Equiuim L300 - Will not turn on, seem to be no power

Hello,
The laptop will not turn on and it seems to be no power going to the laptop at all. I belive that the power supply has come lose as when the charger is put into the port and pulled out their is a fair amount of movement. Is this and easy fix or shall i leave it to the professionals?

Im no way shape or form any good at computers but am willing to give this a try so would you recomend trying it or just not even risking it? I was just going to use the youtube to try and guide me though. The reason im so up for trying to fix it myself is due to the laptop not being mine. It was leant to me to use in a remote part of france to keep me sane so i want to fix it before i head back so i pretty much dont get my arsed kicked

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Will not turn on unless plugged in to power cord

So I have had my Macbook Pro for about 9 months now. Just today, I unplugged my laptop and it immediately turned off. I tried turning it on; I could hear the optical drive spinning up for a moment, and then the computer would suddenly turn off again.
The battery appears to be fine (I checked the charge indicator on the bottom, and it is fully charged), and my power cord seems to be ok as well.
    Any help?

My MacBook Pro is just 4 months old and suddenly it would not operate without power adapter attached. Reset PMU and PRAM to no avail. Repaired permissions and did an fsck in single user mode, again to no avail. Even tried booting in 10.4.10 on external drive which was fine, except laptop would still not work with out being plugged in.
Called Apple. They asked if I had a colleague with a 15" MacBook Pro from whom I might "borrow" their battery from. Luckily, I did! I replaced my battery with hers and bingo! Laptop worked without using power adapter.
Apple is sending new replacement battery.
Another co-worker had the same thing happen to his MacBook Pro this afternoon and his laptop and mine were purchased in the same week.
Wonder if there is another batch of defective batteries springing up.

  • L300 wil not turn on

My Toshiba L300 will not turn on. I have the green lights showing but no noise , cd does not open and no response when I try to power up.
    Anyone have this issue. Thanks

unplug the AC Adaptor from the laptop, remove the battery, then press the power button down and hold it down for 30 seconds.  Now replace the battery and see if it powers up.  If it doesn't repeat the process but this time only plug the AC Adapter back in without the battery and try it.  If it still doesn't power up, repeat the process but with both the battery and AC plugged in when you power it up.

  • HP Officejet Pro K5400 will not turn on.

The HP OP K5400 printer was operating for about 3 months. Recently the printer will not turn on. The power cord assembly was checked via meter and green power light while unplugged from printer. The power cord assembly is good. When the power cord is plugged up to the printer the green light is on for about one second then the light goes out. While the power assembly is plugged up to the printer the printer will not turn on via the printer's power button. Can someone provide guidance or a solution.

    Hi,
First remove and re-0attach the duplex accessory at the bak of the printer to enure it is well seated:
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00845167/
Next ensure the duplex unit is set as installed within the print driver by entering the  Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
    Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.
Now try printing on both sides and check for any difference.

  • Labtop will not turn on

My labtop will not turn on when I hit the power button. I have plugged it in and it still will not turn on. When it is plugged in the lightes turn on so I assume it is not dead. The last thing I did with it was going to staples to get a free tuneup. I brought it home and it turned on fine. Then about two weeks later I tried turning it on and it i get no response. I'm not sure if my labtop is shot or if the power button is broken. please help

Other than the charging port light, do any other lights come on when you press the power button?
    What is the product number?

  • Satellite L300 will not power on - no light on after power plugged in

    Hi,
I have a problem L300 will not start, after you plug in the power cable non of the lights comes on. tried with and without battery,
Swapped the cable inside laptop that goes from the plug to motherboard with other L series laptop and makes no difference, Motherboard doesn't look burned or anything like that.
Just didn't switched on one day. Any ideas??
    Cheers

    Hey,
Sounds like a serious hardware malfunction Probably the mainboard needs replacing. I mean it cant be the charger if you have already tried two different chargers with and without battery so it must be the mainboard or another hardware part.
If you get in contact with an authorized service provider the guys can make an exact diagnostic what part is defective and if you want to replace it or not. Mainboards are very expensive
So just get in contact with the local ASP and ask for help. :)

    Hi there,
Firstly, try a hard reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
If this doesn't work, try restoring your device. Put it in recovery mode if iTunes doesn't recognise it, and restore it from there. I have linked to instructions below.

Let me know if this helps,

Sammyhunter lets get you back in action! Has there been any physical/water damage to the device? Try pressing and holding the home and power button together. Once the Apple symbol appears release both buttons. Keep us posted!

It is important when replacing discharged batteries in the Apple Wireless Keyboard to make sure the new batteries are oriented correctly. See this article for directions -

  • Macbook Pro retina will not turn on

I bought a 2012 Macbook Pro Retina 13" off Craigslist today.  It will not turn on.  I tried resetting the SMC and disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it.  It will still not turn on, the battery has been charging for 2 hours already and it's still amber on the magsafe.  It still has warranty coverage until 2014 so my next stop is the apple store.  I thought I could fix it myself but it is pretty tough to narrow down the cause.

I tried those already, did not work.
I did how ever remove the command key and wiped it down and it turns on perfectly!
but now the keyboard keys seem to be out of place or something. For example it makes a "ping" sound when i hit some of them, when i hit function or control it puts the letter Z.
    Any input would be great!
