Equipment status to be added.

Hi All,
There is a Serial number profile assigned to the material. Equipment get created due to serial number.
Now we want to add more statuses in the given screen (manual transaction screen). (T code-IE02-Edit-special serial no. functions-manual transaction) .
How to add more status in this screen.

This screen is fixed by SAP and cannot be changed without modifying your system (not recommended):
The orange radio-button are part of Switch DIMP_GENERAL (see SFW1) and I am unsure what they do.
Can anyone please help??
What are you trying to achieve?
Why not use user-statuses?

Hi,
In T-Code IE03 Equipment status is displaying, this status is in which table we can find. ( I mean this status is in which tables storing).
My requirement is Equipment related report is there, this report is displaying now all equipments irrespective of status, enhancement for that report is which equipment status is having Deletiong flag 'DLFL' it should not display in report output.
I have to check the status to incorporate the logic for that, I need the tables where it is storing. In EQUI and EQUZ tables deletion flag field is there but this field is not set which equipment is having deletion flag in IE03 displaying status 'DLFL'.
Please let me know where I can get the status.

1. Goto table EQUI with equipment number. Get OBJNR.
2. Goto table JEST with OBJNR. Get JEST-STAT (may be any records)
3. Goto table TJ02T with ISTAT = JEST-STAT.
You will have all status for particular equipment number.

Update superior equipment status based on sub equipment status

Dear friends,
I have a scenario for calibration process for which there are two equipments .One sub equipment and the other superior equipment. Calibration process is done for sub equipment and I have given usage decision as rejected based on which sub equipment staus gets updated as NPRT(PRT not ready for use). Now the client requirement is as that the superior equipment also get the status NPRT since they are linked through superior/sub equipment relation. Kindly suggest some solutions.

I have observed that if a sub equipment is assigned to a superior equipment ,the equipment status of sub equipment does not get updated when calibration process is run.(NPRT status does not get updated if an equipment is installed to a superior eqpt when usage decision is made for not accepted). So there is no possiblity of updating the superior equipment status. Hence kindly ignore my query.

I have a requirement where I need to display the equipment status/statuses active on a date other than current date. I know that table JCDS stores the value of changed status but there is nothing about the statuses which are active and not changed on that date.
Can anyone please let me know if there is any standard report available in SAP which shows equipment's past equipment statuses or if you can help me in getting the logic to get this.

Equipment status table field...

Hi,
Does anyone know in which table is stored the equipment status field (Display lines for system status ITOBATTR-STTXT ). The field that tells you if the equipment is installed or available or flagged for deletion..

Goto EQUI Get the value from OBJNR based on EQUNR
Now goto Jest table ,use OBJNR and you get many status.
Either you can use JEST Table or FM STATUS_READ
You can see all system status in Transaction BS23

Business Transaction control based on equipment status

I have created status profile for equipment creation . One of the user status is "Created by User" . Now If the user status of the equipment is this , I want to disallow notification creation through iw21 on this equipment .
Please explain in detail how to achieve this through transaction control in status profile (I have already tried object type "maintainence notif " etc in status profile ....but did not find transaction create notification which has to be forbidden .)..
Also please explain how to view transaction code along with business transaction in transaction control screen ..(any alternate way ?)

Business Transaction Control is not Working for Equipment Status.

Hi All,
I have created a Status Profile for Equipment / Functional Location & assigned 5 Status under this Profile i.e. NEW, COM (Commissioning), INS(Inservice), CAM (Care & Maintenance) & DCM (De Commissioned). For Status DCM i have assigned Transaction control FORBIDDEN for "Enter PM processing data , Enter PM planing data & Create Meas. Doc."activities.
It Means, whenever user creates Plant Maintenance Order OR Notification, Maintenance Plan OR Maintenance Item & Measurement Document for any Equipment / FL having this user status (DCM), system should not allow creation of above mentioned object.
In my scenario, system is giving an standard error message " The business transaction cannot be carried out" during creation of "Plant Maintenance Order OR Notification, Maintenance Plan OR Maintenance Item".
But i am able to create measurement document for equipment / FL having user status DCM with Transaction control Forbidden of Measurement document creation. No error message displayed by the system.
Can anybody tell me why its happening? Why system is giving error during order & plan creation but not for Creation of measurement document ?
If this is not posible in standard SAP, does any body knows about any OSS note so that we can implement the same to get an error message.

Please ensure whether both projects have the same budget profile. Other than that you need to carefully investigate how the cost was posted onto both projects in the first place. Please note in case of procurements, budget is only checked at the commitments level (search the forum as this has been discussed before).
In case this does not resolve your issue, revert back with the budget profile settings.

Equipment Status ESTO

Dear Experts,
I want to send one material with serial number (Equipment) to vendor.For that i dismantled from respective location and moved to the store using 561 movement type.(Goods receipt against "other" in MIGO).Now i am sending the same to vendor using the MB11 (Movement type- 541.Stor location- XX01)
That means i am moving the material from my storage location XX01.
After i send, if i check the equipemt status, still its showing the status ESTO.Whether the status describes the material is lying in our warehouse or Vendor's warehouse? But its clearly indicating the vendorcode in the Serial No. tab in IQ02.
So the system must show the relevent status.

541 mvt type is used in subcontracting purpose,it you do the transactive with 541 you can see the status of the material in MMBE T code where it will show material is in vendor premises,when you do the goods receipt the material inventory will reduce.you can check in the equipment master Edit>special serial no functionms>manual transaction you can see the stock type

BEWARE "Copyright Status", "Copyrighted" tag added in Lightroom doesn't show when image is opened in

When meta data is added in Lightroom using the "Copyright Status" tag one would assume that the copyright symbol (©) would be visible in the image title when opened up in it's sister product Photoshop just like when using Bridge to add the same add meta data, well it doesn't.
Those of us who make a living from licensing the rights to use images rely on copyright and notification thereof as an important part of being able to defend our rights. For a company that produces software for the purpose of disseminating such images I am surprised that two of their main products don't speak the same Meta data language. This is a serous bug for me and causes yet another step be taken in the work-flow outside of this otherwise good product.

I'm having issues with the IPTC copyright fields when I export TIFFs from LR2. Specifically, it cuts the word limit to 128 characters, clipping my terms in half.
The 128-character limit is imposed by the IPTC standard:

Note that LR stores the value of the Copyright field of the IPTC metadata panel in three different metadata locations in a file's Exif data:
EXIF:Copyright
XMP:Rights
IPTC:CopyrightNotice
It is only the last that the standards require to be truncated to 128 characters. Newer programs like LR give precedence to the XMP fields if they are present, but older programs still use the legacy EXIF and IPTC fields. In particular, when reading metadata from a file, if XMP:Rights is present, LR will use that for the Copyright value instead of IPTC:CopyrightNotice.
Thus, you can have Copyright values longer than 128 characters in LR, and LR will preserve those values properly in the EXIF and XMP metadata, but the values in the legacy IPTC:CopyrightNotice field must be truncated according to the standard. If possible, adjust your workflow to use the XMP metadata instead.

System Status of newly added project objects for a RELEASED Project.

Hi Experts
During the course of execution of project, we may need to add new activities.
However, as the project is released, the newly added activtity or project object attains REL status.
How to ensure CRTD status for the newly created object so that can ensure subsequent release by Higher Authority.
I think user status may be useful here but i do not know how to set. Please suggest feasible solution.

Release status is PS pass on for PS Objects. So, Create two no. of Level one WBS Element in your PS Structure. One for which you want release that structure you create under that WBS and Second WBS don't Release and use the same leg for your created status structuring.
And do not Release Project Definition, Let it be max. PREL only, Till your structuring process is over.
I think User status cannot help you in this case. ( Because user status reside between the System Status )

Status of child equipment after delivery

Hi All,
I have finished goods equipment and raw material equipment. I have maintained the structure of the FG equipment.
In repair process, i can get the FG equipment as well as the raw material equipment.
When i deliver the FG, the status of the FG equipment changes to "ECUS" but the ststus of the raw material equipment (i.e. child equipment which is maintained in the structure of the FG equipment) does not change. In repair process, when i need to inbound the equipment w.r.t repair order, the status of the equipment should be "ECUS"
Here how can i change the status of the child equipments which are maintained in the structure.

How are you maintaing the Raw material equipment? as Subequipment of the FG? or in Equipment BOM?
Also let me know the status of Raw materal Equip.
If it is subequipment, the Equipment status can be changed by Edit>Spl Serial No. FunctionsManual Transaction-->To Customer .. will change the status to ECUS...

SAP Work Manager customization - adding a new field to equipment details screen (Syclo Agentry)

Hi Experts,
I am trying to add a field (NAME1) on the Equipment details screen under work orders in work manager 5.3 application.
I have performed the following steps, but I am getting an error while connecting to the application.
1) Create extension for Equipment class to add a new field.
2) added the new field (Name1) as the property to the standard object Equipment.
3) Added the field on the screen.
4) Added the field (name1) to the complex table ctEquipment.
5) Added the JAR file to Agentry.ini file.
6) Changed the Class mapping for parameter "Equipment" under group "SAPOBJECT" to point it to the custom (Extended) class.
7) Changed the class mapping for complex table parameter "ctEquipment" under group "CT_SAPOBJECT" to point it to the custom class.
8) after publishing the changes and re-starting the server, I get following error.
the log file generated (message.log) also has the same description.
What am I missing here? Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks for looking into this issue.
I have performed the following steps as suggested by you, still it doesn't seem to work and gives the same error.
Below are the changes done on the ECC Side.
1) Copied the standard equipment class /SYCLO_CL_PM_EQUIPMENT1_DO to custom class ZSYCLO_CL_PM_EQUIPMENT1_DO. Changes made in the GET Method to get custom equipment related data
2) Modified the standard equipment structure /SYCLO/PM_EQUI_STR by adding one custom field
3) Configured this custom class as the object handler in the equipment mobile data object
4) Configured this custom class as the object handler for the equipment complex table
5) We are still using the standard BAPI Wrapper itself for getting the equipment data and the added field is reflected in the BAPI Wrapper table parameter
Is there something we are missing?

Issue in Adding Custom Status Defnition for a resource object

Hi,
We have installed OIM and patch it to 9.102. We have created one custom resource object (flat file connector) for reconciliation. As part of requirement we need to define three status for this resource object - Enabled, Suspended and Disabled. As Enabled and Disabled status are available OOTB, i have added 'Suspended' status under the Status Definition in resource object. Now the issue is that if we are passing reconcile user status to either Enabled or Disabled, the status is changing fine on Linked user resource object. But if the status passed as 'Suspended' the resource account status of linked user (OIM) is not changed.
We have mapped the resource side Status attribute to OIM_OBJECT_STATUS under process definition. I also made the entry 'Suspended' in 'Lookup.Object Object Status' lookup to see if any help, but no luck.
The 'Suspended' status is successfully added in OST table against the object key and on manually updating the status key against the resource object it is reflecting 'Suspended' status through admin console. User-->Resource Profile
Does anyone have any clue if the requirement is correct (adding a custom object status) and so, where i am going wrong. Thanks in advance.

A quick doubt..If i have written down a process task and calling this on completion of 'Reconciliation Update Received' and in this process task , a adapter is attached which is updating the resource account status (ost_status) on the basis of some custom attributes. This task is working fine and updating the status. But the issue is that once this task is complete, the mapping in Process definition (loginDisabled <MetaDirectory> --> OIM_OBJECT_STATUS) overrides the status.
Per my understanding the flow is going like this-->
1. Reconciliation run
2. Event Linked
3. Reconciliation Update Received
4. Call The custom Task --> Update the OST Status
5. Update the OST Status per the mapping OIM_OBJECT_STATUS.
Is there any way we can implement that the status update in (5) occurs before (4) so that my custom task status can override the (5) as per my business requirement.
