as 2nd line.
I do the following but it does not work.
1. In Data Model-System Parameter- Mode -Property Pallet-Initial Velue='Character".
2. In Layout Model- Header Section-Property Pallet. Under section head,the Width=16,height=8.Under Character Mode,the report width=210,height=66.
3. In layout Model-Main section % trailer section - the setting is same as No.2
4. In Data Model- system parameter-Desformat.
I put in initial value=wide255. Where this printer control file contains:
printer "wide255"
height 66
width 210
before report esc "g"
after page control(L)
return control(M)
linefeed control(J)
5. esc"g" is epson print control code for fond size 15.
Can someone share with me what goes wrong?

3) What print mode are you using; PDF or ActiveX?

How do i reinstall my system 10.8-Having Epson Printer Issues
I am having a massive problem with an Epson Stylus C88+ printer that used to work with my new iMac Late 2012 computer using System 10.8.4
Recently there was an update V2.5 for this printer. Once I installed the update the printer stopped working.
I now get a Epson Filter Failed error message and have tried everything to resolve it I could find on the internet.
Something in that upgrade killed the printer for me and the only thing I could find that I didn't do was to reinstall my system 10.8.
Does anyone know and easy way to do this which won't cause me too much pain? Or is there another fix for this issue?
The printing error message is:

I tried to rename the computer in the Sharing pref, then went to the Printer and Scan preferences to make sure this is the name I used as well and nothing works.Open the Sharing pane in System Preferences. If the Computer Name is not set, enter a name. You may first have to click the lock icon in the lower left corner and authenticate to unlock the settings. According to one report, the name must be set to "machd" (without the quotes) in order to get the printer working. After that, you may be able to change the name.
The bug that causes the crash seems to be fixed in the latest version of the Epson printing software.
