Equipment View Profiles????

Dear All,
I have a question about the equipment views profiles
After creating eq. category X there was four standard views BUT after creating the view profile and assign it eq. category only the views in this profile appear and the other four is not appear ??????
As i know the profiles is created to add new tabs/screens why the standard ones is not appear and what is the solution.

What are the four standard view that doesn't appear. Even if yuo do not assign the view profile to the equipment category ,system will display some standard view while creating equipment master like General data.Location etc.if you assign the view profile to the equipment category then it will overrite the standard one .hence whatever the tabs mentioned in the View profile will only get displayed

Hi,
You will have to assign the view profiles to equipment categories.
Goto SPRO>PM&CS>Master data in PM & CS>Technical Objects>Equipment categories-->Maintain Equipment category and Execute ,Then Assign the profile Standard to the Equipment Categories.
After doing these settings, when u create equipment with that category then it displays the sub screen.

Yes, you can do it in events of a view cluster, define a subroutine and bounding it to event(02) in SE54,
when you define the subroutine, it will ask you creat a mian program, in this main program, you need 'INCLUDE lsvcmcod'.
Then you can access some standard data, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/62/c302c7de8e11d1a5960000e82deaaa/frameset.htm
INCLUDE lsvcmcod.
FORM yourSubroutineName.
DATA: viewname TYPE vclstruc-object,
        error_flag TYPE vcl_flag_type,

* PERFORM vcl_set_table_access_for_obj USING    viewname
*                                       CHANGING error_flag.
----> according your condition to change the view.
IF xxx = yyy.
DELETE vcl_struc_tab WHERE object = viewname.

Bulk activation of Equipment View in serial numbers

Hi Experts,
Our client has erroneously created material-serial numbers which needs to be active the equipment view. There are around 2000+ details to be changed and a bulk change option is required to active "Equipment View".
I have tried to create a LSMW but ended unsuccessfully.
Appreciate you valuable guidance to find a solution

We have set mandatory the "Location" field for equipment. There for when i execute the LSMW, following appeared

Basic Order View - Define View Profiles

In ECC 6.0, we have an option to customize the work order screen as per the busiess needs in the configuration path:
Plant Maintenance and CS -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Functions and Settings for Order Types -> Basic Order View -> Define View Profiles
Question -> Is there a view profile defined by SAP for standard SAP work order screen?
We have a requirement to modify the standard SAP work order screen where we have to add additional tabs. Since there is no profile defined for standard SAP work order screen, we have to build from the scratch which takes a lot of time.
Any suggestions?

Thanks SN. Yes, I am aware of the user exit and also that we can configure the screens of work order in ECC 6.0 using SPRO but the only problem is that we have to build it from scratch. My question was to know if SAP had standard screen templates or profiles like they have for Notiification. Anyways thanks for your response, I got the below response from SAP for my question.

KDE Device Notifier command for specific Konqueror View Profile?

I added a custom action in KDE device notifier widget for optical devices to be opened with Konqueror. However, is it possible to modify that command so that Konqueror opens with a specific view profile?

However, one tiny problem still persists: When I execute konqueror --profile <profile_name> %f, a Konqueror window split into four opens, one showing the optical device but the other three are void. My view profile indeed splits the window into 4 sub-windows, but what I'm trying to do is basically view the optical device in one sub-window while the others show two certain websites and one samba shared folder.
I know it sounds weird, but is it at least possible?

HP UX 11.0 Xsession client set up on a Tarantella 3.4 SUN Unix Server. In
Xsession users can open application (Alcatel 1353sh) which is based off of
HPOV NNM B.05.01. However, any attempt within the application to open and
"equipment view" for any element fails. This process used to work on
Tarantella 3.3 SUN Unix Servers. The equipment view is executed by right
clicking on an element and selecting "Show Equipment". Would be curious
if anyone utilizing HPOV NNM has seen a similar problem? Can't figure out
if this is font translation related or Java related?

Previously, we had utilized the 3 button mouse option under "Advanced" to
resolve this problem (with mixed results - it initially fixed it but
later, the problem would resurface). So the 3 button mouse box is already
selected for this xsession application. For some reason it still does not
work. I'm possibly suspecting a java issue (java1 or 2 issue?) or a font
issue. I'm not really sure.
We have other Java based applications running on user PC's.

View profile different?

Two questions. First, when I click "view profile" of an account (say A) from my account, and when my friend clicks "view profile" of the same account (account A) from his account, the profile shows differently. One shows gender/language (in addition to city and skype account name), and the other shows nothing but city and skype account name (no gender, no language). Why? Second, when I hover on an account name, there is no last activity, and no last seen on an account. What does that mean? How to make it happen on my account so that when someone hovers mouse on my skype name on his account, it shows no last seen, no last activity? I am asking this because when I block someone, that someone can still see my "last seen", and my "last activity" from his account when he hovers mouse on my skype name. So, blocking does not make your account "last seen", and "last activity" disappear? There is no "remove" option for someone who sent me "request to add to contact", but I did not approve and did not add to my contact (so I have only block option), right? Thanks!

More profile information is shown if users have shared contact details with each other, e.g. after a user has sent a request and the other accepted it.
Also the "Last seen.." and "Last activity..." information is client specific, e.g. you might see different information when checking this in the morning on your work laptop compared to in the evening on your home computer. That's because this information is about when this contact was last seen from that Skype instance, not in the Skype network in general.

Sorry for intervention. I have just tried "test"-ing the FM PFL_MODIFY_PARAMETER. When you test(F8) it, in the following screen you will have "import parameters" and "Tables" sections.
In the tables section you have PAR_VALUE_TAB, PAR_COMMENT_TAB, PAR_TAB.You can double click on the PAR_VALUE_TAB and in the next screen it will ask Profile name and the parameter you want to change.
Hope this is what you're looking for.

Cannot view Profile Manager Portal

I can use some help here. Clean install of 10.7 Loin + Server app. Everything went fine. The server (Mac Mini) is configured as an OD Master with these services running - Address book, iCal, File Sharing, Mail, VPN, Web and Profile Manager. DNS checks out fine using the changeip commeand -
The names match. There is nothing to change.
dirserv:success = "success"
When I'm in Profile Manager and I click on "Visit user portal" I get Safari can't connect... I've downloaded and setup Apple's Push SSL's and configured a self signed SSL. Everything looks like its in their correct place. I confirmed the Mini is online by surfing the www. When I go into the web server module and click "View Server Web Site" I get the same message.
All other services seem to be working fine except for Web and Profile Manager. I'm attaching three screen shots - 1) Safari 2) Console All Messages 3) Web Server Error Log. Any ideas on what's going on? Any help would be appreciated.

I used this.
Try this in Terminal.app:
cd /etc/apache2/sites
sudo -s # become admin--you will have to enter your password here
rm 0000_any_443_.conf
cp 0000_any_80_.conf.default 0000_any_80_.conf
cp virtual_host_global.conf.default virtual_host_global.conf
exit # go back to being a normal user
Then go back to Server.app and restart your services.

Login to view profile

? Why do we now have to login to view a member profile, never needed this before the new forum software update is this a step backward.
I think the old format was much better.

As far as login it would be possible to create a "sub" site that could be passworded and linked to.
That would have to be done for each client though if they need to be segregated.
The only option in Iweb I'm aware of that would allow someone to directly upload a photo would be to a web gallery that could be within the "sub" site.
Web galleries can also be passworded.
Don't know of any other direct possibilities.
Perhaps someone else does.

Guest permissions to view profile photos

I created a landing page which points to a forum. I have granted guests the ability to only read the landing page (which shows posts and replys in the forum). The problem I am having is that while the text of posts and replies is visible to a guest, the photo of the poster will not appear. It only shows up if the user is logged in and viewing the landing page. Guest has been granted read access to the user workspace of the posters but still cannot view the photos. Any help would be appreciated..

Viewing Profile Pictures with New Blackberry Messenger

Hi,
My friends and I have upgraded to the new software BBM v5.0 AND added our photos on the same day as we downloaded the new BBM. In the beginning, non of us was able to see the other's profile pic, then a few days later we were able to see the pictures of some of our contacts and others we couldnt (I'm still talking about the same people who upgraded and added their photos).
Is everyone facing the same problem with the new BBM or is it just people living in Saudi Arabia?

I had the same issue with a couple of US-based friends, and deleting that contact from my BBM list, and re-adding them solved it.

With Facebook on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see the [[site identity button]] article) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see [[Images or animations do not show]].
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.

Fleet equipment Subequipment

Hi experts,
Can you please tell me if i am creating the sub equipment for the truck which view profile i have to assign to that equipment.
Suppose i am creating truck's engine or Motor as an equipment should i provide the vie profile of FLEET or general equipment view profile.And also suggest me against which category i have to create should i create with only FLEET or engine with M category & Motor with E category.

My only concern is that should i use the view profile of general equipment or Fleet while creating the subequipment for Fleet.
For e.g. if i am creating the engine of the Truck with general view profile insteed of fleet view profile is it create any problem.
Please share your experience to achieve the best.The thing is that in both the view profile it will have different screen so suggest me the standard practice which will improve the master data.
