EPUB images not showing in iPad iBooks.

I've managed to export a fixed layout epub from inDesign and everything renders fine in iBooks on my iMac but for some reason no images are shown when viewed in iBooks on my iPad. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

I think this is the issue with the image dimensions you are using. Make sure the images are less than 600 X 600 px for them to look fine on iBooks. The images will not appear if they exceed this limit.

When I preview the book in progress, some images only appear in the thumbnails, not on the full page view. These same images were showing up a few versions ago. Other images are showing up just fine.

Hi KT and Anyone Else Who Could Help,
One thing I noticed is the images that are not showing up are all captioned, but with background shut off. I have a few image galleries as well, but those ARE showing up.
Some images are jpegs, others are pngs, but there is no pattern or correlation between image type and showing up, not showing up.
Besides, they all showed up previously.
So I removed the caption from one image and now it is showing up!
But I am nearly certain that in an earlier version WITH captions, they all showed, and I would like to keep the captions.
Any ideas?

Single Picture not show on iPad

Both exporting an .ibook or run the preview the single picture are not showing on iPad in landscape but show in portrait. I see the picture in the miniature of publication but when i larger the picture disappears. Foto gallery instead its ok. This problem is show me at the end of work (i have 70 page) during make layout the preview was ok.

Select that image in iBooks Author in both orientations and confirm the size is inside the layout.

Book not showing on iPad

I bought a PDF book (not from the iBookstore) and added it to the books in iTunes for my iPad Air and then ran the sync and it showed the reduced available space showing the book was transferred to the ipad, but when I open iBooks on the iPad the book isn't there, only the two previously transferred books both bought from the iBookstore. I sync my iPhone and iPad with the Mac and not the iCloud but the other books transferred from the Mac. And iBooks on the Mac wobn't open the book, it's open it in Acrobat. This is a *** with iBooks or is it just how it works?

Well, not quite.
IBooks will open PDF's in iBooks you buy or get free from the Apple iBookstore.
The PDF book you opened isn't from the iBookstore and yet you opened it in iBooks.
It will sync PDF's you load into iTunes but iBooks on the iPad won't recognize and list them. I added the PDF to iTunes, it showed and uploaded it, but iBooks didn't show it.
You may have added it to iTunes, but when it showed in the 'Books" tab when the iPad was connected to your computer, and you selected it, it could only have been recognised through the 'Books' tab which shows the books/pdfs you have in iBooks, not in iTunes. So, as I said earlier it's useless adding PDFs to iTunes for syncing. If it's not showing up in iBooks on your iPad you're either not syncing correctly or there is something wrong with the PDF. I don't use iCloud for backups as the backup through the iCloud removes your backups on your Mac. It's not an option, it's what it does, and once done, unless you have exported other backups, all you backups are on iCloud.
Rubbish. Backing up to the iCloud doesn't delete any backups on your computer. Where'd you get that from?

Shared folios not showing on iPad

I am teaching a class and have asked my students to share their folios with me so we can view and interact with them on a projected iPad. When I log into the Folio Producer, I see twelve student projects. However when I sign in to the Content Viewer on my iPad three of them are not showing up for download. I can see them in the browser and look at their pages if I open the folio.
Why can't I get these to show on my iPad (it's a pretty new retina display iPad).
I have a final critique at 1:00 today, so I'm in a hurry!

Check the sizes of the folios. If it is more than iPad 3 size it will not show on iPad. Preferred folio sizes are 1024x768-iPad2 and 2048x1536-iPad3. You can see iPad 2 content on iPad 3 but you can not see iPad 3 content on iPad 2.

This indicates there might be an issue with the time configuration on the device.
Go to Settings > General > Date and time. See if Set automatically is switched to on. If so, switch to off and ensure you set date, time and time zone manually and correctly.
Power off the device (hold sleep button for four seconds, then slide to power off), then power back on.
If issue persists, switch Set automatically back to on, and if not resolved then restore the device.

Another Images not Showing up thread

I know there are multiple threads out there about images not showing up on the login page of application express, and I have browsed most of them without success.
My images folder is in:
C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\Apache\Apache\images\
My dads.conf file has specified:
Alias /i/ "C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\Apache\Apache\images\"
Address of missing image in I.E. is:
http://<host>:7777/i/htmldb/apex_logo.gif
When I ran @apexins I specified /i/ for the virtual images directory.
I am running Oracle Database 10gR2, with Oracle HTTP Server that came with the Oracle Database 10g Companion CD Release 2.
I am using APEX 3.2.
When I try to go to
http://<host>:7777/i/
I get:
You don't have permission to access /i/ on this server.
I also cannot login to APEX. When I type my username/password and click the Login button, it does nothing (nothing loads, nothing changes... nothing happens). I don't know if this is related?

I found the problem -
In my dads.conf file I had:
Alias /i/ "C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\Apache\Apache\images\"
When I really needed:
Alias /i/ "C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\Apache\Apache\images/"
Note the end slash after images changed from backslash to forward.
Silly me.

Itunes is not showing my ipad as a device anymore, i deleted itunes and reloaded, it showed up for awhile, said it was restarting my ipad and now is not showing up again, any ideas??

I was trying to sync my calendar and contacts which worked perfectly last time. Now when I plug in the ipad it brings up adobe photoshop album start - photo downloader and looks like it is trying download photos as if it is only seeing the ipad as a camera. very frustrating!

Windows ONLY sees iPads and iPhones as a camera. This is nothing new or different.
When you open iTunes and connect the device, does iTunes detect the device?
Have you tried a different USB port? Restarting the computer? Restarting the device?
Frankly, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes is a bit of a drastic step as it was likely unnecessary.

Then I've following the icon object.

Likely bug with external editing (in CS5 not CS6 beta) and edited image not showing back up in LR

I have come across something strange today that I've not seen before. I'm running LR 4.0 under Win7 64-bit. I usually use Photoshop CS6 beta as my external editor, but invoke CS5 when I have to use some tools that don't support the beta. Here is the scenario:
* I have CS5 open
* I externally edit an image in CS5 and Save it from CS5 when I'm done
* The edited image does not show up in LR
* I close LR and reopen it
* There is the edited image!
I have duplicated this many times this evening. I don't think I've seen it when I've used CS6 beta.

Something strange is going on because I had the behavior reported of edited image not showing up after using another filter, Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.
