I am using an Equium A300d-13x toshiba laptop and the led media control touch panel suddenly stoped working
What shuld i do?

Did you install some 3rd party tools like Virtual Machine or Virtual PC or similar?
Such tools affect the multimedia buttons and could disable the functionality!
Otherwise there is something wrong with the operating system.
Possibly some registry keys or files are wrong, damage, etc
You could try to clean the OS using CCLeaner before you would install the VAP again.
This should be tried out.

Hello,
after shutting down my laptop, one week ago, the media buttons suddenly stopped working.
The weird thing is that they are flashing all the time, even when the laptop is off.
I downloaded the VAP from toshiba website (although the version was a 2009 one, if there is a new one for my laptop please let me know. Maybe I can use a VAP of a similar model.
My system is Windows 7
the other weird thing is that I disabled the illumination option from the F2 setup but the media buttons are still on.
I also tried to take the battery off, etc but nothing
any ideas?

The VAP is an Toshiba software and as far as I know you can use the other version of VAP which was released for other notebook series.
For example you could use the VAP released for Satellite P500, P750 series or higher.
But Im wondering why the buttons led is still ON even if the Illumination is disabled in BIOS.

This was also my idea disconnect AC adaptor, remove battery, press and hold power button 30sec long.
Then connect the AC adaptor and check the Multimedia button functionality.

Try backing it up in iTunes, then restoring software. Back up first, though.

I just recently bought the Iphone 5. Its only been a couple of months and my lock button suddenly stopped working. My Iphone 5 isnt the only one that has done this, I know many other people whose phones have done the same thing. Does anyone know why they are doing this?

I installed windows 7 to my Toshiba satellite a300 1gn, Short Model No: psagce and some illuminated media buttons don't work.
i have the latest drivest but still nothing. first button is should controll the illumination for media buttons, touch pad and Satellite logo.
second button should open media player or something like that. the other fore buttons work fine!
Could someone helt me solve my problem?

You have to configure the single buttons.
This Toshiba button support pop up will appear if the pressed button was not configured.
So press the button and then assign the action, application.
You have to expand this menu pressing on the small arrow on the right.

Equium A300D-13x stucks on installation screen

I recently sent my laptop (Equium A300D-13x) back to Toshiba to be repaired as it was overheating and cutting out.
It came back today and when I turned it on I got the screen where I was asked if I wanted to go into safe mode or start Windows normally.
Then it goes to a screen where it says, *Finishing the installation may take several minutes.
Please do not interrupt or shutdown the computer!*
I've been waiting all day now and I'm still stuck on this screen.
Has anyone had the same problem? And if so, how can I fix it?

Ive recovered my notebook many times and the installation went always troublefree.
But of course such installation issue could happen always and I think you should simply repeat this procedure.
If you dont have Toshiba Recovery disk then try to recover the notebook using the HDD recovery option.
Just press F8 while notebook powering up.
Then choose Repair my computer. Then a new window will appear and you could select the new option called Toshiba HDD.

Equium A300D-13X: Cannot open Amyuni Document Converter 2.10

I have a Toshiba Equium A300D-13X on which I've installed Family Tree programme.
When I open the programme it tells me it cannot open Amyuni Document Converter 2.10 Kernel Mode Print Driver.
Does that mean I have to buy that PDF programme or is there something else I can use.

First of all this issue has nothing do with your notebook but with an 3rd party application which you have installed on the A300D notebook.
So Im wonder why you post this here in the Toshiba forum
Anyway Ive googled a little bit for details about Amyuni PDF Converter and found out that this is a tool which converts every windows document into the PDF format.
In you case I would recommend searching in the web for this application and to download and to install the print driver which belongs to this Amyuni PDF Converter software.

Satellite P305-S8832 - Media buttons don't work with Win7

Hello Wise Friends,
Recently I installed two brand new hard drives (500GB 7200 rpm OS/ 500GB 5400 rpm DATA) and I did a clean installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bits on my 3 1/2 Toshiba Satellite P305-S8832. Everything but the media buttons is working pretty well.
I downloaded the drivers from the Toshiba repository including the Toshiba Software installer for Windows 7 and the toshiba valued package. Still those tactile buttons which are above the keyboard and between the speakers does not work, no light, no response, nothing. I have checked the bios.
These buttons work out of the box with Ubuntu Linux, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Any advice?

Generally speaking, the Multimedia buttons are controlled by VAP (value added package) and the buttons should work after the installation of VAP.
Found the drivers here:

It seems that there is also a newer version of VAP available.
Check other newer Sat P series in order to get latest VAP version.
Furthermore install the Hardware Setup. This tool lets you customize your hardware settings

How to reinstall the software of the multimedia buttons at the right side of the laptop in Windows Vista? becuase when I install windows vista the buttons doesn't work anymore.. multimdia buttons: the WMPlayer, play/pause, stop, next and previous buttons... a nyonw got a software or got the same problem?

I have checked Vista download page and your notebook A110 (PSAB2) is not listed there. Usually you need Toshiba controls but with Vista this tool is not available separately. I presume it is a part of Value Added Package.

Appstore suddenly stoped working ONLY over wifi network in which worked before

I have an Ipad 3rd generation woth iOS6 which worked just fine untill today. Appstore suddenly stopped working over Wifi network (my home network). Untill yesterday it wokked just fine over the same Wifi. Anyway, Appstore still works over 3G thought.
I tryed to restart the modem, restarted the iPad ... it didnt work.

Buttons suddenly stopped working

Yesterday I noticed that my center button was acting up, I had to start pushing it in a certain way to get it to register. Earlier today, I was listening to a song and suddenly, none of the buttons would work at all. I can still scroll with the wheel but the center button, play/pause, menu button, etc. all do absolutely nothing now, so I can't really do anything with the iPod. How can I resolve this? Is it purely an issue with the internal hardware? I didn't believe it was because they were just working perfectly moments before and then suddenly transitioned to being completely non-functional.

EXACT same thing happened with me today, coming home on the bus all my buttons stopped working except the scroll. I could change the volume that was about it and i also have a 80GB classic ipod, guess i'll have to take it to the apple store since its not been resolved!

List Buttons Suddenly Stopped Working

Hi all,
I built an admin section for a website I did using nextensio lists and forms. Suddenly the edit and delete buttons on the lists dont work anymore. I did see the php fix on this website and uploaded the updated files, but it didnt work. What is interesting is if I removed the class from the edit link and replace it with KT_link, then the edit button works! I deleted all of my includes files and then generated them again and uploaded, but nothing besides removing the class on the button has worked.
Anyone have any ideas?

Those classes for the buttons are required by ADDT so they should not be removed.
