Equipment Components Cannibalization

Hi All,
My client is implementing an equipment cannibalization process wherein spare parts of an equipment on stand-by are removed and transferred to a similar component in need of that spare parts. They require a documentation of these movements since at times these equipment (the ones on stand by) are sold and buyers require a list of spare parts removed or defective parts (from the equipment that used the on stand-by equipment's spare parts) installed in these equipment.
For example. Prime Mover A is on standby when Prime Mover B needed a transmission gear. Maintenance orders the removal of tranmission gear from Prime Mover A and the installation of the same to Prime Mover B. My client documents this manually right now and whats to put it in SAP. Showing the Equipment where the parts came from and where it will be installed.
Can anyone help me figure out a standard way by which I can accomplish this requirement in SAP ECC 6 PM?  Im planning to make a new notification type but i cannot configure the view screens to contain the information of such movement.
Thanks for the help.
Andrew

hi
iam not sure ,you can use the IE4N T code for this, try to create equipment with BOM of required material with serial numbers ,so that you an trace back
define the separate notification for this and assign in the IMG settings for installation and dismantle, hence when you do the install/dismantle/replace you can get the notification details.
first dismantle the material with serial number
then install to the respective FL or equipment

  • Managing warranties for equipment components

Hi! I have the following issue:
I need to implement a solution where user can manage warranties for equipment's components besides the equipment warranty. User requires that when a new component is assigned to an equipment, like bill of materials or any other way..system advises him when creating a notification or maintenance order over the equipment, if any of its components is under warranty, eventhough equipment  warranty period had expired.
Does anyone know any way how to manage it?
    Thanks in advance,

  • What is International business Division related bond licences, ARE forms?

What is International business Division related bond licences, ARE forms?

    Hi Goutam
In International Business, to encourage the exporters, Government of India have introduced various incentive schemes to bring more revenue to country.  Listing a few for your information.
<b>1)  Duty Entitlement Pass Book Scheme
    </b>
Duty Entitlement Pass Book Scheme (DEPB Scheme)- The scheme is easy to administer and more transparent. The scheme is similar to Cenvat credit scheme. The exporter gets credit when he exports the goods. The credit is on basis of rates prescribed. This credit can be utilised for payment of customs duty on imported goods.
The objective of the scheme is to neutralise incidence of customs duty on the import content of export product. The neutralisation shall be provided by way of grant of duty credit against the export product.
Exports under DEPB scheme are allowed only when DEPB rate for the concerned export product is finalised.
Under this scheme, exporters will be granted duty credit on the basis of notified entitlement rates. The entitlement rates will be notified by DGFT. The entitlement rates will be a % of FOB.  The entitlement rate will be fixed on basis of SION (Standard Input Output Norms) and deemed import content. Value addition achieved in export product will also be taken into account.  Supplies made to unit in SEZ are also entitled to DEPB.  DEPB is issued only on post-exportation basis. Excise duty paid in cash on inputs will be eligible for brand rate of duty drawback.
<b>2)  Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme
    </b>
EPCG scheme - Under Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme, a licence holder can import capital goods (i.e. plant, machinery, equipment, components and spare parts of the machinery) at concessional rate of customs duty of 5% and without CVD and special duty. Computer software systems are also eligible. Import of spares of capital goods is permitted, without any limit. Jigs, fixtures, dies, moulds will be allowed to the extent of 100% of CIF value of licence. Spares for existing plant and machinery can also be imported. Second hand capital goods upto 10 year old can also be imported under EPCG scheme.
EPCG authorisation is issued with validity period of 24 months
    <b>3)  Advance License</b>
An advance licence is granted for the import of inputs without payment of basic customs duty. Such licences shall be issued in accordance with the policy and procedure in force on the date of issue of the licence and shall be subject to the fulfillment of a time-bound export obligation, and value addition as maybe specified. Advance licences maybe either value based or quantity based.
As per the latest amendments to the EXIM Policy, the facility of Back to Back Inland Letter of Credit has been introduced, to enable an Advance Licence holder to source his inputs from domestic suppliers.
    Value based advance license
Under a value based advance licence, any of the inputs specified in the licence maybe imported within the total CIF value indicated for those inputs, except inputs specified as sensitive items.
Under a value based advance licence, both the quantity and the FOB value of the exports to be achieved shall be specified. It shall be obligatory on the part of the licence holder to achieve both the quantity and FOB value of the exports specified in the licence.
    <b>4)  Drawback
    </b>
Drawback is allowable if any manufacture, process or any operation is carried out in India [section 75(1) of Customs Act]. Thus, drawback is available not only on manufacture, but also on processing and job work, where goods may not change its identity and no ‘manufacture’ has taken place.
Type of Drawback Rates – All Industry Drawback rates are fixed by Directorate of Drawback, Dept. of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, Jeevan Deep, Parliament Street, New Delhi - 110 001. The rates are periodically revised - normally on 1st June every year. Data from industry is collected for this purpose. The types of rates are as follows :
<b>All Industry Rate</b> - This rate is fixed under rule 3 of Drawback Rules by considering average quantity and value of each class of inputs imported or manufactured in India. Average amount of duties paid is considered. These rates are fixed for broad categories of products. The rates include drawback on packing materials. Normally, the rates are revised every year from 1st June, i.e. after considering the impact of budget, which is presented in February every year. All Industry drawback rate is not fixed if the rate is less than 1% of FOB Value, unless the drawback claim per shipment exceeds Rs 500.
The AIR (All Industry Rate) is usually fixed as % of FOB price of export products. However, in respect of many export products, duty drawback cap (ceiling) has been prescribed, so that even if an exporter gets high price, his duty drawback eligibility does not go above the ceiling prescribed.
<b>Brand Rate</b>  - It is possible to fix All Industry Rate only for some standard products. It cannot be fixed for special type of products. In such cases, brand rate is fixed under rule 6. The manufacturer has to submit application with all details to Commissioner, Central Excise. Such application must be made within 60 days of export. This period can be extended by Central Government by further 30 days. Further extension can be granted even upto one year in if delay was due to abnormal situations as explained in MF(DR) circular No. 82/98-Cus dated 29-10-1998.
<b>Special Brand Rate</b> - All Industry rate is fixed on average basis. Thus, a particular manufacturer may find that the actual duty paid on inputs is higher than All Industry Rate fixed for his product. In such case, he can apply under rule 7 of Drawback Rules for fixation of Special Brand Rate, within 30 days from export. The conditions of eligibility are (a) the all Industry rate fixed should be less than 80% of the duties paid by him (b) rate should not be less than 1% of FOB value of product except when amount of drawback per shipment is more than Rs. 500 (c) export value is not less than the value of imported material used in them - i.e. there should not be ‘negative value addition’.
    <b>5)  ARE Forms
    </b>
Any goods manufactured in India and exported, means the rebate of duty or tax, as the case may be, chargeable on any imported materials or excisable materials used or taxable services used as input services in the manufacture of such goods. To account all these transactions, Central Excise have asked the manufacturers to submit various forms depending upon their business.  ARE form is mainly used for exports for claiming excise duty either by Letter of Undertaking, Bond or Rebate.
Last but not least, unfortunately, in SAP, but for excise, none of the issues are addressed.
Hope this information would suffice.  Reward if this helps you.
    Thanks
    G. Lakshmipathi

  • Stock update of equipment and its individual components when dismantling?

    Dear experts,
We are buying an equipment(for ex.Generator) and we would like to dismantle the equipment into individual components(ex..motor,alternator etc) and build the stock of the individual components in stores so that we can use the components for different maintenance acitivities.when we dismantle the components the stock of the actual equipment(generator) should become 0 and stock of the individual components(ex..motor,alternator etc) should get added in the stores. How can we map this scenario?
    Regards,
    Ashraf

    Ashraf
When I read your requirement I forsee you proceed in the following way
Seems you are buying a assembly instead of buying individual spares
You need to convert that as a Equipment by issuing to  a Maintenance order only if you feel
It's going to be installed physically in a location & starts operating as a technical object
Other wise if it's going to be dismandled into separate spares please discuss with MM consultants
as it involves stock movements ,they can map into a process
Don't issue it against Maintenance order route in this case

  • Customer service warranty for components in an equipment

    Hi Friends
Pl guide me how to configure the warranty for an equipment where only few components only will be replaced free of charge to the customer during warranty few components are charged during warranty, how to bill for the components that will be charged during warranty.
    Thanx and regards
    syed.

I, too, had to followup via telephone with Tech. support in the Philippines.
They dropped the ball, but quickly regrouped and the process is back on track to attain a fix.
Apparentely, there is a "Service Depot" in San Jose, TX (SAT).
I did not experience "hold times, " so only can advise to telephone back, take names and notes.
Ask to speak with a supervisor, if at all possible, try and remain somewhat calm.

  • DVI-to-VGA adapter disabled on HDMI-equipped monitors?

Can anyone with an Apple DVI-to-VGA adapter on a Core Duo or Core 2 Duo (both at 10.6.8, currently and probably forever) still connect to a second monitor if the monitor also has an HDMI port? I could until early 2011. From 2008 to 2010 I could connect to every VGA monitor through the DVI adapter.
I thought the DVI-out on my MBP died but got a newer MBP and it, too, doesn't work on any HDMI-equipped screens. Both computers and all my DVI-to-VGA adapters work fine on monitors without HDMI. Yes, I rebooted. No, it's not the cables. Again, all components otherwise work in other arrangements. I am not talking about any other setups. The HDMI-equipped monitors all work fine with miniDisplayPort-to-VGA plugs (today!) from newer Macs.
Any work-arounds? Anyone have a best-recommendation on an adapter that works still?

Thanks, BSteely, I have the latest QT and iTunes already. Closing the lid seems to kick the MacBook external display into some special mode that Front Row can't display videos in. For example, you get the Front Row interface, but as you select movies/TV shows, the preview window on the left side is blank. Open the cover, and have both displays going, and you can see the previews fine (and of course, you can see the movies/TV shows play fine as well when you click on them)
Running Quicktime Player full screen works fine without Front Row in either open or closed lid mode. So it is apparently something wrong with Front Row itself.

  • Error while creating equipment BOM (IB01)

    hi guys,
while creating equipment BOM (IB01) i am getting this error, while adding components.
'Material type NLAG cannot be used with item category (plant 1000)'.
    regards
    chinta

    HI Chinta,
I understood ur problem IB01-give the equipment number which is generated by the system and give plant name in which you have created the equipment and bom usage as 4 (plant maintenance) and press enter.
Then you will get the components list give the description, quantity and item category as:
as you gave it as L it is throwing an error give it as N(Non stock item), then you wont get the error.while selecting the item cat. you will get differnet components and you select the appropriate one based on you equipment.Hope you issue is resolved.

Control Center configurations and tabs are all the same but the color is changed to black and red and ofcourse the addition of the Dragon logo. Same goes for the Click Bios II Gaming version.
The response of the BIOS is much faster. Tabs are all the same though.
    Another set of UEFI screenshots.
That’s it for now and will be updating this with benchmarks stay tuned….

    Manoj,
The following is the tested solution.
    Table join
    Output
This figure shows the case of a Equipment BOM where 3 components are there. Installed Quantity are 4, 1, 1 respectively. Last two columns are showing the Storage Locations and the Stocks available.
    Fields taken to output are
From STPO : IDNRK MENGE MEINS
    From MARD  LGORT LABST
As said before, more than this you can not do in SQVI. With this basic join in SQ02, using codes in Extras you can do much more.

  • Item category in equipment BOM ?

    hi all,
how could i chose the item category of a component while creating equipment BOM.
how do i know weather it is of 'L' of 'N' or any thing else.
    regards,
    chandra

    Hi
Item category L- stands for stock items i.e. for these items you normally maintains stocks.
N- is Non stock item i.e. when you use it in BOM its for idication only. However when one creates order & assigns components of item category N, it trigers a PR for immediate procurement. So check with your business requirement.
    Regards

    Solution
    Hi,
It is what I guessed as the web page explains. The domain.xml file does not recognize any equipment name that has an acute in it. That was my case. So I have changed the name of my equipment and the problem was resolved when I installed the GlassFish again.
Thanks for all of you about to visit my posts
    See you around,
    Oggie
    PS:
Here I leave you the tag in the domain.xml that causes the problem,
    <jms-service addresslist-behavior="random" addresslist-iterations="3" default-jms-host="default_JMS_host" init-timeout-in-seconds="60" reconnect-attempts="3" reconnect-enabled="true" reconnect-interval-in-seconds="5" type="EMBEDDED">
            <jms-host admin-password="admin" admin-user-name="admin" host="Jose" name="default_JMS_host" port="7676"/>
</jms-service>I hope this time you get it like me

  • Equipment hierarchy with Non serialized products to Installed base in CRM

    Hi,
I have just performed an equipment download from R/3 to CRM. I now have these records created as individual objects assigned to an installed base.
However my equipment record in R/3 has Serialized Products as well as non serialized products in form of BOM (bill of material).
Example: Equipment Hierarchy (In R/3 )
10123428  Main Equipment have 2 non serialized product
199-012100         (Non serialized product under this equipment)
270-012200         (Non serialized product under this equipment)
10123429         Subordinate equipment to main equipment
                                  (Serialized  product )
340-070800  (Non serialized product under this 2nd equipment)
270-562700  (Non serialized product under this 2 nd equipment)
The Main equipment(10123428) is created as installed base in CRM successfully.
The Subordinate Serialized product (10123429) to main equipment is created as individual object under this Installed base of the Main equipment properly.
But the non serialized products (199-012100,270-012200 ) for main equipment  and non serialized products (340-070800 ,270-562700)for the subordinate serialized product are not coming in CRM .
Because When I go to IB53 transaction there is no entry in the components in the product Tab under product id column.
Has anyone replicated R/3 equipment records with BOM structure into CRM and got their Non serialized products visible in the components of the Individual objects.
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Prabhakaran,
You can filter the data downloaded from R/3 to CRM based on the filter criteria assigned to adapter objects. You can do this via transaction R3AC1 wherein you specify the table and fields based on which you want to filter out the data.
For Serial Numbers and Equipments the business objects are SERIAL and EQUIPMENT respectively.
Reward with points if this helps.
    Regards,
    Gaurav Gera
