Equium M40X: WLan card drivers don't work

Hello,
I just installed fresh WXP and I can't find wireless drivers in internet. I found 3 or 4 drivers but the device is still not working.
Any idea where to look or what to do?
Cheers,
Bilas

What do you mean with still not working?
Can you see the WLan card if you enter the device manager?
Are there any yellow exclamation marks near to the WLan card?
Usually on the Toshiba driver page you should find all necessary drivers also the WLan card drivers. I cant believe that this driver doesnt work.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6b76eo GPU drivers don't work on Win8.1 and ones for Win7 are older than my grandma

    I got
    HP Pavilion dv7-6b76eo
    i7-2670QM 2.2 GHz
    8GB DDR3 1333Mhz
    1TB SATA 5400RPM
    AMD Radeon HD 6770M - 2 GB GDDR5 out of ~6GB dedicated
Installed the latest version of Win 8.1 + all it's updates + the update 1. So it's as latest as possible. Even installed those Win Updates that MS threatened they will only offer to a certain point it time in May and not later than that. So it's all updated.
However, the GPU drivers don't work. Tried different forums too and even tried those brightness registry fix files, but still to no avail. Will HP ever provide a meaningful GPU driver both for Win7 and Win8? I am saying Win7 too, cos the one offered currently for my HP Pavilion dv7-6b76eo is ridiculously old ....

  • Equium M40x-189 - What drivers/utilities I need to install?

    Dear All,
    Equium m40x-189
Reloaded Windows XP, but havent found the Toshiba Utilities and drivers disk that must have come with the lappy, not a lot works and in Device Manager there are a load of devices with yellow alerts.
The internal wireless is not seeable, nor is a wireless card slotted into the PCMI expansion slot on the side.
These are just the first things I noticed were not available. Need wireless to get to the internet to register Windies.
I am not sure which drivers/utilities I need to download and install from the Toshiba download drivers web site.
Is there such a thing as a list or instructions any where that details what drivers/utilities are required to make all the 'bits' work on a newly Windows loaded laptop.?
Any help would be of immense value.
    Best regards
    Mark

    Hi
As you already said on the Toshiba European driver download page you can download all necessary drivers and tools for your notebook.
Furthermore on the website you will find the installation instructions document. Use this list as a recommended driver and software installation order.
I think this is such a list that you mean so check this!!!
Last but not least I think must install every driver and download on the Toshiba page because they are necessary for a properly working notebook.
If you have more questions, please let us know.

  • HP CM1312MPF drivers don't work via Windows 7 but works fine via Linux dual booting

HP CM1312MPF drivers don't seem work using Windows 7 (64-bit) .  Original HP drivers CD now lost. Current drivers were downloaded from HP's website. (This webpage has a number of drivers and most 64-bit ones have been tried. Prior to my Windows re-install, the machine printed and scanned satifactoralily in Windows 7. One day this O/S refused to boot and had to be fully re-installed. The reinstall has been tried on both a SSD and on a HDD. (I have 3 x HDDs and 1 x SSD in this Desktop system. and I dual boot Windows7 and Linux Mint with data on its own HDD.) No attempt has yet been made to scan after this Windows re-install, as I have a separate photo scanner.  I mainly wish on the to print on CM1312MPF, however it did scan perfectly well prior to the reinstall of Windows. THE CM1312MPF PRINTS FINE VIA THE SAME USB OUTPUT LEAD (AND POWERED HUB) AS VIA LINUX MINT 17 (PETRA)  when I dual boot and without any PHYSICAL CHANGES between changing O/Ss. It must be a driver problem, surely, mustn't it? I look forward to your help. John_of_Penrith

You can also disable that windows wireless "Critter" from device manager and it shouldn't ever again show-up in your adapter list. Thanks for the lesson. I too have wondered about the windows virtual adapter and what it's for. I never had it show-up in my adapters though in the network and sharing center. That was strange that it happened to you. I also occasionally just go to device manager and reload the adapter that came with laptop-not the windows one. It
seems to keep it running fairly well since there have been no new drivers for it. I think it was an experiment or something called the DW1501 Wireless half-mini n that came with my Dell Inspiron N7010 laptop. I don't particularly like it as compared to the other wireless adapters in my home, this thing is slow on downloads, but I don't want to bother to get a new adapter.
Anyhow thanks for the interesting lesson.

  • Easy Keys and Fn+F8 (WLAN on/off) don't work

    Hello guys,
I have bought a new Toshiba Satellite A100-490 last week. I have tested all hot keys and function keys with the pre-installed Windows XP MCE. Everything worked.
But I needed a new customized installation of Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003 on the notebook. So I installed the XP Pro from a original CD-ROM and all Toshiba drivers, except of some special Managers (Assist, Config Free, SD Memory Format, Wireless LAN Client Manager, ...).
From the Easy Keys (Browser, Media Player, Play/Pause, Stop, Backward, Forward) only the Browser and Media Player Easy Key work. Which driver is responsible for the other Easy Keys (Play/Pause, Stop, Backward, Forward)?
The next problem is, that the Fn+F8 (WLAN switch) hot key doesn't work. But when I disable the WLAN over the hardware switch, there comes a MessageBox that I have to enable the WLAN over the hardware switch first. Normally there has to come a On-Screen-Display. What is wrong?
    Please help me. Thanks!

    Hello Silas,
I have all the drivers you mentioned already installed, but nothing changed.
So I am going to install all the software and drivers again.
Please tell me, which drivers are at least required, so that every hot and easy key works.
I've put a "x" before all utilities and drivers which I have installed the last time. Did I forget to install something?

  • Qosmio G35-600 - Control buttons and card reader don't work

    Hi,
So I recently installed windows XP on my Toshiba Qosmio G35-600 and I found all the drivers except for two. If anyone out there could help me find them that would be great.
    1) The first driver I cannot find is for the Toshiba control buttons at the top of my keyboard (I believe that is what they are called). Quosmios have 12 buttons on the top above the F keys, and currently only my power button, the brightness up and down buttons, and the dolby sound buttons work. The analog TV button, the media center button, play, stop, previous, next, record, and s-video out buttons don't do anything anymore. It would be cool if i had an s-video out ability again but mostly what i want is the play, previous, and next buttons to work.
2)The second problem I am having is with my built in SD card reader. A few times I thought I found the correct driver but after installing it the SD card was not showing up in my computer.
A preemptive thanks for the help,
    Xamboni

    Hello
I think you should install the Toshiba controls for Windows XP that you can find on the Toshiba website. Check this!
    http://www.csd.toshiba.com
The driver for the SD card slot you can find on the Toshiba website too.
What SD card have you tried?
Try it with an other SD card and use the Toshiba SD card utility to format the card.

  • V570 video drivers don't work with Windows 7 Home Premium 64

Yesterday I bought a V570 notebook, with an addition Windows 7 Home Premium 64 BIT OEM, since the operating system on it was Free Dos.
I've installed Windows and started to install the drivers from the disk that came with notebook. After I've installed the Intel VGA driver, on boot I got a bluescreen, then the notebook just started to restart. I couldn't get a restore so I had to reinstall windows again. After that I've tryed to use the drivers from the lenovo page, from windows update, all the same result.
So I've downloaded an illegal copy of windows 7 ultimate, just to test it out, and guess what, IT WORKES PERFECTLY FINE! Now I can't and won't use that windows, this is why I paid for an original one, so please someone tell me what can I do to make it work! I was up until 4:15 AM and coulnd't find an answer. There is a national holliday today in Romania, so the guys from the call center are not working today.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I finnaly resolved it. If anyone else has this issue, here is what you do:
    1. install all drivers from the CD, except the ones related to the graphics card
    2. install all Windows Updates, except the ones related to the graphics card. You will have to reboot a couple of times, and keep installing until the only updates that remain are related to the graphics card.
    3. install the video drivers from the CD
    4. ENJOY

  • Drivers don't work for me.

I just installed Vista this morning, and the first thing I did was download the drivers for my Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic. At first, I wasn't even able to get Windows to recognize the sound card as a Creative SB X-Fi card, but that has since been resolved. Now, I have the drivers installed, and Windows recognizes the card, but I am unable to get any sound out of it. I have already checked all of my connections, and they all work. If I boot into WinXP on my other hard dri've, my sound works just fine. The biggest thing is in the device properties where you can test the "Supported Formats". I tested each Encoding Format, and each Sample Rate, and all of them returned the error message, "Windows was unable to play the test tone."
Please please PLEASE let me know if you had this problem before and how to resolve it...
    Thanks!

I use an audio-jack mic, not USB... and I do believe the card is set to defualt, judging by the fact that it's the only audio device installed... but I'm booted into my XP Hard Dri've right now, and I'm too lazy to go check, lol...
Also... I did notice that my Sound Card is not listed in the "Recording Devices" / "Input Devices" / something along those lines.... and I can't figure out how to put it there...Message Edited by ThePope on 04-05-200702:57 PM

  • 64 bit HP drivers don't work reliably over a network

Running Win 7 64 bit clients, and server 2008. HP's own drivers are very unreliable. Printers work ok for a while, and then for no reason start outputting garbage. Changing print driver to universal sometimes resolves the issue for a time, but garbage ensues again. Newer Laser printers like p3015dn don't run properly on the drivers supplied on disk, and HP website only provides universal, which only allow single page printing. Has anyone got a solution to this, other than binning all our HP printers (around 60) ? Additionally we have several of the same model, some of which run on the correct drivers, and others that will not, under any circumstance.. It's driving me mad!!!

  • Creative ASIO drivers don't work properly with Cubase LE or WaveLab6

It seems that there is some problematic "interaction" between the Creative X-Fi Elite Pro sound card with the ASIO-driver based Audio Creation Mode console (ACMC) and "connected" ASIO applications like WaveLab 6 or Cubase LE.
I was using the SPDIF output from a DVD player. I created a audio PCM wav file at 24 bit/96 kHz with every sample in both left and right channels being identical with alternate bits set in each sample like so:
    101010101010101010101010
When I record this SPDIF input stream with X-Fi Elite pro SPDIF-in using the RECORD section of ACMC with Bit-Accurate record mode set, the resultant recorded file is bit for bit identical to the source as expected. Great!
However when I record using Cubase LE and a project with 96 kHz sampling rate in a stereo channel with only the ASIO SPDIF L and R channels enabled, (keeping the ACMC with identical settings in the backgroun) the resultant wave file has lots of "noise" in the lowest 8 bits or so, almost like it was dithered. The same thing happens when I record using WaveLab 6.
So this seems to mean that somehow Creative's use of the ASIO driver in ACMC is not "sharing" the ASIO input bus signal properly with ASIO apps like CubaseLE and WaveLab6. For sure, the 24 bit audio recorded by Cubase or WaveLab6 is not "bit accurate" to the SPDIF input signal. I wonder what this means for the accuracy of details in recordings made with Cubase LE or WaveLab via Creative's ASIO driver??

GI've had enough of this creative broken windows 7 drivers issue...
selling my xtremegamer and buying an asus xonar dx card, hopefully that works fine. asus seems to at least update their drivers on a regular basis. I mean, the latest win 7 creative drivers are from '09...

  • Equium A300D - microphone and speakers don't work properly

    I have an annoying problem.
With my sound card on its default driver, I cannot get the microphone (front jack) to pick up anything.
Yet when I upgrade with the latest drivers I then lose the onboard speakers and can only get sound by plugging in external speakers.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi!
I dont understand why the onboard speakers not work with the latest drives.
Did you download the driver from Toshiba?
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Download Drivers
Furthermore you should check if you have the newest BIOS version. There are two BIOS versions available: One for Vista 64bit and one for Vista 32bit. So choose the right one make the update.

  • TV-In drivers don\'t work (GF4400)

    Hi!
My Problem is that if i install the latest 1.08 WDM capture Drivers from Nvidia, no TV-In Device is found by my Windows (Win98SE) (Neiter 'New Hardware found', nor does it appear in the Device Manager), so i cannot use the tv-in. I also tried other drivers from the cd, but they didn't work either.
TV-Out works and everything else (xcept tv-in) too.
    Thank you,
    Zap
    PS: I have a PIV 2,4 533FSB + Gigabyte GA-8IEXP + MSI GF4TI4400 VTD

    Capture driver
Try this capture driver. Was recommended to me by crAzy_caMel. Worked for me and for Caligula also.
Conect your TV or VCR to PC. Use a video capture program (Vegas Video 3, VirtualDub, Ulead 6, iuVCR etc) and from video source select  Video composite in (in case you use RCA and not SVideo). For audio you can select the line in. Try a 384x288 or 352x288 resolution and 25 or 30 fps. In the preview window you should see the image you're about to capture. Now hit any button for capturing (or select video from the menu - or something like that).
I agree to crAzy_caMel: try VirtualDub, it's reliable and simple to use.
    Hope it works

  • Q190 Windows 7 drivers don't work

Just received a pair of Q190s in the post and I immediately imaged them with our office's standard Win7 64 bit image. None of the Windows 7 drivers work. Not one. I ended up going to Realtek's site to get the NIC's driver. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Gilgamesh1082, welcome to the forum,
exactly what do you mean by "None of the Windows 7 drivers work"; you were able to find and download them but there were problems installing them?
Some drivers require a two stage installation, firstly the driver wil be extracted to a location and then needs to be installed from there.  If this were the case with the LAN driver it would have extracted to  c:\drivers\Realtek LAN Driver
Did you download them from the Q190 Driver Matrix?

  • P4m266 (MSI 6786 V2) On-Board VGA drivers don't work with SP2

I have a Pinnacle Micro system in the workshop which required a re-installation of the OS. The client no longer has the original installation CDs from Pinnacle and the local Pinnacle branch have declined to make a copy available to me. The mobo is an MSI 6787 Ver.2 with a Phoenix BIOS.
I installed Windows XP Home (no SP) and had no problems. I then used the CD supplied by Microsoft to install SP2. On rebooting the display was horrific. The OS automatically detected the VGA card as an S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR and installed the drivers. However it is virtually impossible to see anything on the screen, the colours are distorted and very faded. I tried to download updated drivers using the LiveUpdate feature but the first problem arose when it wanted to update the Phoenix BIOS with an AWARD BIOS...I quit in a hurry.
I have tried several drivers for this card. I browsed through the P4M266 boards until I found one which looked identical to the board I have in the workshop. However, it doesn't matter which version of driver I use none of them will give me a reasonable display.
Please can somebody tell me where I can find the correct drivers?
