Equation in Captivate 7 looks pixelated

I installed Captivate 7 to get the new equation editor. After creating an equation or using the default in the trial version, it looks pixelated on my slide. Why? How can I fix it so that it looks good? I am using the default font.

Don't believe everything you see in Captivate error messages. The issue may not necessarily be an actual variable name.  It could be related to the name of an advanced action, a screen object, or even a slide.  If the name of any object happens to transgress into territory of actionscript keywords it can cause an issue.
The other thing that can sometimes cause these errors is using punctuation characters in names or fields or even CC text.
From what you describe, the issue would appear to be related to something on either the first few slides or else something that gets loaded right at the start of the project.
What happens if you hide the first few slides?  Does it then publish without issue?

  • Photoshop CS6 looks pixelated on Mac Retina screen

I have Photoshop CS6 running on a MacBook Pro with a 15" retina screen. By default it runs in low-resolution, which makes everything pixelated. When I right-click on the app and go to "Get Info" I see an option to "Open in Low Resolution". When I uncheck it Photoshop opens in high-resolution and it looks beautiful, but it's unusable: I can't click on any of the tools, the sidebars, or anything. So I bring it back to low-resolution and everything works well, except that it looks pixelated again.
I have the 13.0 update (the latest one) and there aren't any additional updates according to Photoshop.
Is there any way to have Photoshop CS6 run in high-resolution?
    Thank you very much!

Thank you, Gene, but that's exactly what I was trying before and it doesn't work. In my OP I explained what happens when I try that:
When I uncheck it Photoshop opens in high-resolution and it looks beautiful, but it's unusable: I can't click on any of the tools, the sidebars, or anything. So I bring it back to low-resolution and everything works well, except that it looks pixelated again.
When I open Photoshop and go to Help > System Info this is what I see:
    Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00) x64
    Operating System: Mac OS 10.10.3
It's not 13.0.6. However, when I go to Help > Updates it tells me that all my applications are already up-to-date.
    Any other ideas?

  • Photos from iPhoto into Photoshop look pixelated

Photos that look beautiful in iPhoto and Preview, when opened in CS3 look pixelated.  Same dimensions pixels, 3264 x 2448.  Tried exporting from iPhoto to desktop at maximum quality and then opening as Smart Objects but still pixelated!  Print pixelated too!  Tried changing the resolution. No help.  Going round and round.  Help!  Maybe the picture was bad to begin with and I just couldn't tell in iPhoto?   Have a G5 mac.  Want to blow up from 4x6 to 11x14 print.
    Thanks!

Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

  • ALL flash videos looks pixelated, win 7 or 8.1, ONLY with firefox

Latest firefox version, latest adobe flash player.. Had cleaned cache and preferences of both Firefox and Flash Player.. two different machines with different hardwares and SOs, no luck!
With Google Chrome all videos are ok. It's like the difference in this two images: http://www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/computer-chip-super-resolution-640x353.jpg
Firefox's WEB images are GREAT but all videos looks pixelated as the left picture.. had compared the same video with Firefox and Chrome opened side-by-side.. :\

Hardware acceleration ON of OFF didn't make any difference.. honestly I never saw anyone saying they see any difference switching it..
Of course with a higher resolution (720 or 1080p) there's less pixelation, but with other browsers there ain't such issue..

  • Having issues with Compressor and my footage looking pixelated..

Compressed a wedding video through Compressor (from Final Cut Pro). When I have it in DVD Studio Pro and look at the footage, there is a minute or two where the footage looks pixelated and is almost vibrating. There is no issue when I go back and look at it in Final Cut Pro so I know it has to be due to Compressor. Anyone have this problem? Or does anyone know how this can be fixed?

Try increasing bit rate or adding compression markers to that section.

  • Open images in the Photoshop window look pixelated, but same images in Acrobat or viewer look fine. Help in resolving? Link to screenshots.

Some files and images I open in the Photoshop window look pixelated or choppy, but when I open in Acrobat or viewer they look fine. This just started about two weeks ago. I reset my settings, and all of the the help topics come up for blurry images/re-sizing. I have had this problem with .tiff, jpg, and pdf files.

That black degradation in the background at the top looks like an old ATI driver bug where if for a given pixel the red channel reaches zero all three colors of the pixel would go black.  I think that was a couple of years ago we were seeing that.
See if AMD has released newer drivers for your FirePro card.

  • CS6 InDesign - Default display is high-quality. Four placed images are Illustrator files. Three images look the way they should - high-quality. One image looks pixelated. Why?

InDesign CS6 - Default display is high-quality. All four placed images are Illustrator files. Three images look the way they should - high-quality. One image looks pixelated. Why?

Not sure if this will help, but what is your inDesign file's "Transparency Blend Space" set to? It's under the edit menu.
Also, when you are placing your images, are you selecting "Show Import Options" and making any selections there?

  • Why does the text look pixelated

I am using Helvetica Neue and when I publish the site the text looks pixelated.

Best practice is to use a Web Font, if possible. If not, use a Web Safe Font and only as a last resort use a System Font (since it will be converted to an image). An image is slower to load in your browser, prevents site viewers from copy/pasting your text content, prevents using the browser's Find feature within the page, and prevents you from being able to apply hyperlinks on ranges of text. Muse does automatically generate "alt tags" for the image, so search engines will still be aware of the original text content.
If a System Font is used, it will only render well if the background of the text frame is 100% opaque. (It has a solid fill color. An 100% opaque gradients. Or it has a 100% opaque fill image.) This is due to the fact smoothing the edges of the type on an LCD display requires knowing the color of the pixels behind the text. If the text frame is transparent then the smoothing will be performed using an inferior approach that is color agnostic to avoid creating color artifacts on the edges of the type. (Note that bringing in a transparent image containing the type from some other source will have the same problem.)

  • Pixelation in content viewer. Looks pixelated no matter what i try.

    Hello there
Everything looks pixelated in my slideshow when i look at it in content viewer. Images an especially text. The workarounds im been trying so far doesn't do the trick. So im thinking if im using af wrong viewer version? its version 32. If so how do i change it?
    In hope of answers

    Desktop or on a device?
Either set the slideshow to vector or if you’re only concerned about text, read this: http://boblevine.us/digital-publishing-suite-101-keep-text-sharp-in-raster-slideshows/

  • Something changed on my file and now my vector elements and fonts look pixelated in CS6

Today an illustrator file with vector objects and fonts that I've been working on for days looked pixelated when enlarging at more than 400%. I couldn't find the fix so I started a new canvas, selected everything from my pixelated file, pasted it into a new canvas and everything transferred correctly so I was able to continue working with my vector elements again.  I was curious if anyone knows what made my vector elements change to pixels and how to fix it.  Thanks guys

    You are welcome Miss Modular.
Even on web jobs people do not use that option too often, so really wish they would not assign a keyboard command to that, which is what I suspect happened to you.

  • Illustrator cc image looks pixelated after saving with transparent background

as the title states; image looks pixelated after saving with transparent background...
i created a logo in adobe illustrator cc and i wanted to saved it for web in order to be able to copy and paste the logo where ever I wanted but the image looks extremely pixelated after saving as an png, and for web. Is there a solution for this?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you!!
    Jon

What DPI did you save as:
You should always save as 300dpi, then you can always reduce  the size as needed.
Another thing, don't copy and paste, that always causes that Problem.
In Acrobat you should open Tools Menu click on Content Editing  the Add Image.
Then click on image and choose Properties and place where you want and size as you desire.

  • Added logos look pixelated and how to add a watermark?

    Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of trouble. i'm trying to add a watermark with one half of the logo covering the footage and the other half the black bar. Because I need to crop the video the logo (ofcourse) gets cut in half. When I try importing the entire file as a .MOV file and then add the logo I have alot of loss in quality. Trying it in After Effects didn't help either.
Also, adding the logos and text in Premiere as a .PNG file looks pixelated even though the file is of a very high resolution. How can I fix this/

    Jim,
    Picture this...
You have 16:9 footage with really good stuff at the extreme right and the extreme left. SO you want to keep it that way. You also have 4:3 that you don't want to scale up. SO you use a 4:3 project. Now you have two choices. You can crop all of the 4:3 footage, or, when you get all done editing with both 16:9 and 4:3 you export the entire mixed clip as a 4:3 clip. Import that into Premiere Pro and crop the entire clip to look letterboxed. Now add a logo that happens to sit near the bottom right and some of it is over video, and some is over black letterbox.
Only none of this is relevant other than to explain that he has a problem with his logo in that it looks pixelated.
Solve the pixelation and the other explanation is not relevant.

  • Muse interface looks pixelated

I have a Mac Book Pro Retina display, but the Muse interface looks pixelated. Does anyone know how to fix that?
    Thanks!

There is no end user fix. Unfortunately enabling retina resolution for the UI of Muse requires substantial changes within Muse. We are working on it, but the necessary changes are unlikely to be complete this year.

  • Menu looks pixelated

Every high-res image I put into dvdsp looks pixellated. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this issue? I've tried tiff, psd, and jpgs.

Or, if you have Photoshop, use the appropriate "video and film" template - which will give you a properly sized image (720x480) using video's non-square pixels (ether .9 or 4:3 or 1.2 for 16:9)
    Have fun.
