Equalizer Settings won't work

My iPod works in all respects but when I go to EQ settings they are indicated as being 'off'. They won't turn on and I can make adjustments. The sound coming off the iPod through new Shure earphones has no bass whatsoever hence I'd like to make adjustments.
Any suggestions?

I think you need to install all the software from the beginning from original CD.
If you have drivers already installed then run start.exe found on Creative Driver/Software CD @ CTRun\ -folder.
If you neeed to install drivers st then execute the ctzapxx.exe found on same CD @ \Audio\Drivers -folder.
After this if you want to update your Creative drivers/software --> do it manually --> herefrom you can download all updates they have.
ADDON: If you do not have the CD you find a link to DL it from here.

Mail settings (network) worked in 10.3.9, same settings won't work in 10.4.

I run a G3 iMac at school (only Mac on a PC network) which has been able to access the internet, my school email and my MyWork folder on the school network. Last week I upgraded the OS to 10.4 (10.4.7) and typed in exactly the same Network settings as before. Internet and MyWork were fine but I could not send or receive email.
I took my home eMac into school to try and had the same results; internet and MyWork are fine, Mail won't work.
I reinstalled 10.3 on a partition of my iMac and (same Network settings) Mail is working fine.
Any ideas on what 10.4 is doing differently from 10.3 that prevents Mail from working.

Automatic Time Zone Settings won't work on my Macbook Pro OSX 10.6.7

In Settings, Date & Time, when I attempted to select "Set time zone automatically using your current location", my Macbook Pro attempetd to find location, and after a while it end up with a dialog read "Unable to determine current location at this time"
I have to disable this feature and use manual selection of my time zone (Indochina Time, Bangkok, Thailand)
Anyone here have recommendation to make this one work properly?

I got that problem for several months and used to update my location manually. Today, I got lucky. Try this:
In Security System Preference pane, General tab, make sure the "Disable Location Services" is unchecked. Then Reset Warnings. Click OK to allow the service to ask you to use your location every times it'll need it. Now I got the right time zone. Finally!

AAC and MP3 export settings won't work

Here's my question: I am trying to export my mixes to disk as compressed files, (aac or mp3s) but I am unable to make it happen with settings other than the defaults (good an high quality, or whatever GB calls them)
If I choose to customize my output settings with different bitrates or mono/stereo output, GB will ignore my choices and return me to the default output window and nothing really changes.
Any solutions ??

I have had this issue as well and found this answer browsing through forums. Try renaming your file to something meaningful with using only 6 letters or so in the name. When I did this "work around" I was able to save my GB files out to the disk or desktop. Prior to that, it would do all its work, but never got the file. I was able to only export to ITUNES! I think this may be a "bug" in GB (ILIFE 08 Ver)

Go to Settings:General>International and ensure the the Gregorian calender is selected and then correct the time and date.

Qmaster schedule settings won't work on Mondays

I'm using FCS2 and have upgraded to the latest versions of both the studio and Leopard. I've installed Qmaster Nodes on several Macs on my network, and I have 4 Macs running FCS2. On all nodes, the Qmaster preferences Advanced setting "Set schedule for unmanaged services" does not work correctly.
I want to set up a schedule where the node is "off" from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. This isn't possible on any of the nodes. When I check back the schedule has been changed so that Monday hours revert to 12:00 am to 12:00 am. Also, the 8-6 schedule has changed on some machines to 9-7 and in some others from 9-9.
The only way I can get some sort of a schedule is to turn Monday completely off. Then the Tuesday through Friday 8-6 schedule remains stable. But that means I'll be losing a lot of processing time.
Any help is appreciated.

Java 7 for mac os 10.8 won't work

I tried to play minecraft but it wont even open. some couple days ego i was uploading my app to the app store and i was having trouble so i found this comands on a website to solve the problem.

What happened is you forced Java 5 to be running with those commands. You need to force it back to Java 7. Change 1.5 to 1.7 repeating the same commands.

Reboot your router. The icon only shows when connected to wifi and Apple TV or similar device. Same thing happened with my phone and the icon appeared in control center after router reboot.

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

My macbook's sound won't work - no output devices found in settings?

I've been having a lot of issues with my Macbook. It has a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and is running on version 10.6.8 Mac OS X. It asks for certification whenever surfing the web or loading websites, and always redirects to a different page. Now, the sound won't work at all - regardless of mute on/ off or sound turning up and down. I went to settings to check out the problem, and there is no output or input device listed or found on that page. I have no idea what's going on, and now, even though it's plugged in it won't charge.

First thing I would try for your sound output issue would be to reset the parameter RAM.
