Epub: Footnotes go to wrong location

I am on Indesign CS5. I have managed to make an ebook that is perfect apart for one thing:
the footnotes do not take me to the desired note, but to the last pages of the final chapter. If I browse a few more pages then I can see the note. Clicking on the note number then neatly takes me back. Apparently  Indesign sees no division between the end of the chapter (or of the book) and the starting of the footnotes.
(NB: I already use the Teus de Jong script to against the footnotes/crossrefs bug).
Thanks for your time.

I have the google app, so I can go there, go to Maps and enter it in there and it works fine, but that seems like a lot of extra work. Anyone find a fix?
I just tried this ("5410 Wilshire Blvd, 90036") and a red pin drops down to a precise street address (looks to be over Vince). Where does your red pin fall?
Also, I'm finding it near impossible to view traffic on the map if you have a route marked.
This is a problem I experience as well. Unfortunately the best solution I have found is that once the purple route line has been drawn after tapping Route, to just toggle over to Search and the purple will go away. This way you can see traffic conditions as you have a general idea of where the purple is.

  • Robo Help Server 8 Publishing files to wrong location

    Hi
I have recently installed a trail verstion of Robo Help 8 server.  All appears to be ok with the install I can access the website and log into the admin portal etc...  The only diffrence from the default install is that I have configured tomcat to use port 80 rather than 8080.
However I am having a problem whenever i try to publish a help file from Robo Help 8, I input all of the details of the server <Server IP>/robohelp/server
put in the default admin username and password and select the general area to publish the help file to.  All of the files appear to publish ok from Robo Help 8 and no errors are receved.
When I log onto the admin portal of the website the there is nothing displayed in the projects window.  I have check the local disk of there server were robo help is installed and i think the problem may be that the server is putting the files in the wrong location.
I can see that a folder has been created in the following location
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp Server 8\robo\server\general\projects\TestProject
with the following folders within it
    resource
    webhelp_skin_files
    whdata
    whxdata
However none of these folders contain any data.
All of the files apper to be uploading to C:\ not the above directory wich is what i would expect.
If a copy the files that have been uploaded to C:\ to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp Server 8\robo\server\general\projects\TestProject and restart the tomcat service the project then shows in the project window.  However when i click view project all i get is a blank screen.  I have searched the forum but cannot find anyone having a similar issue.
Any help would be gratley appriciated.
Below is the config of the Server
Windows 2003 Server IIS not installed

    Tomcat 6.0.29

  • Maps directs me to wrong location

Hi All -- My Google maps (the one that came with the phone) constantly sends me to the wrong location. I'll type in a known address (let's say 5410 Wilshire Blvd, 90036) and it will give me directions just to Wilshire Blvd (no street address). It does this almost every time, both in Maps view and List view.
I've tried typing the address in, or linking to it from my calendar meeting location, and still doesn't work.
I have the google app, so I can go there, go to Maps and enter it in there and it works fine, but that seems like a lot of extra work. Anyone find a fix?
Also, I'm finding it near impossible to view traffic on the map if you have a route marked.

  • Portal Navigates to Wrong Location from One DI????

    Hello Al,
We've had intermittent problems with one of our DI's in our QA or PROD environments navigating to a wrong location in from 1st/2nd level navigation.
    - It typically only happens with one portal tab, not many or all.
    - We know the problem isn't with our content as it chooses to navigate to locations sometimes in our own content but many times in an admin area, but totally unrelated to where it should go.
    - Once the error occurs the bad navigation remains the same until we've cycle java.
    - We've tried clearing PCD cache on the bad DI but that hasn't helped.
This may be happening only after we release content but we're not sure of that at this point. Our release process has us shutting down the DI's, importing new content to the CI, then bringing DI's up one at a time for testing. If the area affected by the problem isn't part of our release content the problem may not be discovered until later regression testing. Has anyone seen anything similar?
    Thanks,
    Doug

  • Jump to wrong location

I have a project with about 85 slides that was built with Captivate 4. Many of the slides have buttons that jump to other slides for branching within the presentation. On one of the buttons it is jumping to the wrong slide when I deploy it to our LMS (Moodle). In the web broser preview it works fine, and the properties of the button show it jumping to the correct slide, but when I deploy it within Moodle, it jumps to the wrong location. I have reloaded it and rebuilt it several times, but it is still doing the same thing. Any ideas?
    Thanks,

Not really. I thought if i use absolute bendpoints the translation is not
    necessary.

  • Folders on the IMAP server do not appear or appear in wrong location - those cannot be modified in Thunderbird because "they do not exist on server".

    Hi all,
A few days ago, I moved 3 sub-folders within my Archive folder. I was doing those modifications using Thunderbird.
My Archive folder used to contain the following sub-folders:
    Archive
    /A2014
    /B2014
    /C2014
I tried to move the folders A2014, B2014 and C2014 under the sub-folder LastYear, and created new A, B and C folders for 2015, so that it would be something like:
    Archive
    /LastYear
    /A2014
    /B2014
    /C2014
    /A2015
    /B2015
    /C2015
On the webmail interface, everything looks fine: the old A, B and C folders where moved into the Archives/LastYear folder, and the new A, B and C folders appear under Archives. However, on Thunderbird things are a bit more... strange.
Case 1: For some folders, things are as they should be.
Folders A2014 and B2014 were correctly moved into Archives/LastYear.
Folders A2015 and C2015 were correctly created in Archives.
Case 2: One folder does not appear at all - anymore.
Folder B2015 does not appear anywhere - despite being visible on the webmail interface. It does not appear in the list of folders to synchronize. No .msf file appear. Nothing happens if I try creating it again.
Note that it briefly existed after I created it, but stopped appearing a few hours later.
Case 3: One folder appears in the wrong location and cannot be accessed.
Folder C2014 appears in the old location (Archives) and not were it should be (and is on the webmail interface), that is Archives/LastYear. I cannot perform any operation on it in Thunderbird, I systematically get the following error message:
"The current operation on 'C2014' did not succeed. The mail server for account <AccountName> responded: "Archives/C2014" doesn't exist."
(Which is correct because according to the server the folder C2014 is in Archives/LastYear).
The C2014.msf file is also wrongly located, but moving it to the correct location did not change anything: the next time Thunderbird was started, the wrongly located .msf file was re-created.
Thunderbird does not show the emails contained in this folder - when I try loading them I get the previous error message.
Using the same style than before, here is how my Archives folder look right now:
    Archive
    /LastYear
    /A2014
    /B2014
    /A2015
    /C2015
    /C2014
I am totally flabbergasted, I have no idea of where the problem is. I tried various fixes found on forums (such as playing around with the .msf files), but no luck so far. Any idea?
    A few more details:
    - I use an IMAP server.
    - This is a professional address, and I have little control on it.
    - I use Thunderbird with this account on two different computer, the problem is identical on both computers.
    - I tried removing/re-installing the account from Thunderbird, it did not change anything.
I would be eternally grateful if any of you could come up with a solution!
    Many many thanks,
    Agnes

I know my files downloaded through Firefox won't appear in my downloads folder because that is just supported by Safari
No, I think that Apple just assigned the Downloads folder to Safari to send things there by default. You can do the same with Firefox, just go to the Firefox Preferences, click on main, tick the "Save files to..." and click the Choose button, then navigate to /Users/yourname/Downloads and click choose. I have always had all my Internet applications download things to a Downloads folder I keep at the root level of the drive (so all users can access them), but I just changed the Firefox pref to the new Apple Downloads folder and it worked fine.

  • IPhoto 11 has assigned a wrong location on 10% of my photo library

Is there a way to correct these wrong locations other than photo by photo since about 1400 photos are affected by this bug ?

Look at the scroll bar at the bottom and move it to the left to get the thumbnail size you want.

  • Podcast episodes in wrong locations

    Hi,
I have noticed a number additional unrelated Podcast episodes have appeared in a number of my subscribed Podcasts. These additional Podcasts I do subscribe to, but they appear in the wrong location. Can I 'move' these files to their appropriate location by 'drag and drop'?
    Thanks for any assistance

You need to edit your XML file so iTunes etc will place your podcast(s) in the 'Arts/Music' category.
If you search through your code, you will see, for example:
    <itunes:category text="Technology">
    </itunes:category>
Just edit this accordingly and save.

  • ITunes 10.1.1 moving files to wrong location and then losing connection.

This morning I tried to play one of my albums and it told me it wasn't able to locate the files (on my external disk) so I located them manually and for some reason it has created a new iTunes folder in the root of my HDD (even though the iTunes prefs still pointed at the external disk) and moved the files in to that.
I deleted the album from the library and then imported the files from the new folder. It imported them fine and copied them to the exiting iTunes folder in the ext HDD but then immediately copied them back to the wrong iTunes folder. Then it told me it couldn't find them again!
I've now discovered 4 other albums that it's doing the same thing with and no matter what I do I can't get them to import, stay on the ext HDD and remain connected.
I've re-installed iTunes and restored my library file from before I upgraded to 10.1.1(4) but it's still doing the same thing.
    Any ideas anyone?

  • DW 5.5 uploading to wrong location

I have recently restored a site using the New process.  The local and remote files were already in place.  When I make a change, it uploads OK apparently, except that the file goes to the wrong place and is not seen when browsing.  The site in question is http://members.cox.net/jfistere.  Using a browser the site works OK except that the changes to index.htm, for example, are not seen.
When I use WS_FTP to ftp://members.cox.net/fistere, I see the file structure with mostly zero-length files except wher I have uploaded a couple of changed files, including index.htm.  Cox tech support can upload a test file to the site, I can see http://members.cox.net/jfistere/TestDox.txt with my browser but not with  WS_FTP to the same location.  In WS_FTP if I change the address to http://members.cox.net/jfistere, I cannot see any files although it connects and I can download the TestDoc.txt file.  (I'm testing as I am writing).  So, it seems I need to get DW upload to http://members.cox.net/jfistere rather than ftp://....
When I try that it strips out the HTTP and connects, but apparently to the wrong place. I'm using connect via FTP.  I use the same setup to connect to other websites.
The bottom line is that I need to upload to http://members.cox.net/jfistere using FTP.  I've tried the same settings that I use on two other sites successfully, without success on this site.
I would appreciate any advice you have.
    Thanks,
    John

If those are your settings they are wrong and the cox.net people should have corrected you based on their own help documentation.
    http://support.cox.com/sdccommon/asp/contentredirect.asp?sprt_cid=2e35fd18-d093-41f9-8bf4- 39b1057f7044
    Your host is: members.cox.net
Username is your account (prior to @anything)
    Password is your account password
Don't type http:// or ftp:// before the host name.  Also click the down arrow for More Options.  You may have to toggle Passive FTP on/off if one setting doesn't work sometimes with certain hosts.

It should point to /oracle/<SID>/11202/networ/admin/listener.ora but it is pointing to other system SID hence the error is like the user is not authorized to start the listener.
I checked the env of my system and which is fine. Please suggest where can i check the path for Listener parameter File.

  • Manually added files to library going to wrong location in iPOD

When I DL video podcasts from work and manually add to iTUNES they are going to Movies instead of Video Podcasts.
Even more troublesome is that all podcasts from same site are not listed together in a submenu. This only occurrs when I DL video podcast using iTUNES. As a result I have dozens of videos appearing in 'Movies' instead of their own submenu in Video Podcast.
I have dial-up at home so I DL Podcasts from another location that has high speed to my thumb drive.
iPOD is set to use as mounted drive in my computer (forgot the term)

ETA: wrong. I still can't get this to work. Please help if you can. Thanks.
