"Epson Utility 4 Cannot be executed"
Hi, I am using a Macbook Pro running Mac OS X Version 10.6.6, using an EPSON DX7450 Printer/scanner.
I recently had to change the ink cartridges and followed the online instructions. All seemed to have gone well, but upon printing documents I have noticed that there are a lot of blank spaces and so I would like to re-open the ink cartridges to double check I installed them correctly.
EPSON's website says that to do this, you double click on the utility icon in the applications folder. I have no such folder, but did a quick google search and realised I could find this by going:
Mac HD >
library >
printers >
EPSON >
inkjet printer2 >
Utility >
UT4 >
EPSON Printer utility 4
I dragged the icon into my dock and received the following error message upon trying to open the icon:
"Epson Utility 4 Cannot be executed. The printer is not recognised or this software cannot function properly using the current connections".
Any help would be much appreciated.
Same problem. I had a software update from Apple yesterday that had an epson driver update in it. I said, "sure why not".
Today as I was printing I saw the red light flashing on my (directly plugged in) Epson Stylus Photo R265. Went to check the levels and Epson Printer Utility 3 alias in Application folder couldn't find the Epson Printer Utility 3.
Checked out this thread and saw that the utility is in the library and found that it was in fact no longer in "/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Utility".
But there is Utility 4.app and Utility Lite.app. Utility 4 will not launch and Utility Lite says, "Printer not registered.
And so I googled "Epson Stylus Photo R265" which brought me to Epsons UK (United Kingdom) page and redownloaded the original (the one I had downloaded over a year ago) "Gutenprint v5.2.3" driver and walla "/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter/Utility/UT4/Epson Printer Utility 3.app" is back.
And I didn't even have to repair the alias link. Oh yea and I checked my levels. Need yellow.

Good day,
On Search Page, I have searched for the record(s) then deleted a record and got confirmation message i.e. Record has deleted. Next when I search for any record I'm getting below error.

The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost.
Could you please help me to fix this issue. Your response is highly appreciated.

C compiler cannot create executables on fresh install
This has happened to me twice now on this laptop. Straight after installing my system and the packages from my saved cache, I try to build a few of my AUR packages, only to be told that the compiler can't create executables. Somehow I fixed it the last time and I can't remember what I did. Purging gcc hasn't helped.
I don't have a fast (or even reliable) internet connection, so I can't do a system upgrade as I've got a limit of < 250 MB.
For the record, I'm trying to compile pacman-color, and this is what I get:

patching file src/pacman/package.c

patching file src/pacman/query.c
patching file src/pacman/remove.c

I'm at a loss as to how I can get this working again, or why it happens in the first place.

btw: partial updates doesn't work with binary based rolling release distroes. Either update the system or use a fixed release distro.
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/4.6.1/cc1: error while loading shared libraries: libcloog-isl.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
This is one of the problems you will get when you have a partialy updated system. (or use pacman -S/R -dd)

Hello guys,
I am new to java... I am trying to develop a web application using
1.Struts1.2
2.tomcat 5.5
3.eclipse 3.2.2Big mistake. Nobody new to Java should jump straight into webapps, let alone using a framework like Struts. Debatably, even Eclipse should be left alone.
It's precisely because of this that you're having problems. Presumably you're following a tutorial or something, but - as demonstrated - as soon as it goes wrong, you're stuck. Learn some core Java first, trust me -
Search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes
I'm getting the following error ..... The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost .... in the following scenario ....
My 1st page is a search page with resulting rows from which the user can select specific rows to process ..... next button will populate the VO for the 2nd page by manually looping thru the selected rows in the VO of the 1st page. Loop logic is in the AM and it calls a method in the VORowImpl that uses setAttributeInternal .... the 2nd page displays the selected rows .....
Pressing the back button of the 2nd page will display the 1st page and if the user tries to do a new search .... the error shows up.
Any suggestions on how to handle this?
Thank you.It seems to me that you are using the same VO on both the pages. If that is the case try to use separate VO for each page.
And as suggested by Sumit, Never use/ rely on browser back button. Instead put a Back button on the second page through you can handle the event yourself rather than leaving on the mercy of browser.

Hello,
I'm working a developing an OA page that will displays the contents of an Oracle table and allows the user to update records in a table as needed.
When I hit submit button to save the changes in the update page, the control goes back to main page (where all the table records are displayed). It displays the updated record with the new information. However when I hit "Go" button on the mainPG, I get the error "The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost. and the changes are not committed.
ANy suggestions on where I should look will be greatly appreciated.

I have connected TABULAR Model to Excel, and in the pivot the filter is on multiple dimensions. When doing the drillthrough action it gives error - Error: Show Details cannot be executed when multiple items are selected in a report filter field or in a slicer
Is there any workaround to this error? so that drillthrough can be done even with multiple selection.Hi Vikas,
The reason behind the error message requires the knowledge on what happens at the backend. When you perform a drill-through action, a query is sent to Analysis Services. This query is expressed in a query language called Multi-Dimensional Expression (MDX).
Since the MDX language doesnot support drill-through command against a set (collection of tuples) an error is persisted.
For now, there is no workaround as it is a limitation of the underlying language that is generating the query.
When multiple items are selected you lose the ability to drill-down on individual metrics. To resolve you must either:
1. Select a single Item.
2. Select all items.
Hope this helps!

Front-end functions cannot be executed in the background in SM37
Hi ,
I have developed a BDC program for Tcode HRUSER . The program is working fine in Frontend but when Executed in Background through SM37 gives a error -:
"Front-end functions cannot be executed in the background".
I am not using any function like GUI_DOWNLOAD or anything like that .
Thanks
Nikhil Arya.Hi ,
No , the program is not taking any inputs from the user .
when i am executing the program in background mode it is just showing the messages at the end which i am writing in the program for eg:
"creating a user for employee 2306328".
So , only the list of messages comes at the end .
Thanks

Try find these files which package provides!
Edit: maybe package 'wine' provides this but as I see these libs are in /usr/lib/wine.

Since I installed Java 7 update 51 accessing the EMC VNX Unisphere Console cause the following error: java.util.HashMap cannot be cast to java.awt.RenderingHints.
I rolled back to Apple Java 1.6 -005 now I am getting the following error: plug-in failure.
I think this is cused by the fact that the EMC console application has been written for java 7 and not java 6. Has anybody faced and solved the "java.util.HashMap cannot be cast to java.awt.RenderingHints." error ?Hi Yaakov,
The error is thrown from the eclipselink.jar:2.5.1 which is a JPA provider .
Is the above jar bundled in the Oracle Product you are working upon or was this downloaded from external site ?
If the jar is bundled with the Oracle Product, go ahead a log a SR with Oracle Support with Toplink product group to drill down on the issue, as the issue is happening internally or thrown by the Eclipselink implementation and we've no control....
Hope it helps!!
Thanks,
Vijaya -
I have a Power PC G4 which is running on OSX 10.5.8, it has the AirPort utility but cannot connect to the internet as my iMac can, I think I might need an AirPort Card? Is that the case or do I need something different to connect to a wireless modem?
Welcome!
Only one variant of the PowerMac G4 could use the faster Airport Extreme Card. The rest used the original Airport card that is pretty slow.
To get fast wireless without buying more than one thing, consider this:
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Edimax/EW7722IN/
It goes in an available PCI slot
There are USB solutions also. However, all PowerMac G4 towers had only slower USB 1.1 ports, so any USB wireless adaptor can only run at about wireless 'B" speeds (slow) unless you also install a PCI USB 2.0 adaptor card. Doing that would allow a USB wireless adaptor to run at its maximum rated speed. These items working together would accomplish that:
USB wireless "dongle:"
Newer Technology MAXPower 802.11n/g/b USB Adapter + Plug and play direct or with extension cradle
USB PCI adaptor:
http://eshop.macsales.com/Search/Search.cfm?Ntk=Primary&Ns=P_Popularity%7c1&Ne=5 000&N=7069&Ntt=USB+PCI
Each approach has its advantages. The PCI wireless card is a one-piece solution that takes up no desk space. The USB2 card+USB2 Dongle gives you more fast ports for transferring date from other external USB devices (primarily cameras and external hard drives) at hugely faster rates than can the original ports. I have a USB 2 PCI card in my G4 tower strictly for transferring images from my digital SLR camera in a timely manner. -
[SOLVED]C compiler cannot create executables DUE TO MISSING DEV. PACKS
Hi there, I was trying to build "lib32-libpcap" from AUR using yaourt when the gcc(?) reported an error as following:

Am running a up-to-date x64 Arch with [multilib] enabled; perhaps it's a silly mistake I made somewhere but I'm no dev and so cannot figure out what went wrong in the config.log....please help with your kindness and thanks in advance!

Well...at least as up-to-date as on March 2nd(when I did last system-wide upgrade); trying to update system tonight to see whether this works.
stronnag wrote:If you have multilib and testing enabled, you also need multilib-testing, otherwise (as I know from bitter experience), you get these hard to track down errors.
Nope I didn't enable [testing]; I've discovered some packages in [multilib], namely gcc-multilib or something similar(with the -multilib subfix) and some of these packages belong to the group "multilib-devel". Is installing these packages a must for compiling 32-bit packages? -

Another suggestion I received was to use the following command...
"rvm install 1.9.3 --with-gcc=clang"
but I get the same results.
At this point I've exhausted my options and I am not sure what to try next, other than starting from scratch and reloading the entire OS.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
Thanks,
RichPhew! That was harrowing.
Found this, and it solved the problem. Refreshingly, it was written in English and done well at that!

Follow all the instructions. The main missing ingredient for me was downloading the developer tools for the command line from Apple. I had to register there, but it was free. These tools seemed to install the compiler where it was needed. You might need a github something or other, I don't know. I think I downloaded it as some point. Anyway, I did everything this author told me, and now I have my first rails app! Good luck - Joel -
Hi there,
We are getting this error in our BPM:
Object CL_SWF_XI_MSG_BROKER method SEND_SYNCHRON cannot be executed
while sending a message synchronously. This doesn't happen for all the sync send, but I see sometimes. Why do we see this inconsistency in the sync send step of the BPM?
Has anyone encountered this problem, and fixed it? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
KarmaHi
First of all check the mapping i.e transformation step in the BPM (Sync mapping). This you can check from the workflow log. Check all these interface mappings are using correct message type and interfaces
Have a look into these SAP notes-830803,710445
