Hi
1) Create a Non valuated material for the equipment .
2) Create a Contract with  with account assignment category ( say K) and maintain the leasing conditions,Followed by release order
3) Perform GR when the equipment has arrived
accounting entries would be
Expenses Dr
GR/IR clearing Cr
You cannot hit Inventory because these are purchased on lease and they are not yours .
Note: The Stock of Equipment/Material will be visible in MMBE

  • Leased Asset Process

    Hello All,
    I have an query that suppose i have to purchase asset on lease basis for 5 yrs and in the agreement there is lesser and lesse and they fix the monthly rent of this asset 5000/ they mutually agreed ,then what should be the initial purchase amount of that asset which is to be credited to the lesser a/c and debited to asset a/c .
    what could be depreciation key would be used for this whether 0% or any thing else.
    Ownership of an asset belongs to lesser not lessee.
    how this process would be done in SAP.

    Hi Prem
    The following [link|Re: Leased Assets - Calculation of Dep, Interest & Present value] would be very helpful for understanding the depreciation/interest on leased assets.

  • Vendor Debiting from Warranty claim processing  module to SAP AP

    Hi
    We are having a process of debiting vendors for all the failed parts under warranty module. Since in SAP Warranty claim processing module, vendor debits are done claim by claim, is there any way where we can cumulate all the claims of a particular vendor and do vendor debiting at summarised level in SAP AP. Request your insight knowledge in this respect.
    Thanks

    Dear SANTOSH KUMAR,
    This feature is added newly in ECC 6.0, this is specially useful in Customer Service environment.
    Basic concept of Warrant claim processing is, we have manufactured or leased or sold an equipment to a customer and offer the service to customer also we provide warranty to the customer on that equipment for certain period with certain conditions.
    In this case we maintain the equipment warranty and process the warranty as and when required, ex: customer has got a problem in the equipment and that cover warranty, then the service provider raises a warranty claim, the supplier or original manufacturer processes the warranty claim and issues a credit note to the customer or replaces a new part.
    This also involves sales and distribution module to some extent.
    Hope this info clarifies your doubt.
    Regards,
    Praveen.

  • Update superior equipment status based on sub equipment status

    Dear friends,
    I have a scenario for calibration process for  which there are two equipments .One sub equipment and the other superior equipment. Calibration process is done for sub equipment and I have given usage decision as rejected based on which sub equipment staus gets updated as NPRT(PRT not ready for use). Now the client requirement is as that the superior equipment also get the status NPRT since they are linked through superior/sub equipment relation. Kindly suggest some solutions.
    best regds
    Arun

    Dear friends ,
    I have observed that if a sub equipment is assigned to a superior equipment ,the equipment status of sub equipment does not get updated when calibration process is run.(NPRT status does not get updated if an equipment is installed to a superior eqpt when usage decision is made for not accepted). So there is no possiblity of updating the superior equipment status. Hence kindly ignore my query.

  • Reprehensible Practice - Returns of Equipment and Discontinuance of Quantam Enhanced Service

    About two months ago, I modified my TV service to just local tv and canceled my quantum enhanced service.  Despite sending in my equipment (five set top boxes) in the prepaid box provided by UPS on November 6 and verifying it was received through ups tracking the following day, I received an email on November 21 that indicated 2 of the boxes were received.  I have not received any subsequent emails indicating that the three additional boxes were received, despite being packaged in the same box as the other two and done in the instructed way with serial numbers up.
    Since the 21st, I have called Verizon 3 times and keep being told the same nonsense - wait until the next bill.  Well i waited, and this bill reflrects my account as having both the Quantum Enhanced at 22$ (despite specifically canceling two months ago, and reaffirming the cancellation of the service on my two prior calls) and 3 set top boxes for $38.
    In my call today, December 9, I received ridiculous information from a rep whose training is apparently based upon talking around people.  He thought himself a hero by crediting me 22$ on my current bill for the enhanced service, although that's what i've requested for two months, and I'm owed the 22$ on my prior two bills anyway.
    As to the equipment, I was told things along the line of "there's no telling why it's only two, maybe the person didn't get around to it," as well as the expression of surprise that the UPS worker didn't physically open the package and individually scan each verizon box serial code, which seems bizarre and highly unlikely to be the protocol employed.  I was also told that, despite the two week lag in Verizon receiving the box and the apparent check in of the equipment, I would only be creditied as of when someone at Verizon got around to scanning and restocking the box.  So if that took two months (which it apparently did) then i'm paying for the boxes that are sitting on a floor at a Verizon warehouse.  I'm shocked that this would be the case.
    I was told that my account currently reflects that all of my equipment has been returned, but I've been told that on prior calls, and it's yet to be reflected in a bill.  Verizon seemingly has made a business decision that it's unlikely people like me wil sue them for the 120$ overcharges, and simply rips off its customers with regularity.
    With all this complaining, I am still in need of the situation being remedied, and nobody at Verizon seems equipped to (1) process my cancellation of services as of the day they were canceled via phone and (2) credit me with the return of the equipment as of the date Verizon received it.  This seems so basic to me, it's shocking that I have to write a long winded complaint.

    So, unbelievably, after crediting my account properly for the canceled service on my past bill, AGAIN, on this bill, a charge for 3 equipment rentals (returned in November) and Quantum Enhanced Service -  45$ worth of charges - are BACK on my bill!  It is absolutely absurd how poor Verizon's customer service is, not to mention how brazenly this company, seems to steal from its customers.  It's an amazing scam, they force you to inefficiently return set top boxes by mail as opposed to allowing you to return them at a store where you can be given assurance that all boxes are checked into the system, and then claim that they did not receive the packages.  I'm blown away by how terrible this company is.
    PERMANENTLY REMOVE THE CHARGES FROM MY BILL AND CREDIT ME THE FRAUDULENT AMOUNT CHARGED.
    ElizabethS wrote:
    Sorry you are having difficulty, an agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information to help you resolve your issue.

  • Equipment Creation during GR/GI

    Hi Gurus,
    Is there a way to control the creation of equipment in such a way that it will create an equipment number automatically after GR/GI?
    Thank you

    If its a serialized material, then you could use the standard functionality to trigger the auto create of equipment on GR process.
    For GI process or for Non-serialized materials you will have to develop some custom process to auto create the equipment after passing through your custom validations.

  • How to use CFschedule?

    I am trying to send an email with CFschedule... from what I can tell by looking at the documentation, I am doing it right. I am not getting any error messages but the email is not sending. The CFschedule is the action page of a form. When the form processed, it should set the CFschedule for another action page which sends the email. Here is the code -
    The code that fires on a form submit (I have verified that this page is being called properly)
    <cfschedule
    action="update"
    task ="sendemail"
    startDate ="3/18/2014"
    endDate ="3/18/2014"
    operation = "HTTPRequest"
    interval ="once"
    url = "sendemail.cfm"
    startTime = "10:43:00"
    >
    And the action page.
    <cfmail

        to="[email protected]"
        subject="Your Equipment Test">
    Your equipment lease is due back to CIE tomorrow.
    </cfmail>
    Thanks!

    Couple questions here...
    First.. Why are you using cfschedule to just send an email?  This could be more easily done in the form processor.
    Second... If you are using the cfschedule to do it what happens if 2 people submit the form at the same time?
    As for the email, check in the undelivered folder on the server for the email.  If it was unable to be sent it would be in there.

    I am currently reading the EPMA Admin documentation but i am not finding the resolution. Can anyone please give me some insight / direction.
    Thank you,
    Tony

    Hi,
    To associate an attribute dimension with a dimension you will need to do this in EPMA.
    Go to the application in EPMA and to the dimension library (you can right click the application > edit)
    Right click the dimension you want to an attribute associated with > "Create Association" > Select Attribute from the property dropdown.
    Select the attribute dimension from the dimension dropdown.
    To associate an attribute member, click on a dimension member and in the property section you can click Attribute and select the member.
    Cheers
    John

  • Airprint no longer working – router settings wrong?

    Airprint no longer working – router settings wrong?  Network TP-Link TD-W8951ND router.   version 5.1, Firmware build 120522.  As far as I know the settings are factory defaults with two exceptions.  My ISP input various settings to reflect my proper internet connect configuration.  I have assigned one static port “100” to a printer not currently on the network. Auto DHCP now starts at “101”.  Epson Artisan 837 printer.  New, Bonjour service name EPSON3FC9CA (Artisan 837),   auto IP address (currently 192.168.1.103), firmware WB15D3 38.38 linked wirelessly not by Ethernet.  iPhone 4S Software 6.1.3 (10B329).   iPad 3 Software version 6.1.3 (10B329)   Windows Vista 32-bit laptop, linked wirelessly, auto IP address  Windows 7 64-bit desktop, linked via Ethernet, auto IP address  MagicJack Plus, linked via Ethernet, auto IP address   Installing Epson On June 6, 2013, using my laptop, installed it wirelessly on my network.  Updated firmware etc.  All worked well.  Same for the desktop.  Again all functioning as planned.  The installed printer name was Artisan 837 (Network)  When I tried to use the Airprint function on my iPhone it could not find any Airprint printers.  I downloaded and ran the Bonjour print services wizard.  This created a printer named EPSON3FC9CA (Artisan 837).  I could now print wirelessly as planned. Problem solved I thought.  As of June 6, 2013 all software and firmware is current.  On June 12 attempted to link my iPad to Airprint for the first time.  It could not find an Airprint printer.  I tried my iPhone and it could no longer find an Airprint printer. I tried numerous powerdowns, reboots, reinstalls etc. to no avail.  I can point Safari wirelessly to the printer IP address on both iPhone and iPad and see the printer’s “web page” to check ink level, settings etc.  I downloaded Epson iPrint to both iPhone and iPad and that software works as planned allowing wireless printing.  I tested the Epson on my older Linksys router  and my iPad found it as an Airprint printer!  Worked wirelessly as planned.  Conclusions The only thing that is not working as planned is Airprint functionality on my TP-Link network. I am thinking there is a setting on the TP-Link router that needs to be adjusted to keep the Bonjour established software path open and persistent.  From the time I first established the Airprint connection to the next time I tried to establish a connection was some 6 days.  Although the iPad and iPhone renew their network lease every 90 days, the other equipment lease runs for 3 days before renewal.  I don’t know if the IP address of the Epson changed on renewal.  (Even if it did, I would hope the discover functionality should follow to the new address.)  Over that 6 day period there were no software or firmware changes.  As far as I know the only environmental change would be related to IP addresses or something else at the router level severing the connection.   Before trying a static IP setting for the Epson (and I don’t know if that will work) are there any other router settings to check that will clear up this situation?  I am sending this to TP-Link, Epson, Apple, and my ISP in hopes that a solution can be found.

    Thank you for your reply.  What I didn't mention was that I have spent days googling to find an solution.  I have tried most alternatives suggested to no avail.  My problem is quite technical and most probably has a very specific and simple solution related to my router (set ABC to 123XY).  All alternatives ended, "if this doesn't work contact the supplier".  So I have - Apple (here), Epson, TP-Link and my ISP.  When (if?) I find a solution I'll post it here for others to learn from.

  • Link functions are not working correctly

    I am have a number of links on my page and I am using the a;link, a:hover and a:visited commands but I am getting strange results. First of all my css is on a separate style sheet. What I am trying to do is have all my links in gray text both when before and after being visited and I want the text to change to red and underline when I hover over the link. My results are that in live view the links all seem to work ok except for my HOME link at the bottom of the page where it does not change color and does not underline. When I view in browser the results are worse. None of the links change when I hover over them excepts for the DOWNLOAD link. Also note that I have 4 columns of unordered lists about the footer which also does not work either. Here is the source and css code. Thanks for your help.

    When you use the link pseudclass in your css it has to be expressed in the correct order.
    LoVe HAte
    Link
    Visited
    Hover
    Active
    It doesn't matter that you have not expressed all four but the three that you have still need to be that way.
    Anyway, try it, we have nothing to lose!

  • BPM Simple Sample Application Error!!!

    hi,
    i have some problems with the bpm simple sample applications on our local sap nw ce system (7.1 ehp1 sp0)?
    on the esworkplace i have download the *.sca file and have import this file into my nwds.
    i following the simple sample documentation an define and configure the ERP and ERP_META Destinations on the nwds and our local sap nw ce system.
    also i do the future steps which was described (service registry, proxy settings, ...).
    on page 16 of the simple sample documetation is defined which Sofware Component has dependencies to other SC´s.
    the SC "BPEM_BUILDT" depends on the SC "ESMP_BUILDT" and "COMP_BUILDT", the SC "COMP_BUILT" doesnt exist on my nwds (7.1 ehp1 sp0).
    has everybody any idea why the SC "COMP_BUILT" not exist on my nwds???
    still this absent SC i can deploy the bpm simple sample successful to our sap nw ce system.
    now i do the post deployment steps for the bpm samples.
    after this i call the simple sample application on my sap nw ce portal and can execute the "Initiate Equipment Phase In Process".
    now i can see a new entry on my uwl, i open the uwl task.
    at step 1, 2, 3 i change no data an click next, after step 3 (create equipment) i get the following error:
    com.sap.esi.esp.service.server.query.discovery.ExtendedServiceException: no endpoints found for interface <br>
    IndividualMaterialERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In_V1 <br>

    after this error i test the endpoint manually. i call the service registry (sr.esworkplace.sap.com) an search the service:
    IndividualMaterialERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In_V1
    now i test the endpoint with the following data:
    MaintenancePlanningPlantID: 0001
    WorkCentreID: TECH.SER
    CategoryCode: M
    the return is the following:
    TypeID:005(PLM_SE_EAM_SC)
    SeverityCode:1
    Note:Individual Material 000000000010006703 is created
    i think the return from the service was successful.
    i hope somebody can help me!!!
    thanks,
    Fabian

    Hi Arafat,
    the destinations for the services are already configured::
    at destination template management > destination templates the following is defined:
    - Tab: General
    Destination Name: ERP
    Destination Type: Service Registry
    System: ABAP
    System Name: HU2
    Hostname: iwdf2379
    Installation Nr.: 0120003411
    Client: 800
    - Tab: Security
    Authentication: HTTP Authentication, User ID/Password (Basic)
    User ID: <es workplace user (suser)>
    pw: ******
    and
    - Tab: General
    Destination Name: ERP_META
    Destination Type: Service Registry
    System: ABAP
    System Name: HU2
    Hostname: iwdf2379
    Installation Nr.: 0120003411
    Client: 800
    - Tab: Security
    Authentication: HTTP Authentication, User ID/Password (Basic)
    User ID: <es workplace user (suser)>
    pw: ******
    also i have configured the same destination on my nwds.
    i think this is correct?
    futher ideas, why this doesnt work?
    thanks,
    fabian

  • Placing text in div causes the div to expand

    I have a floating div called itemboxfloat. It is a left floating div. I have placed a background image in the div which has the same dimension as the div but I had to specify no-repeat because if I used padding it would expand the space given for the background and it would tile. I can't really discribe whats happening but I am trying to place text in the div box and I am using the padding functions to located the top line of the text within the div. But as I add more padding to force the first line of text lower in the div. it seems to be expanding some boundry out the bottom of the div. My CSS if itemboxfloat and the div is also called itemboxfloat. I have included the code for your review.
    Thanks for your help
    Dan

    Thats because you have height 110px set on the 'itemboxfloat' <div>. When you add padding to it, say padding-top: 20px; the divs height becomes 130px. Never set height on a <div> which contains text.

  • Material type for - Diesel

    Hi Friends,
    My Client is Construction Equipment leasing company.
    They lease (Say Generator ) on lease, they also sell Diesel along with that machine.
    For Diesel, which material type we use?? I thought of using (HIBE - Operating Supplies) but it doesnt have Sales View {other option - i can configure copy of HIBE with Sales View} .
    Any other material type we can use for Diesel.
    Regards,
    Jackie

    you can create own material types or change SAP given material types to your local needs.
    if you want sales views for HIBE, then add it.
    if you dont produce Diesel, just buy and sell, then it is usually a trading good HAWA.
