Equipment Mass Change

Hi To All,
Is there a way that we/I can make a mass change in the WBS of our equipment?
As it is right now, I have to pull up a query of equipment under the same WBS number and go into each piece of equipment and change the WBS to the new number that we will use for the next year. Is it possible for me to bring up a query of equipment and change them all at once instead of one at a time.

As far as I know CNMASS is the standard transaction to carry out mass change of WBS elements,network,activities,activity elements, relationships,milestones.I do not think it will help u in your requirement rather you can use BDC or LSMW for mass changes. create recording (SHDB) using change transaction ( foe example: IE02) and with the help of an ABAPER you can develop a BDC program for the recording .Then develop the input file based on the changes for the Equipment masters .Now exeute the program with the input file.

Follow up action 14 Inspection Type- Equipment status change

could anyone tell me which follow up action for 14 inspection type is to be bought into for changing Equipment Availablity status to Non Availability status when I reject calibration lot for that particular equipment.

Equipment Partner Change - Userexit

Hello,
if the ship-to-party for an Equipment in IE02 is changed we need to check if there are existing servicecontracts for the equipment and old ship-to-party. Because this contract need to be changed as well.
Which userexit or BADI could we use for such a check?

ICSV0003 works for partner change / partner determination in service orders.
It seems to be not used in partner change in the equipmentmaster with transaction IE02.
Do you have an idea for this IE02 partner change?

System status blank for equipment - no changes allowed

Hi,
We want to dismantle an equipment as it is no longer at the customer's location.
When I go in IE02, I get following message.
"Change technical object" is not allowed (EQU 10051040 )
    Message no. BS002
Diagnosis
    The transaction 'Change technical object' is not allowed for EQU
    10051040, because no status is set to permit it.
System Response
    You cannot carry out the transaction 'Change technical object'.
Procedure
    You can carry out this transaction if you set a user status, which
    permits 'Change technical object'.
I put the User Status on "Released", but still not possible to change the equipment.
When checking the System Status, I noticed that it is blank.
As no changes are allowed, I cannot manually change the System Status.
Also in IQ02 I get the same message and no System Status is filled.
Anyone an idea how to workaround so we can dismantle the equipment?

Yes I have run that program, but it hasnt changed anything. There is a user status AVLB in the equipment. When i checked in the status profile, this user status is not forbidden for any transactions. The program RISTEQ03 seems to work if there no user status also. But for my case, a user status is there, but there is no system status. Since there is no system status, the equipment could not be accessed through change mode (ie02). I need the system status AVLB in the equipment. The equipment does not even have any other details like functional location, maint. plant, sales area data, etc. in it.

Equipment Characteristics Change Log

Hi,
I have a requirement of maintaining the log of the changes that are done to the characteristics of the equipment which is a transactional data. Is there any possible way of doing that.
The equipment data is not only changed manually but it is changed by the interfaces from third party systems through IDOC's, i want to maintain these changes as well.

Changing the status of Equipment in a follow up action

Hi All,
           I have a requirement in which a function module will be triggered for a particular Follow up action.
In this FM we have to determine the equipment and the Maintenance Order , if both are available , status of the equipment
should change to 'A' , status of maintenance - order = 'Technically completed' and Maintenance Notification = 'Notification Completed' .
How can this be done.? I am able to change the status of Maintenance order and notification but can anyone help me in
determining the equipment and changing its status to 'A'. ?

                 The process is as follows :
1) During Calibration of a product,depending on the technician's User decision , 3 follow up actions are created.
2) Each follow up action has one FM associated with it, which is customised in      SPRO > Display IMG > Quality Management > Quality Inspection > Inspection Lot Completion > Define follow-Up Action .
3) In the first case ( first Follow up action when the inspection is successful) the first FM is triggered. In this FM we have to perform the following steps :
                               a) Determine the Maintenance Order and the equipment.
                               b) Incase both are available, status of equipmnt should be changed to 'A',
                                   Maintenance Order should be changed to 'Technically completed' and
                                   Maintenance Notification to 'Notification Completed' .

How to change the changed by name of an equipment

hi All,
My Problem is as follows..
Xi interface send a file which will contain data to create equipments. this will also contain the user name field . The equipment created/changed by should be with this user ID.
I create set of Equipments(Through BAPI) and update the stock information thorugh BDC using IE02. my problem is i could create the Equipment with the user id given in the file. but when i do stock updation through IE02 it takes sy-uname. i tried to pouplate sy-uname with the name given in the file jus before call transaction IE02. it is not working.
I tried using BAPI BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE to change the changed by field but no luck.
Any pointers on how to resolve this would be highly appreciated.

The structure of our group made up of several companies esr (Technical), each company is composed of several teams assigned to it, if we seek a procedure on SAP to track the change in the allocation of such equipment between companies
Currently, we modify the plug equipment directly (Changing the Division location, Company, Computer technical and business area) to trace the change of use.

Change Document for IH08 (Equip Record)

Hello,
I need to track some specific fields for the equipment record (EQUI) that changes over time. We are currently using Change Documents (CDHDR & CDPOS) in order to achieve this (it worked with the majority of the fields).
We have been told that we also need to track when an equipment change it status, for instance, the equipment has change from Active (ACTV) to Inactive (INAC). I'm wondering why this type of changes are not being populated neither in the CDHDR table nor CDPOS. I also went to the IH08 transaction -> Extras -> Display Changes and is not reflected there as well.
Is the equipment status different than the other field changes? What would be the best approach in order to track if a Equipment Status changed?

I have scenario different customer sites the FL and equipments are installed and working fine
but found if one rating of the equipment is changed to 100 A from 50 A the efficency increases
Now I have done for ons site but i want to make change in one shot insted of going to each 100 sites
what is the solution

You create LSMW with Object:0400 and Method:0002

Equipment action log and display changes nnot updating

Hello Guys,
it is little strange but for some of the equipments action log and display changes are not being updated.
The records are there only till 2007 but since 2008 whatever changes we make now they are not being recorded in action log or changes.
But strange thing here is usage list is being updated as it is supposed to be.
i have checked most of the config. but really not helpful.
i am clueless here.
Can anyone help?

Synchronisation of assets and equipment

Hi All,
I'm busy trying to link our assets to our equipment. In SPRO, i am trying to add two more fields for synchronisation.
I went to SPRO> Financial Accounting> Asset Accounting> Master Data> Automatic Creation of equipment master records> Assign Master Data Fields of Assets and Equipment
I enter the two new fields, but when i save it, it gives me the error " Consistency check for TAAPM2 resulted in error"
I did this before and never got this error. I tried searching on this forum, but nothing for this error.
Any advice on what to do?

I entered Equipment category as M (Machines), Object type as 2113 (Vehicles)
In Edit Asset Master Records I selected u2018Direct Synchronization After savingu2019 for create equipment and change equipment.
In u2018Assign Data Fields of Assets and Equipmentsu2019 I did not do any changes
In u2018Develop Enhancement for field and class assignmentu2019 I did not do any changes.
Still it does not create any equipments when I'm creating assets.

I am SAP MDM consultant and I am working on a rquirement to model the Equipment Master Data in my repository.
SAP MDM only requires master data from Equipment master.
Kindly give me list of master data in Equipment master and give links explaining Equipment creation and maintenance process.

I don't think there is a standard program and IDOC , You will have to custom generate all of them.(Custom IDOC type, Custom program to send out IDOC, Use standard Equipment create / change event or standalone program to execute the IDOC generation).

Auto status change after UD

Hi Guys
I have one requirement which is as described below:
Calibration schedule is being prepared for vernier with the help of maint plan. But while doing UD the requirement is that if UD code is "cannot be used" then the vernier should be locked by system for further use.
I have made use of follow up action for that and a pop up appears while saving UD where the fields stated are object, description of object, present status of object and status required, but all are greyed out. How can i change the status to locked?
Please provide inputs if anybody has done the same thing.

the equipment status changing is depend on the result you recorded and the valuation done ,it is not based on usage decision .
After making the result recording ,while saving system will prompt you with message for valuation ,whether it is accepted or not ,where you have to specify your requirement ,and while making usage decision system will promt you with the message as current status and status required where there will be option to change ,if you want ,kindly mark the change button or else leave it
