*EPUB or *MOBI documentation format?

Some while ago I have seen some Nexus 7000 documentation provided for download also in a *epub format (not only *pdf) on the cisco website.
Example:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/5_x/nx-os/upgrade/guide/b_Cisco_Nexus_7000_Series_NX-OS_Software_Upgrade_and_Downgrade_Guide__Release_5.x.html
Is there a plan to provide all the new documentation (also for other products) maybe also some subset of the older documentation in *epub format?
Thanks.
Marek

Hi Marek,
Thanks for your question about EPUBs. Yes, we're planning to make more documents available in EPUB (and eventually also MOBI) format.
Thanks,
Michele Greenfield

  • Add a epub or mobi file to kindle in ipad

I have both .epub and .mobi files that I want to read on my iPad 2 Kindle. How do I get those into the Kindle?

I'm fairly sure you need to e-mail them to your kindle address, then save them to your device via that.

  • I can't make ADE the default program to open EPUB and MOBI files

Hello, I can't seem to be able to make ADE the default program to open EPUB and MOBI files. I use Windows 7. I used to use a Firefox plug-in to view these files, and before that I used Calibre. I have been told that these are both inadequate. When I go into the Control Panel to change the default program to open these files, however, ADE is not listed as one of the possibilities (only Firefox and Calibre are), and when I search it just brings up Adobe Acrobat. Any advice? Thanks, Bill.

I think I have answered my own question. This time I clicked on Browse for the program to set as the default, and I selected the Downloads program, and there it was. For some reason I had to re-install it several times, and it kept re-installing and re-installing. But all seems to be OK now.

  • SAP's documentation format

    Hi.
I'm looking for SAPu2019s documentation format, somebody knows where it found ? I want to use it like a guide to create a internal format that we can use to reflect system changes.
    I will appreciate your help.
    Regards,
    Manuel H.

    Hi Russell,
I find my ways into the help always trying to narrow down a bit my search criteria.
    For instance:
If I know that I want something that it's from the basis NetWeaver, I select to only search from a release of NetWeaver of my choice. Let me give you a good example:
A few days ago I was searching for documentation of Web Dispatcher with SSL. Without selecting specifically to search results for NetWeaver, I've received TONS of documentation of other applications who suggested to use Web Dispatcher, but not the documentation of the Web Dispatcher itself.
It's preety effective to narrow down the product that you are searching for. It helped me a lot.
    Cheers,
    Maurício

  • Online study course, ebooks available .azw3, .epub and .mobi.  Will any of these be read by Ibooks?

Online study course is offering ebooks instead of online.  Versions of ebooks are azw3, epub and mobi.  Does Ibooks read any of these versions?
    Thanks Sandy

iBooks does. I use Dropbox to transfer my .epub/.mobi files, just upload them, access them on the iPad, then share it to Books.

  • Reading EPUB, PDF, MOBI and other formats ...

Now I don't understand why I can't find an app which is capable of reading large PDF/EPUB formats, but I've found an app that is capable of reading large MOBI format. The largest file it ever read is over 30 MB ... I need an app that is capable of reading large EPUB/PDF files, any suggestions?

You could try the Abite reader http://albite.org/reader
It's free, and there are many version of it.
If I remember correctly, epub files are just zip files with the resources in it, html and images.
There is an app called "Editori pdf", search for it at the store. Here a link, it doesn't work for my phone, so I don't know how good it is: http://store.ovi.mobi/content/363956

  • How do I convert an Idesign CC epub to mobi

I easily exported and Indesign CC file to epub, which works fine in IBooks.  How do I export it to mobi.
Can I do it as easily?
    Thanks,
    Janis Friesler

I guess Jongware you got right as well, but at least it would be the best for publishers to have one program who can serve all platforms. ID starts with a good solutions with difrent layouts in one file. But what does it need if you can not export it in the main formats?

  • Can I convert an ePub document to pdf format and vice versa?  If so, how?

I would like to publish my book in both pdf and ePub formats.  If I create the book in one of these formats, can I convert the finished product to the other?  If so, how do I do that?

It doesn't work to convert between PDF and EPUB, or back. Start with the same InDesign file and export separately to PDF and to EPUB.

    Hi Akshay,
If you want your images to appear standalone with no other page item on the page, then you can insert Page break on an image.
This is how you can specify a page break:
    1. Select the image
    2. Goto Object->Object Export Options
    3. Select EPUB and HTML tab
    4. Select Custom Layout check box and then check Insert Page break. You can select from the option in the dropdown-Before Image, After Image, Before and After Image as per your requirement.
    Regarding your question about images:
You export your graphs as JPEG but are those JPEGs of good resolution? If they are, then InDesign is doing something wrong during export but if the JPEGs are not of good quality then it is not an export issue. Please provide some more details here.
    Regards,
    Pooja

  • Project Documentation Format

We are a bunch of SAP trainees, and have recently completed a corporate training as a final year project.
We need to prepare documentation, report and presentation for project completion and degree.

Please provide us a template idea of what should be the contents of a project documentation should be, or if you could provide us info on how should the index looks like, that would be a great help.

  • EPubs not playing video; formatting for 10" android

Pulling my hair out here regarding fixed ePubs. I have created my document in InDesign CC (2014) and exported to fixed ePub. The document has embedded hyperlinks and video files. Open the ePub on an iPad and it works perfectly. Open it up in PlayBooks on my Galaxy Tab 4 and the video files don't even appear on the page. The secondary hyperlinks to YouTube content don't work (don't work on iPad either). Not sure why iPad works and Android does not. A secondary question is why my 10" alternate layout for Android crops on top/bottom instead of giving me the full screen layout. Hoping someone has some clues as to where to start to remedy my problem. Getting conflicting reports online saying that Play Books does/doesn't support video; tried numerous eBook readers with even less success recognizing the fixed layout.

  • Documentation formats for interfaces, classes, abstract classes

I am writing docs and want to make sure it conforms to best practices. Here is what I am doing:
    interfaces = [italics, not bold]
    classes = [not italics, bold]
    abstract classes = [italics, bold]
I am most unsure of abstract classes?
That is important to me, so please help me get this straight. thanks.

Everybody knows that interfaces are blue, classes are red, and abstract classes use jumpy text.
(that was a joke by the way)
To my mind, using bold for abstract classes would be misleading. Just on an intuitive level, bold seems more concrete. But that's just me. I think the best thing to do is just to decorate the names with "<<interface>>" or "<
>" so there's no confusion.
