I recently switched from PC to Mac and am able to find and transfer most of the larger files of music to iTunes, but there are about 750 songs that are held in sub-files that require me to dig in and transfer them one by one to iTunes.. I've tried transferring the parent folders, but it doesn't seem to work.  Does anyone know of a more efficient way of getting iTunes to dig into the subfolders and transfer the music without me having to go one by one?

  • What equipment is required to calibrate PXI cards.

I need to know what all is required, hardware and software wise, for me to calibrate the following NI items in my cal lab:
    PXI-1045, PXI-6508, PXI-6552, PXI-8331, and PXI 6251.
What I have now is an old version 2.0 of Calibration Executive and the software that came with these cards (NI-488.2, GPIB-VXI/C Legacy Documentation and NI-VISA Libraries Version 3.0). My software guy also has the NI Developer Suite from 2003. In the lab we have calibrators (5700,5720,4708,9500) and meters (34401,3458,1281,8508) and scopes (TDS) and PC controllers running XP with NI PCI-GPIB cards.
I realize I will need to get an upgrade for the Cal Exec, I need to know what all else is required to decide if it is going to be justifiable to gear up for this capability. Any information, including prices, is appreciated.

    Hi Poornima -
The SCXI chassis and equipment are used to condition signals sent to and from the DUT.  After being conditioned, the signals are sent to your DAQ device to be digitized and read into the computer.  As such, the SCXI chassis only needs to be cabled to the DAQ device.  You can do this using a shielded E-series cable (SH68-68-EP) and an adapter block (SCXI-1349).  These will connect the leftmost device in your SCXI chassis to your DAQ card, which must reside in the rightmost slot of your PXI chassis.  There is detailed information about SCXI connections in the "SCXI Quick Start Guide", which can be found in the Start Menu documentation for DAQ.
The GPIB connections will be made in your PXI chassis.  Either the embedded controller of the chassis or a PXI-GPIB card will have the port connections needed.
There are also detailed text instructions for making the connections in the "Calibration Executive Help" file, which you can find in the program's Start menu group.  Inside this file, browse the tree to "Device Calibration Procedures » Modular Instruments » High-Speed Digital".  The instructions given here explain step-by-step how to connect your equipment for both scenarios (combo chassis and separate SCXI chassis).

  • Without equipment creation serial number required at the time of delivery?

    Dear SAPIENTS,
Without equipment creation serial number required at the time of delivery? In customizing i have defined that equipment not required in serialization profile. But still i am getting equipemnt number at the time of delivery of sales order.
    Regards,
    Kaushal Rai

    Dear Venu,
You want to generate Alphanumeric Serial Number that is possible by following Enhancement for Serial Numbers:
Pls find here some details about generating alphanumeric serial numbers as below :
You can generate alphanumeric serial number with the following BADI / Customer Exit:
    Name of Enhancement : IQSM0001
Name of Function Module Exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
    Name of Include : ZXQSMU01
    ZXQSMU01:
This user exit can be used to create the serial numbers automatically for material of a production order. Number of serial numbers generated will be equal to the total number of quantity. The purpose behind development of this user exit was to attach prefix in each serial number generated.
so as per your requirement you can generate serial number like ABC0001 etc.
    Process Steps:
    For exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
    1. Get serial number profile for a material in respective plant.
    2. Check if the profile is u2018XYZu2019.
    3. If profile is u2018XYZu2019 generate the serial numbers for the given quantity of material in production order.
    General Program Structure
    For exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
    1. Get the serial number profile using function module 'MARC_SINGLE_READ' for a material.
    2. Check if the profile is u2018XYZu2019.
    3. If the serial number profile is u2018XYZu2019 then generate the serial numbers for the given production order quantity of a material.
    4. Concatenate ABC as a prefix to the all generated serial numbers
Provide above details reg. implementation BADI / Enhancement to your ABAPer and go ahead.
You can implement above Enhancement in CMOD.
    Hope this helps.
Revert in case of any doubt.
    Award points if useful.

    Rachin,
Run SHD0. Give IW81 in field  Transaction Code. Keep cursor in field  Transaction Variant and press F4.
You will get values if some work was done on this Tcode here. Here the value we got is ZIW81
(In case you do not get any values you need not proceed further)
Now take this value and Continue. You will get Screen Variants list in the Transaction Variant Tab.
A Transaction variant is a group of several screen variants. (Initial screen, and various tabs etc)
You see in this case several screen-variants are seen. Our screen is initial screen i.e., 0106.
Now Go to Screen Variants Tab and give this value. i.e., ZIW81_0106 and click on Display.
This screen will be in front of you. Here for your case, the check-boxes against the fields Equipment and Serial number in the Column Invisible  should be tick-marked like shown below.
I did not work much on SHD0, If you are interested, refer to this document How to Create a Transaction Variant.
However, if you do not find anything in SHD0 for this post, continue in other angles.

  • Alphnumeric External Number range for Equipment category

    Hi,
Is there any other option that I can restrict length of external alpha numeric number range except that exit IEQM0003? This exit only applicable or restrict when you save the equipment.
Requirement is like external number range should be like AAA-000 to ZZZ-999. System must not allowed any other equipment number which is out of this range. ( must be 7 character)
As far as my understanding , system use string comparison once you use alphanumeric number range and you can create equipment with 18 char length except special character if above range is maintained.
Please correct me if i am wrong and suggest.
    Thanks
    Anish Ahya

    Hi Zenith,
Its not available in Standard SAP, please use the user exit and tell the ABAPER to check the Equipment numbering (count) before entering into Creation screen. In IE01,entering equipment Number, Category and date after completion of this activity when we enter continue icon there u can put a condition to check the length of equipment number. I implemented that user exit and i got the result. its working fine. User Exit: IEQM0003.

  • Does a sub-vi require controls?

I've been writing LabVIEW programs for a couple of years but my programs are unwieldy because I never did understand the concept of sub-vi's I know they are supposed to be sub-routines but the places I need them in programs don't have controls or indicators. It is my understanding that sub-vi's require these, at least that's what the books say. Maybe a sub-vi isn't what I'm looking for. Is there a way in LabVIEW to save part of a program that doesn't have controls and indicators and use it over and over in other parts of the program. For example, I am now sampling 28 channels from 2 NI-4351 cards. 28 icons on the diagram take up a lot of space. Is there a way to reduce these to less icons since the all perform the same function?
    Bob

    New to This,
LabVIEW for Everyone is probably worth the money. But it isn't
expensive. The current Course Kits are much better. At $300 a pop
they should be. With the new Course Kits for Basics I and II and
maybe the Advanced Course you could learn the "correct methods." (I
haven't found the DAQ class material to be all that great. And the
signal conditioning info that I do use is available elsewhere. Maybe
if they updated it the quality of the Basics Course Kit...)
Even though the NI run classes would be much better than the bootleg
class you took, you are probably too far along to really get much out
of them. (I just took the classes in December and am functioning
    pretty well now a
fter some excellent help line help; taking the
classes would be useless to me now.)
You have a DAQ board, I presume. The other ingredient would be a
Signal Accessory. If you studiously work your way through the course
kits with the signal accessory you will be back on track. I have come
to appreciate the Signal Accessory. It is a good tool for working out
a VI without actually having the hardware all set up. Notice that the
help line folks all have one and use it constantly.
    Good luck,

  • Passing a large 3D-array to a sub vi and back causes huge loss of performance

I am passing a large 3D-Array of type I16 to a sub-vi node of same type, and back to the main VI. For test purposes I have removed all processing in between. Still, the sub-vi call requires many ms to s, depending on array size. I was under the impression that variables are passed to sub-VIs by reference. Is this incorrect? can it be fixed?
    Johannes

    Hi Johannes,
(There may be exceptions but) No, variables are not passed and returned by reference.
"A fix" may be possible by restructuring your app such that the large 3d array never gets moved around. This can be done by using what I call an action engine. It uses a variation of the LV2 global to store the large array ONE TIME in a shift register. After that, all other operations are performed "in-place".
This technique has allowed me to process very large data sets "on-the-fly".

  • Inability to run VIs in more than one sub panel

    Hello,
I have a VI that contains a tab control with 8 tabs. Under each tab, I have placed a sub panel. I need to a separate VI in each sub panel simultaneously.
Using Open VI reference function and without any options,I have Invoked Nodes to Run VI and then insert respective VIs in unique sub panels.
Apart from a single VI running under a single tab, I am unable to see any of the other VIs running in all other tabs. Error Indicator shows No Error.
Could someone please tell me how to run multiple VIs, each in a unique sub panel, but under the same tab control?
I failed to execute a separate VI under a sub-panel that was even placed OUTSIDE the tab control...
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Freelance_LV,
    Thanks for your response.
Please find the snapshots of the Front Panel and corresponding Block Diagram of the sample code I intended to use (in Labview 12).
As you said, I too, was able to switch (insert-remove-re-insert) VIs to execute from a single sub-panel when required.
However, in this instance, I need to run 8 different VIs in 8 sub-panels simultaneously. Its so that my customer can look at different VIs for different tab selections at any point of time, and at the same time. Sadly, only 1 sub-panel VI seems to be running while the others arent, even though the logic for opening-running-inserting VIs for all sub-panels are the same...

  • Enable/disable sub screnn

    Hi All,
I am new in ABAP HR. I developed one infotye and it is related to tcode PA30 and PB30.
In my screen one CALL SUBSCREEN SUBSCREEN_HEADER INCLUDING HEADER_PROG HEADER_DYNNR
is there.I want when user click on tcode PA30 then it should be enable and when user click PB30 then
the above subscreen should be disable.we can not write if/endif condition in pbo.
    Please give me solution.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh

Create separate sub-screen as required by the individual Tcodes.
Than in the CALL SUBSCREEN <SUBSCREEN_HEADER> ...statement change the screen number in the variable <SUBSCREEN_HEADER> at run time .
If you don't want to display anything in the screen than create a blank subscreen.

  • Depot Repair Order Flexibility after SO created

    Hi everyone,
I have a client who's looking into using the Depot Repair functionality to handle all returns.  What we're finding so far is that everything works well so long as you know what you're going to do with the material before you create the service notification.  We need to be able to receive the material back in before we decide if we're going to repair it, replace it, or just credit the customer.  The Notification type creates and drives the SO processing.  W/in the SO, the item categories seem to be driving the returns subline, the repair subline, and the outboud delivery subline.  I thought perhaps we could change the item cateogories in order to control subsequent processing (ie, before the return is actually processed in VL01n, update the item category on the return to reflect an item category for return for replacement vs return for repair, etc. but the item categories are protected in the SO.
Does anybody have a better way of being able to provide the flexibility of determining the type of processing after the Service notification has been created?  If not, does anybody know how to "unprotect" the item category fields so we can update them manually?
    thanks for the assistance,
    Christie
Edited by: Christie Monacos on Aug 4, 2010 3:53 AM

    Hello Christie
I am not a CS specialist, but my current  role affords me the opportunity to provide some thoughts. Here the repair process has been automated to 2 distinct stages: a) Receipt and b) Inspection and repair,  to  create multiple documents  and even objects ( Equipment if required) from Service, Sales, Logistics, and Inventory Management perspectives.
    1) For one you can divide the service notifications into 2 types: a) Customer facing, and b) Internal (fault) Notification.
    2) When you receive you can have 3 types of dispositions: a) Review receipt, b) Return for Repair and c) Exchange at Receipt. If all information is available, in case of the last  2 dispositions, the following documents are created:
    a) Equipment if serialized
    b) Customer facing notification
    c) repair order
    d Inbound delivery
    e) Material  document for movement into stock
    f)  service order/s
    g) Internal Fault Service notification
    3) The first one, Review receipt is used when there is not enough information to create a Repair order. At that time the documents created are: a) Customer facing notification, b) Equipment u2013 if serialized, c) Goods receipt material document.  A task is added automatically to the notification for administration action and/or follow up with the customer.Once all info is available, the remaining documents are created using the reference of  Customer facing notification.
    4) Thus the repair order created will have requisite sub-lines, e.g. Return, Exchange, Repair etc.
So I believe you need to follow the business  process as it happens in SAP.
Hope this helps. Let me know.
    4)
    4) Once information becomes available, all other documents created.

  • How to use Terminal with KeySpan USB serial adaptor cable?

I own a KeySpan model USA-19HS to use with our MacBookPro when working on clients networking equipment that require serial communication. I have used ZTerm with excellent luck, but it costs, and is yet another application that I dont really want. I would like to know if any one out there has exacing instructions on how to use Terminal with this adaptor. If I could write a file that had, say, the couple most common settings (9600-8-n-1, 57600-8-n-1, et cetera) that I could simply click on, to open a new Terminal window with those settings, then simply close that, and open a new window (apple+n) in order to get back to a default settings terminal window. All feedback is most appreciated.
    Thanks so much, Jason Sjobeck

Hi, Jason. Welcome to the Discussions.
You wrote: "All feedback is most appreciated."OK.
    1. Have you considered discussing this with Keyspan Support?
    2. Have you read the section "OSX has Terminal.app - why do I need ZTerm?" on the ZTerm Home Page? That seems to explain why one needs an app like ZTerm.
    3. A quick search of Keyspan's FAQ for your product and terminal doesn't yield much more than how to find the serial ports using Terminal.
Likewise, this Google search also yields little, and variants of that search of such weren't particularly help either.
It appears your inquiry seems to be a somewhat esoteric topic.
    4. Apparently, ZTerm X is a bit long in the tooth and there's no Universal Binary for it. It sounds, however, like you've tried it running on your MBP under Rosetta, yes?
    5. In researching alternatives to ZTerm for you, I note the followng:• The comment from "Reverb" on this page suggests C-Kermit or Kermit as a free alternative.
    • This tip on Mac OS X Hints cites Minicom as another option.6. You may want to try your question on the Unix Discussion.
