Equium does not book up - used wrong Recovery Disk
I have a Toshiba Equium and also a Satellite Pro, the Satellite Pro needed wiping but I used the Equium Recory disc, it now won't boot properly, no network adaptors are working correctly as well as the video adaptor and the graphics.
I have no disc for the Satellite Pro and because I've wiped the drive with the wrong recovery disc, can't create one.
Any ideas?

I assume your notebook can boot the OS properly but the drivers dont functions because the hardware is different.
In such case you can solve this easily installing right drivers!
Visit the Toshiba European driver page and download the necessary drivers for your notebook series.

I have a Toshiba Satellite c655 with WIndows 7 64 bit Home premium. The hard drive died on it, so I purchased a new hard drive and purchased the appropriate Recovery media from Toshiba. I would like to use my work exchange email on my macbook pro. But I cannot install it. I have no problem my work email on my iPhone or iPad. My work IT person does not know what is wrong. Why I try to set up the email I get the message that it cannot connect to this server.
Try going into System Prefereces then Mail, Cintacts & Calendars then click on the Microsoft Exchange link on the right. Type in your email address and password and allow it to set it up automatically.
Make sure your Mac is updated to the newest version of Mail.
If that still fails then I suggest you switch email clients. I don't care for the built in mail program. IMHO it is very buggy. -
How do I set up a mail group on mac mail? All the advise on line seems to refer to 'address book' and I only have 'contacts'. The guidance does not work when using 'contacts' - can anyone help me?

Error is because in target database undo tablespace is UNDOTBS_NEW and in auxiliary database undo tablespace name in init file is UNDOTBS. I followed the meatlink doc 433992.1 which suggest following steps to recover from above error:
1) edit the parameter UNDO_MANAGEMENT to "MANUAL"
2) start database again
3) drop the UNDO tablespace
4) recreate UNDO tablespace which matches to name in init file.
5) shutdown & start DB again.
Now, i edited init file and tried to start DB and got following error:

Hi,
I have 1 recovery disk that came with my equium, haven't used it before.
On the back of the recovery disk envelope it says "insert the first disk"
I'm assuming there should be a second?
Also what info will i need to provide during the install process? like serial number?
All i have is a black and white sticker that's on the side of the box it came in, but that was so long ago.
I'm having lots of issues with windows installer not running and many others,
Windows updates won't work either and i've tried to fix those but a clean reinstall of the os was recommended.
Now at this point nothing will install because windows installer won't work.
So i think i wil lhave to attempt a clean install, but i'm not even sure the cd drive will work.
I have gotten a great run out of this laptop, bit slow for my needs today but over all great product, bought in 2007.
With a clean os and 4 gigs of ram this thing could last for years more, can't afford a new one right now.
I have really tried to avoid using a recovery disk in the past, as i've never had any serious issues till now.

Im wondering why you get such disk together with your notebook why? Because I did not get the recovery disk but I had to create one using the Toshiba Recovery disk creator software
But my notebook is newer than your A210 this might be the reason why you got such disk
I created a recovery disk and I needed two DVD disks I think these depends on the image file size

This is not needed because your system was already activated.
But I recommend to backup your personal data because the recovery disk would format the whole HDD and you would lose the files.

My iphoto 09 keeps on downloading duplicates to a temp folder without asking when I drag a photo from firefox over to iphoto to import it. It does not happen when using safari. can some one please help?

It seems you have gone to great lengths to improve accessibility in many areas of the iPad. Why was this obvious problem with icon text size missed? (It's not with the Mac.). And for so long too.
Do you employ people with actual accessibility problems to help you do UI design?
I think too, that some buttons are too close for people who might have motor control problems.
I love my iPad but I fear as I age, the iPad might not keep up with me. -

If in my client GPO I add the physical name of the 3 servers, it works :

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Firstly check that, your user is using domain\username to enter the credential in the dialog box.
Now for a try, you can edit .rdp file with notepad and just place “enablecredsspsupport:i:0” line in it, save it an launch to check whether you are facing same issue.
As you are using windows 7 then upgrade to RDP 8.1. Also as you have already enter the FQDN name of server under “Allow delegating default credentials”. For a try please enable and configure for all the remaining settings as follow and check the result.
Start / Run / gpedit.msc / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Credentials Delegation, and make sure you have the following four options enabled and configured:
Allow Delegating Default Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication
Allow Delegating Default Credentials
Allow Delegating Saved Credentials
Allow Delegating Saved Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication
Finally, open a command prompt and use “gpupdate /force” command to apply the policy directly.

Any one knows the solution, am trying to attach the encrypted SQLite database adobe air-adobe flex bulder , it does not get attached using sqlconnection.attach throws error, though the given key is correct, but it gets open using sqlconnection.open with the same key, any one knows the solution, how to attach the encrypted data base, since am using two data base one is opened and another must be attached to the existing ,thanks in advance. using adobe air- flex related. i use the following code

It should be possible as it is clearly stated in the doc :

If the attach() call creates a database, the database is encrypted and the specified key is used as the encryption key for the database. If the database being attached is not encrypted, or to create an unencrypted database, the value must be null (the default).
so with a same encryptionkey, I (and this should be the same for FinalTarget) can open the encrypted db but not to attach it... quite strange. -
Package does not have sufficient use access
Hi,
I am trying to generate a client proxy(using SPROXY, enetered Package name, Prefix, Request number-> and click on Complete) but while activating client proxy i am getting this exception:
"Package ZBI_FI does not have sufficient use access"
Note: ZBI_FI is a package name under which i am generating my proxy. Infact if i choose someother package(like ZBI_PI etc) even then also i ma getting the same error.
This is a package related issue or some roles need to be assigned on my userId???

Hi, I got a virus that does not let me use Safari. I downloaded an av from the app.store but it did not detect anything. I am thinking in formatting the HD. How can I do it and will I lose?
1. Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.
Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.
2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and try Safari.
3. Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
Press “Remove all website data” button.
4. If adware is installed without your knowledge,
download free AdwareMedic by clicking “Download ” from here
http://www.adwaremedic.com
Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.
Once done scanning and removing the adware, quit the app by clicking AdMedic in the menubar
and selecting “Quit AdwareMedic”. -
Aperture Does Not Import Videos using IMPORT FOLDER AS PROJECTS
SOLVED - Aperture 3.2.1 does not import videos using "Import Folder as Project"
After 2 days of trying to figure this out (actually around 2 hours total) I've finally managed to import all my photos & videos last year. 200 Gigs 54,000 files. First few tries resulted with referenced photos only, no videos. I had no luck with Google, even tried moving a couple of .plist as mentioned from this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/11188017?messageID=11188017#11188017 - this worked for some but not for me. Some issues were solved by NOT selecting "Raw Only", this will cause Aperture to skip your videos.
Thank you to these people who took time to share. In return I am posting my micro contribution to the Aperture Community. FILE > SWITCH TO LIBRARY > then create a new library. You should be able to import your photos with videos in folders.
I hope this gets into Google soon. :-), I see only the file, where these photos are, not the photo names or thumbs inside the file (Aperture import path).
You mean in the Aperture Import panel the folder, where the jpegs should be, is empty?
Then you may have excluded jpegs from import in your "Import Settings".
Check the above settings in the "Import Settings" options in the "Import Window". I.e-make sure the Raw+Jpeg Pairs option is set to "Both", even if you do not import raws.
After reassembled all the programs to a new hard drive in Mac Pro
Is this new Harddrive your system volume? And are the jpegs you wat to import located on this drive? Or are the on another external volume? If yes, how is this volume formatted?
Have you checked the permissions and ownership of the jpegs? -

when I search - the search results show and i can view the emails, but inbox doesnt download emails - says load more messages x read..
the folders are displaying ok.
Smartermail 2 is about 10 years old ( im not upgrading as its working fine other than this issue ) imap is fine with other mail clients.
