Equivalence no. in kp26

Dear experts,
I will planning to do revaluation of actual activities prices at actual price but some time I am facing error at actual activities price.Equivalence no. is zero for activities type and cost center but equivalence no. is already maintained for the same in KP26.
Then need to change equivalence no. from 1 to some other no. like 11. then it will works.
But i am not calculating actual price on the basis of equivalence no.What will happen if i will delete equivalence no. from KP26(maintained it blank).
Whether this will impact to my revaluation of activity or from where equivalence no. is coming in KP26 by default as 1.

Hi Raman,
Actual Activity price calculation is done on the basis of actual quantity of activity confirmed by production people through co11n and captured in your cost center and splitting of cost on the such basis.
Equivalence no. comes into play when the system can't find the quantity confirmed.

I've had a problem running KSS2 this month and after reading some other questions and answers here, I believe it was because there has been created a new cost element, but not assigned an equivalence number.
My question is:
1. Should I just simply assing an equivalence number on KP26?
How does it work? Can I assing one cost element to one activitie?
2. If yes, can I just run KSS2 and KSII over or do I have to reverse them before running them again?

As per your definition of Splitting method-u201Cwith splitting rule Equivalence Number Planningu201D the actual cost will be splitted u201CEquallyu201D among u201CActivity Types. If you want the actual cost to be splitted based on u201CActivity Typesu201D, you need to define the Splitting Structure to any of the following Splitting Methods and assign it to respective Cost Centers :
A) By activity quantity (general)
b) By plan activity quantity

My client is having make to order scenario in which at the time of production order confirmation (co14) actual activity is confirmned and loaded to production order as per planned acticity rates maintained in kp26
i.e actual activity * planned rate , but when actual costs of activities are debited to cost center for these activities there is under/over absorption in cost centers .So i want to know what is to be done for these absorptions .Through sap help i came to know about revaluation tool at actuals ,but how it is done kindly provide some suggestions or any other method of knocking off over /under absorption so that cost of product should be according to actual activity*actual rate.

Hi Vijay,
I do not have any documentation but I can you the splitting concept one more time. It is more important to understand the concept.
Suppose you have a cost center 1000 that produces 3 activities in a month. You incur lot of expenses in the cost center, say $10,000, out of which $4,000 are fixed costs, which means these costs can not be identified to one particular activity. There are 10 cost elements which contribute to these costs.
The other $6,000 are incurred due to activity 1, 2 and 3. There are 5 cost elements which cause these costs.
Using KP06, you need pair the activity dependent cost elements to the respective activity types and plan the costs.
This way you can separate variable costs from the fixed costs.
Splitting job splits the acitivity independent (fixed) costs to 3 activities in the ratio that you set in KP26. You need to assign equivalence numbers in KP26 for each activity type. Let us say you assigned 1, 3 and 5.
Once you make the above settings, the splitting job will split $4,000 into the 3 activity types into the ratio of 1, 3 and 5.
When you run KSII, activity price is calculated for each activity, which will be the total costs per activity divided by the actual activity output. So, the KP06 costs will be added to the split costs to determine the activity price.
Please try the above concept and the t-codes and settings I mentioned yourself and let me know if you face any problems.

Cost grouping exit (PBEN0004) is not outputting the cost values

Hi,
Client requirement is adding a custom field for vesting in 171 infotype, based on this status we have to make the correct cost grouping in the user exit.
I have incorporated the logic in the user exit. When I execute PA30 transaction for infotype 167, it is triggering and giving the right cost group. But after successful execution it is not showing the cost values(giving initials).
My self and functional guys checked the config steps and placed perfectly, technically nothing wrong in the user exit. So i am in big confusion. Please share your experience in this regard if you come across before and suggest if you have best solution.

I have already included the same cost center in splitting structure.
I have solved the problem but some doubt in my mind.
1) I have maintained 11 equivalence no. instead of 1. problem is resolved.
but my question are
a) I dont want equivalence no. in kp26. Is it require for revaluation of activity type?
b) when i changed equivalence no. from 1 to 11.Problem is resolved.What is the logic behind it.

KP26 Change Values - Add Values demanding an integer?

I am not an FICO consultant so please be patient with me if I am missing the obvious but I can't see why KP26 is working the way it is. When I go into 'Change Values' and use 'add value', I get the error message "Enter the number in a valid format (0 decimal places)" if I use a non integer value (e.g. 1.25). Furthermore when I do put in an interger the price is update by that amount; e.g. if I put in 1, my price (fixed) becomes 11.50 from a starting value of 10.50, but it also appears in the Plan Activity, Capacity & Variable Price columns?
When I use the Revaluate option, the it works as expected and only the price (fixed) column is updated.
I am using planning layout 1-201.
Any help much appreciated.

When you are selecting the items to change are you selecting the entire line or just the specific fields you want to change? I suspect you are selecting the entire line. If that's the case, the system is trying to add the amount to all key fields selected, which includes the equivalence field. The equivalence field can only hold integers, so you get the error message.
If you want to add an amount just to your prices, then select the column or individual cell and then add the change amount to that field only.

Actual cost splitting error (Equivalence numbers)

I am facing an error during actual cost splitting (KSS2) . The situation is working fine in the case of Plan cost splitting (KSS4)
I want to split costs in a cost centre based on equivalence numbers. But, i dont see any option of maintaining equivalence numbers for actual cost splititng. The option is available ONLY in KP26..
Hence, I have maintained equi no.s only in KP26. This gives me error in KSS2 Quoting some divergence error. The message reads that activity price calculation did not converge
It shows me a picture on screen which displays a loop between activity types. I am unable to understand it
Can any one guide me on this??

Error exec. Background Mode a Batch-Input using KP26 Transaction Code

I have a program that build a Batch-Input based on transaction code KP26.
I encounter the following error :
Field Z-BDC02(1) is not an input field (Program : SAPLKPP2 Screen : 0112)
When executing in background I got the error and when executing in Foreground, it is OK.
I use SHDB to look at the field needed and it gave me the same field to use.
Here is an extract of my program for the field I have the issue on :
    PERFORM F100_BDC_FIELD USING 'Z-BDC02(01)' I_T01-LST.
    PERFORM F100_BDC_FIELD USING 'Z-BDC05(01)' I_T01-SPRED.
    PERFORM F100_BDC_FIELD USING 'Z-BDC07(01)' I_T01-TOV.
    PERFORM F100_BDC_FIELD USING 'Z-BDC08(01)' I_T01-TOF.

Just one remark: batch input is always executed in synchronous mode (hopefully, otherwise we would get many lock issues during mass updates!) Or is there something I missed?
Same thing when you use BDC_INSERT, CTU_PARAMS is ignored ([SAP note 1437811 (Batch input: BDC_INSERT parameter CTUPARAMS)|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1437811 ])
About the issue, I don't know, so maybe explain more about the context: for instance, do you run the session under a different user? (for instance, the user could be assigned a transaction/screen variant with table control variant, that protects some fields) Do you have one transaction in the batch input session or are there several ones. Try with one only to see if it works. If yes, then maybe it's something in memory that changes the "input-capability" of the field after the first transaction.

User equivalence check failed in solaris 10

Hi,
i am trying to install oracle clusterware on solaris10.
when i executed clusture varification utility , user equivalence test is failed.
each node have same username,userid,group id
and i configured SSH also using
exec /user/bin/ssh-agent
/usr/bin/ssh-add after generation of rsa and dsa keys and putting this to authorization file.
it is not asking password for ssh and scp after executing this command but again user equivalence check failed
but after logging of and do login again to oracle user its not working. then again i have to set ssh that is

wat else i have to check for this?

Failed to back flush in IDES 4.7 due to kp26 proplem

I Failed to back flush in IDES 4.7, and afterwads i found it was due to a system problem with kp26 which should be patched with KH47012. I tried spam ,but failed.I could not proceed. any opinions will be appreciated.

We are writing a report and we normally maintain fixed values in KP26 as labour rate for the whole year , for us we have diff Controlling area curr and Object currency .. i would like to know from which table i need to get the values for object & controlling area currency ..

view the table COST using SE11, you will find a column for each period/month to store the values (in CO-area currency and object currency, the totals and the fixed values).

[SOLVED] PKGBUILD equivalents for other distros

I'd like to package some of my tools for other distros - mainly .deb and .rpm based for now. Ideally, I'd like to not have to build full packages for each distro, but instead host build scripts or equivalents of PKGBUILDs for other distros. As I am not nearly as well versed in other distros as I am with arch, I'm not sure how to find the needed information to accomplish this.
To take .deb as an example, the pacman rosetta page suggests debuild is the equivalent tool to makepkg. However, the debuild man page indicates that debuild can simply be run within the source tree to build a package. Certainly this can't be the case, unless there are distro-specific files within that source tree that debuild finds and uses. That man page does not indicate what these files are and how they are written.
I have found documentation for creating full binary packages for debian-based distros, but is there an equivalent to a PKGBUILD? I know for Gentoo, ebuilds are well documented and should be quite doable. But frankly I'm pretty sure most gentoo users wouldn't need my help with those. I'm currently primarily targeting .deb as many novice linux users that I'd like to make a couple of my tools available to seem to use ubuntoo.
I suspect I may just be missing the proper documentation and/or am not using the right search terms. Any nudges in the right direction would be appreciated.

I recently discovered Debian's `checkinstall` which is very close to what I was looking for. One can easily create a script that will download and install a "non-debianized" source package as a .deb that can be managed by dpkg/apt-get.
Allegedly it can also create rpm packages, but I'm not going to worry about trying that out for a while.
A simple example of a script to allow debian/*buntu users to install one of my packages can be seen here. There is an executable script called `makedeb` - guess what it does. There is also a package-specific file called DEBBUILD - guess what that's for . With just those two files, a debian user could run the script which would get the needed info from the DEBUILD to install the needed dependencies, download and build the source, install under the watch of checkinstall to a temp directory, have checkinstall build a .deb package, remove the builddeps (and optionally all deps installed during the build), and leave them with a *.deb file ready for dpkg.
This instance of makedeb was intentionally made generic so it could work for other packages, however it is also *very* simple and so will not work for all other packages. A DEBBUILD is nearly identical to a PKGBUILD, except the dependency names need to be converted to the debian deps (and there may be many more deps needed as you cannot assume our base/base-devel components are there ... and split -dev packages suck).
Making this DEBBUILD + makedeb made me wonder how hard it would be to convert our own makepkg over to work on top of apt-get/dpkg. I've installed debian (crunchbang) on one of my systems to experiment with this. I've realized there may not be much to it really. I've just completed my revision to the actual makepkg script (and makepkg.conf) to make a full featured makedeb and makedeb.conf. It is not yet tested - and once I test it I may find it is not nearly as complete as I had hoped. But the goal is to allow PKGBUILD -> DEBBUILD conversions to be quite easy (just change the deps).
I may post my full featured makedeb in "community contributions" if/when it passes a few basic tests. It will not run on arch, but it is suited for archers who need to make debs. It may eventually run on arch (there are dpkg is in the AUR, and so is checkinstall, though it is very broken ATM), but this is not a goal of mine.

Error in T.code KP26

Hello SAP Experts,
After entering price in 'Planned Activity' field and posting it in T.code KP26, i am getting an error as "Update was terminated" received from author "FIUSER" while exit. i have also checked the error in T.code SM13, it displays the error status in Module name (function) "OBJECT_NUMBER_INSERT_GENERIC". I have also checked the number range in T.code SNUM
and Object "CO_ABRECHN" number range exists in the company code and also assigned to Element/Group- "Group without text" Where have i gone wrong? Due to this the PP Consultant is not able to assign "Activity type" in Work Center. Please Guide.

KP26 : Prices are not coming out correctly

My client is having some problem with Activity Price Calculations through T.code KP26. The Client didnu2019t have this issue before the upgrade to ECC 6.0. Client actually wants to make the price uniform for all the months. Please refer below for what we need:

Client is of the view it is because of the default value 1 in the equivalance no. column. Sap has set the default value as 1 for the column and the client is not getting the desired output. Is there any way of making this price uniform?

Equivalent # coloum will not have any impact on that. This seems to be a unique problem after Upgrade.
Suggest to open OSS message its a program error.
