Epson Workforce 30 printer won't print

I have installed all the latest updates, including an Apple Epson printer update, and the printer driver from Epson's website.
Still this thing won't print. All that happens is an error in the printer queue.
Anyone have any clues?

Some suggestions to try
Another USB cable
Turning off the Epson power for a minute and then back on again
Removing the print queue and adding it again
Resetting the printing system
Note that when you reset the printing system the printers in Print & Fax are deleted, but not their printer drivers. So you don't need to run the printer driver installers again, you just need to add the print queues again. For a USB connected printer, this can be done by simply unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back into the Mac agian.
How to Reset the Printing System
1. Open System Preferences > Print & Fax
2. Move your mouse over the Printers list
3. Hold down the Control button and click the mouse
4. Click the "Reset printing system ..." popup
5. Restart your Mac

iOS devices use AirPrint to connect to a supported printer. OS X will use Bonjour to locate and connect to the same printer.
With the Epson connected to your wireless router, when you open Print & Scan and click the plus button to add, does the Epson appear in a small box with a heading of Nearby Printers?
If not and a window appears showing Default, Fax, IP and Windows in the toolbar, do you see the Epson with the Default view selected?

Thanks again for your suggestion about Photoshop crashing since
trying to print with Yosemite. I did go to the Adobe site, then the Apple Apps,
and downloaded the new driver for the Epson Workforce 40 printer. Computer
restarted. Unfortunately, Photoshop still crashes. But I appreciate your idea, and
seems it should have worked. Happy Holidays!

  • Why can't I print from my ipad 2 on my epson workforce 840 printer??? it show that there isn't a printer on my Ipad and my printer is wireless .

why can't I print from my ipad 2 on my epson workforce 840 printer  ??? it show that there isn't a printer on my Ipad and my printer is wireless.

The 840 isn't supported by Airprint.  See the list here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
You may be able to use a universal printing app (check the app store), or Epson may make an app.  Or you could get a more up-to-date printer.

  • How can I print from Firefox using my Epson Workforce 610 printer?

I call technical support at Epson regarding my Workforce 610 printer because I'd tried to print out an e-mail using my Mozilla FireFox web browser. During the conversation with Epson technical support I learned that my printer does in fact work and wasn't have any connection issues that prevented me from printing. I tried to print 4 times 2 times out of notepad and then Word, then I tried to print my e-mail 2 times using the Mozilla FireFox web browser and neither time was I able to print using Mozilla FireFox's web browser. The technical support rep then suggested I speak to technical support for Mozilla FireFox because she thought there might be a connectivity issue between Mozilla FireFox's web browser and my Epson printer that keeps it from print documents from the web browser.

    In Firefox -
File > Print or {Ctrl + P} = is that Epson printer selected in the Printer - Name dialog?

  • Epson workforce 310 print quality

We have an imac with OSx 10.8.2.  We are having problems with our Epson Workforce 310 (all in one printer and scanner).  We can get the printer to install, but the print quality is not good.  There is no place to select the print quality.  Where can we find an updated driver that work with this computer?

With many OS X drivers, the print quality is determined by the paper type selected. So for printing a photo, you would need to select the type of photo paper in the printer. If you printed the same photo on plain paper, then this can result in a poor quality output.
Note also that the default view in many OS X applications is to hide the additional print settings like Quality. So when you do select to print, click the Show Details button in the print dialog to see additional driver settings.

Apple is showing that they are delivering a version 9.0 driver. You can check what driver version you have by opening Print & Scan, selecting the Epson and then selecting Options & Supplies. Under the General tab the driver version will be shown. If you have v9.0 then it would appear that you already have the latest driver.

  • I bought an Epson WorkForce 645 printer but cannot seem to install it on my MacBook Air.  I tried to download the driver but it didn't take.

I bought an Epson WorkForce 645 for my MacBook Air but can't get it installed, what am I doing wrong?

I just finished installing an Epson Workforce 545 on Lion.  This info is valid as of early March 2012. The trick seems to be this: DON'T install using the CD that comes with the printer.  DON'T download the driver from Epson.
First do an Apple Software Update to make sure the machine is up-to-date.  Then simply open the Printer & Scan preferences and add the Epson printer.  It will download the driver directly from Apple and you will be good to go.  If you do install the bad drivers from Epson, you have to remove the /Library/Printers/EPSON folder and also anything EPSON in the Cache folder, then start over.

  • Epson Workforce 30 Printer doesn't work since installing 10.6.1

After installing Snow Leopard, the window showing current printer activity indicated that I needed to visit the manufacturer's website to download new drivers in the main dialogue box. I did this and followed all installation instructions given on Epson's site. Now when I try to print, it shows a smaller error message in line with the job currently shown as printing. I tried going into the printer setup> select driver window. But the most recent version I had downloaded wasn't included in the list.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Apple just released a new package of Epson printer drivers. Look for them at support.apple.com/downloads/.
If your printer is not supported in the above and Epson does not have Snow Leopard compatible drivers for your printer yet, then you may be SOL for the time being. In this case contact Epson to see when then expect to have a compatible driver for your printer.

  • Two-sided printing with Epson Workforce 630

I bought a new iMac a few months ago and got the Epson WorkForce 630 printer at the same time. However, I can't figure out how to do duplex (two-sided) printing. I've searched around, and it looks like this feature may not be supported for the Mac. Now, why would Apple sell a printer through their website that doesn't support Mac? This seems like a basic feature that all printers should have.
Does anyone know a work-around? The "two-sided" selection is grayed out for me.
    Thanks!

Thanks! Unfortunately, on the Epson site, it says, "
    Q:
Is manual duplex (double-sided) printing supported in Mac OS X with my product?
    A:
No. This feature is supported in Windows only."
I really don't know why Apple would sell a printer through their stores that doesn't support all features in their OS. I might end up going back to my older printer.

  • Epson WorkForce Printer for Design Studio?

I need a recommendation on a reliable, cost effective color printer for my design studio. Color accuracy is very important, as I intend to use it for proofing purposes, and Mac OS X compatability is a must. I currently own a Brother MFC-9840CDW, which is a tank, but its color accuracy is horrible. Plus the consumables are very expensive. When I purchased the Brother laser printers were more cost effective thank inkjet. Now, it seems like some inkjet manufacturers have caught up with the laser guys in terms of lower per page costs.
I'm really impressed with what I've read on the Epson WorkForce series of printers, and I'm especially intrigued by the wide format options they have, which will enable me to print full spreads. Does anyone own any of the Epson WorkForce printers and if so how happy are you with its performance?

I don't have any "Workforce" printers, but wanted to chime in on your question.  There are basicly 3 types of inkjet printers: 1.) office type printers like the workforce or deskjet type CMYK printers; 2.) photographic printers with multi-cartridge colors like CMYKlmlc; and 3.) graphic arts proofers like the Epson Stylus Pro or an HP Designjet that is mated with a 3rd party RIP.
You're looking at an office type solution with the Epson Workforce CMYK printer which is similar to the HP Deskjet8000 which is also CMYK.  These type of inkjets are going to acheive some fairly good color, but not all colors will be accurate because of the limits of resolution and the 4 basic colors available ( CMYK ).  I would look into a 3rd party RIP solution like a Colorburst or Efi Fiery that will open up some options for color accuracy.  I recommend a RIP because the driver that comes with the printer is good, but not a proofing solution.  For that, you'll need a RIP.  More money, but worth the investment.  Take a look at the Epson Stylus Pro 3880 Designer Edition or the HP Designjet 130 with an optional RIP.
Also keep in mind that whatever you decide, the printer should be calibrated.  The higher end inkjets come calibrated or have their own internal calibration.  The RIP makes this happen.

  • Trouble printing to Epson Workforce 435 via airport express network

We have an Epson Workforce 435 printer that connects wirelessly to our home network via Airport Express.  After we switched to AT&T, we could no longer print from our Windows 7 PC connected to the network via Airport as well.  Our Macbook air works just fine.  The printer's network status sheet says it is connected, but it's like our computer can't find it on the network.  Can't ping the printer's IP address either.

Okay, I have checked the settings on the AX - it is set up to be 802.11b/g compatible, so that doesn't appear to be the problem.
I had a friend come over with her macbook - she was able to detect the wireless network, but wasn't able to connect to it, even when I gave her the password. Does this help diagnose the problem?
Here is additional information about how the AX is currently configured:
In the Airport tab in AirPort Utility:
Wireless Mode: Create a wireless network
    Radio Mode: 802.11b (802.11b/g compatible)
    Channel: 1
    Wireless security: WEP
MAC Address Access Control: Not Enabled
In the Internet tab in Airport Utility:
    Connect using: Ethernet
    Configure IPv4: Using DHCP
    Ethernet WAN port: Automatic
    Connection sharing: Off (Bridge mode)
I have tried turning wireless security off, but that didn't help the problem. I have also tried turning MAC Address Access Control to Timed Access, inputted the MAC address of the printer, and gave it permission to access the network all day, everyday, but this didn't work either. I have looked at changing the connection sharing settings, but I don't really understand what I'm doing here, so I am reluctant to mess with things much. This seems like the most promising potential solution?
    Thanks!

  • How can I get my workforce 600 printer to work wireless

Does anyone know how to get an Epson Workforce 600 printer to work wireless with 10.8.3 MacBook Air.

I know my MBP works wireless so it can be done.
I thought that was what helped me do it.
    It appears not.
