Equipment archiving with SARA

Hi experts,
I need to archieve a list of equipment with the TCODE SARA.
Can you suggest me the steps that I must do for it?
Thank you very much
Kind regards
Lucidissimo

Hi  Lucidissimo,
Use transaction SARA and configure archiving object PM_EQUI. You´ll also have to define variants for the pre-processing and write jobs. Then run the jobs.
Also, have a look at below document from page 8 that describes the process to archive equipments:
http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/print46c/en/data/pdf/CAARCPM/CAARCPM.pdf
Bear in mind that you need to set the deletion flag for the equipments that you want to archive, do so in transaction IE02. SAP will allow you to set the deletion flag to any equipment but then there are many restrictions to archive an equipment, you can run analysis report RIARCEQ1 (where-used lists for pieces of equipment) to see if an equipment is "archivable".
Hope this helps. Cheers.

  • Strange problem with PP_ORDER with SARA

    Hello,
We are facing a problem with archiving  of PP_ORDER object.
We archived production orders from  100000000096 to 100000000113 where:
    1. Order 100000000113 which was collective order for orders 1..104 to 1..112
    2. Order 100000000103 which was collective order for orders 1..96 to 1..102
The case is that subordinated orders was archived with SARA properly and deleted from system. Unfortunately orders 1..113 and 1..103 wasn't archived. They doesn;t exist in archived files.
But when I type 100000000113 in CO02 i have a message "Order is already deleted. Do you want to display the order?". And I can display it despite that this should be archived but isn't.
Also when I try to push 'collective order overview" button in CO02 at order 100000000113 nothing is happened.
Any idea how to do proper archivisation of these two collective orders?
Now If I try to do another SARA PP_ORDER archivisation of orders 1..113 and 1..103 SARA is searching of its subordinate orders, and nothing is found = no archivization.
    Best regards,
    Michal

The case is that subordinated orders was archived with SARA properly and deleted from system
Check that the archiving sessions finish correctly in SARA -> Management and that the archive data is accesible on the storage system.
Check in the Archive explorer (SARI) that you can find the data, using the archive object and info structure.
The data should have not been deleted if the archiving session had problems during the process.

    Juan

  • Tables not archived with CO_ORDER

    Hi All,
CO_ORDER is the archiving object for archiving orders in CO
The following tables though they are listed in DB15 transaction are not getting archived with CO_ORDER but the table entries are deleted while running the delete program pertaining to CO_ORDER. These tables however are getting archived and deleted with CO_ITEM archiving object with object type ORD
The list of tables that are getting deleted are COBK,COBK_INDX,COEJ,COEJL,COEJR,COEP,COEPB,COEPL,COEPR.
If CO_ORDER object alone has to be archived, then these tables will not get archived but will be directly deleted.
Is there any sequence in archiving CO_ITEM and CO_ORDER?
Any pointers to the same will be helpful.

    Hi,
Refer to the following note and its referenced corresponding notes for further information into this issue.
Note: 110923  Archives cannot be read or accessed
In addition, also refer to the following note that provides further clarity on the use of archiving and analysis (especially the information in relation to Programs RARCCOA1, RARCCOA2)
    Note: 138688   Archiving/Controlling: table analysis
If this is an issue that the archive files for CO_ORDER are no longer available (Deleted), then please refer to the following information:
If you run the Analysis Program RKAARCS1 and the selection for the archive files shows a 'lightning bolt' this means the files are not accessible.
You can then check the archive information structures for CO_ORDER and if they are built. If they are not built there will be a 'red light' which indicates to build the structure via transaction SARI and Status. This is not possible if the Archive Files are not available though.
You will either have to restore the Archive files or Create a new Archive file. Care should be taken when you create Archive files that they are stored in a secure location and backed up on a seperate schedule than your normal backup.
I hope this information helps you get the results you are seeking.
    Kind Regards,
    Brendan

           Occurred on     12/08/2009 at   13:45:09
Syntax error in program "SAPLARCH ".
    What happened?
The following syntax error occurred in the program SAPLARCH :
"Method "GET_DATA" is unknown or PROTECTED or PRIVATE."
    Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPMAADM" had to be terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    What can you do?
Please eliminate the error by performing a syntax check
(or an extended program check) on the program "SAPLARCH ".
You can also perform the syntax check from the ABAP/4 Editor.
If the problem persists, proceed as follows:
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
    Error analysis
The following syntax error was found in the program SAPLARCH :
"Method "GET_DATA" is unknown or PROTECTED or PRIVATE."
    How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
    following documents to SAP:
    1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
    2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
       part.
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
       supply the source code.
To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

This might happen if the orginal function module ARCHIVE_GET_INFORMATION in LARCHF03 program is altered, bring back the the function module to original, it might solve your problem.

  • BC_XMB archiving via SARA

    Hi
I have a problem with BC_XMB archiving via SARA:
    Pr 1: Archiving screen (program RSXMB_ARCHIVE_MESSAGES) requires a number range input (0 - 99)...no date-range.
    Pr 2: Test-mode showed 25,536 XML messages in date-range 20090928 - 20100211 that could be archived.
    Qestions:
    1. If the screen is correct for BC_XMB archiving, then the number range in "Pr 1" must have been set via transaction SPRO. Where is this on SAP or which transaction to run?
    2. "Schedule Archiving Job" via transaction SXMS_ADMI_ARCH does not run in test-mode. I have run it before, thus taking away recent messages. Which program to use in oder to archive & delete those messages still dating from 2006 in the SXMS tables (including SXMSPERROR)?
    Kind Regards
    Merriman

    Dear Merriman,
I saw your thread which addresses the very same issue as reported in your OSS ticket.
Please note that we have investigated your system and we also have arranged next steps with Primary Support. We kindly ask you to stick to the recommendations given in that OSS ticket as the same will guide you through this issue.
However, I will provide a brief answer to your first question regarding "Pr 1" in this forum as the information might be of general interest: the number ranges are used internally for determining a proper startup configuration for archiving. This is done by standard PI archiving job SAP_BC_XMB_ARCHIVE<client>. This one is to be scheduled by transaction SXMS_ADMI_ARCH only. Please do not use any transaction other than that!
Regarding your second question please note that you are suffering from an artefact described in SAP Note 1101755. That note advises to contact SAP Support for an individual solution. The solution will be provided to you by an custom report as stated by my colleague from Primary Support in his last reply to you.

  • UnZipping an archive with folders inside

    Hello, everyone.
A friend of mine asked me to create him an "auto-downloader" type of program, to download a ZIP archive, then extract the information to the user's computer (no, it is not harmful).
Anyways, I've been trying mutliple ways, and I've come pretty far with the one I'm currently using. The only problem is, I'm using user.home as the file location for the zip, and creating a folder in there seems to just not want to work. This is the only way I could think of doing it, but I'm sure there are easier ways.. here's what I'm using:
    import java.awt.BorderLayout;
    import java.awt.Dimension;
    import java.io.BufferedInputStream;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    import java.io.FileOutputStream;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.InputStream;

If what I've said before doesn't make sense (mind you me, it's 4 am and I'm about to crawl into bed), then I'll try to sum it up in a few short words below.
I'm trying to extract a ZIP archive with folders, every time I do, it stops halfway through and throws an error similar to this:
    invalid cache index specified
    ..\animations\raw
java.io.FileNotFoundException: ..\animations\raw (The system cannot find the pat
    h specified)

            at Updater.get(Updater.java:64)
            at Client.main(Client.java:2548)
Press any key to continue . . .I'm just trying to be able to extract cache (ZIP ARCHIVE) which has folders inside. I've tried creating a directory for the folder, but it seems to not work, hence the "?" in the above error (i printed that if the directory failed to create a new directory, as seen in my above code). Once again, sorry if this isn't as understandable as it should be, I'm not myself without sleep :)
Also, do ignore the first print, 'invalid cache index specified', it's not related to the problem.

So your question is really about how to make a directory, then. Nothing at all to do with unzipping of archives.
If you can't create a directory, then perhaps there is some permissions problem. You don't have the authority to create directories in some directory. Or perhaps you're trying to use a name which isn't a valid directory name in your system. Or... there are many other possibilities. But anyway I recommend tossing all of that unzipping business out of your program and just trying to write something which creates a directory. Debug that first.

  • Can't open iDVD 4 archive with iDVD 6.03

I am trying to open a project created in iDVD 4 with iDVD 6.03. I saved it as an archive and transferred it from my emac to my macbook pro. The file is 76 mb so I believe the photos and theme is saved in the archive. When I try to open the iDVD 4 archive with iDVD 6 it either crashes immediately or does nothing. By doing nothing I mean that the archive does not open and the menus are still available in iDVD 6. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't ask me how I figured this out because it was really just dumb luck. The problem seems to be that the font I used on the emac and iDVD 4 was not on the macbook pro with iDVD 6. Once I dragged the font across the network it opened up fine. Too bad iDVD 6 couldn't give me an error message telling me that there was a missing font like some other programs do...

You can't. All you can do is create an encrypted disk image, mount it, and copy the archive to it.

  • Equipment hierarchy with Non serialized products to Installed base in CRM

    Hi,
I have just performed an equipment download from R/3 to CRM. I now have these records created as individual objects assigned to an installed base.
However my equipment record in R/3 has Serialized Products as well as non serialized products in form of BOM (bill of material).
Example: Equipment Hierarchy (In R/3 )
10123428  Main Equipment have 2 non serialized product
199-012100         (Non serialized product under this equipment)
270-012200         (Non serialized product under this equipment)
10123429         Subordinate equipment to main equipment
                                  (Serialized  product )
340-070800  (Non serialized product under this 2nd equipment)
270-562700  (Non serialized product under this 2 nd equipment)
The Main equipment(10123428) is created as installed base in CRM successfully.
The Subordinate Serialized product (10123429) to main equipment is created as individual object under this Installed base of the Main equipment properly.
But the non serialized products (199-012100,270-012200 ) for main equipment  and non serialized products (340-070800 ,270-562700)for the subordinate serialized product are not coming in CRM .
Because When I go to IB53 transaction there is no entry in the components in the product Tab under product id column.
Has anyone replicated R/3 equipment records with BOM structure into CRM and got their Non serialized products visible in the components of the Individual objects.
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Prabhakaran,
You can filter the data downloaded from R/3 to CRM based on the filter criteria assigned to adapter objects. You can do this via transaction R3AC1 wherein you specify the table and fields based on which you want to filter out the data.
For Serial Numbers and Equipments the business objects are SERIAL and EQUIPMENT respectively.
Reward with points if this helps.

  • How to uncompress *.tar.gz archive with p7zip (or gunzip)?

How do I uncompress a.tar.gz archive with p7zip?
I tried the following (as root from directory /tmp):
      p7zip -d "/media/Backup Full/logfiles2014.03.tar.gz"
without success. p7zip tells me: "unknown suffix"
Even (as root from /tmp directory)
      gunzip -d "/media/Backup Full/logfiles2014.03.tar.gz"
does not work. I was told "No such file or directory"
But I am sure the path to DVD is correct. I can see it in File Browser
So how else can I uncompress a *.tar.gz (to /tmp folder)?
I guess the extracted output should automatically be put in the directory where p7zip/gunzip is started.
If an additional output directory parameter is necessary then the output should go to /tmp

The Solaris 11 tar command actually understands gz format:
    tar xf /media/Backup Full/logfiles2014.03.tar.gz
Much simpler. See the man page for tar.

  • How to ship a plug-in archive with my own files and directories ?

    Hi:
    - Can I ship a module plug-in archive with my own properties file and my own directories ?
    - If yes, how can I do this and where would my own properties file and my directories be located ?
    Thanks
    John

The files included with a plug-in all serve very specific purposes, as such there's not a lot of flexibility in what you can deliver with the plug-in. The only real spot where you do get some flexibility is with the scripts you deliver with the plug-in. Those have their own directory structure:
    AGENT_SCRIPTS_DIR/emx/<target_type>/
You can put files into this directory, but you wouldn't be able to create more directory structure under that directory.

  • BAPI to create equipment hierachy with reference to another equipment

    HI,
is there any BAPI to create equipment hierarchy with reference to another equipment.
i.e. in selection screen i pass two equipments, one has hierachy and another one don't have hierarchy.
then it copy hierachy first equipment hierarchy and create same hierarchy for second equipment.

    Hi,
There are no standard BAPI to do that. You will have to create a custom program which would read the current equipment hierarchy and build the hierarchy from the lowest level, by using the equipment create BAPI and  Equipment install BAPI.

how can I get last visited pages on 08/06/12. I can't see it in my history. Is there any archives with please give that history. (only need amazon.co.uk)

hello the history is the only place where firefox stores the visited pages. change your settings in firefox > options > privacy when you want to keep the visited sites in the future & make sure that no external programs (like security or "tune-up" software) is clearing the history either. when firefox is launched in private borwsing mode, it won't keep history information for this session.
