Equalizer presets in Belle

I would like to know if custom equalizer presets in music player can be created in Symbian Belle (not possible in N8 with S^3 and Anna).
Setting all the bars to the highest makes a significant difference to the volume levels (as I had done with my N95) as compared to all the bars being set in the middle (default preset).
As Symbian Belle is highly customizable, it would be great if this feature is included.

You can download EQUALZER application from OVI store.....save any NEW PRESET in this application while playing the Music player and the New Preset is automatically saved in the Music player Equalizer presets...the link is

It costs you just Rs.25

An equalizer is not a bass boost or loudness processor, it is intended for creating a balanced sound spectrum. As a sound engineer I can only give you a hint that in general the best results are when you take out what is too much and increase the overall volume to compensate.
Obviously using a limited band EQ such as on the Lumia phones would restrict your options here, but try and play with the idea.

  • Troubles with the equalizer presets

Each and every song in my library have a saved equalizer preset, so that different music genres will have different equalizer preset, but it doesn't work completely.
If I click on song #1, a jazz song, it will have a jazz preset, but when I let that song play through until song #2, another jazz song, automatically comes on, Song #2 will have a rock preset. Now, if I Click on song #2, it will go back to jazz preset. What is going on here???
If I click on song #3, a blues song, it will have a blues preset, but when I let that song play through until song #4, another blues song, automatically comes on, Song #4 will have a rock preset. Now, if I Click on song #4, it will go back to jazz preset. What is going on here???
Sorry for having redundant examples, but I just want to be 100% sure for the reviewers to understand my trouble.
    Thanks

Just a hunch, but did you install "Main stage" lately? After I installed MainStage, quite a few of the Drum Instruments from the "Rhythm Section" pack were not working properly, because the instruments were not reinstalled by the MainStage installer.
I forced a redownload of the additional content in MainStage, to reinstall the "Rhythm Section" JamPack, and now all Drum Instruments work as they should.

  • Problems with Equalizer Presets in iTunes 8.0.1

I have equalizer presets on a lot of my songs and for some reason, in iTunes 8, when a song with an equalizer preset plays, it keeps that equalizer setting for songs that play afterwards that don't have presets. In other words, it doesn't set the equalizer back to "Flat" after it plays songs that have specific settings.
Anyone else suffering from this problem, or know how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Tucker

I'm having the same issue on my Mac. So, I just chose very song in my library. Chose to see info and changed the option to set the equalizer to "none." This took awhile to apply to my 10,000+ songs. What this effectively did was to make all songs the same in regards to equalizer settings.
I then went back into my equalizer settings and chose the equalizer setting that I want 99% of the time for most songs. For me it is "Acoustic." So, this doesn't fix the problem since I can't now select special equalizer settings for specific songs. But at least it's not switching over to a less than desired setting for all songs.

  • Is there a way to set equalizer presets to multiple songs or podcasts?

I listen to lots of podcast novels containing many chapters, where each chapter is a separate, weekly podcast. I'd like to set all podcast novel chapters to my user-created "podcast story" equalizer setting. Is there a way I can set the equalizer setting to multiple podcasts at once? As it is, I'm setting each podcast/chapter one by one and it is a pain in the butt. I'd like to set 10 at a time. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help!

Select the tracks you'd like to edit, hit cmd-i (Get Info), and go to the Options tab. From there you can specify an equalizer preset for your selection.
    Hope that helps,
    John

  • Equalizer presets don't work in iTunes 11

Equalizer presets don't seem to be working in iTunes 11. I try selecting a number of them and they don't do anything. Anyone else having that problem?

So the latest itunes update, 11.0.1, seems to have corrected the equalizer preset bug we were having.  But is has replaced it with another minor one.  Since the update, any songs i have purchased from the itunes store are now un-editable upon immediate download.  (This includes not being able to set the eq.)  All the options are greyed-out.  However I found that closing itunes, and reopening appears to correct the problem, and make the song editable again.  Strange.
It's an easy work around, but it's still inconvenient to constantly have to shut and open the program.
I just thought I'd check to see if you're experiencing a similar problem.
    Thanks.

  • Equalizer Presets - how to bring them back!!??

Hello, I re-installed my whole system after having problems with flash and all my browsers, now I have this "previous system folder" that I moved many of my programs settings from -because doing a "preserve network and user settings" restore would not fix the problems; I am really tripping in my words I am in a hurry and want to do this as quick as possible. I moved my playlists my itunes preferences and settings with success, all my other program settings are working great, but I was hoping to see my old equalizer presets but they are gone, where are they how can I transfer them from the "previous system" to the new one, this is a complicated technical question about system sensitive files, unless you know what you're talking about please dont reply thanks!

I believe the file your looking for is:
    com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist
    in your Username/Library/Preferences folder.
If you can find this file on your old system, you should be able to just replace the same file on the new system and the old equalizer presets will load when you launch iTunes.

  • Can you import the graphic equalizer presets from 1.5 into 3.0?

Is there a way to import the graphic equalizer presets from AA 1.5 into 3.0?  I want to use the "Destination: Car Stereo" preset.

It's actually pretty simple to do, but I have to warn you that because the effects were rewritten in Audition 3, transferring presets means that they won't necessarily sound the same, I'm afraid. Also, make sure that you've installed the patch first, so you're running 3.0.1.
Process goes like this: Find your Audition.ini file (this is in C:Documents and Settings\{username}Application Data\Adobe\Audition\1.5 - these files might be hidden; you have to unhide them first), and to play safe, make a copy of it. Pick up the copy and drop it on the Audition 3 icon on your desktop. Yes I know this sounds a bit strange, but just do it! What will happen after a few seconds is that Audition 3 will open, but you'll get a number of dialog boxes telling you what's going on, and asking for permission to overwrite anything that has the same name. Essentially it will transfer every 1.5 preset you have into 3.0.1.

  • Where are my equalizer presets?!

Recently upgraded to iTunes 9 and thought most of my tracks sounded a little off. Opened the equalizer and lo and behold all of my 'home made' presets had gone and the default setting was now 'flat'. Why have my presets been erased? Previous 'major' iTunes upgrades didn't erase them so why this one? It's a major pain as I spent quite a while tweaking different presets for my 'phones, speakers etc etc. Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks guys.

  • Using Equalizer presets without having to switch on and off

    Hi,
I have assigned equalizer presets (eg. Equalizer preset = Dance) to a minority of songs in iTunes on my Mac. Most songs have no preset, so the setting is blank (Equalizer preset = None).
The problem is that I can only get these settings to work by manually switching the EQ 'on' and 'off' by checking and unchecking the 'on' button in the Equalizer window.
Can I combine presets and no presets in one playlist without having to manually switch the EQ on and off? If so, please tell me how. Thanks!
    iMac G5/17"   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

iTunes will change the EQ to a setting but not back to nothing.
If your listening to a dance track with the EQ preset on Dance then thats fine. But continue on too listen to a rock track where the EQ preset is none and iTunes will continue to use the Dance EQ. The only way i can think of to get around this problem is to set EQ presets for all songs. If you have a large library its easiest to do this by browsing by genre and changing whole genres at once.
There is no software i know of that helps prevent your EQ problem though sorry

  • How to restore deleted iTunes equalizer presets?

I am using iTunes 12 on Windows 8.1 64 bit.
A few years ago, I deleted all the iTunes equalizer presets and made a bunch of custom presets. Despite several upgrades to iTunes, my custom presets have persisted (good on ya Apple). However, I'd like to delete these custom presets and restore the defaults. Is there an easy way to do this without completely erasing my library?

For uscsparticus, there's a question for you:
If is saved from iCloud, you'll be able to get back or not?

  • Lost Equalizer Presets

I've been using my iPod and iTunes for nearly two years now. I have created many equalizer presets in iTunes in the past, and have never had any problem with them.
Today, when I loaded up iTunes, all my saved equalizer presets were gone! Athough the names of all the presets I had previously created were still assigned to specific songs, the actual equalizer settings themselves - along with the names of those presets - are missing from the "Equalizer" panel.
So, I upgraded my version of iTunes to the latest release, but my presets were still not appearing. As a test, I then deleted a few of the "core" presets and set up a couple of new ones, but when I exited iTunes and brought it back up again, the new presets I had created were gone, and all the original "core" preset selections were again available.
So, it doesn't appear as though my presets are operating properly, nor am I able to store new ones. How can I go about fixing this problem?
Thank you in advance for any assistance anyone can provide.

Actually, I managed to answer this myself with a bit of additional research here on the site. The instructions provided by the link below provides a solution:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=607357&#607357
It was a pain to have to recreate all my Equalizer presets and reassign them to all of my songs, but at least the act of deleting the "Preference" files and allowing iTunes to recreate them worked. Now, I'm making regular backups of these files, so that if they ever become corrupt again, I will have a previous version which I can use to restore them.

  • Custom Equalizer Presets

    Hello everyone,
I'm planning to make a clean install of OS X soon. I have several custom equalizer presets I don't want to lose when I wipe my hard drive. Does anyone know how iTunes stores equalizer presets? In other words, what file(s) are these presets stored in? I would like to backup this file(s) before I start.
    Thanks
Intel iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

The equalizer presets are stored in the 'com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist' file in ./Users/YourUsername/Library/Preferences.
You might also want to save the 'com.apple.iTunes.plist' file, which holds all other iTunes preferences.
Don't forget to backup the 'iTunes Library' file which is iTunes' database and holds all song locations, ratings, podcast subscriptions and play counts.
    Hope this helps.

  • Equalizer presets don't stick, but say they do

The equalizer on itunes is showing fine when I open the 'get info' button and change the preset for the song to anything, and for as long as the 'get info' box is still open, the preset will stay on. Yet when I click 'ok' to save the changes, the equalizer cuts out again, even though it says it is still on that preset for the song, and the equalizer is still on. Any suggestions?

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
